Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Hikaru stood with her hands on the table in front of her, peering down at her Mother's journal, which lay open amidst piles of other, sturdier-bound books. Her father Kaito sat nearby, examining a diagram drawn on green paper and relating the specifics to his daughter. She had been making excellent progress with controlling, shaping, and molding her chakra to different natures thus far, and she wanted to be able to master it. Hikaru stepped back from the table and formed a handseal. She felt her chakra course through the tips of her fingers, focused on the feeling of her chakra and on shaping it into something new. A warm breeze swept around her, her chakra nature taken form- it fluttered the faces of the open books and escaped into the open air of the balcony the two stood on. The girl opened her eyes- she hadn't realized they had been shut- and sat down beside her father, exhausted. She had been trying her hardest to control that wind, but Air-style techniques had never come as easily to her as Earth, despite being her chakra's true nature. As she rested, preparing to try once more, her father would explain a particular part of the journal she was training from, telling her stories of her mother soaring through the sky and laughing.

Hikaru jogged through the streets of the Maple District, dodging raindrops with a cloth-wrapped parcel gripped close to her heart. It had been a day of fervent training from early morning until about an hour ago, when her father had asked her to deliver the package during their break time. She glanced at his scribbled directions once more- the ink was beginning to blur from the mist and she hadn't been to this particular part of town in quite some time. She was sure this was it... wasn't she? The modest shack, shoddy and discolored compared to the other Clan Houses, sat silently in the rain, an unmoving testament to whoever had once lived there. Hikaru slid open the door and placed the damp parcel inside, pausing to take in the old house's interior before she returned to her own home. Ornaments and decorations outlined the aged wooden furniture, and cloudy gray light from the window illuminated a familiar family symbol that had been inscribed onto a book- the Amari, her mother's clan. Of course. Though it was normally far from her to waltz into strangers' homes and make off with their reading material, the girl had a feeling that this book had been left here for her, specifically. She took it in her hands, concealing it thoroughly under her jacket to shield the precious object from the rain, and left as quietly as she had came.

Effect: By increasing the chakra cost for a jutsu by +10%, they can increase the damage by +5%. This move only works on offensive jutsu and may stack up to three times on a single jutsu. All CP reduction buffs to a jutsu effected by this are nulled.

Effect: The user is able to perform all Jutsu handseals with one hand.

Those who have a powerful connection with chakra themselves have an intimate knowledge of how to disrupt that connection in others. By specially molding a jutsu, the Attuned ninja is able to cause it to blast away an enemy’s chakra instead of their health.
Effect: Once per round, the user may have a Ninjutsu deal Chakra damage. The chosen jutsu only deal 80% Damage, and receives no buffs at all.

Normalize - Passive (2 points)
Chakra Attuned users like to say their chakra is pure, rather than twisted toward one particular element. Some of them take this to extremes, making their chakra tuned toward no elements at all.
Effect: All Elemental Damage caused by the user is treated as Non-Elemental Damage. Gives Ninjutsu +10% Damage that bypasses half of the target's damage reduction.
Note: This does not allow converted Ninjutsu to use Affinity Moves or other techniques that they can only use for Non-Elemental Ninjutsu.

Hikaru stood in her office, near the window. She held a thin book in her left arm and a classic unarmed fighting position with her right, facing an unfortunate member of the Byoin's demonstration dummy population. Open on the metal table beside her was a collection of documents pertaining to Human Anatomy, particularly its applications in combat. While she had been making efforts (and great progress, too) to study every field the Medical branch had to offer, ranging from Botany to Astronomy, she found it easy to ground herself in her main field- Combat medicine. She was beginning to have a keener eye for battle, able to pull apart the aspects of a fight one by one and analyze their causes and effects.

Hikaru faced the window, where light streamed into her room and fell upon the pair of gloves she was sewing together with smooth cloth and leather. They were the same handwear used by the surgeons in the Konoha Byoin, obviously modified to suit a different need- combat. She only had one set of gloves that were usable for sparring or fighting at the moment, and since she had resolved to practice her Taijutsu more in the coming days, she had decided to make herself a second pair. Trying to prioritize the gloves' durability and potential accuracy over any defensive capabilities like her others, she was just using simple cloth... perhaps not elegant, but it would hopefully do the trick.

The gloves fit well, surprisingly; she had been following a set of instructions that she found in a decrepit old book in the hospital somewhere. Hikaru put them on, tightening and relaxing her fingers. They felt durable enough, and would hopefully afford her better precision than her other pair. She stood, stepping back into an imitation of a fighting stance- facing her wall, she threw a group of quick, light strikes against the wood. Yet again, it surprised her how well the makeshift gloves worked for her purposes- she would have to find that book again.

Hikaru reached the training grounds after a short walk, her bag slung over one shoulder with the new pair of gloves inside. The grounds appeared to be empty, and she set the light bag down, inspecting its contents. She had remembered to bring everything, which was a relief; she had noticed herself becoming a little forgetful lately, with the increasing workload of her new position and the other preparations she wanted to make for the Leaf's upcoming Student Tournament. Not that she minded either of the two, of course. She took new pride in her role as Medical Chief, and was very excited for a chance to prove herself in the tournament- though it was advertised as a student tournament, anyone below Jounin level could join, and she had contacted the organizers for permission since she had only been promoted very recently. She would likely be one of the highest-ranking competitors there... which wouldn't matter, of course, if she couldn't live up to the title of Combat Division Chief. So she had split her time between work and preparing herself for the matches, poring over records of previous tournaments and stopping by the training grounds to practice whenever she could.

Replacing Healing Factor with Strategist
Hikaru removed new set of gloves she had fashioner earlier from the depths of her bag, folding them over her hands and curling her fingers into sharp fists. They certainly afforded her more freedom and flexibility of movement than her other pair, although they were basically just regular gloves that wouldn't fall apart as easily- no metal plates or extra Chakra boosters or whatnot. They would likely enable her to strike with more accuracy, but she'd have to try them out to make sure of that. The Mednin approached one of the conspicuous training logs propped upright and buried in the ground, staring at it intensely and tightening her fingers. She threw a single punch with her right hand, which struck its mark without much force. She adjusted her stance, and struck again, focusing the power of her arm into the attack. Then she tried the left, mixing up the trajectory and angle of the blow to best catch the lump of dead wood off guard. Taking a moment's rest, she thought about how useful an accurate but weaker strike would be in battle... if it could move much faster than a normal punch, she might be able to string it with other Taijutsu if she could move quickly enough.

Replacing Jutsu Mastery with Elemental Illusion
Much later, Hikaru sat on the ground, resting for a few minutes. She was deep in thought, wondering about a certain technique she had heard a little bit about- the ability for proficient users of both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu to mold the two together, adding the properties of an element of Chakra to the illusions created by Genjutsu. It was a difficult task, and she really wouldn't consider herself an expert with mind tricks- she'd have to consult the boundless wisdom of the books she had in the Byoin.

Stepping into her office, Hikaru flicked the light switch and strode over to the shelves of books on the wall nearby. Very few of them had information on performing Genjutsu, and those that did she had already read over quite a few times, but she still had yet to finish a volume about healing wounds caused from their effects. Opening to a specific page she had marked the previous weekend with a piece of paper that read, 'Cancel technique can be used on others?', she read from a passage that described the effect she was after- by weaving handseals corresponding to a Ninjutsu element into the activation of a Genjutsu, one could imbue that illusion with the properties of the element.

Replacing Initiative with Wind Style
That evening, Hikaru was back at the training grounds, standing on the tip of the foremost tree trunk with her eyes closed. She had long known about certain Shinobis' ability to enter into a fighting style based around a particular element or weapon, but had never been able to quite perfect one herself. Though she had tried, she couldn't seem to create her very own fighting style using simply non-elemental chakra- not one substantial enough to be of any use in a serious match, that was. The closest she had ever come was coating her entire body in chakra, then agitating it and trying to spin herself around as fast as possible like a top. Needless to say, it did not go very well. The most damage she ended up doing was to herself, in fact, when she had fallen over after a few seconds of wild blue spinning. The thought was there, she supposed, and the proper theory, but it just didn't work for her. As good as her control over her chakra was, she couldn't control the flailing of her own limbs as effectively.

As a result, she decided to experiment with the Wind element, the base chakra nature shared by both her and her mother. Fortunately, in-depth guides to the manipulation of Wind-based chakra existed in several of the scrolls bearing the insignia of the Amari, her mother's clan (borrowed and never returned by her father, she had a feeling).

Blue Breakers

Hikaru stood in her office, near the window. She held a thin book in her left arm and a classic unarmed fighting position with her right, facing an unfortunate member of the Byoin's demonstration dummy population. Open on the metal table beside her was a collection of documents pertaining to Human Anatomy, particularly its applications in combat. While she had been making efforts (and great progress, too) to study every field the Medical branch had to offer, ranging from Botany to Astronomy, she found it easy to ground herself in her main field- Combat medicine. She was beginning to have a keener eye for battle, able to pull apart the aspects of a fight one by one and analyze their causes and effects.

Replacing Quick Reaction with Weapon Mastery: Unarmed
Hikaru faced the window, where light streamed into her room and fell upon the pair of gloves she was sewing together with smooth cloth and leather. They were the same handwear used by the surgeons in the Konoha Byoin, obviously modified to suit a different need- combat. She only had one set of gloves that were usable for sparring or fighting at the moment, and since she had resolved to practice her Taijutsu more in the coming days, she had decided to make herself a second pair. Trying to prioritize the gloves' durability and potential accuracy over any defensive capabilities like her others, she was just using simple cloth... perhaps not elegant, but it would hopefully do the trick.

The gloves fit well, surprisingly; she had been following a set of instructions that she found in a decrepit old book in the hospital somewhere. Hikaru put them on, tightening and relaxing her fingers. They felt durable enough, and would hopefully afford her better precision than her other pair. She stood, stepping back into an imitation of a fighting stance- facing her wall, she threw a group of quick, light strikes against the wood. Yet again, it surprised her how well the makeshift gloves worked for her purposes- she would have to find that book again.

Replacing Combat Instinct with Quickdraw
Hikaru reached the training grounds after a short walk, her bag slung over one shoulder with the new pair of gloves inside. The grounds appeared to be empty, and she set the light bag down, inspecting its contents. She had remembered to bring everything, which was a relief; she had noticed herself becoming a little forgetful lately, with the increasing workload of her new position and the other preparations she wanted to make for the Leaf's upcoming Student Tournament. Not that she minded either of the two, of course. She took new pride in her role as Medical Chief, and was very excited for a chance to prove herself in the tournament- though it was advertised as a student tournament, anyone below Jounin level could join, and she had contacted the organizers for permission since she had only been promoted very recently. She would likely be one of the highest-ranking competitors there... which wouldn't matter, of course, if she couldn't live up to the title of Combat Division Chief. So she had split her time between work and preparing herself for the matches, poring over records of previous tournaments and stopping by the training grounds to practice whenever she could.

Replacing Healing Factor with Strategist
Hikaru removed new set of gloves she had fashioner earlier from the depths of her bag, folding them over her hands and curling her fingers into sharp fists. They certainly afforded her more freedom and flexibility of movement than her other pair, although they were basically just regular gloves that wouldn't fall apart as easily- no metal plates or extra Chakra boosters or whatnot. They would likely enable her to strike with more accuracy, but she'd have to try them out to make sure of that. The Mednin approached one of the conspicuous training logs propped upright and buried in the ground, staring at it intensely and tightening her fingers. She threw a single punch with her right hand, which struck its mark without much force. She adjusted her stance, and struck again, focusing the power of her arm into the attack. Then she tried the left, mixing up the trajectory and angle of the blow to best catch the lump of dead wood off guard. Taking a moment's rest, she thought about how useful an accurate but weaker strike would be in battle... if it could move much faster than a normal punch, she might be able to string it with other Taijutsu if she could move quickly enough.

Replacing Jutsu Mastery with Elemental Illusion
Much later, Hikaru sat on the ground, resting for a few minutes. She was deep in thought, wondering about a certain technique she had heard a little bit about- the ability for proficient users of both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu to mold the two together, adding the properties of an element of Chakra to the illusions created by Genjutsu. It was a difficult task, and she really wouldn't consider herself an expert with mind tricks- she'd have to consult the boundless wisdom of the books she had in the Byoin.

Stepping into her office, Hikaru flicked the light switch and strode over to the shelves of books on the wall nearby. Very few of them had information on performing Genjutsu, and those that did she had already read over quite a few times, but she still had yet to finish a volume about healing wounds caused from their effects. Opening to a specific page she had marked the previous weekend with a piece of paper that read, 'Cancel technique can be used on others?', she read from a passage that described the effect she was after- by weaving handseals corresponding to a Ninjutsu element into the activation of a Genjutsu, one could imbue that illusion with the properties of the element.

Replacing Initiative with Wind Style
That evening, Hikaru was back at the training grounds, standing on the tip of the foremost tree trunk with her eyes closed. She had long known about certain Shinobis' ability to enter into a fighting style based around a particular element or weapon, but had never been able to quite perfect one herself. Though she had tried, she couldn't seem to create her very own fighting style using simply non-elemental chakra- not one substantial enough to be of any use in a serious match, that was. The closest she had ever come was coating her entire body in chakra, then agitating it and trying to spin herself around as fast as possible like a top. Needless to say, it did not go very well. The most damage she ended up doing was to herself, in fact, when she had fallen over after a few seconds of wild blue spinning. The thought was there, she supposed, and the proper theory, but it just didn't work for her. As good as her control over her chakra was, she couldn't control the flailing of her own limbs as effectively.

As a result, she decided to experiment with the Wind element, the base chakra nature shared by both her and her mother. Fortunately, in-depth guides to the manipulation of Wind-based chakra existed in several of the scrolls bearing the insignia of the Amari, her mother's clan (borrowed and never returned by her father, she had a feeling).

Before I forget!

Claiming a Major affinity to both Earth and Fire for mastering all jutsu of their elements. Also claiming a Minor affinity to Water for mastering half of its jutsu!

And with those, I can claim my last two free Advanced Elements: Explosion (Major Earth + Minor Fire) and Wood (Major Earth + Minor Water).
