The shinobi of Konoha drew their weapons with almost synchronous timing, their intense focus falling on to Kiko, she could feel the power emanating off of these two, not dim lights like the others she had killed… no, these two shone bright. Though her opponents could not see anything but the angry demeanour of the Sunan puppet, Kiko’s concealed face split in to a wide grin.
‘Finally, a challenge!’ Kiko thought, her excitement barely contained within her artificial body.
The Kaen-meat-puppet flashed forward with blinding speed, the flames around his hands trailing behind him as he quickly closed the distance. Weaponised hands sliced through flesh with little resistance and deadly precision, both leaf shinobi struck multiple time by the blur of Kaen-puppet. The puppet slid backwards, creating distance once more as the leaf shinobi reacted, the human puppets cursed chakra pulsed through her victims thoughts, warping their individual perspectives on the world.
The Konohan Sennin responded in kind, her whip(?) blindly lashing out towards her assailant with unerring accuracy, cutting deeply into the Kaen-meat-puppet.
‘Perfect!’ She thought as she purged the stores of blood given to her by Akkuma. The blood splashed outwards from the wound in the puppet and across the hard pavement in front of the Hokage Tower.
If investigated later, this blood sample would indeed be the actual blood of the ‘innocent’ Sunan shinobi she impersonated, Shinku Kaen.
This is where the two leaf shinobi’s realities diverged…
To Soku, the Sunan shinobi would gnash his teeth in frustration before making an innocuous hand signal as if to the shadows and then, in a flicker of speed, completely and totally disappeared. A group of shadow appeared to land in response to the departure of the redheaded meat-puppet! To the Leaf Sennin it must have looked as if the Sunan had called reinforcements and fled the scene.
To Daisuke however, the ANBU would feel his muscles atrophy, skin beginning to rot where the vicious strikes had made contact with his body. In reality it was a Genjutsu, but to the Konohan ANBU it would feel all too real. Kiko was impressed with the speed the ANBU seemed to react to the mental onslaught, slipping out of the human puppets visual awareness with a jutsu she herself had used only minutes earlier to ambush and slaughter his countrymen… Active Camouflage…
As the Sennin struck their assailant with her attack Daisuki would see the whip(?) tear flesh, though no blood would come from the wounds. The man would then raise his hand before seeming to rot away in a split second, leaving a small, lithe female form stand and take his place.
Both the Konohan shinobi could now see their new assailant plainly, her skin looked almost porcelain white, as the new figure flashed towards the Sennin, six copies of the woman flashing into existence, each striking out at the Sennin before fading into nothingness moments later. What came next was unexpected for the Puppet Assassin, Soku struck!
First, ignoring the attacking clones her whip once again found its mark finding the one real body within the blur of clones. Second, the Sennin used a technique Kiko had never seen before, striking out to thin air… at first Kiko thought the attack had been unsuccessful but then she felt the impact, the strike flicking her puppet body through the air and tumbling into the street!
‘How did she see me?!’ Kiko thought, changing her stance and sliding to a stop ready for the continued assault, but it never came! It was then that Kiko realise the Sennin still did not know her true location!
‘An attack that can hit your enemy like that… the utility of such a thing is endless!’ She thought, her unnatural eyes studying the Sennin with a new respect.
She lingered too long though, the hidden ANBU used her distraction to his advantage, tendrils of steam striking out from the mist seemed to clasp on to her real body, she felt the resistance as she tried to move, the steam clinging to her like a living thing! She was in trouble as she now realised she still had no idea where her attacker was… was this how the Sennin felt?

The two puppets moved through Konoha with haste towards the Phoenix Gates, and escape from the village proper. One of the puppets was a young Kunoichi, no older than 18 or 19, with a Sunan headband tightly around her neck. The other, I giant red headed man who was an exact copy of the Sunan ANBU named Kaen as demonstrated to the girl by the Dark Sage of Suna himself. The larger of the two Sunan puppets was blood slicked, mostly with Konohan blood but also leaking true Sunan blood from the wounds inflicted to his flesh by the Sennin (currently bleeding out at the Hokage Tower). His large, flame singed hands still tightly held the trophies he had claimed, namely the Sennin’s heart and the still unconscious ANBU slung over his shoulder.
The trail of blood led all the way back to the recent battle and would be intentionally easy for any trained shinobi to follow, no, the pair were not hiding, it was inconsequential if they were intercepted, she had seen no soul in the village even close to the brightness of the two lights she had just snuffed out. Any intercepting shinobi would be committing suicide at this point, like throwing yourself into a woodchipper in the name of Konoha… Pointless…
The puppets both suddenly stoped in their tracks though, standing boldly on the roof of one of the larger buildings between the tower and the gates, stoped in place with unnatural stillness. Their silhouettes clearly defined against the bright moonlight shining over the alert enough quiet village beneath them.
To hesitate was to die though and Kiko knew that by now all of Konoha would be hunting for them. This meant they needed to leave… even the dimmest angry mob could overpower a single armoured knight no matter how well trained… the mob prevails eventually.
What had stoped them?
Not caution, no something else entirely had stopped the Sunan disguised pair in their flight from Konoha.
An immense power began to shine in the distance, unlike any she had felt since arriving in the village. The power moved like smoke through the village towards her with speed.
A grin came over the young girls face as the shadow power surged onward, a darkness and a fury behind the unliving eyes of the puppet as focused her attention towards the onrushing power.
An invisible action impelled the silent Kaen meat-puppet to commence his controlled sprint towards the village gates, his movements now executed with cold efficiency and none of the previous flair or expression.
Like a cold automaton the red headed giant of a man quickly sped out of sight and away from the grinning girl still silhouetted clearly against the moon, black hair moving gently in the calm Konohan night breeze.
Now the sheep would run to the wolf… but would the wolf bite?
