It took but just a few moments for his daughter recompose herself, her eyes beaming up towards him despite his hand still sitting on her head. There was a moment of silence, as usual. He simply basked in it, enjoying this warm sensation he enjoyed. His daughter than broke the silence, her high pitched voice ringing in his ear.
Otomo Azumai
"You haven't forgotten your promise have you Papa? You said you help me train!"
Her words spoke truth, but of course, he hadn't forgotten. Unlike her mother, he took pride in his daughter, despite having not known for her long, or the fact she hadn't been born as a infant, but still. Returning the gaze back down at her, she could the very same eyes that were in him when he was younger, before the event that changed his life. Foolhardily they were perhaps, but at the same time, they were full of eagerness and determination. These traits on their own, weren't bad, but like himself from past experience, he knew he had to hone it, to prepare her for the future she would walk down. His palm still sat on the top of her head, his fingers brushing through her long blonde hair, causing her to keep her smile as he returned to the conversation at hand.
Tamashi Seto
"Of course not. It is a father's responsibility to aid in the development of their child, and as heir, It is my responsibility to train your body so that you may defend yourself."
Although he retained his calm demeanor, Azumai could tell he was serious by the serious tone he spoke, even as he kept caressing her head. She returned the gesture with a determined expression on her face. She clenched her fists as she brought them close to her small, child like chest.
Otomo Azumai
"I want to be strong as you papa! Mama told me of your story fighting a super big wolf! I want to become strong too! So I can protect you and Mama!"
Seeing the innocence in her eyes, he felt moved by her words, causing past memories to flood his mind, reminding him of the numerous time he said the same thing to his elder sister, though in his case, she would sometimes do the opposite, albeit out of affection. He sighed internally. Good memories, but the fact still remained, he still hadn't seen his elder sister since his return. He was sure the Raikage was keeping her busy, being in the ANBU and all. He shook his head momentarily before looking down at his Kami daughter, still demonstrating that young eagerness to prove herself. He smiled.
Tamashi Seto
"Come, it's time to begin your training. I know just a place to teach the future heiress of the Otomo Clan in the arts of warfare."
Taking hold of her small, gentle hand, smooth of any imperfections, he began strolling towards the keep's massive door that led outside. He met no resistance as she happily followed him, tightening her tiny grip around his rough hands.
Otomo Azumai
"Where are we going Papa?"
He raised a eyebrow but didn't look down as he pulled her still towards the doors, two Destroyer retainers opening the doors to the outside world.
Tamashi Seto
"You see.....It has a rather....special place in my heart, having been trained there myself."
He said that but than his memory instantly remembered of all the times Sunako pummeled him into the ground, either through her unrivaled brute strength or though jutsu that threatened to eliminate him instantly had he not kept up on his training. He wouldn't be that hard on her. Despite his trials and the trauma he carried, he didn't think he could, but knowing life, he may very well have to one day. He was not looking towards that day however. For now though, he had the fortune of being able to teach her the bare basic's. He doubted Izumai had begun her training and he very well doubted she could control chakra, let alone utilize it in such a matter befitting a battleground. It was time to see he guessed.
