Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A Nuke, Not A Mercenary [Requesting Entrance]

It wasn't the first time the Uchiha's vitality was tested then revived. He was well adapt to the shinobi lifestyle and just like any other active shinobi, he understood that losing consciousness and leaving your fate to shinobi medicine was part of the job. Although the Kumogakure medical techniques slightly differed from that of the land blessed by the sun and water, it was very similar at the same time. Darkness turned to awareness, all before he opened his eyes. He laid there, hearing the Kumogakure shinobi talk amongst themselves. Anatsu was now regaining his ability to think and realize what happened even though he had no idea what happened. He had lost all awareness sometime just before he arrived to the gates. His loss of blood, fatigue, and hunger had caused his body to act without his consent. He was dazed for a while but was now starting to regain his senses. Those senses contained his shinobi genius that would allow him to escape this situation. He didn't even need to check, he knew, or at least assumed, that his weapons were stripped off him. He had restraints on his ankles and wrists, there was no moving for this shinobi. There was no escaping. His only option was to cooperate.

Upon realizing he only had one option, his eye lids began to lift, once again revealing the eyes that could see it all. His Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, known to the experienced and tested shinobi, were now visible and they shined very brightly in the dim room. His face was no longer yellow, it was now starting to look like the face of a shinobi that was young, experienced, and healthy. Anatsu was a great healer, although he was nowhere near 100%, he was starting to look aware.

He didn't move an inch, didn't make a noise, he simply looked around the room. Thinking over once again if he should use Dojutsu or not to make his great escape. However for now, he would try trusting the Kumogakure shinobi. Anatsu had never been captured by anything other than the means of Dojutsu before so this was a humbling, yet fresh experience. Well, he was positive he'd find it refreshing when he made it out alive. As for now, it was mostly humbling. Actually, when he thought about it a little more, it wasn't humbling, it wasn't refreshing or exciting.

It was absolutely terrifying.

(Actually tried with this post hoping the read was better)
[OOC: Im assuming y'all healing my character, the last person is taking a long time to post... Skipped ahead a little]

While the sennin arranged for a private room, Kahako made necessary preparations for the Uchiha to be transported. Her back was turned to Ayumu when he approached her asking to stay and treat the strange man. “Of course, Ayumu-sama, this is why I was called, no?” Both Kahakos’ said as they turned their heads towards him, but only the original kept the eye contact. The clone looked worried at first, and then would blush and suddenly busy herself with the two ANBU who were carrying the Uchiha into the prepared room. “I want to talk to you later, though.” She said softly so that only he could hear her before walking away.

With that, she followed the escorts into what could only be considered an interrogation cell. The dankness of it was off-putting but the dampness she could definitely use to her advantage. With the restraints finally tightened and the ANBU out of her way, she began her work.

With any type of poison fully flushed from his system, the clone placed both her hands over the man’s eyes and began pushing small amounts of healing chakra into the man’s eyes. She didn’t have much experience in the Sharingan per say, but optical nerves were optical nerves. Meanwhile, the actual Kahako gently tore away the bloody rag that was his shirt, leaving him bare-chested so that she could work without visual interruption. She lifted her hand above her, palm up, closed her eyes, and waited. For a second, nothing would happen, and she would look quite strange. Soon water began to pool above her, dripping and pooling just above his chest. When a decent amount floated in the air, Kahako opened her eyes and began her work. More handseals and gentle movements ensued. As if the floating water was nothing more than a condensed rain cloud, it trickled along his body, washing away days of dirt, blood and grime. Many wounds looked to be borderline infected, and there were even a few deep ones.

“An unhealthy amount of blood loss,” Kahako said simply before taking what was left of the water and cleaning the wounds of infection. The tissue began to heal, but when she was done, it would not be enough to be considered safe. The clone, once finished with his eyesight, called a different set of handseals and placed her hands above the man’s heart. Slowly, color would return to the Uchiha’s body, proof that blood cells were being force to rapidly reproduce themselves. The actual Kahako, not yet done, signed an actual medical jutsu to close anything that still looked life threatening. Over time, she sealed what openings in his body were left, leaving lasting scars, thin skin, and sore muscles.

After a while of silence, the clone, who was still using the coagulation jutsu to recreate blood cells perked her head up. “His pulse is rising, I think he’s waking.” Immediately, Kahako would let her clone poof in a puff of smoke before creating a few more hand signs.

His eyes opened, and the all too familiar sight stared back at her. Kahako remembered when her sensei pulled her into the dojutsu’s world for training. Seeing those eyes fully healed caused her to pause. There were similarities within their Sharingan, and for a small fraction of a second Kahako had hoped that it wasn’t a stranger, but her beloved and missing sensei looking around the room.

The pause did not last long, however, as her jutsu was slowly pulsing and centering onto the tip of her middle finger. “Uchiha-san,” she called gently, holding up a finger with her empty hand to those in the room behind her. She was requesting for their silence, for the time being, knowing that the first moments of consciousness from a previously wounded shinobi could mean either him remaining calm or him attempting to break her neck. She let the drop again, and smiled sincerely while standing next to the man’s chest.

Slowly, she reached with her hand and touched his forehead with her middle finger. “My name is Higa Kahako,” She said calmly and softly. Immediately when her finger brushed against his skin, he would feel a sudden sense of clarity. His muscles would lose their soreness, and any stiffness that he could feel would, for a short time, seemingly disappear. She looked away her attention seemingly at her hand on his forehead. An intentional movement that she flawless made seem natural. “I am a medical shinobi of Kumogakure.” Slowly, she traced her chakra-inked finger back and forth along his forehead, the clarity coming clearer as it passed lazily along his brow. “What is your name?” she stated simply. She kept the light not shining in his face, but over him so that it would be difficult to see the others in the room. She knew that too many questions right now would overwhelm him, and too many unknown people could cause him to panic.

[OOC: Sorry, started work this week, but it had only been 2 days. I was already working on this post, so as punishment for skipping me, I tore up Anatsu’s shirt. :p MFT 800+]

Hikari followed the gate Shinobi to his "favorite room", a dank place which could only be considered an interrogation cell. The bed in the center of the room was one Hikari had no doubts, which had held in place, many people, shinobi or no. The Santaru turned and said to Fuyuri, "This is adequate, thank you. You are dismissed." As the ANBU put the Uchiha in restraints, and turned the light on.

As Kahako began working on him, Hikari, realizing that they would not decide what to do until the Uchiha was awake and able to speak, turned to the shinobi who had initially greeted the Uchiha. "You've done well," She said, "Handled yourself with the sort of responsibility that I expect from Shinobi. I want you to know that I have noticed. How long have you been with us in Kumogakure?" She was, of course, thinking of the many and varied positions in her branch, which could be offered to a strong and wise Shinobi. She thought of their missing gate captain in particular.

“An unhealthy amount of blood loss,” Kahako said quietly as she worked.

As time went on, they waited outside the bright light which surrounded the mednin and her patient, in relative silence, except, perhaps for a few words exchanged here or there. Kahako noted, eventually that he was coming around. “My name is Higa Kahako, I am a medical shinobi of Kumogakure. What is your name?"

Hikari waited for his answer. With luck, he'd be cooperative, realizing that his situation was one which would only be hurt by needless further conflict.

Ayumu watched as Kahako did indeed work her magic. She began ripping away the shirt to inspect what wounds Anatsu had. She used her water ninjutsu to wash away the dried blood and dirt which made it more obvious where the problems were for the rogue shinobi. What it did reveal she then began to clean and heal to make sure there would be no infections. Meanwhile, Ayumu couldn't help but overhear Hikari speaking to the Jounin. She commended him on how he handled the situation with Anatsu, asking him more about himself. He had distinguished himself in front of his Sennin. In the end, it was perhaps a good opportunity for him that a rogue shinobi came to the gates that day. Ayumu's attention was brought to Anatsu whom Kahako cautioned was coming around. "Be careful of his eyes," Ayumu cautioned in return before Kahako held up her finger to request the rest of them to be silent for the time being.

As he was awakening, it was probably best Anatsu didn't feel ganged up on. Ayumu was inclined to agree and so he kept silent. As he woke up, Anatsu began to peer around the room. If he was a normal person, the light on him and Kahako would make it difficult to see the rest of them. Those eyes, however, would spot them regardless. Hopefully he could keep his composure despite that. With luck he would focus on Kahako for now as she introduced herself and asked his name. A name would certainly be somewhere to start, but he doubted any of them would know the man by his name. It was a casual question, however, and perhaps that would help him to relax and not feeling as though he was being interrogated. Ayumu simply continued to remain silent but vigilant as the rogue and Kahako conversed.

The Jounin had kept silent this whole time, doing as he was told to do and helping where need be. Kane kept to the corner of the room where it was the darkest, keeping himself out of the way and out of the line of sight of the captive. The Uchiha was starting to awaken after the medic used her ninjutsu to heal the major wounds of his body. While standing there thinking, about nothing too important, his Sennin Hikari came over and started talking to him. She acknowledged his work today and seemed grateful for it as well. It was a foreign concept to the Jounin. Someone semi-thanking him for following orders and protect someone. Being appreciated felt... nice? She then asked the jounin a question. He kept a straight face and responded to her "I just do what I've been trained to do all my life m'am." he said to her first comment and then allowing her to finish speaking before replying again with the following comment. "I'd say about a month or two now. The day seem to blend together now a days. I originally hail from Kirigakure M'am." Not that she didn't already know that last bit most likely, but it was always nice to have information freely given rather than her going behind his back to retrieve the information.

He would constantly be watching the Uchiha from now on though. He didn't trust the delusional and possible blood thirsty shinobi, especially with the medic right next to him. Not that she couldn't handle herself but there was no need for a hostage situation either. Somethings were better with simplicity. Kane would keep his distance for now, refusing to look at the Uchiha directly in the eyes. Blasted Sharingans.... They always like to make things difficult. Cocky bastards...

There wasn't much going on. There conversation seemed to be kept to a bare minimum. The Uchiha was quite getting better but he was still a little under the weather. He had suffered a lot of injuries in his travels. He needed food and water. Regardless of those facts his bright red eyes gazed around the room, attempting to understand the situation. He listened to them as they addressed him. They clearly feared his Dojutsu. He had no intention of using any dojutsu anyways. However all these answers overwhelmed him. He needed to speak, he needed to answer them..

"I don't know my name. I don't... remember anything." he said very slowly and quietly. He continued to gaze around the room like a lost man.

Perhaps the Kumogakure shinobi would not believe him. He had a lot of blood on him and his bare chest showed more than a well defined body. The naked eye would immediately notice numerous contusions, scratches, burns and other forms of damages. This shinobi's body had been heavily tested. There was no doubt about that even to the untrained observer. What had caused these injuries was the question at hand. The Kumogakure shinobi were clearly cautious of the man and it didn't take him long to realize that. Him being restrained didn't help his memory too much either.

Kahako ignored the others in the room. Her duty was to get the man before her healed enough for an interrogation. Though his response was short, she was able to gather quite a few pieces of information. One being the fact that he was quite done with the rabid fireballs... at least for now. Another fact was that he was coherent, which was wonderful. However, the lack of memory worried her. "It is okay Uchiha-san. Don't stress to hard. Your memory will come back naturally." She slid her hand down to his cheek, partially to focus his attention on her and partially to check his eyes. "Well your sight seems to be functioning again and your pupils are returning to normal." She smiled at him when he looked at her. "I have a friend who would like to talk to you. Her name is Hikari-sama." She waved Hikari over with her hand. "I'll still be here healing you, but don't try to push yourself, okay Uchiha-san?"

From here Kahako would grow quiet. Slowly pushing healing Chakra into the man's body.

[Ooc: types this on tablet, will format later]

Hikari nodded at Kane's words, "A few months is long enough. I'd like to talk to you after all this about your position in the village." She said, hushing for Kahako, and watching as she spoke to the Uchiha. Kahako introduced and identified herself for the Uchiha, who claimed memory loss. The Santaru looked coolly at Ayumu, then back to the mednin and her patient.

Kahako continued explained the situation, reassuring him kindly. Kahako really was suited for this profession, she thought. "It is okay Uchiha-san. Don't stress too hard. Your memory will come back naturally." She assured him.

She might also be a good Ambassadorial candidate... though I doubt I could steal her away.

"Well your sight seems to be functioning again and your pupils are returning to normal." She smiled kindly as they waited. Hikari took a deep breath as Kahako told the Uchiha, "I have a friend who would like to talk to you. Her name is Hikari-sama." She waved Hikari over with her hand, and the Sennin stepped forward. "I'll still be here healing you, but don't try to push yourself, okay Uchiha-san?"

"Hello." Hikari said, her voice soft and friendly. "I am Sennin Tanaka Hikari. You say you don't remember anything? What about the gates? Do you remember attacking my people?" Her voice was still friendly, still soft, but underneath the veneer, was the firmness of fact. "At the gates, just now." She prompted, in case he didn't respond right away.

Kahako was very gentle, very careful in trying not to upset the Uchiha. Ayumu wondered just how much experience she had using that soothing way of speaking to try to calm patients. Unfortunately, it seemed that the Uchiha had forgotten his name. Ayumu sighed quietly at this revelation. It figured. 'Well, at least we know his family name... but seriously, amnesia? Is this some kind of bad daytime drama?' he thought, shaking his head as he put a hand on his hip. The good news was that he didn't immediately start trying to attack them again. Perhaps being healed had brought him back to his senses. Regardless, Kahako called Hikari over to speak to the visitor. The gates were Main Branch responsibility, so Ayumu had no intention of trying to strong arm his way into this interrogation, though if he had anything to say he would speak up.

Hikari stepped into the light and greeted the man with a calming voice not dissimilar to Kahako's. From there it took a very different turn, however. She got straight to the point of asking if he remembered the transgressions he had just committed. She was going to be looking for motive for that, because if he had such motive what was to stop him from doing it again? They were going to need to determine if he was dangerous. That was the point of this small gathering. 'Talk about good cop, bad cop,' Ayumu thought, considering the difference between Kahako's approach and Hikari's. His own role for the time being was going to be that of an ANBU: to remain in the shadows and observe.

The small questionnaire was done and now onto the real interrogation with the Uchiha laying on the table in front of them. Kane, watched from the shadows being more of an ANBU than most ANBU's he knew, besides Ayumu. The Sennin seemed to be doing that particularly well. Kane was not part of this interrogation, he was there as back up and as muscle, to help make sure nothing went wrong. Politics wasn't his place.

(OOC: sorry... not much for Kane to do)

Simply far too many questions all at once. The dazed Uchiha was trying to not see split figures, never-mind making sense of the whole situation. Their questions made him think, think hard about memories he did not seem to recall, as it was evident by his blank face and lack of answers. He was surrounded by just way too many people at once. He felt overwhelmed and his health did not help his situation one bit. The damaged and bare chested young fighter from Konohagakure wanted to say something, anything, perhaps for the first time in his life. However, he was lost for words. His eyes continued to gaze around the room. He then thought he would start simple, just letting his subconscious guide him.

"I need food.. I need water.. I need medicine.. I need sleep.."

Would they permit him to enter the village? Would they arrest him? Would they take care of him? That was yet to be determined.

"I need food.. I need water.. I need medicine.. I need sleep.." He said blankly.

Hikari sighed, "I need to know that you will not be a danger to yourself or others before I can allow you to rest in a place on par with the damage done to your body. If you cannot or will not confirm for me either way, I cannot and will not place you in a setting through which you may do damage to my people. I hope you can understand that, Uchiha san." She waited for a moment. "You have water, you have medecine, and you have slept." She said, pulling out a wrapped snack from her satchel, then opening it and offering it to the man, holding it out so that he knew she would hand feed him- as his arms were bound. "And now you have food. Gather your thoughts. We will wait."

After he either refused the food or ate it, Hikari would step back and address Ayumu. "Kogami san," She said quietly, "He seems unresponsive to my techniques. If I recall correctly, interrogation is an ANBU speciality. Would you care to demonstrate?"

Ayumu observed Anatsu as Hikari questioned whether he remembered the actions he had just taken against the shinobi at the gates. His eyes seemed unfocused, everything he did seemed sluggish. He had been deprived of food, water, and sleep for some time it seemed. Stack his injuries on top of that and it was no wonder he seemed so out of it. Predictably, his answer was of no use. He requested food, water, medicine, and some place to sleep. In the state he was in, that was all he could think about. Ayumu remembered back when Takayama was first teaching him about interrogation. A subject being deprived of their basic needs to this level was not suggested, as their thoughts would be consumed with self-preservation and more difficult to focus. It wasn't they who had brought him to this state, but he was in it regardless. Ayumu watched as Hikari removed a snack from her satchel and fed Anatsu, trying to remedy one of his issues, though a snack would only stem the tide slightly.

"Kahako, you can go. I'll call you again if needed," Ayumu said to the Med-nin, offering a smile of thanks. She had helped tremendously, but she didn't need to be there any longer. She had done her part and her presence only put her in danger if the man was still dangerous. Additionally, having too many people in the room wasn't helpful for relieving the man's apparent shyness. He watched as she left and then turned to Hikari as she spoke quietly to him, asking him if he would give talking to the man a try. "I don't believe he's going to be very cooperative until his basic needs have been attended to. In his current state I imagine he can't focus very well," he responded before stepping into the light for Anatsu to see. 'I don't believe this has progressed to the point where more persuasive techniques would be appropriate, either. Not yet,' he thought as his eyes adjusted to being in the light.

"Seeing as you've forgotten who you are, I'm going to see if I can find any identification on you. I'm not going to hurt you, so don't panic," Ayumu said. If Anatsu had any sort of backpack or anything of the sort it would have been brought in with him and Ayumu would start by searching it. Failing that, he would check Anatsu's pockets, speaking to him all the while. "You may not recall, but you attacked the last person that tried to give you water. You can see why we're hesitant, I hope. We can't let you into the village, we must protect it and our people above all else. If you can't answer questions right now, I'll have to insist that you remain in here until you feel up to it. Or, if you feel better now that you've got something in your stomach, you can answer now: Do you remember attacking us at the gates?" he repeated in hopes that the food he had ingested would bring him back to his senses enough to answer some questions.

[OoC: Does Anatsu have anything that could identify him at all on him or in some backpack or something? An old passport or Konoha headband? If so, I'd like Ayumu to find it so perhaps this can go somewhere.]

The Uchiha was still bombarded by questions. Apparently he had attacked these people moments earlier. He shook his head when asked about his memory of attacking them at the gate. Being in pain and what not, he had a hard time talking. He had nothing on him of any sorts of identification except a Konoha forehead protector that was slashed right through the middle, indicating that he was a rogue shinobi of the Hidden Village in the Leafs. The man was being quite violated in this part of the world. He could only imagine what they did to captured women. He hoped they would help him out soon because otherwise he would have to attempt to take action in order to flee. It was no secret that he was intimidate and potentially even afraid. His piercing red hot eyes gazed around the room. No one dared to make eye contact with him. This was the blessing of the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

"I'm sorry I attacked anyone. I'm having a hard time remembering any of this. I feel like I've just woken up from a terrible comma. My head hurts so much". said the Uchiha slowly as he was still strapped to the Kumogakure medical bed. He wished he could remember enough to tell them anything. For the mean time he would have to be as honest as possible until the importunity to heal and rest up was presented to him. He knew he was no harm to them or anyone. In fact, he felt absolutely harmless and hopeless. The air felt dense as he attempted to relax and breathe. Everything was just so stressful. Would they allow him to live? Would they allow him to go? Would they help him? These were all questions that were going through the Uchiha's mind. Not saying much and attempting not to breathe heavily, he continued to gaze upon the room, observing every single tiny detail. It was a trait that every elite shinobi possessed.

[OoC: Thank You Ayumu and Hikari for posting.]

She listened silently as Hikari tried to question the Uchiha. Once again, he iterated that he did not remember anything. But the flicker of her jutsu began to fade, telling her that there was nothing more shinobi medicine could do. Now, the rest of his healing depended on his physiology.
Ayumu said:
"Kahako, you can go. I'll call you again if needed,"

“Hai, Ayumu-sama,” she said. There was no longer a need for her, despite her wanting to stay. Kahako personally had no interests in politics or what decision the two sennin would make for this man, but she always wanted to make sure her patients reached their full health. She trusted in both Hikari and Ayumu to be just to him while keeping Kumogakure safe, as was their duty. She stepped away from the man and walked away without another word towards him.

If she ever saw him again inside the village, she would welcome him with the same smile she gave him when he woke up. Maybe inquire about his health, and learn if he could remember himself. On her way out, she turned to Ayumu as she passed him. The fireball that consumed his clone from earlier scared her badly, but now was not the time for her to seek comfort from him. Not in front of another sennin and two strangers. He his eyes moved to meet hers, and she gave him a look filled with emotion that only he would be able to see. The sparkle in her eye then dimmed as she nodded to him and opened the door to leave.

Hopefully, they would be able to talk freely later.

[TLUS]

Hikari was beginning to feel frustrated. He didn't remember anything, he was tired, he was scared. He couldn't tell them anything, he had absolutely nothing on him to indicate anything other than that he was a missing nin from a dead village. Ayumu was doing what he could but this seemed to be a huge waste of time. Ayumu dismissed Kahako, who bowed and left as she was bidden. Once Ayumu finished looking through the Uchiha's things, she would ask in a voice so quiet only he could hear, "What do you think? We could send him to jail or kick him out. I don't feel comfortable with his amnesia. Feels too easy."

Hikari was suspicious, she met his eye with a glare. Frankly his status at the moment made him incredibly unintimidating. He was looking around too much for someone who 'didn't remember anything' and whose head 'hurt so much'. If he could remember anything, they might be able to help him. As it was, it seemed that they had helped him as much as they could.

Ayumu scratched his head as the man apologized for any attacking he did, apparently completely having forgotten what he did. Kahako went on her way, though not before indicating that she wanted to speak with him, if only through her eyes. He wondered if she had been shaken up by the events at the gates today. Regardless, she disappeared through the door and Ayumu was left to deal with the amnesiac rogue from Konoha. The headband Ayumu held in his hand indicated that the man was from Leaf City, or whatever it was they were calling themselves before it was overrun. The slash through the symbol was a practice common to those who betrayed their village and became Missing-nin. Those generally regarded as the scum of the shinobi world. There were refugees from Mist and Leaf alike, but generally their loss of homeland was not their choice.

The fact that the man had purposely betrayed his village combined with the fact that he had attacked those who offered aid to him made it seem foolish to let him anywhere near the interior of the village. The fact that he now had supposed amnesia did not help his case, as now they had no way of finding out whether or not he would be dangerous whenever his memory did come back. When he had it, apparently he deemed it wise to attack the shinobi of Cloud, so what was to stop him from doing so again once he regained it? Hikari spoke to Ayumu, voicing similar concerns and Ayumu nodded.

"It's unfortunate that you lost your memory. Without it we really have no way of verifying who you are and if you pose any threat to the village. What we do have to go on is this," Ayumu said, holding up the slashed headband for the Uchiha to see. Perhaps it would jog his memory somehow, perhaps not. "This is a headband from Fire Country's Konoha. The slash indicates that you decided to part ways with your village, though most likely not with their blessing. Fortunately for you, perhaps, Konoha has fallen. I don't imagine you'll be hunted. That said, given your interaction and inability to cooperate with us, we can't let you into the village. You have received medical attention, food, and water, despite what you did. I think it will be OK for you to rest here, but once you have, I'll have to ask you to leave," Ayumu said, ready to bring this meeting to a close before it went in circles any longer. He looked to Hikari to make sure that she was in agreement. Ayumu had opted to take the more merciful route rather than have him thrown in jail. If both Anatsu and Hikari were in agreement with this, Ayumu would free the man from his restraints.
