Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

She squatted near a run off stream which originated high up in the snow capped mountains to her backside, a single kunai blade submerged beneath it's running waters. For a few feet and for only a few seconds would ribbons of crimson run with the water's flow, freeing itself from the weapon. Ao was inaudible as she washed her ninja tool, the grass behind her stained equally red yet no trace of bodily harm having come to her. For a moment her eyes would stare into the reflection produced by the clear stream, a ripple from a passing fish distorting the mirror image. At some point between the distortion would be a disappearance of the three tomoe, her eyes returning to normal leaving only her natural cerulean eyes to peer through the holes in the mask adorned. Standing fully it would only take a single swiping motion for the kunai to be relieved of any traces of water and would swiftly be positioned beneath the right sleeve of her cloak.

Extending her palms, she calmly clap both hands together with each individual finger interlocking in a series of handseals which would culminate in the holding of the final seal. Her chakra, invisible by normal means would be filtered into the air around her and interact with the natural vapor that filled the atmosphere. Collecting at a source just in front of her being, a sphere which would start as small as a marble would over time enlarge to become a bowling ball size of collected water which floated free of the ground. Staring into the sphere of water her hands would motion once more and only weave through a single sign independent from the series before. The effect would however have a connection to the technique which gathered the water in the first place as her chakra still persisted through the water vapor in the air. Ripples would start to be produced within the sphere, covering it's surface area but only originating from a single source. It was a simple sensory jutsu, one which allowed her to keep track of any chakra signatures which entered the vicinity of her influenced area and dictated as a ripple source on the orb for location purposes. For now, she was alone within the clearing..

Placing her hand along the Anbu mask, she remove it from her face and quick shift to slide it into a pouch on her backside. There was no need to replace her cloak as it wasn't anything defining or symbolic, just a black hood cloak which easily covered almost to her knees and extended beyond her fingertips. The temperature at the foot of the mountains cool, enough to cause her breath to be visible with each exhale yet even here she was not at the mercy of the weather.

"....I hate being dragged this far away to track down targets.."

She'd place her palm along the pouch on her backside, within resting not only her mask but a sealing scroll which was filled with human remains to be disposed of at a separate location not to be traced back to this position or to an anbu operative being the one to have caused the beings demise. Taking a few minutes to ensure the grass where the blood had remained stained had been diluted with a puddle of water, she'd find her gaze attached the mountainous majesty at her backside. There was something captivating about this area of the world, where the earth met the sky and the snow blanketed the crown of it's tips in white....where nothing resided and yet everything lived. This momentarily time to take in the sites did not last long as she would cancel the sensory jutsu causing the orb of water to break apart.

All before beginning to walk casually for now towards the general direction of the Dragontooth Pass. It would take some time to reach there, faster if she was sprinting however she neither had a sense of urgency nor a reason to rush back.

Tskiko – Moon Daughter of the Kirko Clan

She had forgotten how long she had been stalking this creature for, Tskiko caught its scent was it strayed into her hunting ground. The harsh weather had driven Tskiko from her mountain home leaving behind her clan and family, the young females had all left in the search for food in the low lands, the seemly endless winter had caused many of the creatures that would normal keep them sustained to hibernate longer, forcing her clan to adapt. She was just one of the many that had been sent away, while it pained her to do so she knew that she had to. The life of the old and young where in the balance if she did not return with something substantial or those left wouldn’t last much lower.

The creature had stopped by a stream the scent of blood in the air made the feline remember just how long it had been since her last meal. Sure, she had eaten rabbits and other small creatures but a thing the size of the creature before her would not only keep her feed but also those back home for a good while, or at least till the weather let up anyway. The feline’s cyan eyes narrowed as she watched the creature bend over to the water, submerging something in the stream Tskiko didn’t know what it was but is was shiny.

Sensing her chance Tskiko crouched down, the feeling of the grass scrapped her stomach as she kept her body close to the ground, she tensed her muscles keeping them tight like a pressed spring. With a sudden blast of kinetic motion, her long elegant body went flying through the air towards her target, time seemed to slow as her target moved for its spot. Not able to change her trajectory Tskiko landed less than elegantly in the stream, the cold water soaked her fur causing her to catch her breath.
”Why couldn’t you have just stayed still you stupid creature, now look at me!” She growled at the cloaked creature bearing her teeth at it. ”Now it looks like I am going to have to do this the hard way,” Tskiko lowered herself ready for a second attack.

Her first response and one as instinctual to a shinobi with her level of experience as pouncing prey was for an animal from the untamed wilds, was to suddenly turn her body within the same motion as a leaping back step. Still slightly off the ground, the same kunai which had been concealed just earlier within her sleeve would slide upwards (more than likely due to some hidden mechanism) into her awaiting grasp. Landing with a skid, she get her first real focused glance at what had caused such a splash behind her that it had triggered the woman's reflexes. Waiting her gaze was an admittedly unique looking big cat, but she was more caught off not by it's appearance but what it had managed to accomplish. This hunter had become hunted with such natural skill from the large beast that it had completely went under her radar, both escaping around her usually reliable sixth sense and even her sensory jutsu. She was astonished mentally although her facial expression radiated a more fight or flight emotional response. Shifting the kunai, it's blade would spin forwards and be caught once more in her grasp with the edge end pressed along the inside of her arm.

"Risk assessment, make sure this is worth it.."

Those were the only words spoken from her lips after she had heard the cat speak and words chosen for a reason. This scenario was one she would have to work to her own favor as currently the outlook could easily swing in either of the hunter's direction. In the cat's case she would have a spectrum of natural agility and power that Ao could not fend off with but a simple kunai blade, with speed that was equally likely to be superior. Her case however was spearheaded by two simple truths, the first being that Ao did not know what this creature was or if it was a creature at all. The world was filled with demonic entities, specters, summoning animals and even those shinobi talented in various transformation techniques. All of this went through her head in a way that dictated various possibilities for this particular engagement. Was it possible that her mark had an accomplice that was skillful enough to evade her senses and could mimic the exact physicality of such a creature? Or was this truly a case where Ao had wandered into a hunting ground and was seen as food. Regardless of which happened to be the truth, the second reason this entity would have to second guess itself was much more visual.

The gaze within her blue eyes had changed as the hue radiated a lighter spectrum of azure pigment, with three tomoe appearing around her pupils momentarily spinning as they materialized. Ao was a uchiha by birth and blood and the eyes of the sharingan stared completely focused into the eyes of the tiger. She did not blink, her gaze never faltering as she awaited the beast's next move while backing up in slow and subtle movements. If the cat leaped then she was sure one of them would not live past that first pounce as she would aim to kill as much as Tskiko would do the same.
