Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The box was prepared to watch over the matches with detail and precision, ten seats and no more. In the middle of the seats was a bigger one and on top of the chair stamped the Hokage official seal of office, no surprise on who’s seat this one belongs to. The balcony had the ability to be leaned on and in this situation, it was clear that people in this box would be watching the students with hawk like precision. This was the box for the branch representatives and the Hokage. It was for them to decide who would be attending to give the offer of joining a branch.

The ANBU stood at the guard to the entrance steps, unlike before this was guarded by six of the well-trained professionals that were there to give their lives in the name of the village if the situation demanded it to be done. It was clear that this tournament had got quite interesting by far. The hype that had been whispered around the village was real and it seemed that everyone was getting themselves into a frenzy. The area had been specifically laid out with drink available a few people from the village hired to make sure that very important guests were well catted for.

Upon entering the area that was there each seat would have a small slip of paper on it, revealing the order of the fights today as well as what information could be gathered on the build of each of those that was involved in the tournament. With information on each of the fights and to make remarks on the fight for those that would be getting themselves involved in the recruiting of each person to the branch. The names would be taken at the gates to this booth to verify that they were who they said they were.

Each branch would be able to recruit a few members at the end and speak to them. Seeing if their interest was there, while the option to talk to all the fights was available it would be for a lucky to that was ticked on the sheets that the offer would go to, now it was just a matter of them accepting the offer before it would decide who would be joining. The seats where upholstered to the best of the craftsman abilities and it was clear that hard work had been going in onto this work.

With the hosts waiting around to serve those that would arrive, the voting cards would be ready and pens and paper to wrote notes. It was clear that the situation was one that everyone would be paying interest in. It was not often that new recruits would be tried out this way and it was a chance for all the branch heads to meet in one place. It was a rare opportunity to do some branch building in this situation and make some friendships happen. Something that was much needed in this current day.

Takeshi has only just made it home and now he found himself once busier as ever, he allowed himself to whistle as he thought about the true issues at hand. This was a nice distraction for everyone and he had already invited Yuki to join. It wasn’t much of a spending time together but at least he would have some time with her. As he entered threw the normal arena entrance he looked at the crowds that were about. Seeing that they were talking and what kind of conversation they were having brought a smile to the lips of the Uchiha.

IT seemed that a few names kept coming to the head of the ANBU branch, he would have to pick silently, and he had the aid of one of his Captains. He allowed himself to smile slightly as he walked threw to where the ANBU were standing guard, a few of them instantly saluted him as they recognised the return of their Sennin. As he walked up the steps he wanted to make sure he was here early. It seemed that the day was of course one of those hard times that he would be forced to socialize with others from every single branch.

“Keep an eye out and make sure that nothing goes wrong today. Expect the other visitors to arrive shortly”

Takeshi was blunt with them today, but he had every reason to be. He had just returned from the village and he was going to be now spending the day watching the fights taking place. His mind still going over everything that had come to pass in the last year of his travellers. He walked up and admired the hard work that had gone into making sure that everything was now up to date.

As he looked out over the arena he heard the announcers giving there talk to everyone that was there. He scanned the crowd and allowed himself to wave at everyone who was present to at least show himself as present before talking one of the seats at the front row. To be precise he had chosen to take the seat next to the Hokage chair. For reasons that he was not about to sharing with everyone. He allowed himself to smile for a few seconds before summoning one of the local waiters that was close by to look after the group.

Allowing the man to head back after he spoke a few words with them in a couple of seconds. Knowing full well that he still had a lot of work had been done. His hand came out as he picked up the cards and begun to examine the students by name, he allowed himself to mumble for a few seconds picking out a few names that had been brought to his attention already.

“Juko, Minamoto Suyashi, Uchiha’s two of them and then there is this puppet boy Dokuso Maru. This should be interesting”

He allowed himself to slot the cards back as he waited for the matches to begin, the drink brought over for him as he took it and thanked the man for the experience. He allowed a smile to come from his face as he recognised the familiar drink he had gotten he allowed himself to drink down the whiskey slowly as he waited for the matches to start. It was time to see who the ANBU branch would invest their time and efforts into.

It was entirely too early for all the hype, reading over the student profiles he liked Ryo, Jukom and Shinzo, especially that last one, who had sent him a letter to help him learn the ways of opening the gates. It was going to be a long process, but maybe he would assess the boy's skill before deciding whether he would do it or not. Either way, Tamashii would arrive on the scene dawned in a suit as always, but no tie on this day. Shades. Everything else was typical. Always the well dressed man, but he would definitely show up with files for all the students with pictures in a binder as he would look on to the fighting. Seeing Takeshi he would bow to the man, "Comrade! It is joyous to see a friendly face amongst the drool. I see your trip to Sunagakure wasnt in vain, you've seemed to come back quite stronger.", or at least he looked stronger than before.

Taking a seat away from him to the Left of the Kage's chair he found himself huffing awaiting the appearance of Yomi... Especially with sightings of Umashi as of late. "...I'm eager to see what Shinzo and the puppet boy Maru do...", looking at Minaoto Suyashi's profile... the boy seemed to be bad at most testing getting an average grade on everything academically but everything shinobi wise was slightly above... 'Slacker...? Or underachiever...' he'd watch but he was already unimpressed.

Yomi barely made it to the Tournament. It was not due to lack of wanting to attend, just for lack of energy. Her diet had not been the best, and it was finally taking a physical toll on her. She hadn't been by to see Mikasa either, and had been ducking her. She couldn't avoid her now, unfortunately, but this was her bed and she had to lay in it.

The tournament was on and she wondered what she was in for. She had one person she wanted to look at in particular, Shinzo, the feisty 8 year old that she had meet during Kenshin's class. Yomi promised him that she would keep a look out for him and if the woman liked what she saw she would give him that fight he wanted. Also The Hokage wondered if the Inuzuka would make an appearance whom she met during that same class, she liked him too even if he was a little rough around the edges. Yomi hadn't really looked at the match-ups, opting instead to be surprised. This year, there was a lot of students in the Academy, each with so much potential that there was much to be excited about. Hopefully all the students would have something that would wow everyone.

Her stomach was upset, so she ordered a Cranberry and Seltzer, after she watched The Anbu Sennin order his drink of choice. She frowned a little as she was jealous that she couldn't have one too. No one's fault really...although she could blame Umashi for it. Taking her seat she waved at Takeshi and adjusted her sunglasses. Kenshin would be arriving shortly, as would her other two Branch reps.

Eyeing Tamashii she smiled at him the way she did and waved at him as well. Today would be a good day.

Adjusting her spectacles, the Medical-chief retires from the overnight rounds, a wisp escapes her pursed lips. Sheepishly she rubs at her eye wear, momentarily forgetting she had fixed there grip upon her features and more importantly smudging the lenses. Fortunately Mikasa heading to her petite apartment, not the most lavish of locations, however certainly comfortable enough for a simplest. In the distance the roar of a crowd beckons for her immediate attention, the maidens ocean blue eyes widen dramatically, "The tournament..." her mouth stays ajar for far longer than necessary, dumbfounded she had forgotten the date. Truth to be told, between the academy courses, private tutoring, locating Lord Umashiashikabihikoji, and becoming comfortable as the medical head had she been sidetracked.

Twisting about, the woman streaks towards the Konoha Byoin once more, platinum hair trailing behind in her wake. Bursting through the doors she awaits a faceless male, a few stray files in his left hand and folded neatly in his other an ivory coat. "Teamwork makes the dream work." the shinobi calls out with a chuckle, a scarlet flush appears on the features of the kunoichi, "You have my eternal thanks!" she lowers her gaze to the floor, before taking notice of the medic gesturing towards the ludicrous amount of smudges on her eye lenses, "You may want to clean up so you don't frighten the students." he addresses.

Power walking, Mikasa arrives in the nick of time. Raising the bracket parchment, her azure gaze frantically scrambles to view all the participants and the match ups. In that moment her heart drops, Dokuso Maru and Minamoto Suyashi were placed into the same bracket and to make matters worse, combating in the initial round against one another. Would it proper to cheer for either of the lads? Ignoring the issue, Mikasa heads to the designated booth, the spectacular birds nest.

The moss headed shinobi was stuck out, nodding her head politely towards the Sennin she takes notice of Lord Tamashii - bowing her head respectfully. "What a view!" she leans forward onto the railing, overlooking the arena. Her features lighten up considerably, despite the crows feet on full display, "Maru-kun! Keep calm and stick to what you have learned!!" she cups her hands around her mouth, yelling loudly as she flails her arms about. Inhaling deeply she continues her loud cries, "Suyashi-kun! Don't be reckless!! Do the Minamoto proud today!" she wishes to speak more, but upon turning about she smiles warmly towards the booth full of superiors and equals, "Students of mine, feel free to pick them though." she states in a simple tone, taking her seat to examine the remaining files.

Swiping through the files, her grin widens, "Uchiha Ryo, Yaboi, Akihito Yoroza, and Nokugara Kouza. All from my one class, should be interesting." pausing for a moment she extends a file towards Takeshi, pertaining to Yoroza, "Keep a close eye on this one. He may peek your interest." the medical kunoichi mutters. Turning back around she swipes through the remaining files, studying them intently, "Uchiha Miyako, Rakutsu Hayasa, Shinzo, and Juko. I should place these files together by match up.." she concludes, taking notice of Takeshi's drink of choice, not deeming it appropriate for the occasion.

Lady Yomi arrives and the Medical Chief turns about, a frown appears on her features. No words were needed, she walks up the additional steps to her viewing chair, "Ma'am." she bows her head respectfully, smiling sweetly.

Today was the start of the tournament and Kenshin was ecstatic. Today was when these young students would get a real test of their abilities. Oh it would be glorious for all to watch and experience! This next generation will be a fine bunch. He had trained some of these students at least a little in person.

So Kenshin would show up to escort the Hokage to the place NOT wearing his usual attire. Today he had his headband proudly showing on his head and was wearing an enthusiastically made shirt that said "1st Annual Student Tournament" and a bight pair of of red slacks with the symbol of the village on them. He was wearing his gauntlets as normal, but in each and he held two little pennant flags with the Fire countries symbols on them which looked ridiculous compared to Kenshin's massive hands and muscles.

He would step into the booth behind the Hokage and inhale greatly.

"Today is a glorious day for leaf my friends!" Kenshin would say a he beamed at everyone. "Today we see the first few steps of the next generation the next generation of the will of fire. Who knows, one of them may become a Sennin or even Hokage at some point. Ha! The possibilities!" Kenshin would roar with laughter and approach the edge of the box waving mightily to students and the audience, weaving those little flags with much gusto.

Kenshin would also take a look at the listing and true enough there were names here he recognized.

"Shinzo, Yaboi, and that Ryo were all students of mine! I hope they do well. They showed potential." Kenshin would say scanning the field for them. It looked like Shinzo would be next round. Still, he would continue his waving and being wayyyy too excited.

Akumi had what felt like a long morning, Apparently she could feel pain from her other path, she learned the hard way as he had a kink in his neck from sleeping on the ground. Akumi didn't like sharing her bed, she rolled, and would probably beat herself in her sleep, plus her bed wasn't big enough for two, and it might have been hard to explain if Tama came home and saw her in bed with a man. He didn't know that she had two bodies now, but today she'd get the chance to show it to him.

After getting dressed, and eating breakfast, Akumi, both of her bodies, went to Kitsune park to watch the tournament. She had a job to recruit students into the Main branch, her goal was at least two students. The other Branch heads would be there, and they probably had more experience with these kids than she did, so she was kinda at a disadvantage. That wasn't enough to make her not try though. It would be a long week, but she already had in mind of a student she wanted but she wasn't sure how to play it, she guessed she'd just wait till the end of the tournament to talk to the students, hopefully, she could get the two she wanted. But if they choose other branches then so be it.

She was wearing her usual attire and was supporting the Konoha headband on her forehead, while her other self-was wearing shorts, a jacket, and had his headband around his neck.

Arriving at the stadium, Akumi went to the Box that held the branch leaders. Six ANBU were guarding it, which made her a bit anxious. But either way, she went into the box with her male self. She wasn't sure but she showed ID anyways, and they could probably guess the guy behind her was a path since she did not hide her eyes. She was new branch head and was recently hunted by these guys, at least she assumed they were.

After Akumi went into the box she saw Yomi, and her brother first. Akumi was 5'3.5'' she was quite short compared to her other half. "Hello, I'm Yumoto Akumi, Head Jounin." Akumi stated, she hadn't met half of the people in this booth, so the best idea was to introduce herself before going any further in.

Akumi then smiled and walked up to her brother first. "Heya, Brother." She stated she then turned to her other path, a male about 5'11'' tall, he looked like an Uchiha by definition. "I was able to get my first path from the Hospital. I can use these extra pairs of eyes to watch the rounds better." She stated, she then took a seat while her other body looked over the rails. He had the folders in his hands, and after claiming his spot, he opened up the files and looked through them to see who was participating. Akumi assumed Tama already knew of her new title, after all, he was a Sennin and worked right under the Hokage.

Akumi looked at the white-haired woman, she was very enthusiastic, one of the other guys was probably more hyped than the white-haired woman, and in the corner was a guy drinking it up. Were these the other branch leaders? "I've tutored Shinzo, I like him. I also like Suyashi, he seems like a challenge." Akumi commented truthfully. "I can't wait to see what the other students have to offer." She stated, she did keep in mind that Miyako wanted akumi as her mentor, but Akumi didn't know much about the girl, other than what was in her file. She'd get the see her real personality on the battlefield today. She'd also see other students she had yet to meet as well.

Akumi wanted to cheer, but she did so silently. She wasn't sure how to act in front of her new colleagues. For the most part, at least they were very enthusiastic, well Yomi seemed like she should be in bed instead of here, but that wasn't anything Akumi could comment on.

The female awoke and rolled over feeling an absence that was there before, she looked over to his side of the bed and found it empty, her hand searched for his in the morning haze that clouded her vision. She had come to get used to this however he was home so why wasn’t here. Then the realisation hit her like a steam train.

"Damn it! The Student Tournament!"

Yuki shot out of bed and rushed to get ready, she was lucky that she only had one formal look so that is what she decided she was going for. She jumped around the room trying her hardest the reached down her back to grab as the zipper of the dressed, for an outsider looking in all they would be able to hear through the paper-thin walls was swearing from the Haku that lay within. Finally managing to fasten the outfit she slipped on her shoes quickly checking herself in the mirror to make sure she was at least semi-presentable before leaving. “I am going to kill him for not waking me up!” The female muttered as she rushed out of the room and down the Manson’s corridors shooing away the aids that frantically tried to help her left and right.

Yuki was lucky that she knew most of the shortcuts in the village and quite easily navigate her way to the stadium, however, she would normally not have to navigate them in heels which at this point were becoming a burden. It wasn’t long before she could hear the rounds of applause, she could only assume that it meant that the tournament had started, lucky she wasn’t too late. Standing guard at the entrance of the Stand was six ANBU decked out in the usual fair.
“Let me in I am late already” She spoke in a tone that made it clear she wasn’t in the mood to deal with pleasantries or chit-chat. The guards just looked at her, it was a mixture of confusion and familiarity “It’s me your Captain now let me in.” The group parted and allowed her entrance she could hear that whispered chatter behind her as she ascended the stairs.

Once at the top Yuki saw that she was indeed one of the last people to arrive, Mikasa was there representing the Medical Branch and Kenshin and Akumi, the women that she had arrested at the gate sat for the main. In the middle of them, was Yomi seated on large chair bearing the seal of her newly acquired office with the ever-loyal Tamashii close by. Takeshi sat at her left and beside him was an empty seat that she was sure was hers.

“I apologize Lady Yomi and estimated guest for my tardiness, there was last minute business that I needed to attend to,” She bowed and then shot a glare at Takeshi who she could see had decided to start early today tucking into a glass of whiskey. She shuffled along the row and took a seat next to him punching him lightly in the leg for letting her oversleep. “I can see that Juko has already started” She spoke quietly to Takeshi, Juko was the one that she had her eye on, he had caught her attention in the class already and she saw good things in his future. “And look there is Maru, I have to say the day will be a success just to watch him get punched in the face a few times” She was still a little bitter at the boy for the lack of respect that he had shown her in her lesson. A waiter politely made his way over to her and ask if she would like a drink. "Wine please. Red" Yuki got herself comfortable to enjoy the spectacle below.

Takeshi turned his head to Yuki as he had to double take, he had never seen Yuki looking the way she did, it was a pleasant surprise at that moment in time as she took a seat beside her. Takeshi allowed himself to scan around looking at the faces that he knew and those that he didn’t know. He allowed himself to snort slightly as he let his eyes fall upon Akumi. Though he shrugged it off straight away as he held his hand up and allowed his glass to be filled back up.

“It’s good to see so many of us turned out for this tournament. It has been a long time since we have all gathered, a lot has changed in that time”

Takeshi turned to Tamashii as he allowed himself to nod towards the new Sennin, it was clear that he was aware of the situation at that moment in time. Pondering on what to reply he allowed himself to speak between the man that had entered.

“I have indeed gotten stronger; a lot has changed in the year I was away it would seem. Though some come back I still need to find Baba. But rest assured I have closed the net, you will be with your family soon Tamashii.”

Takeshi didn’t speak much after that point, with new people coming in and going it seemed that everyone was talking Yomi arrived in her seat as he looked to her at that moment in time. Leaning in so it was only audible between the two of them.

“You look like you could have some food, shall I get something for you. Maybe it would do you some good Lady Hokage”

Moving away it was soon he was handed a file as he took it and nodded he allowed himself to open the pages once more before taking a drink of the whiskey that he was given. He looked over the notes of the person that had been brought to his attention. It seemed that the potential for the branch was truly quite large. Yozora had a very good file in this situation, they knew full well that it would be a hard choice.

“Thank you Mikasa I appreciate the heads up on this.”

As he turned once more he was told about looking towards Juko for joining the branch as well, maybe he wouldn’t have to look to far for someone to recruit into the branch with all this talk, but something came to the back of his head as he knew full well he couldn’t stay silent about one thing. Knowing full well that he needed to show support to Yomi publicly and the gathering was of course the perfect time to show that.

“Welcome home Akumi, with you looking to improve the main branch we should see some great changes soon.”

He went back to focusing on the fights though he had to keep his eye out on those that had been advised his last words on this matter would be to everyone. Wondering a question and deciding to put it direct to them instead of avoiding it. Taking a sip again from the glass he looked around.

“So who else is everyone looking at here for being interesting, I been gone a long time I don’t know any of these new students”

Kenshin would see others join and introduce themsleves. Eve as he watched Yaboi pull off some sneaky manuers, he greeted him after Takeshi did.

"Hello there. Name is Yuu Kenshin. I am Sennin and recently promoted Kage Guard to the Hokage. Where she goes, I go." Kenshin would watch from afar as Akihito and Yaboi both tried to use some fancy ninjutiu and both missed. Kenshin waved his double flags even harder.

"You were close! Come on students show us what you got!" Kenshin would bellow.

With a sudden realization, he forgot about what else he had. He pulled out a small scroll and from it summoned a small mountain of the flags he was holding.

"One or 2 for everyone!" He would exclaim and then give one to each person in attendance not accepting a no. He even gave the ANBU guard outside the door some and told him to spread it around but to the guards horror.

"You are right, It has been a long while since we were all together. Lot has changed since then but this is exactly what we need to raise the spirit of the village and see the future in action. Come on put your backs into it!" Kenshin would yell at the end of his sentence to make sure the students heard and continued his flag waving with renewed gusto.

Glancing about, the medical chief views an unknown kunoichi arrive, presenting herself as the main branch representative. Further peaking Mikasa's interest was the statement of being related to Tamashii, although the maiden felt a bit odd for not knowing who the olive eyed woman truly were. Lord Kenshin was swift to pass about miniature flags, the woman unable to resist takes a single, waving decoration at random intervals as to please her colleague - a thin grin appears on her features. "Akumi-san, pleasure to meet you. Tsukasa Mikasa, head of the medical branch." she pauses briefly, "Congratulations on your promotion, I hope you come to rely on Yuki-san and myself, as we will on you." she politely addresses, extending her single gloved hand outwards.

"Speaking of which.." she takes notice of the Haku's distaste for Dokuso Maru, truth to be told she couldn't blame the ANBU Captain. "My apologies, its a work in progress. He is quite the handful." Mikasa begins to explain, "I take full responsibility for his behavior, allow me to make it up to you some time, Yuki-san." she gives an apologetic smile. Tenderly her digits stream through platinum locks, tucking the loose strands behind the rear of her ear, contemplating on who truly were worth viewing. Pondering for a few more moments, the medical-nin aims her reply to Takeshi, "I am interested in the fight between Uchiha Ryo and Rakutsu Hayasa, both are quite similar - or so it seems." she leans forward in her chair, adjusting her eye-wear, "The underdog is far more intriguing to me though." she murmurs, wishing to remain unbiased towards Suyashi and Maru.

Growing weary of waving the decoration, Mikasa tucks the rod of the miniature flag behind her left ear for further decoration, "Akumi-san, you spoke of attaining your other through the hospital, correct? Would you mind elaborating?" she whispers, only audible for her the main branch head to hear. Unexpectedly the medical chief lurches forward to grasp a hold on the railing, the current clashing causing a stir within her and in turn Mikasa's azure eyes gleam excitedly. She coughs abruptly and returns to her chair, perhaps requiring a beverage after all.

Waving to Yomi he'd smile and nod, he seemed to zone out for a moment until the drnks were being passed around, "I'll take one as well...", nodding once more he'd watch the fights intently, Maru seemed to be getting in the slackers behind, Ryo had won his fight and Yaboi had one his as well. This would be quite interesting. The rain seemed to throw off things a bit but it was only drawn to a small space on the field. So it didnt matter all that much, but the rain and lightning did intrigue Tamashii a bit, 'Maybe he hasnt been completely slacking off... Heh. Prove me wrong boy...' looking to Akumi as she walked in with, a boy friend?! Tamashii would stand to his feet glaring at the boy for a moment before he would listen to Akumi,"...So he's... not your boyfriend?", Daddy Tama would shake his head as the rage within him closed allowing him not to have to open up the gates on this punk...

Nodding he would turn to Akumi, "...And I hear you've made some substantial changes since getting back. Even heading the branch?", nodding Tama bowed to her, she was becoming honorable, maybe he would be able to pass this position to her yet. Who knew, it would clear room for another to help out. Maybe there would be someone that would enjoy it. Who knew, it had yet to be seen so checking himself up he'd nod back to Akumi, "Congrats. I'm proud of you.", looking then to Tsukasa Mikasa waving a light gestured hand to the woman he'd set himself back down waiting for the action to heat up a bit more.

As Takeshi offered her some food, she politely declined, as she didn't think she was up for eating without violently vomiting over everyone in attendance. With the way Mikasa was scowling she almost thought that the Medical Chief was going to drag her out of the booth. She gave a small smile to Mikasa as she spoke.

"Mikasa-san please don't look at me that way." To be honest, Yomi should be dragged out of here, but, the student tournament was something she was expected to attend, all nausea aside. Behind her came Yuki who was busy apologizing for her late arrival. Yomi didn't mind in the least since she barely made it there herself.

"No worries, Yuki, it's perfectly fine."Adjusting her sunnies again, she leaned into her chair as she watched both the women walk away. This tournament made her think of the other tournament that they were supposed to be sending reps for. Whatever Umashi had in mind was lost on her and she now had to make this decision. Speaking to the ANBU Sennin she turned to face him.

"Takeshi, when this is over, we have to pick who we are sending to Tea Country for the other tournament." Yomi paused, unsure if Umashi had even mentioned this to him before he disappeared. "I'm sorry, did Umashi even mention this tournament to you?" The Hokage inquired. Takeshi had been gone for a long time and she couldn't recall if this came up between her husband and the Uchiha at all. The only reason she knew when she did was because as the Medical Sennin she was invited to her own meeting. She wasn't planning on having a full on discussion about it here, but, it was certainly a good time to get him to start mulling over who he would recommend to send or if he sought to be entered himself.

"If you didn't..surprise?"

He had made his way from the general spectators to the area where the village's heiarchy had gathered, sectioned off somewhere isolated from the general audience for what he understood was a good reason. Naturally Kouza was stopped by the Anbu who marked the difference between the point where one could freely roam and the point where only authorized individuals could continue and he did not try to go any further. While the Anbu guards undoubtedly recognized him as one of the participants, there was no special cases here and Kouza did not even attempt to make a case for such but instead stood there, silent and observant. His gaze was solely fixated upon the booth, watching the higher ups many of which he had never physically laid eyes on with the only exception to this being Mikasa who had been an instructor in a class that would forever have some hold on him. Turning his head slightly at the roaring of the crowd and the cheering for the matches, his eyes narrowed slightly catching a glimpse of Yoshi's routing of Doku, chalking it up to him finally taking things serious considering exactly what the homocidal kid had said about Masa. Mind you, Kouza himself took what was said as hard as Yoshi had but was far understanding that he could not do anything about it, though mentally he knew if Doku won then he would get a chance to correct the sentiments shown towards a woman who was as much his mother as any woman could have been with the exception of having not gave birth to him.

"I take it this village doesn't mind grooming their psycopaths.."

His voice was loud enough to hear from the seating the higher ups were position in, but could easily have been missed as well if one were preoccupied to heavily with watching the matches or sidetracked by other tasks. His gaze when speaking this had been solely locked onto the booth, his eyes not simply concentrated on one figure but watching them all with indifference. Surely they knew from the files that the boy who said this was somewhat unknown and average, having only taken a few basic class with basic grades. The only standout thing which would have been in his files was where he had been from, Kirigakure which was reduced to a mere snow globe.

"Killing sentiments...a child like that left unchecked is a problem though I doubt this is the first time he's shown this type of behavior. Is it..."

His voice was a little louder now, a tone that could be easily caught and a hand was quickly placed firmly on his shoulder by one of the anbu. The pressure on his arm was enough to let him know that he had been out of line and silence entered upon him like a shadow muffling a growing angst. His teeth ground slightly but he gave into the signal to calm down and would take a deep breath to recollect himself despite the rambling thoughts cascading through his mind at this time.

Mikasa, head of medical was the first one to introduce herself to Akumi, in which she showed a warm smile to her. Akumi did hope to come to rely on these people, she would have to either way. Akumi hesitated when it came to shaking hands, but when she saw the gloved hand, she went for it. "Its a pleasure to meet you." Akumi stated as she shook her hand. Maybe Akumi should start wearing gloves as well, to prevent herself from tasting whatever she touched. But it was just as uncomfortable to wear gloves, maybe it was something she'd just have to get used to?

Akumi took note her brother seemed to glare at her other body, she could see it was right at him since she could see out of those eyes just as well. Her Uchiha body took a look of surprise, as if, what the hell did he do wrong? look.

The next person she heard was Yuu Kenshin, the man she was going to challenge after this tournament was over, she would do it now... but he was really fired up for these matches. But it was good to put a face to the name, she didn't bother to look up his file, though it might not even be among her brother's collection. "Good to meet you as well, Kenshin." She stated, she seemed to always call her colleagues by their first name. She only hesitated to call the Hokage by their first name, she often changed up how she would address Yomi now. Akumi's thoughts were interrupted when two flags were handed to her, well both her bodies. Kenshin looked like he wouldn't take no so she took them. Her Uchiha side started swinging the flags back and forth.

After Takeshi, the anbu Sennin greeted her, Akumi nodded to him. She hoped to make good changes to this branch. It felt like it had been neglected for quite some time now. Her attention went to the field as she noticed with her Uchiha path, that Sayashi was starting to win, at least it looked like it. She didn't like how that other kid facing him acted though. "That Maru kid is dark, I'd keep a close eye on him." She stated, she had been there, she knew what darkness looked like. It might just be a phase, maybe this was the furthest he'd go, but who knew.

The other matches were going very well, most notable was Miyako's match seemed to not be going her way, though it was hard to tell what actually was going on down there. Ryo was doing very well, he had that round in the bag from the start. She hoped to recruit him, but who knew. Maybe he'd go into the Anbu with those skills. Hayasa forfeited, making Ryo win. He was going to win, either way, at least Hayasa wasn't being dragged out now.

Turning her attention back to Mikasa, she was asking exactly how Akumi got the body. She was whispering as if it was a secret. "John Doe, they were gonna cremate the body, so I did the paperwork to get it." She answered back in a whisper simply. She did it the legal way at least and had the paperwork to prove it.

Finally, Akumi looked at Tamashii and blinked. "Don't worry Dad He is not my boyfriend. Just another body." She stated, then she smirked. She kinda liked the 'protectiveness' that he was showing. She liked that he said he was proud even better. "Thanks, I hope to do the branch well." She stated simply.

Once Akumi was done addressing her brother she went back to watching the matches. Her other body was still watching them, occasionally waving the flags and cheering silently. A voice reached her attention, Akumi turned her head to the entrance to the booth. A boy was standing there. He said something about a child like that could be a problem? She had two set of ears, but that only made it hard to focus on one voice outside the box. With all the cheering, and screaming. But she got the jist of what he was saying, it seemed he didn't like the tournament or the idea of it. She took the liberty to stand and walk over to him.

"We will keep an eye on him, I haven't had long to watch over the student's behavior, so I don't know if he has acted like that before. This tournament isn't here to pin students against each other for fun, or to be sadistic, its to help you guys grow. This is a ninja world, you guys will face battles in the future, much more fierce battles. This is so you guys have the experience you will need to face those battles." She explained, with a warm smile, and sweet tone of voice. Though she didn't know if she chose the right words. She hoped she did. Taking a closer look at the boy, he was in the tournament as well, she didn't think it was a mandatory thing. "I don't know whats going on for you, but I wish you luck in your match." She stated with a warm tone of voice. She then poked the Anbu's hand to tell him to loosen up on the boy. After all, he was a child, true he was out of line, but she thought force would only make this fester into something darker.

Takeshi payed little attention to the words that were being spoken by people around him, though in all honestly it was little for him to focus on they seemed to want to talk to each other more than he cared for. He had only just returned home and right now he had more pressing matters on his mind that that of idol talk, though he knew that he was here to watch the fights and to do nothing more and nothing less than exactly that. As he turned his attention to listen to those that were talking he knew full well that everyone here had their eye on someone.

“Yuki anyone catching your eyes for this round?”

Takeshi looked around as he tried to watch the rounds that had been taking place. It seemed that a few people had caught the eye of the ANBU Sennin so far, he would simply take the sheet of paper out. Looking around he knew full well that he had to do some more work, as he allowed himself to tick the sheets that had been around for him. It was clear that he had made a few suggestions on who would be a good addition to the branch.

Takeshi allowed himself to drain the glass that he had in front of him as he enjoyed himself with a few drinks, it was good to be back home that much he had to admit. Though as he sipped the drink he wondered what the days of fights would have for him. Keeping himself closed off he would not tell anyone who was being looked at by the branch and keep his conversations short. It was not his place to speak at the moment and he wanted to keep himself to himself after the trip he had to sand. He had finally managed to meet someone that put everything back into perspective for him.

“Yuki, I think it’s fair for you to know that Kazuki is coming back to leaf soon. He is still alive and kicking, he will be coming as the ambassador for sand”

Takeshi allowed his hand to come up as he waited for the empty glass to be refiled for him and pondered how Yuki would take the news that her old teacher would be coming back as well. Its not every day that information was given out and there was still a lot of work to be done with this new peace treaty being forged so soon.

"We can select after this tournament I agree Lady Hoakge. We can work on that. Have you got any ideas already?"

Leaping from the viewing booth to interrupt the ending of the initial match.

Returning the viewing booth, Mikasa adjusts her attire and allows her frame to sink against the comfortable chairs brought for this special occasion. Daintily the kunoichi crosses her left leg over the opposing, turning her attentions towards Nokugara Kouza, a student she had the pleasure of teaching prior to the tournament. "We do not condone such behavior, which is why it will be dealt with accordingly." she smiles sweetly, although her gaze foretells of another tale entirely, un-amusement towards the behavior of Dokuso Maru. "I hope that addresses any concerns you have Kouza-kun and I wish you luck in your round. I'll be watching it carefully." she returns to face forward, arms crossing.

The words Akumi spoke certainly left her with a bit to ponder upon, while it wasn't an issue to remove a corpse from the medical ward, a John Doe, she wishes to investigate the authorization; at a later point in time. Not wishing to foul the lively mood of the crowd of superiors, Mikasa removes the miniature flag Kenshin provided earlier, waving the object gingerly as the fights continue on. If spoken to, the maiden would respond, however currently she wishes to ensure that there would be no other shenanigans in the tournament - hence her current positioning was closet to the railing.

At the very least Suyashi and Maru placed on a show, as it appeared many of the students were beginning to do. This generation was far more interesting than previous, in her mind, and would certainly produce quite an array of potential candidates to join the branches to raise the generation to come next. This thought places her mind at ease for the time being, pondering in the back of her mind of the conversation she overheard with Tea Country and the arrival of a Suna ambassador.

Kenshin was beside himself. While everyone was talking about things not related to what was going on in front of him, Kenshin would be watching each fight carefully and cheering loudly. His flag arms never seemed to stop moving. Moat of the fights were finished and Kenshin took a lull in the fighting to brag something he normally doesn't do.

"Well look at that two of my students are moving on to the next round! One has yet to fight but it should be a good one! I knew there was something awesome about them when they signed up for my class." Kenshin would boast loudly.

He would make sure everyone still had their flag and then turn around to see the final set of opponents fight. This was going to be amazing.

He listened to those who had some input on what he had to say, their words entering the pool of context within his mind to fester and linger. Undoubtedly their explainations and reassurances would be taken on face value but Kouza did not have the facial expression of a child who was all to sold on their promises. His gaze would be distracted by the grounds sudden uproar as the other ongoing match had concluded with the young kunoichi surrendering to her opponent. His teeth would grit once more, a tick he had when his thoughts smashed together in one sphere of dominating ideals and it was only once he heard his name over the speaker system did his body become deathly calm. Giving the representatives one last gaze and without returning a word to them, Kouza would turn to leave. It was obvious he was going to leave considering his match was up.

Yomi heard the exclamations of what could only be described as a disgruntled spectator. As she moved to address it Mikasa had swooped in and made her commentary. It was about Maru to be sure. She had her own thoughts and feelings about Maru, but, she wouldn't expect spectators to understand her point of view, nor did she feel the need to explain herself. What was new about that, though? Satisfied that it was handled by the Medical Chief she looked back to Takeshi and nodded.

"Maybe I'll send you. All that time in Suna, I'm sure you learned something." Yomi smirked, but, truthfully she had no idea who she was going to send. Her focus was Umashi, Takeshi, and Baba, in that order. So far, only one of things had been resolved. Once the remaining issues were taken care of, she could think about something as inconsequential as a world martial arts tournament.

"Honestly, I have no idea. We'll discuss it more soon enough though."

Twirling the little flags that Kenshin handed out she shifted in her seat. It was nice to see everyone gathered and enjoying themselves for an event. She was glad everyone was able to have this moment of reprieve. Quietly she took in the matches feeling uncomfortable. This was the most normal and calm thing that had happened in the village since Umashi had disappeared. Nothing, so far, about her stint as Hokage was calm or normal but yet, here she was doing something normal. She didn't know how she was supposed to act, so Yomi just tried to become one with her chair as the matches progressed.
