Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

His gaze tracked the flare as it shot from the sandstorm within the barrier, a coy little smirk forming against his lips as he'd begun to see the students evolve a sense for their situation. With his palms interlocked at the fingers, his body remained sitting on the edge of the earth rampart as his sight once again glued itself to the storm. He couldn't see them visually but he could feel their very movements as if he himself were one with the earth they stood upon. He'd notice them grouped up, no doubt understanding that this was not a test of solo ability but their combined efforts as a group. For himself and himself only to hear there would be a personal chuckle about it all.

"Rocky edges but still sharp potential.."

He'd adjust his fingers, forming a simple hand seal which adjusted the composition of the earth in one spot and one spot only. The thinly dig out "X" marking originally struck by the young Uchiha and backed up by Sara would lose pieces of rock that fell from the edges of the marking as cracks, though few formed. Though all this was not something normal sight could see except to those who possessed some form of augmented vision or doujutsu. What caught his attention the most however was a newcomer scanning the outskirts of the wall, something that made his eyebrow peak as he initially wondered just who it was when the flare jogged his memory. His eye's widened at first before understanding the full nature of the situation.

"More polished than I thought..."

He would leave the reinforcement alone to discover that a section of the outside wall had shown signs of chipping and even a minute crack edging away from a center point. It was evident that the weak point had been created through continued attacks on one focal spot alone.

"For the most part that is correct?"The two before her seemed to be bickering to a degree, the boy feeling a need to control the situation, the girl upset at him for being domineering, and possibly trying to show him up? Perhaps they were interested in one another? Sara looked at the boy. Maybe it was that bad boy style? It wasn't her cup of tea but, meh maybe...The girl on the other hand seemed interesting for one reason or another, but still had that same style or feeling about her as he. Would she be this way in a short time?

Sara shook her head and refocused on the situation sometime after the girl spoke about what she figured were the others abilities. Then a thought popped into her head. 'Shit...I might be the highest ranked person here? Maybe I should reign the ropes a little then.' "We are over thinking this. What, erm. I mean how you were going about it before was fine. This is a rather strong earth jutsu so it should hold against a few shots." Sara looked around and saw a portion of the wall she pressed upon crumble rather then hold it's shape. The girl, um her name unknown to her, something like Umi? That was all she had heard before when she was speaking about something with the boy not saying her name. Umi made a smart suggestion, the need to remove the storm as a problem. Sara thought about what jutsu she might have that could do something about it when they heard a voice from beyond the wall speak. The voice was muffled but not enough to make out a few of the words. Umi responded, asking if the girl saw any weak points in the wall. They couldn't see it, this storm did need to go if they were to continue.

Sara started weaving handseals and upon finishing,"Wind Release"she called out, then breathed deeply in and slowly out. A gust of wind swept around everyone in the dome. The wind howled, the coarse sand rubbing angerly around any bare skin. She cringed at the pain, thinking 'it will end soon. Any moment the sand will find the only openings possible and rush from it most certainly.' Soon they would be freed of the sand that was blocking their views of the domes shell.

The young girl pointed to where she had struck the wall, pointing with an electrical current riding along her arm and then into the nothingness of space. "The wall is already cracked some over there. With a few more strikes it should come down. Remember, it doesn't need to be a single strike."

Megumi’s educated guesses were on the money, as the lavender haired girl affirmed her guess. The girl seemed to be lost in thought, or maybe she was trying to size up Sora and herself. The little girl would grab her attention back into reality by giving herself a shake. Looking focused and ready to take charge of the situation. However her speech was not very confident and she stumbled over her words. Even if her speech was not very motivating or inspirational, Megumi understood what she meant and thaked the heavens for another reasonable person. Megumi would nood at the girl, “ I get what you're saying. Nothing lasts forever and great chasms and rivers were formed by erosion and metal rusts and decays over time and by use and poor treatment”.

The smaller girl would weave a hand sign and speak to cast aside the storm. As the storm died down, the master of the storm pointed in the direction of where she struck the wall. As far as Megumi could tell it looked to be the weakest point in the wall. Thinking about where Sora struck she looked over to see an x shaped gash in the wall. Thinking back on the pirate woman and how their was an x made her laugh on the inside at the irony of her surroundings. The Sora man x looked like a perfect point to start, however the lavender girl’s mark looked as it had made a bigger impact on the wall’s integrity. The small girl would speak out as she reminded everyone that it did not have to be a single strike. Looking at the girl with a look that said she was thinking the same thing. “ That’s true however we have to becareful of what we do as are environment is against us. If we use to much force it could back if and do more harm than good”.

Looking back to the chipped wall Megumi would raise her finger up to till everyone that she need some time. “ Let me try a controlled test before we go at it all at once”. Taking a chakra bomb out she would charge it for about a half meter thick wall. I was her guess to how thick it might be from her previous inspection. She would take into account that the wall is also heated from the current running through it making it less structurally sound. Handing the set charge off to her defensive puppet, she would use it to muffle to concussive force that would spread in their direction. Putting the rest of her puppets in front of her and the group, Megumi would cover her ears. “ I would cover your ears and brace for impact if i were you”. As she kneeled down behind one of her puppets the blast would go off with a deafen impact utterly destroying her puppet that muffled the rebonding force. Looking up at the wall Megumi would wait for the smoke to clear before celebrating. Looking over to her trashed puppet she clicked her tongue in disappointment.

Megumi was such a dumbass, though he didn't want to further anger her since she'd end up just getting in the way. Hell she said wind would put out fire. This showed she didn't even know about basic chakra natures. Fire was Superior to wind, meaning it's only make fire stronger. He figured Megumi didn't have any strong Fire style techniques and his likely wasn't the strongest either, only being D rank, but it would be proficient if multiple blows hit a weak spot. They were already running out of time and if this was a real mission, it'd be a failure. He had hoped a two front attack on the outside and inside would be enough, but it'd be more assuring if the normal looking girl would help out with some strong lightning Jutsu to follow up. So, with a few handseals that were well practice, he inhaled then raised his right hand, making a circle, the blew out into it. Out shot a large ball of Incinerating flames at the X on the wall. After a moment, it'd create an explosion. With the two from attack it'd do plenty of damage to the weak spot, and hopefully set them free.

The Pirate Tomo made note to the location of the weaken point now revealed to them thanks to their higher ranked friend, who suggested that they could take down the wall with a few more shots. The puppeteer gives it a go by setting an explosion at the wall, but it unfortunately utterly destroyed her little contraption. Meanwhile Tomo goes and pokes the bird, “Okay you. Time to go to work.”
430
The parrot awakes and flies into the air once more. This was no average bird, but a summoned creation of Tomo. It was a projectile weapon with the effects of a gaia seal imbued into it. With a snap off Tomo’s finger the parrot transforms into a much more humanlike form. This was Tomo’s steal dragon jutsu and it made her parrot into a harpy. Pointing at the weak spot the monster attacks. It slashes at the walls with its might talons with verbosity. It did not care about the electric current and continues it attack regardless.

Meanwhile on the outside of the walk Ino. Ino could hear people inside, but could not understand a word they were saying, then there was an explosion. Seems they were doing their best to get themselves out, so she was going to do her part. Ino does a dynamic entry and punches the wall with all her might. However the wall was still electrified and it ended up killing the clone. With the clone dead all the memories it possessed entered Tomo. Tomo could instantly recall the boring lecture on the history of Kanoha.

His body motioned away from the ramparts as the combined efforts of the group had finally breached the barrier's structure, symbolized by the audible and visual cracking. Appearing upon the ground with both palm's resting within his pockets, he'd go over everything he had seen and heard since the class first began, finding their general participation to be coined as satisfactory. It was not a perfect score but they were children and novices so his expectations were relatively lowered to just above their ability, to see if they could as a collective rise to the occasion. Being freed, the group would have to navigate the pile of earthen rubble which was mixed with metal ore to gather once more where he would give them an assessment.

"Overall, not to shabby but far from satisfactory. The amount of time it took to get all your cards in order and work as a team took to long, out in the real world you'd undoubtedly be tallying a casualty or more. Being mere students however the bar is not so high that your eventual grasp of your situation and how you handled it wouldn't put you over the mark so for that reason I guess you pass."

He'd place a cigarette up to his lips and light it quickly, enjoying the sensation. Before dismissing the class..

"You should learn more about your fellow students, understanding those who will have your back and vice Vera's should be a priority. If you plan on becoming a shinobi then you better start developing those bonds else it'll be a lonely path to travel. You are all dismissed"

She watched as everyone took their turn in attacking the barrier one after the other. To her dismay, they still hadn't brought it down. Even given a few of the unique attacks made. That parrot into a humanoid creature, and it had a very odd signature to it that she wasn't familiar with. Well, not entirely. It was reminiscent of a jutsu or two she knew, but much much stronger. But still not strong enough.

The thoughts floated for a moment, pushing against each other, swaying her pattern. The young girl knew she could have ended this jutsu some time ago. A single move would have been enough. But it didn't seem right to take the attempts of the students here away from them. Still though, the wall held true. Should she use one of her stronger jutsu and be done with it? Would that be the right thing to do? Hell she could have gone with overkill at the moment, used a elemental Perfected Rasengan and obliterate the wall. Would that inspire them, or just take their victory away? How would she have felt if something like that would have happened during her time at the academy?

Sara walked towards the wall, the lightning around her arced from her torso and traveled to her arm before disappointing into the air. Anger, that is what she would have felt. Respect sure, maybe even an urge to improve, but anger most of all. Especially given other circumstances present. They didn't know of her rank, or her capabilities. Not really. Even that wind ninjutsu she used wasn't beyond the capabilities of some here, the bird girl especially. It didn't feel right to take there victory..

The young girl held her hand up and concentrated, slowly moving her hands. The lightning that surrounded her sparked around her hands as she gently moved them about. The chakra she was expelling was less then what she was regaining over the time she was releasing each strike. Her pointer and middle finger would flow through the air, a trail of lightning crackling as they moved. The air behind her grew electric, the static making popping sounds as bolts would form in the air behind her, and travel along her body to her arms and then condense on her finger tips and a senbon size bolt of lightning would appear between her fingers as she would release it and it would fly out and stick into the wall, expelling lightning sporadically. Each strike growing in power. Every time she added a new senbon to the wall, the lightning would arc between them.

This wasn't a technique any here would know of, or learn. It was a technique she picked up as she practice on her control of chakra, eventually learning to condense it and practically creating a psychical object. It was a technique closely related to her eight trigrams strike, but ranged and meant as a more lethal attack. Sara would even twirl a bolt or two in her fingers as she released it in a different manner then the last. Even the keenest of eyes would miss it just being made of chakra. She didn't want it to appear as if the strikes were anything special.

"The holes are getting bigger, just a little more!" Another senbon hit the wall as she finished her words. The boy releasing his fireball technique just after.

The wall came crumbling down, laxing on her chakra concentration as the senbon she created became buried in the rumble and would vanish into nothingness. As the dust settled, their instructor would appear with words of dissatisfaction for the most part. The start was certainly slow but when they started to move, they managed well enough. At least she thought so.

As the smoke cleared from his Jutsu, it was obvious to all that the wall was down. Sora however strutted into the smoke before it cleared out since he already knew it was down. His sharingan disappeared and in its place were his coal colored eyes. Being disappointed in himself would be an understatement, but it wasn't as if he showed it. By this point all he had on his mind was more training.

The Uchiha paid no attention to the rest of the class as he walked out into the sunlight. It was actually a rather nice day. Sunny with a nice breeze. Perfect day to get in some more training, so instead of going home like most, he went off somewhere else to further his training.

There was definitely something off about this class. Putting away her puppets and leaving the prison she walked out of the hole wall and hearing the advice given by the sensei. It was true they would no doubt be captured or more likely dead by their performance. She understood the purpose of the class and tried to get everyone to coperate, even if some were more willing to work together than others. It would ultimately her fault for not being a strong enough leader to be able to quickly gather her fellow ninja and complete the challenge laid before them.

Though this entire class had an old feel to it. A much women than herself took part in it and had some interesting abilities. Not only that but the youngest of the class that spoke out and seemed to be childish and true to her age possessed a skill level that was insane for a student. With her ability she should be on her way to becoming a chuunin or even a jonin, something was off about this entire class.

Sensei did say to get to know her students more. Sora had already left looking about as perplexed and annoyed with himself as she was. The older women seemed to be more interested in the Sensei than to hang over with a bunch of kids. Megumi would walk up to the younger lavender hair girl and give a smile friendly smile. “ Thanks for your help i don’t think we would of done it without you. My name is Tanigawa Megumi”. Giving the girl a slight bow as she introduced herself. While they were working together to complete the class she did guess a few of her abilities but the monster of a girl no doubt held more secrets. “ You seemed interested in my work while we were in class”. Megumi would raise and lower her arm turning it to show off her work. “ Now that we have some free time i can answer some of your questions, and maybe you can tell me how taught you as i definitely want some lessons”. Looking at the girl with her full attention ready to answer to the best of her ability without revealing her family's secrets.

The wall was done and they were finally free, through all the rumble of metal and earth scattered around them is going to make a maze getting out of here. She sure was glad she is not the one in charge of grounds keeping. Whoever is the person that keeps the training ground neat and organized, must be a saint. It must take quite a person to repair damage like this every day so tomorrow it can be used again.

Hakuren was just a little disappointed with how the class turned out. It did not feel like she learned anything really, except that her chakra affinity was wind. Though she never did find out what exactly chakra was in the first place. She was just place in a sticky situation that she needed to get out of. Personally she thinks she could have done that herself. She could not help to but somewhat regret holding back. Hell with the spells she knows completely obliterating this wall would be no problem, but she thought the teacher was going to use it as a teaching tool or something. She guesses physical challenges are just part of the shinobi curriculum and she will just need to get used to it. "As much as I would love to say and chat, I needing to be setting sail. It was fine meeting all of you" With those few words she leaves the training group with the harpy looking creature following not too much behind her.

The comradery was overwhelming. Sara watched as each exited the ruble, taking notes in an attempt to remember those she..met that day? Met seemed like too strong a word. Almost about as quickly as they came together, everyone was going there separate ways. She did notice something interesting about each.

The pirates ability was remarkable. Something involving a seal and as far as she could tell, a living creature. Maybe an experimental subject? In her field it was all the rage to experiment on animals first. It just didn't seem right though to do such. But to have a skill that could completely reconfigure a small creature into something that size, she had more skills most certainly then she showed.

Then the boy. She focused on his eyes, seeing how he focused his chakra to them. He was using his chakra similar to how she did, but to a lesser extent. Perhaps he was somehow related to her? There were very few she noticed whom utilized chakra in such a manner. She wanted to talk to him as well but before she could he left the training grounds without a word.

Even the instructor had left the grounds as soon as he finished speaking. A swell of sadness overtook her. This didn't turn into such a great class to attend after all. Well, at least one person took the instructor's words to heart. Sara watched as the last girl, the one with the interesting arm made her way over and actually spoke directly. She introduced herself as Megumi Tanigawa, and was being very polite towards her. 'Obviously I revealed to much today. Well, we are all friends here right!' "My name is Sara." She spoke with glee, and held her hand to the back of her head, bashful for the bow given to her and praises. 'Leaf is very different from Stone.' "Thank you too! We all managed pretty well I think!"

Megumi showed her the mysterious appendage that had no life within. Sara had never seen a technique that could control an object with such accuracy. "What type of jutsu do you use to control it? Those strings?", Sara pointed to them running along her arm. She also used the same jutsu to control that puppet prior. She could see the usefulness of such, but something didn't sit right with such a thought.

Though, of course that brought up a different matter with the girl. After she would answer the jutsu question, Megumi bring up some questions about herself. This conversation was going to grow dark she felt, but.. "For the most part, self trained. You had guessed right before about me having medical skills. That was my original track. I was just like you guys going through the academy. Then..." Her visage turned bleak looking, "Well that was when Iwagakure was almost destroyed. Then I spent what was apparently a little over two years on a mission in the hellish hole of Kirigakure. It was...adapt or..um...ya." She shook her the thoughts loose and tried to smile a little, a little creepily of a smile, "Lets say...a lot happened" Sara shuttered a little at thinking back at some of the things. Then muttered, "At least the little I can remember." Sara shook it off again, becoming a little more usual for herself, "But it wasn't all bad I think. I made a few friends, and now I hope to make more. How about you." Sara smiled prior to the end. She pointed to Megumi's arm, How did that come about?

After breaking the ice with the tiny powerhouse, she introduced herself as Sara with fervor and a bow. Thanking her for the compliment, even if it was just Megumi stating facts. Sara would go on to say that they all did pretty well. Thinking about how the class went about, shrugging as she looked at one of the biggest surprises of the class. “ Some of us more than others”.

Sara would be drawn to Megumi prosthetic limb, almost like a moth to a flame. Asking what kind of jutsu it was, Megumi would give a simple explanation. “ Not a jutsu per say, think of it like chakra molding like how one would make a scalpel out of chakra to give you an idea”. Creating string from her fingertips, Megumi would weave them around and bind them together. “ It’s hard to explain for me as i have always been good at it, it just seems natural”. Cutting her strings off the would float away and dissipate.

Sara would talk about her history and what had happened to her. It reminded her a lot of what she went through, and could see where she was coming from. However the fact that she was mostly self taught was amazing. Sara would ask her about her experiences and where her mistake that cling to her arm came from. Thinking about the past and all of the death and the hatred she felt for the daimyo and the samurai. Megumi’s prosthetic arm would tighten and whine under the pressure she was putting it under. Looking at Sara and calming her almost madding rage, “ That’s just say a lot has happen, thinking about the past will not change anything”. Holding up her arm and pointing to it with a joking tone. “ Don’t worry this was self inflicted, i was working on a personal project and i got cocky. Only one to blame is myself, don’t worry though it does not hurt and it makes a great tool for conversation”. Putting her arm down, she was not will to share her invention with the world just yet.

Looking at her with a small smile. “So besides constantly working towards becoming obedient and a ruthless killer i do have hobbies. Mainly building and perfecting my craft, but i guess that still coincides with my work”. Her eyes would dart away slowly and she really did not do anything besides that. Thinking about the stuff she had put aside ever since she had been focusing on becoming a ninja. Snapping her finger, “ I used to play instruments, sing and dance. It was mainly do to being brought up in a traditional family, but i used to enjoy performing for my parents”. Megumi’s somewhat euthanized tone dropped when she mentioned her parents. She wanted to curse the teacher for suggesting to get to know her peers better, she was terrible with people.

"I don't know if I can be a ruthless killer... I..." she spoke under breath. A saddened expression crossed the small girls face as she tried to search for a response that seemed appropriate.

Cheering up she decided to change the topic to what the girl said as she spoke under breath," I mean, did you say you like sing and dance? I never tried playing an instrument before. Heard it was hard?" A much more livelier topic. "I don't get a chance to do those things that much either, having to study medical things and such back in Iwagakure." She learned her lesson about using medical jargon in the past! A no go. "That and general training, my free time was random usually. I have a decent amount of free time now a days and hopefully when I graduate from my Medical in Training to Medinin I can free up some more time to do such. If you ever want to have some fun, I am usually around here or there! Sing, go dancing, if you need help training maybe?"

Sara’s interested spiked again with Megumi mentioned that she was skilled in the entertainment arts. Being barraged with questions by the excitable younger girl, as it seems she can’t control herself when she hears something that interests her. Listening to the girl and her questions, Megumi chuckled at her comment about the girl not having enough free time to do such a thing.

As the young girl finished her rapid firing of questions and comments, she did seem interested in hearing her play. “ It’s like anything with enough practise you’ll get better at it. Maybe my family and i are to traditional for the world now, as i had to learn how to be a great puppeteer and a good spouse as well”. Thinking about how she hated the endless lessons about etiquette, cooking and her performance lessons on top of her learning to be a ninja on top of it. She remembered how much she hated being cooped up in her house all day learning to be a Tanigawa.

Understanding Sara on how their fields keep them busy and disallow them from simply doing what they wanted. However she wanted to have fun and enjoy herself to, it’s understandable as Megumi felt the same. Smiling at Sara, “ Since you seem so interested in seeing my performance, and we both work hard for are careers. How could i say no to such a request”. Megumi would form a charka string and pluck it sending an interesting and lovely sound, that was unknown from the basic string instruments. Dispersing the string, “ That was a preview of what is to come”. Giggling, she would wave to Sara and start walking home. “ Later, maybe next time we meet i’ll provide some entertainment for you”.

Life was very different from Iwagakure. Spouse relationships, that wasn't even a subject to be defined. It was a common understanding that dealing with an Iwagakurian was like playing with a tiger. Just looking the wrong way could lead to disaster. The only reason they were nice to someone they didn't know was money, chain of command, or common cause. Sara wasn't an Iwagakurian, but being trained as a shinobi at there school kept certain lessons from being learned. Of course she was a medic so a bedside manner was attained, and her family living in the city above Iwagakure did place a more placid and pleasant disposition, but she had that roughness to her too. Acting like a lady was only to a certain extent, but men and women were equal enough there, and that is how she thought it was meant to be. "Good spouse? Defending the home?" That pretty much summed it up to her. "Two birds one stone huh? We were taught similar back in Iwagakure, but it was more of a passive lesson."

The girl seemed to understand and wanted to be friends. Megumi agreed to maybe do something at some point in the future then pulled out the string that she used to control her arm and the puppet from before and created an unusual sound from it. They laughed together and then the girl said her good byes. She hopped they would meet up again sometime soon. Sara hadn't very many friends in this new country.
