Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was one of those all too common misty days in the slums of Cronopolis but that didn't stop the people from going about their business as usual. What the mist did accomplish in doing though was hiding less than lawful activities that would have been stopped by the Cloud ninja patrolling the area. One such activity was an illegal fight club hosted by local gangs in order to find the strongest which of course attracted a certain individual.

The fight club itself was situated in an abandoned lot hidden between two roughly built houses that looked like a small breeze would knock both over and in the middle of the lot was a rusted fenced off circle surrounded by bleachers that were currently full up with the cheering inhabitants of the local area. The reason they were cheering was for the man inside the fenced area who had just knocked down a young upstart who had barged her way in and challenged their champion. This person was surprisingly a young blonde girl who couldn't be more than eleven years old. Said eleven year old was covered in bruises and even bleeding from a ton of small cuts around her short frame but despite her injuries she still stood tall with a wide grin spread across her face. Breathing heavily the girl began to chuckle that soon became a full blown laugh as her much older opponent looked on with a disturbed expression. "Haha your pretty good! You busted me right up and all I can think at the moment is how awesome this is. Haha!" The brash tone of the young girl drifted across the make shift arena as her opponent said nothing but his expression did turn into one of disgust as she jumped forward and attempted yet another unsuccessful attack. The man much older, more experienced and unhurt quickly backhanded her into the floor and as her consciousness began to fade the last thing she heard was the champion muttering "Barbarian" Under his breath before everything faded to black.

Consciousness drifted back a few hours later causing Karasuba's smile to return as she slowly sat up but that smile turned to a frown as she found the ring empty. "Tch no rematch I guess." She muttered in a bored tone as she looked up at the now blue sky since the mist had shifted enough for a small glance up at the for now cloudless heavens. "Hehe he got me good though so I can't complain about that fight......It sure was fun" The last part was said wistfully as she ignored her still bleeding wounds while looking up at the sky.

Indeed illegal activities would attract a certain type of individual, and Kazu wasn't one to volunteer himself for the top of that list but he could use some extra money so he figured he may as well place a few bets on the ring fighting. Upon arrival at the scene he saw all the men and how they had that look about them; a look like they were all born in a steelmill on the east coast of Buffville on WeightLifter's alley. Kazu was a shinobi however, meaning he had nothing to fear and if worse came to worst he could always use that to sound stronger than he was, even if he was only a student. The commencing battle had caught his attention and as he stepped close to the outside of the fence he shuddered to think what poor soul would go up against the champion; a man who looked like he ate iron bolts for breakfast. In an instant he knew who he was going to bet on, definitely the champion but what he saw next made colour drain from his face...

A little girl stood up to face the challenger, "No....." he sighed under his breath, not knowing if he could even bare to witness the imminent mayhem. Kazu watched as the girl was beaten and busted, finally landing on the ground and giving her opponent some lip.
'She's a little girl but....she's scary,' he silently thought, scratching the back of his neck.
When the fight was coming to an end he hid. Having lost his money, he had no intention of actually giving it over so he found a place to cover his position until everyone had cleared off.
It wasn't long before the ring was deserted but the girl still remained. Kazu scrambled to stand and approached her after climbing off the fence and falling flat on his face,
"Hey, that was pretty insane....Do you....do you need anything?" He didn't mean to ask in the creepiest or most awkward way possible but he tried to help. Oddly enough, she did look pretty lax for someone who just got their arse kicked to next Tuesday. The young shinobi remained beside her and watched her expression, occasionally switching his own gaze from her, to the sky, and the surrounding area.

The burn of tired muscles, the throb of open wounds and the ache of broken bones was what Karasuba felt as she laid out in the field and to the young girl the feeling was ecstasy of indescribable magnitudes but like everything her bless had to come to an end as she heard the sound of a retard face planting. Turning her head Karasuba noticed a young boy most likely a few years older picking himself up before walking over and asking if she needed anything.

The young blonde allowed her eyes to slowly roam over the boy before sighing in annoyance as she slowly climbed to her feet though she did favour her left side which meant she might have fractured a rib in that fight. "Like I need anything from some overgrown monkey." Karasuba spoke in a dismissive tone even though the boy was older, taller and most likely stronger than her but no one ever said the little blonde had people skills which was further emphasised as she stepped right up to the dark haired youth and seemingly sized him up for a moment before tilting her head back to look up at the once again misty sky. "But on the other hand." Karasuba muttered to herself before she swiftly attempted to plant her head into Kazu's gut which if successful would most likely force the young boy to bend forward and slam his forehead into Karasuba's which was her intention since she wanted to stare into this boys eyes to make her point while not caring one bit that she was smearing his face with her blood. "Maybe you could help me......You see I haven't had enough fun yet." As she spoke Karasuba eyes light up with all her battle lust making them almost shine with a predatory glint.

She was young but even he had to admit that she was rather menacing up close; she had this way about her that made her seem.....a little cuckoo. The accompanying breeze was quite relaxing however and diffused the tension of the staring and the standing. The insult hit him less like a brick wall and more like a soft cussion, "Well..." he said backhandedly, under his breath. Suddenly, she swooped forth to physically engage him, he flinched and jumped back, avoiding the nasty headbutt to his chest, "Woah....I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself, girly," he said, punctuating his sentence with a raised eyebrow.

Kazu had to admit that he had never been in a situation where he had felt more awkward than right now and he was clearly at a lost for words that sounded intelligent.
"Look, I think you're getting the wrong idea.....Do you need help finding your folk's home? I'm not really after anything weird...." he rambled, still rather intimidated as he backpeddled very slowly.
This girl was mental; she had the most murderous look in her stare.
"What kind of fun are you even looking for?! 'Cause, I kinda get the feeling that it's not ring-around-the-roses...." he said, giving a nervous laugh.
"What's your name....?" he thought that maybe he should at least try exchanging pleasantries with the crazy girl who had tried to lash out at him, (probably not the wisest decision) not knowing what else to do. Kazu tried extending his hand for her to shake but quickly retracted it as at this point, it seemed more like putting your hand into a
crate with an angry lion in it.

Karasuba didn't really understand what the kid meant since she only eleven and frankly didn't care since anyone who fled from a love tap was a weakling in her eyes and thus wasn't worth her time in slightest. "Like I'd tell a weakling anything." Her words oozed with disdain as her face relaxed into a more apathetic expression. "If your not going to fight me then I got better places to go." With that said the young girl turned for the exit to the arena and slowly began to make her way out and head for home.

Kazu sighed; the girl obviously had an overinflated ego that he couldn't help but notice. His eyebrow remained raised as he watched her swagger out of the ring. She had managed to get the best of him though as he pulled his bow off his back and fired an arrow precisely over her shoulder in an attempt to scare her, "Come on then. I'm not scared to hit a girl," he called at her.

((Really? It's not that much of a chapter than is it? ))

Sitting in a corner watching the girl getting it all handed at her.. Yukiko had hoped for more of a fight, and Thus lost a Wager on the girl... oh well some times you Loose..
Yukiko stayed behind.. doing what she did best.. hid her presence, and waited for the girl to move.. then she would check up on her to make sure the were not too hurt.. after all she got hit with a full train.
Yukiko had been in the receiving end there more than once..
as she was sitting there waiting a boy just a bit older than the girl came out from hiding.. ' wondering why he had hid there.. oh well... '
as she got up and went for the exit, the girl did something to make the boy jump back.. and went to walk away..
and just as Yukiko came out from the side stands behind the makeshift barrier an arrow went flying past the girl.. Yukiko snatched it out from mid flight.. and walked out in full light.
standing in the "doorway" with the blond girl between her and the boy..

"now now kids, why use weapons outside training?"
the weird part of this was probably that the girl was no more older than the other 2. she wore a pair of steel toed army boots, followed up by a pair of Black trousers lined with pocket all over, at the belt was a peculiar belt buckle - the cloud genin headband,
she wore an extremely worn and dusty leather jacket without arms, but with a stitched soft leather Hood, hiding most of her Deep red hair, if not for the long part curled up as a whip at her right hip you would not think that she had much hair, The art hanging at the hip had small chains woven into the braid and a seal at the end with a stylised peregrine falcon as a motif at the seal (Hayabusa)
on her hand she wore a pair of gloves that covered all but the back of the hand, (open for punches)

as she caught the arrow, the would then stroke the tip with the back of her hand.. throwing it back in an arc around Karasuba back to Kazu.
[OOC: it is now charged with Electric power, and Thus will give a small stun to the hands picking it up.. only enough to leave the fingers numb]

"why not just use the hands? I'll join in if ya like!" she finished.. with something like a manic smile.

Karasuba didn't even flinch when she heard the twang of a bow but she did jump in surprise as a stranger stepped into the arena and caught the arrow out of the air before doing something strange that allowed the arrow to fly in a unnatural arc back towards it's owner. While cool this wasn't what interested Karasuba. What caught the young girl's interest was the manic expression the genin in front of her had that was similar to her own in it's intensity but probably had different reasons behind it. Despite herself Karasuba felt her own grin spread across her face as she turned to face the boy and girl. "Ha! Now your talking my lang......." Despite everything Karasuba was still a very young girl with no battle experience or even proper training and while her constitution was impressive it was still that of a little girl so it was no surprise that when she attempted to step forward her body gave way causing her to face plant the floor with an audible thump. "D.dammit" Was all that was muttered as her body went numb in an effort to force the academy student to rest and recuperate.

This was no surprise really since she had multiple small laceration over her body that made her crop top look like a torn bloody mess and she favoured her left side which usually suggested broken ribs or at least damage to the soft tissue. So when the body is subjected to so much damage it tends to force it's owner into a resting state as the older academy student and genin could now see.

Kazu watched as the arrow was quickly redirected towards him; this allowed him to react as he recognized the jutsu used to fire it back, even his teacher had used that on him. He managed to dodge as the arrow came at him but it meant Kazu losing his balance to avoid it and falling over.
Kazu stood back up, his Sharingan having been activated in a sort of adrenaline reflex as he dodged the projectile.
"Man....too many people!" he groaned, putting his bow away and giving the Genin a dagger-like glare.
It dawned on him quite quickly that the young girl had in fact fainted rather spectacularly. Kazu rushed to her aid and tried to roude her, "Woah....girl...a-are you okay?" he asked her unconscious body in an attempt to be mildly concerned.
"Hey, a little help here?" he asked the Genin, struggling to lift up Karasuba's body in order to get her to some help.
Kazu sighed once more as he thought about how the Genin looked poised for a battle, "By the way, I'd rather not fight anyone now....I don't feel like getting my ass kicked."

There's no justice in the world tonight.

The Cronopolis was a wonderful place. Deadmen buried in filth littered the backstreets. Shady guys robbing familes with nothing more than a shard of glass and desperation. There was no justice here. "Oi! You little-! Go earn me some money. I got debts to pay and booze to drink!" The words of a Father too lost in his own darkness, sent off a boy of 10 to feed his addictions. "Yes, Father." The boy replied before leaving the hut that was his home. Masaaki's light had faded to a mere dim of what a childs should be. His purity, his soul. But to disobey was to deny his existence and the safety of the people he cared for. His Mother especially. So he would wade through the shadows, even for a few yen. There were many ways to earn money. The easiest was to pick pockets. And areas of crowded people made this very easy. But the population of the slums werent exactly filled with rich people. Nor people who even had pockets.

But you walk the streets long enough and you begin to hear whispers. Whispers so foul, they would darken the very wax in your ears. Fight Club. Two words Masaaki homed in on. And where there was a fight club, there would be gambling. You don't gamble with nothing. Well, most normal people didn't.

Problems do arise from time to time however. And timing was a major one. For the event that was meant to be filled with scumbags and fighters, was instead filled with... three children? A wasted journey? He thought to himself. Maybe not. He could still check the bleachers. Fat pockets had a habit of spilling over after all. So off he went, making sure to ignore the three "fighters" as they did whatever they were doing. Straight to the bleachers. Fortune found him quickly as he himself found a 100 Yen coin. "Ah. Only...9900 more to go." He said with a sigh.

Cronopolis - the one place where Yaban Hito could remain hidden without trying. He blended in well with the rough, down looking area. He had heard the cheers, jeers, and shouts from the arena, and it made him smirk. He wanted to join in. In his mind, he decided it was time to pay them a visit. He might be young, but he was skilled, as well as trained. The boy rose to his feet, from where he had been perched on the roof of a nearby dwelling. It was time to have some fun! At least, to Yaban Hito, the only fun he wanted - was fighting.

As he leaped off the roof, he landed on his hands and one knee. He got up, brushed himself off, and made his way to the arena. Upon his arrival, it seemed, that the fighting was about to end, leaving him disappointed. He had seen no fights, no blood, no glory to be had. This greatly aggravated the boy, making his anger rise. He had really wanted to have fun! Then, as the crowd shifted, and he saw the girl get knocked to the ground, he climbed one of the houses, sat down, and watched the girl from above. Shortly after, he watched the crowd hungrily; wanting to see their blood and weak bodies mingling together, causing each other harm.. Then, slowly the crowd left to go their own ways. He again noticed the female lying down in the dirt. He frowned, not knowing who it could be to just lie there, like that. It intrigued him, but not very much. More so, that he wondered "why" they would just lie there.. Then, deciding that the whole trip had been a waste of time, Yaban Hito closed his eyes and waited to see what would become of her.

It didn't take long for everyone to clear out, and for Yaban to spot the boy hiding so he didn't have to pay his dues. It mattered not, Yaban thought, to not pay. But, he found it plausible to have hidden just to avoid paying. As the other male child ran over the the girl on the ground, asking her questions, and trying to be friendly, Yaban took interest in how the girl acted, and what she said when she responded. The phrase amused him, especially after she had just lost. "Like she would tell a weakling anything.", he said to himself under his breath. Then, as she went to leave, the boy fired an arrow. Yaban Hito's eyes went wide with excitement. Was he really going to see what he loved so much after all? Then, a third person appeared, catching the arrow, protecting the girl. This infuriated him. He wanted to see action, he wanted them to respond appropriately to what he wanted! Yet, he remained in silence, awaiting what would happen next. Then, as the girl turned, and failed horribly to face-planted back into the dirt, the boy tried again, to help her, and communicating with the second female, Yaban noticed from the corner of his eye, yet a fourth person; a young boy scouring the bleachers for something. He had had enough of this. Getting up, he drew his sword, and hopped down from the roof to stand in front of them all. His bear-pelt mask covering his face, the furs hung over his body like trophies for clothes. In his left hand was the sword, very notched, scratched, and stained. He was angry, very angry; his thirst for fighting, hunting, and his bloodthirst seeping from him, pouring out to the others.

"You are weak. Your words are weak. Why do you, boy, want to help her? Why do you girl, lose a battle to say that you will not tell a weakling anything? And you, girl," he looked to the one who had offered to duel with her hands, "do you wish to test your strength versus me?" His voice was stern, hard, to a point. He stood, before them, raising his sword to rest it over his shoulder, awaiting their answers. "Why have you wasted my time, not letting go of the emotions, and not engaging in the...." his voice trailed off, his mind thinking of hunting, causing his mouth to water with excitement. "exciting... activities that have presented itself not only once.. Not twice.. Not thrice... But four times now!?" As he spoke, his voice was raised louder with each word, ending on a bitter note when he mentioned 4 times. He would give that number time to sink in.

The Girl turned to face the boy.. as the boy dodged an arrow not meant to hit him. 'Oh well' Yukiko thought, 'Youngsters these days..' not really thinking that she actually would be a youngster to them if they knew her age...
the Girl went for a charge and somehow failed it, face planting the dirt on the floor, she would have been hurt more than she herself had anticipated, the boy somehow had misinterpreted Yukiko's suggestion earlier as if he should fight Yukiko, when clearly none of those two would have the experience to actually fight on par with her..
he rushed to her aid, and asked for help.
Yukiko heard a rustle up at the stands.. ' hmm she had not noticed anyone up there, but they would have to come down her of they intended to intrude' and that was exactly what someone did, from the opposite direction a boy, smaller than Yukiko, standing with a ravaged sword jumped down and started yelling at them.
Yukiko hadn't had time to check the passed out girl before the second boy had jumped in the fray.
she had dismissed the boy attending the girl as a non threat now, and Thus went to attend the girl, not breaking eyecontact with the boy carrying the sword. assessing him. were he worthy of fighting her.. she was not here to fight, but to Watch it.. and 2 youngsters had started fighting.. she had only stepped in because a weapon against bare hands were not fair when they were not trained properly... and Thus she had suggested a fair fight with Yukiko to supervise the equality..
as Yukiko got to the girl, she noticed that she had pressed her body past its limits, and mainly needed rest, but a bruising at her side suggested something broken or at least damaged.
Being a Genin and living in the same house as a top Mednin of the city, would naturally give her some skills in handling minor injuries..
she told the boy beside the girl to step back for a moment. as she picked up the girl, making sure not to stretch or bend the bruised part, she turned her back to the boy with the sword, still not replying to his... anger...
altho she left her senses ready for an unprovoked attack,
she then moved the girl to the side of the arena, using her jutsu to heal the smaller injuries, and attending as best she could the side.. but it would need more professional help to completely heal. but as far as she could tell, it was not broken, but she was not in a condition to fight for training...
Yukiko then left the girl sleeping for a bit more as she would inspect the 2 boys a bit more

the boys were not the same age, but the one with the bow did look to carry himself as a Little more trained than the boy with the sword...
hmm it could be a fair fight..

"now now boy"
Yukiko said to the boy with the sword
" you want to fight me?.. as you are standing I can tell that you could not bend a hair on me"
as she said that, Yukiko unfolded the whiplike hair on her hip, without touching it, looking like the only thing moving was the seal at the end, all by itself.
"But"
she said while holding up one finger
"I'm sure that the two of you boys, would end out as a fair fight, you both have a weapon, and your around the same training...
If you both agree to it, I will supervise a fair fight between you 2.
But I wont allow permanent damage! if that happens, I will step in and you will know the difference of our training"

she said to both the bow boy and the blade boy...
" now if you please, what is your names?"

To him it seemed like all these ninja were coming out of the walls and he wasn't all too pleased with the sudden crowd. Although Kazu didn't know the Genin that was taking the younger girl from him, he did not resist; she looked like she knew what she was doing. Everything was moving so quickly through Kazu's eyes; one moment he was helping a girl who looked rather in a mess, the next a crowd has joined in the lively 'fun' for lack of a better word.
"Guys, guys, what's with all this 'weakling' nonsense," his voice was now smooth and calm in a very laid back manner.
"Sure, you can take her," he began, breifly facing the Genin, "cuts the heavy lifting in half," and by heavy lifting, for Kazu, he meant anything larger than a small dog.
The young ninja reached for his other arrow which had embedded itself in the dirt on the far end of the ring from the earlier use of it and stowed it away in his quiver. He absent mindedly scratched his hair while he watched the other young ninja, the one who looked like he had been raised by a family of squirrels and carrying a sword, verbally lash out at him and the other two girls.
Kazu faced the young savage with the least bit of dignity in the way he walked, "I'll test my strength against you, I've been itching to try out something new anyway," he told him, getting more enthusiastic about it, "You up for it, fox chops?" he asked, an obvious slam on the boy's appearance, "or are you just gonna call me weak and go limp away?"
He clipped his bow firmly to his back, not intending to use it at such a short range, readying himself for an ensuing battle.

The sound of his booted foot crushing an idle clay jug which had been discarded by some hobo or drunk, a day, week, or month ago. He stood slightly shy of seven feet tall and his scarred cyclopean face told of a hundred battles, all fought, most won. Today he didn't have his sword with him, for it was more an item of memorabilia for Shinbatsu's only student. A way to remember the hardships he had been through, the torture and the pain, but also the undying love and devotion for his master, and his masters eternal gift.

Don't mind me. I'll just watch and reminisce on times long past. Perhaps I might even be able to pass on a tip or two.

He could see the confidence in the youth, and he knew that this technically wasn't legal. But it hadn't been when he was an ANBU in Training and had intercepted two Chuunin as they attempted to kill the current Raikage Hayata Shin, at the time a Genin, and an academy student. The explosions which erupted through that alley had taken the better part of a year to repair, but in that time Shin had seen the true soul of the ANBU in his friend, and when the smoke cleared the Genin and the Academy Student found themselves alone with two unconscious bodies. Akira himself had not remained.

Unconsciously the pinky finger on his right hand grazed his ANBU mask which he kept on his side at all times.

He was interested in seeing what the youth of Kumogakure had to offer its village.

Yaban Hito listened to them speak, and watched the female pick up the other and move aside. As for when it came to his name, he did not answer. Instead, he looked into the eyes of the other, listening to him try to hurt Yaban's pride, and sense of character. He couldnt help the way he was, he had been born and let go to fend for himself. But he wouldnt tell them that. By the time the boy finished speaking, Yaban instantly rushed him, thrusting his sword up to the others chin, and going in for a leg sweep with his right foot. He'd make the boy regret his words, and show him that his own strength wasn't a laughing matter. He'd show him not to judge based on looks alone.

Kazu got a bit of a scuff on his chin as he narrowly avoided the leg sweep but he had his methods. His Sharingan was reactivated with a few handseals and maybe it was a bit wasteful to activate the Sharingan at the start of the battle but he just wanted to break it in and get a good chance to use it other than the once or twice he already had.
"I like your style. Vicious and hotheaded, I see," Kazu smirked as he watch the movement of the other, using his enhanced eyes to track his movements. He rushed forward, strafing side to side as he ran in order to get fairly close to Yaban. He attempted to grapple with him at a close range for his eyes carried a Genjutsu. He attempted to inflict the Influenza Genjutsu and he would able to do so by tricking Yaban to look into his eyes through the Insidious Gaze techinique which of course would be something that was hard to avoid. He felt this was a good revenge for being nearly tripped up by the sword wielding kid earlier.

[OOC: I will let Kazu respond to the attack before I make my post]

[did not see that He already did.. sry
edit according to post - gereally no OCC banther its not occ conversatons.. :) ]

The sword kid, charged forward without announcing his name as requested buy Yukiko, 'oh well I know his movements and the fact that he wars a bear mask and his voice... past this.. so I should be able to find him afterwards if needed anyway... ' she thought.
The other boy did not have time to announce anything.. but he managed to Dodge the rather crude straight forward attack beautifully... as he danced past the attack Yukiko noticed.. ' ah sharingan makes sense, lets see if "blade" can handle that ' she thought

Only barely acknowledging the arrival of another person with a nod of her head... an ANBU judging from the mask on his side.
Yukiko made a mental note of him.. never to forget the face, and his voice..
she kept focus on the 2 students fighting it out, making sure that she could intervene if Things got out of hand
Althoug she did also keep an eye on the girl at her side if she should wake..

(( She might be a little tentative by the way, I dunno. I know the person that plays her and I think he's just a little busy from time to time. ))

He didn't know their names but he watched their fight.

They were young, and almost half Akira's height, though they probably seemed shorter than they really were due to the size difference, he often found that to be the case. His byakugan activated so that he could see everything the two were preparing, how they molded their chakra, what technique they were using.

The first boy had long black hair visible, what Akira's could have been like had he grown it out instead of cut it into short spikes. He wore animal skins and was wielding a sword. For fun combat this seemed a little over the top, surely there were training blades available or blunt weapons? They wouldn't want to accidentally kill one another? Yet the boy rushed forward with a piercing technique aimed at the underside of the other boys chin.

The other boy was taller, probably about Akira's height at that age, maybe slightly shorter. The dress style was so completely different from his opponent they could have come from two completely different villages. This boy wore more formal attire, shirt, pants, and he moved quickly, a slight nick from the blade as he narrowly avoided it, his eyes never leaving his opponent, and an air of confidence surrounding him.

The first had followed up with an immediate leg sweep which might have managed to avoid the others comprehension had Akira not noticed the red eyes of the Uchiha come into play, allowing the other to notice the more subtle body movements from where he'd had to move to avoid the first blow. A step back and he gave himself time to speak at the other, a double edged compliment matched with a smirk only an Uchiha could give.

Moving forward and into the combat again he moved for a grapple, though Akira would have to wait to see the result of the Uchiha's attack.
