Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Without saying a word Kikei turns away and grabs at Ark’s arm to pull him along with her. She took their information and realized it told them absolutely nothing about the warehouse. So this meant that they would have trouble in they ran into any adults. They might need some sort of diversion if they were to get away with such a thing without trouble.

“So we are kind of screwed if we get caught, will have no excuses. Children already know to avoid the warehouse. My plans are literally out the window now, well expect one that is so crazy it could work for us to break in and do our thing. We hire the children to run diversions for us since they already figured the things out almost.” She said with a sigh as she gave up on trying upholding this leader like aura after having her information lead coming out being absolutely pointless. ‘Well all I learned was that we aren’t going to be wanted in the place we are supposed to go. I need to just get this over with maybe we should just go with his plan and go balls to the wall deep and hope for the best.’ She thought with a sigh as she looked at her leaf companion.

“I don’t even know anymore I was just so prepared you know I felt ready to do this amazing thing and I’m falling flat at it.” She mumbled under her breath as she walked with him in a slump towards their location. Her manic depression was honestly really starting to kick her own ass even if she had taken her medication for it. Being made a fool really messed with her she thought she was being so slick but in the end only got scammed.

Tatsuo wouldn't deny that it felt pretty good to see Kikei so down. She had treated him pretty badly for this whole trip, but he began to feel bad that it made him feel good. He shouldn't really find any joy in her perceived failures. Even if he didn't like her. He looked over to her and shrugged "I mean I wouldn't have done it that way but I don't think it's the worst thing I've ever seen someone do. But I mean.." he sighed rubbing the back of his neck. "I know you're in charge and all but I got a pretty good idea on how to get in." As he said this they were passing a warehouse which was loading a multitude of wooden crates into. "I mean I don't know if you know but I'm pretty good at wood Jutsu. I could ya know, make a crate, and put us in it. I'd make some air holes too so we didn't choke. But I can't do it with out ya, since it'd take me about 20 to 30 seconds to really make a crate that'd trick anyone. And you're all good at that Genjutsu stuff. I took a class in it but I'm no good at it. Okay well do you get what I mean? We wait for a shipment, then you use your weird red eye thing and I make a crate. We get carried in then we carry on the mission from there." Since Tatsuo had been talking they were now in front of the warehouse E-12. As of now there weren't any shipments outside but with the plethora of grunt workers inhabiting the front he'd assume that one would appear shortly. Tatsuo looked to Kikei awaiting her response on his idea. He placed both hands behind his head and looked around. "I think it's our best bet, but it's your call, boss."

“How are we going to get out though? I understand how will get inside but getting out will be difficult. I don’t know your plan is better than anything I can probably come up with. The guards seem pretty tough, plus how are we so sure they will load us into the proper warehouse?” She questioned him with a very depressed tone in her voice. ‘I wonder what I can actually get away with inside of a box. I would have to get them in direct eye contact in order to even cast but I don’t know his idea is better than mine.’ She thought as she looked at the front door of the warehouse, a slight thought wondering if there was a side entrance that had only a single guard they could by pass.

“You think there might be a side door with a single guard we can bypass using genjutsu?” She mumbled very low barely even audible. She was honestly very worried it would sound stupid but had to at least say it for the sake of saying it. Sighing softly she turned towards her partner before turning back towards the warehouse.

“It’s just a suggestion but we can try yours it sounds more plausible to get us entry.” She said softly as she turned her sharingan on just to get a better vision of the area.

Tatsuo listened to what Kikei had to say carefully, while she had a few mishaps she did have the mission's best interests at heart and at least he could respect that, it wasn't her fault they had to be doing this mission together despite disliking each other so much. "Well, if we just sneak it we're more likely to get caught. We have no idea where they keep the goods, snooping around the place looking for the storage will definitely run is into some trouble, that warehouse is huge." he said looking at the expansive and almost intimidating warehouse.

Tatsuo crossed his arms, he looked to her after he suggestion. "I mean I understand where you're coming from, but I don't want to spend a lot of time running around in there, once we've checked for the weapons its much easier to get out, however if we're caught snooping around well.. I'm not really in the mood to fight, i'm still tired from walking all the way over here."

As she activated her Sharignan Tatsuo looked to her, the whole red eye thing, even if he was used to it by now still was a bit offputting, some people said that Sharingans could see people's true feelings and damn would Tatsuo be embarrassed if Kikei knew how much he disliked her. He would then look away blushing, because he'd feel horrible if they could truly see emotion.

The warehouse was a broad large building constructed of the same mix of stone and wood, the rest of this area consisted of. The wood was well weathered from sea wind, and paint slapped on during its creation had faded to a dull, flaking grey. There were two doors, it didn't take much to check that the cover of the adjacent warehouses, both being well lit, guarded and heavily padlocked. The front door had two people hovering near it and a third not too far away on the docks. They were all trying to keep a low profile, the worker on the docks trying to fish up some lunch and the duo by the door playing a card game, but all three never let the door out of sight. This part of the docks was deep enough that the mid-sized cargo ship assigned to these warehouses was anchored right to it and there was a fair level of activity aboard. The back door had a single, heavy set man who sat napping in an old wood chair leant back against the wall. There was also two windows, one set on either side of the two-story tall building, and from where they stood it looked as if they, being still quite small, could climb through. It didn't seem as if any cargo was set to be moved in or out of the building at that very moment.

Kikei watched on as she got a grasp of the area and then turned towards her partner wondering if his plan would truly work due to no obvious loading or going on. It had a better chance than anything she had come up with though so it was worth a shot and if worst came to pass she could just genjutsu their way to freedom. At least she hoped she would be able to at least.

“Okay where are we going to plant the crate I say by the sleeping old man he looks the easiest to fool.” She said softly as she turned back towards the objective. Maybe we should just take out the old man alone and sneak in that way it’s not like they do a routine check on each other from what I can tell, but his plan sounds really solid but then again ugh I need to stop I’m just overthinking things at this point.’ She thought to herself as she took a big deep of the salty air.

Tatsuo nodded as he mentioned the old man at the back. They had been circling the warehouse a few times, as they noticed the old man sleeping Tatsuo began to wonder, it would be easy enough to just get past the old man. His plan would work if they were shipping crates, but they didn't seem to have anything coming in at the moment and I doubt Kikei wanted to spend any more time with Tatsuo as much as he did her. "I don't think the crate idea will work too well, even if we planted it by the old guy they'd wonder how a crate got to the back like that. Crates are heavy and normally don't have legs." he'd say laughing a bit at his own joke before shaking his head and beginning to think a little harder. "We could go through that window, if really needed I could break it, sending all the guards into a frenzy as you run in, check it, and run out. What do you wanna do boss? Loud or quiet?" he would say awaiting Kikei's response, he tried to seem genuine. Even if he didn't like her, the mission seemed really important to her and he didn't want her feeling too lousy about it.

“I vote quiet we are ninja after all. Now we go through the window maybe the frame is made of wood and you can deconstruct it silently and pass me the glass.” She said with a smile kind of getting back into the grove of everything. Of course she could also genjutsu the old man to ignore them and get in that way as well but the window idea would leave, that’s right it would leave evidence of their tampering.

“We go the old man, I’ll use a genjutsu to make it so we can go and come as we please. If we go the window we leave evidence which could ruin the whole reason we are scouting in the first place. They would and could easily move their hiding spot of they realize it had been compromised.” Kikei said with a grin as she realized he could check the crates without having to open them at all just by bending the wood back and forth.

“We wouldn’t even have to open the crates if you can bend them open from the sides and shut them back.” She said with a giggle as she kicked back into gear and gripped a fist with a smile. ‘Okay old man then we start molding and unmolding the crates it shouldn’t take us long to find what we are looking for.’ She thought as she turned towards her leaf comrade eyes full of fire, sharingan still completely active.

"Sounds good to me." he said nodding as he began the walk to the back where the old man was. “We probably should do this now, we’ve circled the warehouse one too many times I’d say. They’ll start to recognize our faces and I doubt we want to be called a couple again.” he said poking fun at her earlier reaction. “Alright, i’ll go for the window you deal with the old man.” With that, Tatsuo had sprung into action. He had no plans to slow down for Kikei, he wanted to get home fast he wasn’t planning on spending any time in a Port Cirrus prison for breaking and entering.

Assuming that the old man was taken care of by Kikei he would begin to do work on the window, first he would attempt to see if there was any way to open the window, if not he would check if had a wooden frame. If so, he would use his chakra to retract the wood in a snake like movement. Keeping one hand on the glass to prevent it from crashing and placing the glass pane against the wall as quickly as he could. If the window frame was not made out of wood, he would most likely kick the base of window, as there were rarely support beams and the likes under windows. Hopefully enough to create a small place for him to jam the window out of place. If all else failed he would attempt to just break the window as quietly as possible, by taking a nearby rock and chunking it through the window.

Kekei quickly bounced from the location and headed straight towards the old man, even went as far as bouncing into him and falling onto the ground. She had hoped that he would get angry and grab at her and lift her to eye level. If not that then he would at least help her back up for being a kind old man ether way she would make for eye contact and apply her hypnotic suggestion. The suggestion being me and my comrade both have clearance from the boss to go and come from the warehouse. Simple, sweet, and to the point any further and she feared it wouldn’t stick.

‘God I hope this works or at least Tatsuo’s window is easier to get through. If we are lucky it might even be unlocked and we wouldn’t have to break or unmold anything.’ She thought as she waited for the response from the old man.

The old guard did neither of the things Kikei expected. Her running into him, or more specifically his chair, toppled him loudly onto the stone alleyway. He laid there at least ten seconds, his eyes unfocused and his face red in the telltale drunken stupor. He hiccupped, then, as if time suddenly caught up with him made an awful, angry roar. "Aye, you stupid git'!!" he swore, launching spittle into his unruly beard. He growled and huffed some more while rolling and thrashing as if fighting an invisible enemy but really just too uncoordinated to find his feet. Another a few more seconds of struggling like an overturned turtle he made it to sitting and made a laughably clumsy grab for Kikei's ankle. He wasn't really a threat, but he was LOUD.

Finally, he made eye contact, and Kikei was finally given the opportunity to make her suggestion without overt force. "Oh, iz you!" he exclaimed as the suggestion took hold, "dun know why your type always gotta use the back door. Watch your step next time miss," he grunted, pulling his keys free and unlocking the back doorway for her to pass. After that, he picked his chair back up, popped it back in place next to the door and set himself back down. Kikei could hear snoring seconds later.

Meanwhile, Tatsuo had scaled the building and found the window to be very much open though the lock had at first appeared intact. A tiny symbol had been carved in an inconspicuous place on the wooden frame, one that would not be known to him, but it seemed someone had purposefully left the lock broken. At his size, squeezing in was an easy enough and he could scale down again with relative ease.

Inside the warehouse was dark. Only the two small windows gave off light, illuminating box upon unmarked crate stacked high through most of the warehouse. There was a light next to the door Kikei entered with a thick wire trailing up to several flood lights in the ceiling. There was no one apparent inside, just them and a couple rats scurrying between the box maze.

Kikei pulled her leg back as she was reached for and stared at the drunken old man. ‘Some guard dog he is all bark and no bite. I wonder if the other two even heard him over the sound of the boats coming in to port.’ She thought to herself as she allowed herself access to the warehouse wondering if the leaf ninja found entry to be as easy as hers.

“Let us see here.” She said softly as she began to rummage about the boxes looking for any that may have already been tampered with. After closing the door behind her of course didn’t need any passerby spotting her rummaging through crate after crate. Though she will admit half of her wanted to ask the old man what he meant by her kind. Must have not been his first run in with a ninja or a thief for that matter.

“What you’re kidding me who ships rice this way….isn’t it supposed to be in like bags inside crates not just a crate full of rice.” She said to herself as she slapped her forehead. ‘Well shinobi tactic number one is to hide in plain sight so maybe that’s the thing here.’ She thought as she began to feel about the rice hoping to find something more inside of the crate.

Tatsuo would notice the mark on the window, which began to fill him with doubt. He had no idea what it was, but even Tatsuo could tell a broken lock wasn't normal. He had a bad feeling about all this. He decided to make his way through the window himself as Kikei began to dig through the boxes. As he entered the window he found support on one of the boxes stacked all the way to the window. Keeping an eye on Kikei, or at least as well as he could with the darkness shrouding her quite well. He went to check the box under his feet before shaking his head, he made his way down to two boxes over. He placed his hand on the box he now stood atop of, focusing his chakra into the wood he managed to make it warp into a hole that allowed him to peer quickly into the box, aided by the sunlight entering through the window. He quickly scanned it looking for any weapons. If there weren't any, he would most likely advise Kikei to retreat with him. This was way too easy, no criminal organization would make it this easy unless they were expecting intervention. "Hurry up, if there isn't any weapons in that crate either, we should get outta here."

Rice, rice, rice and more rice. That's all that was apparently in the crates that Tatsuo and Kikei first opened by their own individual methods. Kikei had the bright idea of digging deeper to check for the hidden weapons and sunk her arms elbow deep in the starchy grain. Nothing. It was strange, too strange, and the bad feeling that Tatsuo has gotten intensified. Kikei couldn't help but feel the whole thing was off too.

It was too little too late, unfortunately

The trouble with letting a man shout and carry on at the back door was someone inevitably went to check on them. So, if say, the man who had just been roaring could only explain vaguely that 'someone' had come to overlook the warehouse, a someone that the two front guards had not been made aware of, they couldn't help but question who or what had been let into their not so very legal storage space. Voices could be heard from the door Kikei had very conservatively closed before as the guards shouted between themselves trying to work out what exactly had happened.

It also made sense that if you were going to create a front for weapon shipping that you hire on some extra help that could deal with the inevitable and oh so pesky shinobi.

Before they could do so much as twitch towards an escape point, two chains shot out from the darkness and bound Tatsuo neck to knee. Kikei would have only a second more to try and escape or hit her headset's distress button before she was similarly bound. To their dismay, they would find the chains to be created from the same rare metal used in the prison collars of Kumogakure which drained off then blocked a shinobi's access to chakra. Now essentially average humans, they would find themselves feeling baby-weak.

"I told you if we let that clumsy bitch go they would send more shinobi," a feminine voice laughed, reeling herself towards the caught Tatsuo. She looked to be a shinobi but had no village symbol on her and was shrouded head to foot in ash grey clothing, "I even left her stupid symbol on that window. You poor baby bird, you just went straight for it." the woman laughed and pulled Tatsuo to her, putting him in a chock hold.

A male voice hummed affirmatively in return as their second captive appeared at the end of Kikei's chain. He almost came forward enough for Kikei to manage eye contact, almost gave her an opening to make an escape but a third person entered through the door Kikei had come from, also completely covered, and shouted a warning.

"Don't look the girl in the eyes," the figure ordered, also male sounding, "I watched her put Ken under genjutsu. You never know with those disgusting tricksters." He pulled his face cover down quickly to spit with disgust. That was all her captive needed to know, and he caught her by the hair and forced her to look at her own feet.

"The boss will like them, he wanted new pets." the second man said, pulling two syringes from his bag. They would be strong enough to resist getting struck in the neck- his ultimate goal- but he settled for their less mobile arms. Kikei would be incredibly dizzy, weak to the effects of the drink, and find herself slipping in and out of consciousness in a way that would make it difficult to know when she was actually awake. Tatsuo would lose mobility of most of his body, putting him into a waking sleep state that left him aware of sound and with blurred vision.

"Put them in a crate and get them on the ship."
