Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Noroi took a small pause after a few moments of following Kenji, waiting for his teammates and teacher to catch up. The wind and the snow seemed so beautiful together, constantly moving around in harmony like a never ending dance. It was a cold, but Noroi's body had gotten used to it by now. By the time they caught up, Kenji seemed a good distance away, and still cackling madly as always.

Noroi's ears twitched when he heard his instructions. Akuma, another boy with red hair. Almost like blood.... Nope, too light of a tone. He smiled a little at akuma, hoping he could be a possible friend. Nervously, he scratched the scar on his neck. When the group came to the split paths, Noroi rubbed his eyes a few times. Was Kenji mirrored? Or did he split?! What logic is in this spirit world? Carefully following miss Seika's instructions, he walked towards the right path next to akuma

At first everything seemed alright, perfectly normal (as the spirit world can get), but the something strange happened. Akuma seemed to be really far away from him, like miles. Noroi tried to jog towards him, but Akuma seemed to be getting farther and farther away. Then a deep mist appeared, blocking all view. Noroi ran forward blindly, not knowing where to go.

Next thing he knew, he was in a park. Warm, soft sunlight bathed the area. A nice breeze was in the air. Before Noroi could observe anything else, three girls ran up to him. Their names suddenly just appeared in his head. How does that work? He hadn't seen them before. The girl named Ai grabbed on to his arm and said she missed him and not to leave. Noroi hadn't met them in the past, have he? A mix of emotions swam in his head. He had never felt any affection before. He didn't really know how to give affection. And here he was with a girl hugging his arm. She seemed to genuinely care about him, and Noroi's eyes had a few small tears in them from the first true sign of affection he had felt in his life. But one more detail unnerved him. The other girls said for Ai to share him. Were they going to eat him?

"H-hello a-Ai....? H-have we m-met b-before? W-were we f-friends i-in the p-past?" Noroi nervously asked, trying to scope out the details on this place
"Please don't e-eat m-me" he added quietly

Shana nodded to Kagari as he stated he was good, was a bonus, and as well as the rest of the group. Shana would have to agree with Danforth
"Yes, of course! The path to the eye is nothing more than trickery and lies to deter those weak in heart or mind. Then to possess it... the want must be substantiated."
the fact that it felt we have gone miles without anything, but in all reality to herself we only went a few feet. Crystallized gem looking snow and everything around them was a illusion, the wind gusted and it looked like everyone was starting slow down in pace. Shana shivered each time Danforth spoke, he sounded so creepy, and disturbing. She always listened, to learn and or to know exactly the situations, but her the thoughts that run through her head, some would freak out at the outburst if they heard them.

The spirit world needed to keep up and become more exciting, she thought as she followed the group, kicking the snow with each step, she thought it would be more to see, ghosts wandering around, "SOMETHING!", she was disappointed for the moment... she looked up at this point to see the site of the maze moving was making Shana nauseous and ill, she thought to herself of this isn't going to be good at all. It was huge, reminded her of Crystal palisade from the neverending story. This was going to be a long hall, or a never returning mission. The next thing Shana heard and saw was Azusa bashing her head off a wall.. "ARE YOU NUTS? Trying to kill yourself before we even start the mission?" Shana shook her head with a stunned wacky look as if to say this priestess is crazy.

Danforth stated he needed a volunteer, Shana paused and jumped it in not knowing what she would be needed for, but hey what could it hurt right. We have the best teachers and guests here they won't let her die... not yet at least, "RIGHT" she blurted out. I will help you Danforth what is it, rubbing her hands together, and a cheeky smile.. Looking at the maze all the thoughts of what was about to come, what would we come into contact with, find or deal with. Those were all exciting and adventurous times, learning process as well.

Akuma nodded as he listened to the orders he was given. Akuma along with his shy teammate Noroi was supposed to take the right path. While Seika and Hato take the right left path. To Akuma the plan was kind of stupid why would leave two academy students alone to their own devices in the sprit world. A place filled with some of the most dangerous things that even cause some of the most powerful shinobi in the world to wet themselves. But hey that was just his opinion on the situation.

Duo walked the path in silence, Akuma did not know much about his partner other than the fact he was shy and stuttered a lot. He was about to spark up a conversation with his partner, but suddenly It seemed as if Norio and with every step he took Norio seemed to move even farther.
“Norio where are you going” Akuma shouted but he knew his partner wouldn’t be able to hear him any ways. Suddenly a dense fog appeared and swallowed both boys and left them to stumble around in darkness. “This place just ranked #1 in my book of Things to Hate” Akuma grumbled as he stumbled around in the darkness.

The fog disappeared just as fast as it came, revealing a beautiful park and filled to the brim with warm sunlight. “This is a great scenery change,” Akuma stated as he looked around the park. But his eyebrow rose when he saw the closed door behind him. ‘This probably a trap, I have to- “We missed you! Don't leave us again!” Akuma was again out of his thoughts by three beautiful girls that he has never seen in his entire life, but some how knew their names as if they had been friends forever. But seems as if they where more friendlier towards Norio because as soon as they made their appearance known the one named Ai grabbed Norio arm and said she missed him and never to leave her. This piece of information caused Akuma to raise his eyebrow at Norio.
“Norio how the heck do you know these girl and more importantly how the heck are we goanna get out of here” He said the last part more quietly so the girls would not be able to hear him. He did not want some mysterious fan girls to mess up their mission.

The Imperfect

AS they followed the insane old man into the maze, the party came to a halt when the crazy old man seemed to split in two and take both paths in the fork. How could he do that? Seika, seeming in disbelief tossed a pebble both ways of the path. The pebble did not mirror not the crazy old guy had. Great. As if to answer Hato’s question about which path they should take, Seika-sensei answered that they would take both. The party would split and follow both paths. Seika headed one way and the other two boys went the opposite way.
” Seika-sensei… Are you sure this is a good idea?” Despite his own uneasiness, the team had already begun to proceed onto their designated paths. Hato gritted his teeth and followed after Seika-sensei. He hadn’t understood much about this place, but he thought he recalled the dangers of this place had received a fair amount of warning. This place was a maze. Hato’s fists clenched as he considered that they were never going to see Noroi or Akkuma again. He followed quietly behind Seika-sensei as she tried to lead him down the path of the crazy old man. Hato wasn’t sure at which point he lost track of the old man. His senses snapped to reality at the cry from Seika-sensei for help.

Hato’s eyes locked onto Seika’s! She was sinking into the ground! The fat academy student didn’t know what he could do to help. He felt his muscles lock up as the fear of what was going to happen filled his body. She was sinking. She looked at him with pleading eyes for him to save her. This wasn’t the most traumatizing thing he had ever seen… and yet, it was the first time he had the opportunity to do something about it.
”W-what do I do!?” His panic induced voice made his voice sound like a girlish squeal. He waved his arms about in panic as his head searched for something he could use. There weren’t any convenient sticks or branches, and he didn’t have any rope or even ninja wire. ”What do I do, what do I do?”He began to recite those words as a panic induced mantra, as he desperately search for something he could do. How far was the floor even stable? As far as he was able to tell, the floor that had begun to absorb his teacher like quicksand seemed like the rest of this walkway. He couldn’t be sure how much he could walk on, and he wasn’t tall enough to have a wingspan that could reach Seika.

”I-I’ve got to get help!”The answer was clear to Hato. There wasn’t any decent way he would be able to save Seika on his own. He needed some backup. Someone was bound to have the tools he was lacking. Hato turned around and bolted the way he had come. ”Guys! GUYS!!! We need help over here! Quick! ” His stamina quickly drained, and his sprint slowed as he bent over his knees gasping for air. He looked down the he was backtracking. Was it this long before? With fear enhancing his senses, the cooridoor seemed infinitely longer than it had before. He just hoped that his allies would hear him and come to the aid of Seika. Hopefully before it was too late. He looked up and gritted his teeth before continuing his run. His lungs burned, and his legs felt like jelly, but he would try his hardest.

  • Hato Panics
  • Hato leaves Seika
  • Hato tries to run back down the path to get help from the others

Saieko had just crossed over and put herself in the maze now all would have been good but when she ran the ritual a so called old friend made her presence known and decided to give Sai a warm welcome into the spirit realm by placing her away from her class. Saieko cursed as the wall slammed shut behind her, Vara….. her so called in home demon that resided in the spirit realm bound by Saieko around the time she awakened into her bloodline that her mother carried with her. She could even hear the raspy laughter in her head from the demon she began to recite a small rhyme mocking Sai and her class. ssss…….yessss……….One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. A deaf policeman heard the noise and came and killed those two dead boys.”……….hahahahaha Saieko hated that rhyme, it reminded her of stories that parents told their children to scare them into line when they were little. She did her best to ignore the demons beckon and focus on finding her kids in the maze. She was after all there teacher, the melody on the wind didn’t falter as it altered into specific tones telling her that the maze knew they were here. She put her hand on the ice walls as she went further into the maze taking a left corner and then doubled back south towards the same wall that just closed a few minutes ago. Her hands felt the ice and they stung from the mere touch of the ice and the bitter bite told her that the wall wasn’t a fake. As she moved along that corridor another wall swung perpendicular towards her like a swinging hatch door but it had a vertical rise of like 100ft high. The maze was already starting to try and squash her. She was foreign to the maze she didn’t belong. See the door swinging towards her she noticed a small hole along the left side in which she would have to time it to get along the side of the swing. She sent the chakra to her feet and dashed at the mark baseball sliding into the small crevasse as the door swung and slammed into the far wall shattering it completely Into huge ice blocks and if one were to blink they would really be confused at the nature of what just happened because in the same instant that the door shattered it reformed along the right side as the wall it was before she came into the corridor. Sai huffed and brushed her self off from the snow that gathered as she slid. This was already starting to become a pain in the ass, Saieko wondered if it was right to bring these kids into the Realm like this, She thought it would be a great learning experience for them, but now that Vara had reared her ugly ass in her coffin back home Saieko wondered if these kids would even make it past the first set of trials that the maze throws at people? I mean Gen was nasty trick to play on anyone and it was a devious weapon to wield against a opponite if done right it could decide most battles psyical and mental . These kids were smart but just how many would see the maze for what it really was…….. Saieko , was cursed with these prism eyes that saw right through Gen……

Sai, saw many things that just were not true , including the fact it was snowing …..in the realm …. The kids perceived it to be a frozen tundra…… with huge walls made out of snow moving and revolving around in the maze…….
What the actual setting , was a body part factory….. Snow drifts were just mounds of body parts piled high on top of on another…… giving off a nasty rot and smell that would make one wretch on sight. The ice walls……were huge bone walls shifting and moving across the ground in which looked like stretched leathery human skin….. The snow falling from the sky was nothing but bone powder flakes being distributed at intervals to be worked into the ground. The moister one would feel as they walked in the perceived frozen tundra wasn’t wet snow it was pools of blood that had built up in the stretched skin. In essence the kids were wading through a maze of pure and total grotesqueness. Sai hated the look of this place and hated the illusions even more….

jerichoPCrew_002-large.jpg

Sai, tried to clean herself off as She heard yelling a few corridors over sounded like Hato……. Sai upon hearing this started to dart in that direction…… She was close to part of her class and from the sounds of it they were in pinch or someone was as it sounded paniced , As Sai rounded one of the corridors on the left side weaving in and out of the walls as they tried to hinder her progress towards the sound. She rounded the one more corner and came upon a sight that left her rather speechless……. Seika was Sinking into a what looked like quicksand but rather it wasn’t that at all tit was a sink hole filled with bile and blood with small hands coming up and grasping at her pulling her further into the hole now where that hole went Well….. that was another story entirely that we wont go into…. What happens to you if you get pulled into the blackness in here. Saieko formed a few seals…. And threw a tag out and having it slap smack dab on Seika’s shoulder causing a huge iron coffin surround her and slam shut. Wasting no time at all Saieko used her Magnetize Control and Lifted the whole coffin up and out of the quicksand…..( grasping hands )……. And with a tiger seal ….. released the coffin and held out her hand to the princess…… “Are you okay hun ?” Your lucky I was in the area and heard somone freaking out….. speaking of which Where’s Kenji and your charges ?” Saieko had found one part of her class on the left side but …....little did the teacher know the kids were already going through a ordeal of their own…….

Bullets in the coffin:
• Saieko sees the maze for what it really is…..
• Saieko ignores Vara’s goading
• Sai finds Seika and well her team ?
• The fun begins who and what will happen

Seika's own panicking led to her trying to free herself but only being stuck harder, and her own panicking increased when she saw the only other person that was with her, Tanaka Hato, leave her and running back the way that he came, and her futile struggles seemed to die within her. He just... left her. She couldn't believe that she was now alone here. What she didn't say before, was that she was afraid of this place. The spirit world was different depending on the plane of existence that they were inhabiting at each moment, but there were often hidden parts to it, like here. Seika could feel her body being... well she didn't know how to describe the feelings, just that she didn't like them, she didn't like them one little bit. Seika's eyes flew around the area, hoping for anyone to see her, to hear her cries.

It was with relief that she saw Saieko appear, and that she let herself being rescued by the more experienced woman. “Sai...Saieko thank goodness.”</GLOW><i></i> She said as she gulped down air as she looked at the ground. <GLOW glow="purple">“What is... what is that...” She broke off as she saw Hato charging back towards them. “Welcome back, kiddo.” She said as she looked between the teacher and the student. “Anyway, we separated, there was a corridor.” She rubbed her eyes with the hand that remained free. She felt more violated than she had ever been before. “When Kenji ran up it... the thing seemed to become a mirror, everything duplicated, yet when we tried to do the same... it remained as though it was two separate paths. Hato came with me, Noroi and Akuma took the other. I realised too late that it was what this place wanted to do.” She chuckled sadly. “Kenji... I can only assume that he's actually up the other path with the boys.”

“I was right, this is entertaining.” Seika could hear Yuuki's voice, and she saw the angel appearing before her, however Saieko would be able to perceive her too in this instance. A creature of her spiritual essence, residing in the spiritual realm would always be visible to Saieko's eyes. “A little longer and I would have had to have intervened.” Her eyes moved to Saieko. “She saved me the trouble.” With a giggle she seemed to disappear out of existence again. Seika sent Saieko a look of despair., saying 'do you see what I have to put up with.'

“Akuma, hello.” Rena said sounding embarrassed. “I never saw you there.” She hid behind Arisa, peeking around her, who rolled her eyes.

“She's been waiting for you to come here.” Arisa said as she looked at Ai, who was still fawning over Noroi. “Where is Hato? I thought that he would be with you. I was hoping to see him again.” Arisa said as she grabbed Akuma and drew him over to Noroi. “It's not the same without Hato here. He should some, but you both should play with us.” The three girls looked at each other before they smirked.

“We have so many things to show you, and so many games to play.” The trio pressed in close to the two boys. Ai tugged on Noroi's arm, before attempting to kiss him. Both Akuma and Noroi could feel that something wasn't right, whether they chose to act on their instincts was another matter. Kenji was nowhere to be seen.

“Snow of blood, walls of bone, flesh and stone, this is their home.” The same four lines were chanted over and over again, echoing around this part of the maze. Both Seika's group and Noroi's could hear it, each repetition sounding more sinister than the last. It sounded like Kenji's voice, but not, like it was distorted.

Danforth

"Well...I guess we're following you."

Kagari announced as he followed Danforth in the only direction they could conceivably do. In the direction of the massive sliding walls of glass. It was not like there was much else out here in this frozen tundra. A little girl made her way alongside the 'archaeologist.'

"It's fake, isn't it? Its too big...and shouldn't be moving. It has to be a Genjutsu or something, right?"

"That is the thought,"</B><i></i> Danforth replied, a finger to his chin as he took a thinker's pose. In fact, what he wondered was not if it was a genjutsu as that was an irrelevant fact but rather what the genjutsu did to your mind. That was the question.

"A maze...wonderful. Truly, this is the spirit world. Please tell me that there will be a small man inside who asks us riddles."

Kagari griped. "...Actually yes, there probably is."<i></i> Danforth replied. "But I would not worry about him. He is just a mook,"<i></i> Danforth announced, seemingly unconcerned about the strange and potentially terrible setting. He still needed that volunteer: a volunteer dying while performing a task... tragic, sadly him thrusting the responsibility onto them would be a crime. A travesty really.

"I volunteer. Watch. Diiiiissss... ...PEELL!!"

Azuza declared dramatically as she learend back and headbutted the wall. Her head bounced off the wall like like a melon bouncing off pavement. I was so fake that it was real... The impact would have stunned her if it did not knock her totally unconscious. Danforth sighed as he picked the little girl up with a single hand, it was not a terribly impressive feat considering her diminutive size.

"ARE YOU NUTS? Trying to kill yourself before we even start the mission?"

Shana rebuked the young, dazed student. Danforth shook his head quietly, fair point - fair point.

"Whatever you're voluenterring us for I hope you do plan to tell us some timeframe Mr. Danforth. You were all quiet and mysetrious a few minutes ago and now you seem to be talking again."

"Timeframe? HA! How am I supposed to know WHEN anything is going to happen. Everything is topsy-turvy, time-wimey... How am I supposed to know if everything has not already happened?"<i></i> Danforth exclaimed. He looked through the fogged glass at the spaces beyond. "Going through everything in the order that is has happened and experiencing it as such... where do these kids think they are?"<i></i> He let out a sigh as he looked upward, the little girl still in his arms. "I meant..." He exhaled as he was about to demonstrate with the Azuma something when another volunteer offered to take her place. Probably a more prudent choice to use the not-broken one. He dropped Azuma immediately, as if she was an armful of lumber.

"RIGHT I will help you Danforth what is it."

What momentarily resembled a Glasgow smile spread across his face. "Ah, right..." Danforth paused as he pointed up. "Much like the juggernaut would move through a mountain rather than around it, we cannot try to circumvent continually moving walls. We will get turned around and we lack the durability to simply try to break through. So... either up or down is our best option. The ground is hard, cold and unforgiving but the sky above appears open."<i></i> His hand reached for the front of Shana's shirt and attempted to grab hold. He was stronger than he looked, his grip like a vice he thrust his arm upward, his finger's uncurling at the most terminal point in an attempt to launch the young woman skyward. "THIS!," He announced as he thrust the small girl skyward, attempting to lob her over the walls. He was strong, stronger than he looked considering the height the little girl ascended quite high before she plummeted downward. Illusions have rules and serve as a reality of their own. The basic laws of physics may be altered but there were always rules.

"Where the hell are we?"

<B>"The spirit world... almost, but not really. A world within a world, nothing more than a pocket to protect something precious,"<i></i> Danforth explained. "Apparently there are nefarious individuals who would use the eye to do terrible... terrible harm. Thankfully we have altruists such as myself who have dedicated their lives to this very cause. To find... know and celebrate this awesome artifact."<i></i> Danforth explained without really explaining much if anything at all.

On the other side of the wall Azuza landed safely... well relatively so. The snow was not nearly as plush as it appeared. Only inches of wet, cold squishy stuff that lacked bounce with a frozen earth beneath. But besides the discomfort of landing and her splitting headache that was mostly her own fault unless she landed on her face in which case Danforth could take partial blame. He pointed through the glass, the scene beyond hazy but the girl or at least a barely recognizable impression of her would be enough to tell him/them that his theory was plausible. It was not her of course, rather it was an illusion as the wall was not ice or glass but rather something terrible. The image they say was merely a blur of red and flesh tone raising it arms as a dark shadow engulfed her and then left nothing more than a pool of RED. Danforth cocked his head to the side, the scene was missing something. "I heard no scream,"<i></i> Danforth announced, his brow furrowed as he recovered Azuza from the ground and without warning threw her over the wall as he did Shana. We waited for the thump and awaited the scene. It mimicked the last.

On the other side of the wall:

The found the ground. It was cold, wet and HARD. There was no shadowy apparition there to rip them apart, but there was something there. Something letting out a low chortle that they could barely hear.

"A question... A question we have for you my dears.
What does man love more than life?
Hate more than death or mortal strife?
That which contented men desire,
the poor have, the rich require?
The miser spends, the spendthrift saves,
and all men carry to their graves?"

Kagari snorted a little, after watching the orange haired girl smack her head with full force on the glass like maze, he couldn't help but laugh a little bit. He was trying to contain his laughter as best as he could, but couldn't as he started to chuckle loudly. "Ahhh....I'm sorry, I couldn't help but laugh Azuza." Azuza's actions acutally lightened the mood a little; maybe her little display actually was on purpose, trying to make the group feel a bit mroe at ease. Before Kagari could ask if she was okay, Danforth decided to answer Kagari's questions.

"Timeframe? HA! How am I supposed to know WHEN anything is going to happen. Everything is topsy-turvy, time-wimey... How am I supposed to know if everything has not already happened?" Kagari sighed, 'He's beating around the bush again.' Kagari then noticed Shana had immediately volunteered for the job; hopefully she does more than just a simple headbutt.

What momentarily resembled a Glasgow smile spread across his face. "Ah, right..." Danforth paused as he pointed up. Kagari was dumbfounded at the event. He literally just threw a girl in the air, and pretty far from the looks of it. "How the-You just threw her like a ball!" Kagari tried his best to look for Shana in the air, to see if she landed safely.

Kagari rolled his eyes at the lastt statement, but it did confirm where they were at least. <COLOR color="#0000BF">'I seriously still can't believe we're in the spirit world. I really should have thought what I was getting into.' Kagari sighed as he scratched his head trying to breakdown the recent events. 'I really do wonder where Sai-Sensei and the others are. Also I really want to ask her on how the hell something like this exists right under the school!'

Kagari said in disbelief as he was trying to get his head rapped around the possibility that apperently, girls can fly. "So if you throw me up there, how are you going to get up there?" Kagari asked.

*THUNK* "GWAH!"

Just as rapidly as she thrust her head forwards, it had ricochet painfully back in the opposite direction, complete with her vision suddenly becoming overwhelmed with plenty of stars and nauseous visages. She heard someone yelling at her, and she heard some laughter. But what she was most aware of by far was that her head really, really hurt.

...See, in her mind, she had intended to smash through the 'fake' wall in front of her, kiiiinda picturing it as if she would break through glass, before posing and and bragging about how awesome she is. Not colliding with the wall and collapsing into the ground. "...It's not ice at all..." She mumbled only half-consciously, not even fully realizing that she was at least somewhat successful at seeing the fake world around her for what it really was. The ice walls were gone, and the snow had vanished...but whether she was "successful"...

By the time Azusa's consciousness recovered enough for her to well, perceive and interact with things, it was already her turn to take a shortcut over the fence, not even being given time to 'thank' old Danny for picking her off the ground. "...Damn, Damndamndamnit so much it hurts. Thanks Dan--WAAAAH!" It was nearly too much, and she almost passed out before she even made it over the dirty-white-not-ice wall...

...On the brightside of things, her headache numbed the feeling of the impact with the ground. Had she been fully clear-minded, it would have been less...easily transitioned into. More importantly, the snow seemed to have melted during her brief time being knocked out, instead the ground was...weird. Not soft, but...squishy-ish? "...What the hell even is this...It looks gross..." The priestess-to-be observed as she rose from the 'ground'. Vowing never to fall down in the spirit world again; would be an understatement; just looking at this place was distracting her to the point where she was becoming all-to-aware that there really wasn't any apparent way -back- to the academy grounds. If she were trapped in a disgusting place like this...

...No, she couldn't think of that again. But what she had to think of next wasn't much easier; "...Ugh...Where are you? What was the first part?" Unfortunately, Azusa would struggle with a riddle even when her head was clear, let alone when she had a self-inflicted migraine. So when the voice spoke to her, she looked around aimlessly, edging herself closer to Shana. (...Love more than life...men desire...poor have? There's way too many questions, I'm not good with word problems...) Azusa thought, trying to concentrate intently. Space? The poor had alot of space, and the rich needed it to put their stuff in...Pride? Pride can be loved, hated, and taken to the grave...But Azusa wasn't aware of any ways it could be spent or saved. She also thought content meant you didn't want anything.

By the time Azusa went through several choices, she started forgetting the first line or so. "...Shana? You're good with questions, right? I hate questions like this...and I have a headache, so can't think..." She admitted, avoiding the fact that she couldn't actually come up with anything even if she was fine. Thus, she selflessly passed the honor of answering onto Shana.

Noroi was seriously confused and afraid. He was right next to Akuma, surrounded by the three girls. As Ai pulled him over and kissed him. Noroi's senses just buzzed out. 'What was this feeling?' He thought. A kiss? All this affection was pretty confusing, considering noroi's past. He never really had any signs of significant affection, and now a hug and a kiss? Noroi shook his head a little, a mixture a happiness, confusion, nostalgia, and more emotions.

Noroi looked right next to him at Akuma. He seemed to be on guard too, and more focused. What was going to happen if those girls play their "games"? Would they be eaten? Or would their souls be taken out, devoured, and they would end up empty shells of their former selves. Noroi shuddered at the thought of their possible death or demise. All he did know right now is that those three girls weren't to be trusted.

Kenji's voice soon drifted into the park where noroi and Akuma were. The voice eched repeatedly, outside and in Noroi's head, forming a demented choir. When Noroi looked up, the scene around him seemed to glitch and change. For a few seconds, Noroi could see a bloodied field, the trees turning into piles of corpses, flowers I to bones and skulls covered in blood. Noroi looked at Akuma frantically to see if he could see it too, but he couldn't find Akuma anywhere he looked. Then, the scene flashed back to the park. Noroi wasn't sure if this was in his head, or actually happening. He then saw Akuma, but not his reaction. Every time those four lines Kenji said were repeated, the scene flashed from the park to the bloodied field. Was this a genjutsu? No, genjutsu was different... Noroi could see the three girls, still smiling, their forms still the same, only with their eyes switching from black and red to their normal colors. Suddenly, something cold passed into Noroi. Noroi clutched his head, the bar that was his sanity bending and cracking, near breakage. His scleras flashed black and his irises flashed red. What was happening?? Noroi started to hear other voices in his head, chittering, chattering. Noroi trembled in confusion.

"Wh-what's r-real a-and what's not....?" He asked quietly. His voice was sounding like another being was talking at the same time he was. What was happening?! Noroi shook, trying to get a grasp on what was happening.

Shana was a little nervous at the fact that Azusa smashed her head against the wall, clearly she wasn’t thinking, Shana watched as everyone giggled at her, was Shana intent at all, one of those comments that she usually doesn’t blurt out, even Danforth had a agreed, silly priestess as Shana smiled at her. She wondered if she would have a concussion from this, she should be looked at.

Shana noticed something different once Azusa hit her head against the ice wall, wasn’t exactly that, it was like a mellow mold, but she kept her comments to herself and watched on listening. Shana watched as Azusa had volunteered he had her in his arms when I also offered. She felt Danfoth grab ahold of her shirt and he pointed up looking at the walls and everything surrounding us, Shana knew this wasn’t going to be the best thing in the world. Shana looked up and saw the GIANT wall and clear skies as it would seem, with Kagari asking different questions was saving Shana time, from what she was about to come, feeling the butterflies in her tummy, "thinking why did she offer to volunteer"...........................

Seconds later Shana hadn't even finished her thought and she was being thrown into the air, she let out "SCCREEEAAAMMMMMMMM" as she was flying up felt like she was going up forever, the setting of the air changed and she was falling back down but she was over the wall, flailing her hands and kicking her feet as she looked down heart was racing " Immmm going to Die" she screamed.. Shana had landed on the other side of the wall, she landed on her feet, but it was a not snow she landed on though it was hard like a jello mold, she wasn't sure, but she looked around to see if anything was a place marker.

She wondered how the rest of them would get over this wall if Danforth had thrown the two of us that still left Kagari and Danforth. She wondered if she could find a way to help them. She paused and looked around to see there was something that could work. While moving aorund searching she thought where was Sensei and the other group, hopefully they managed to find another way around and get into the maze easily than we did!. Shana heard screaming coming and the next thing she saw was Azusa coming down. She fell and landed..

Shana ran over as she saw Azusa land. Are you ok Azusa?, Shana asked softly, with a twinkle in her eye. Shana looked to the side and she could see Danforth and Kagari through this part of the wall. She pointed with thumbs up that they were ok. Kagari looked disgusted and not impressed what so ever. Shana could hear something. Azusa do you hear that?

Shana and Azusa tried to figure out the riddle as it would seem together.

Shana? You're good with questions, right? I hate questions like this...and I have a headache, so can't think..."
Normally Shana was pretty good with things like this, would take her sometime to figure them out as she picked each part inch by inch, she stood there and listened again and again. Well Azusa how about we listen together and see if we can put the whole thing together, the mutter of sounds finally all came together Shana always picked things apart everything has a meaning or a sign for something.

"A question... A question we have for you my dears.
What does man love more than life?
Hate more than death or mortal strife?
That which contented men desire,
the poor have, the rich require?
The miser spends, the spendthrift saves,
and all men carry to their graves?"

So these questions Shana thought are a piece we need to put together is this to help Danforth and Kagari get over to us? She thought and wondered..
Shana started to put together what she thought was a a riddle but in all means was it the spirit world playing with us, and each part is for one person or leads to one person's life? These were all questions that she came up with in her own mind.
Azusa Shana blurted out, we need to work together and try to figure this out I know you have a extreme headache but I need your help. The two of them started working, looking up and barely now seeing the two men on the other side..

Shana knew something wasn’t right, she saw the look of this wall before but subconsciously she couldn’t remember where she knew it from, she would figure it out sooner or later...

“Akuma, hello.” Rena said sounding embarrassed. “I never saw you there. “Tch of course you didn't” Akuma replied as he watched Ai fawn over Noroi. “I never saw you as the ladies man type Noroi. I guess you do learn something new every day." Akuma mused as he watched his teammate get showered with affection. Based on Noroi’s confused facial expression Akuma could tell he was not used to such affection and did not know what to do. Akuma was about to walk to his teammates side just in case the strange yet beautiful girl attached to his arm tried to do something. But before he had the chance he saw the girl dubbed as Arisa advance towards him.

“She's been waiting for you to come here.” Arisa said as she looked at Ai, who was still fawning over Noroi. “Where is Hato? I thought that he would be with you. I was hoping to see him again.” Arisa said as she grabbed Akuma and drew him over to Noroi. “Hey let go of me!" Akuma exclaimed as he was dragged over to his teammate. When Arisa reached Norio Akuma wrenched his arm away from her grip and retreated to the side of Norio that Ai was not on. “I didn't need you to drag me I could have done it myself.” Akuma huffed as he dusted himself off. “ And obvisouly Hato isn’t here with us at the moment.”

“It's not the same without Hato here. He should some, but you both should play with us.” Akuma watched as the three girls sent each other a look before they at each other smirked. Akuma shivered ‘this is where everything begins to go down hill.’
We have so many things to show you, and so many games to play.” The trio then began to close in one the boys s. Ai tugged on Noroi's arm, before she kissed him.
“Snow of blood, walls of bone, flesh and stone, this is their home.” The same four lines were chanted over and over again, echoing around the maze. The chant caused to freeze in fear.. He couldn’t move any part of his body, only thing his body allowed him to do was stand there and watch as the girls continued to chant. Using all of his will power Akuma managed to break out of the trance, brought out a kunai. “ What the hell was that?” Akuma wondere" Something is not right here and it has to do with those three."

The Imperfect

”GUYS!! GUYS!! WHERE ARE YOU!! I NEED YOUR HEL- The last words stuck in his throat as he found himself looking down a hallway with Saieko-sensei and Seika-sensei. His feet dug into the ground as he slid in an almost comical manner. He quickly glanced behind himself, the path… that he had just come from? It lead him back here where both Seika and Seiko were. No! I couldn’t be true it had to be a trick! Hato took a step back. Welcome back kiddo. Hato took a step back. Something was wrong. An eerie chanting began to ring in his ears. His eyes popped open wide. Had he been tricked? This chanting was like a genjutsu! When had he fallen for the technique? How far had he run from the REAL Seika-sensei? MAybe thats what that quicksand was from earlier! It was a genjutsu! Or something… he needed to run back and warn her somehow! Hato’s slow back pedalling turned into a sprint as he ran back down the path he had come from. His ears rung with the strange chant of the crazy fellow who was supposedly their guide in this place. Some guide he had been. He had ditched them the first chance he had gotten. But why did he have to be so fat? He was already exhausted from his first sprint, and now he was trying to make it back to where he was before. The air seemed to escape his lungs, and the young man collapsed to the ground, wheezing hard, and holding his sides.

He leaned against the wall as he gasped for air and looked down both paths. Alone now. Dang. He had just wanted to get help for Seika-sensei. He curled his legs up against his chest and began to sob in silence.. Alone in the maze. Is this what being a shinobi was like? So what if you could kick everyone’s ass! This was terrible! No wonder they were such bullies! EVer since he started this path, nothing but bad things had happened to him. He began to wish a lot of things. Terrible things. ‘If only I hadn’t been born.’ He thought. ‘If only I didn’t exist.’ He burried his face into his knees.’I wish I hadn’t been born. I wish I didn’t exist. I wish there weren’t any ninjas, or bullies. I wish my little brother and grandpa were still alive. I wish that the cabal didn’t come here! I WISH I WERE DEAD!!! I WISH I WERE DEAD! I WISH I WERE DEAD!!!!! Because anything.... anything would be better than this. Anything!

  • Hato Panics
  • Hato leaves Seika and Saieko
  • Hato tries to run back down the path
  • Hato gets lost in the maze and begins to cry quietly to himself.

Saieko watched as Seika started to retell her version of what happened and what had lead up to the sticky situation that befell her and her team, as she did a another entity appeared talking about how she was thankful for seika being saved. This women was hawtey and refined in a sense of the word only. Saieko didn’t need to look at Seika to understand exactly who that was ……she had heard the same words Seika had and even saw her. Angels are regarded as beings of light and good but what most people don’t realize is not every angel , is a becon of light most are mischievous and bored. Sai let out a long exasperated sigh after seeing the women. Great not only did she have a demon that loved to be her own personal peanut gallery but now she had a angel masquerading as a Pixie or trickster to add to the gallery of one liners. Saieko wasn’t fond of mischievous spirits or beings. She rather hated how they played human emotions upon each other and against each other. Saieko could only muster a forced smile to the girl as she popped in and said her peace. Sai helped up Seika to her feet and looked around at the maze as it was changing.

Saieko was looking for a sign that her students were near by, anything could happen in this maze. She believed in her students to do the right thing but temptation could be any person’s downfall . All the spirits had to do was seprate them and pile on the right circumstances and boom, one way ticket to the afterlife. Saieko kept her ears and eyes peeled for any sign of the boys. After a short bit hearing nothing Saieko grabbed a hold of Seika ‘s hand and pulled her down a corridor where she heard a faint sobbing, after a small bit Sai found Hato he was crying and lost and looked like he had seen better days . Hey there you are……!!!!! Kneeling down saieko put her hands on his shoulder and put her arms around him letting him sob in her arms. This place was unforgiving the mere fact hato was crying alone out of the way of any harm was a small mircle in and of itself. She just sat there with him letting him cry and looking up at Seika…. “So did you by chance see the other two boys im getting kind of worried about one of them. See one of the things that worried me the most about this group wasn’t Hato or Akuma it was the last boy in this group he has a wild side to him and well lets just say that I pity the entity that decides to mess with him. “ Hato and akuma can control their emotions Noroi however cannot control his rage which can and might be a problem.” “There is a old saying that goes where a berserker goes and passes only bodies lie in his or her wake .” Sai gave seika a worried look and produced a small kerchief for hato to dry up with. Looking around the maze had walled the young boy in and then gave him a dead end literally and mentally, That was not right but the maze plays to your weaknesses not your strengths. Saieko had just about enough of the walls slamming shut around her all the time if that was the game they were playing Sai had a sure fire way to speed things up for Seika’s group. Planting her feet in the ground taking a OX stance her hands rapidly sealed away multiple seals , placing her hands in front of her she stepped forward and slammed her foot down just in front of her sending a tremor Magnatude {master rank) out rippling away at the ground causing the ground to shake and bow and crumble and fall away, the trail ran right up to the wall itself and with a groan the tremor climbed up the wall that was blocking them and with a bunch of dust came crumbling down in front of them, nothing but dust clouded there vision. It was so thick and stale that it would cause one to hack and cough, Sai took a small piece of her shirt and rose it up to her face to make sure she didn’t breathe it in. No telling what this place would do it it suddenly lost a limb or appendage.

Sai could only hope that they were getting closer to where the other two might be. She also wondered how kagari was fairing with Danforth and the girls….. this was another problem that weighed on the young teachers mind was how the other group would fair as well, if it was anything like this group she thought it might be best if she tried to make her way over to the right of the maze to meet up with them. For now one could only hope that they had enough common sense between the three of them to not fall for any tricks or split up like this group had done. As she thought that , a cool voice spoke again this time rasping at her mind like someone crawling on the ground grasping at the heels of its prey. Sai spat on the ground and her face scrunched up as a bitter taste suddenly just entered her mouth. This demon was starting to become a real hassle today making a mental note in her head to kick the living shit out of that demon sealed away if she came across her again in here made Sai’s face get back to normal as she listened to the demon as she spoke. You girly no nothing of what is to come, I will say this thoe…. “That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die.” And with a hideous cackle the demon lay silent again.

OOC: Sorry, I was away all this weekend and I thought that I'd have time to post, but RL comes first. Anyway with everything happening this week I'm sorry but I'm going to have to pull out. I'll edit when I've completed the post.

Seika followed Saieko's well executed punches, and prayed that they would take them towards the two others. Now that she knew about Noroi's mental problems, she realised that splitting up was a bad idea. Maybe the kids would be better off without her and left in Danforth and Saieko's care. It seemed that she was just getting in their way. Who knows where Kenji had disappeared off too either.

“This is no fun any more.” Seika heard Yuuki say as she materialised in front of the Toraono princess. “I thought that you'd give me something suitable to watch for once when I was freed, but I see that you're still the same boring girl when we first met all those years ago.” She looked at Saieko and Hato. “I'm sorry, but I'm taking her out of here. She isn't ready for being here, even if she should be.”

The next thing that Seika saw was back in the old abandoned shrine, staring into the looking glass as it were. 'Back where you belong, I suggest you leave before it grabs you again.' Yuuki said, sounding almost disappointed. 'Pity you were such a wimp about that place.'

The three girls grinned at each other. They really could play with these boys. “Let's play hide and seek.” Rena suggested with a small giggle. “You boys hide, and we will find you.”

“We will give you a good length of time, how does a minute sound?” The other girls said in unison. “You'll have fun we know that we will.”

Danforth

"Well...thats encouraging...."

"So if you throw me up there, how are you going to get up there?"

Danforth made a half-grin in response to Kagari's inquiry. It was a logical one, yes one of basic logic that would and should make sense if they were in the situation that they thought they were in. "I would not worry too much about me,"</B><i></i> Danforth replied cryptically. "Are you ready to fly?" He nodded to the wall of 'glass' and extended his arm. For an older, lanky science type he was rather strong it would seem and very interested in making sure that the children made it to the other side of the wall.

There was something off about Danforth and it would appear that only Kagari seemed to truly take note. "Tsk... Such a troublesome young man," Danforth announced. <B>"No matter, those kids are as good as dead and they have already attracted the sentinels. Anything of use always requires a sacrifice."<i></i>

On the other side of the wall, Azuza and Shana had something to deal with on their own. A riddle. It repeated the rhyme once again.

"A question... A question we have for you my dears.
This will alleviate all your fears...
What does man love more than life?
Hate more than death or mortal strife?
That which contented men desire,
the poor have, the rich require?
The miser spends, the spendthrift saves,
and all men carry to their graves?"

Adding another stanza.

"What is more dastardly and flawed,
than the devil or more powerful than a God?
If you ate this you would die.
If only this could hurt you, you would never cry.
If this was all that filled an empty space,
it would be a lonesome place.
This was our question... our question my dears,
answer us and we can alleviate your fears."

From the ground came a creature, contorted and awful. With twisted limbs and curled fingers. The flesh covers in boils and leaking pustules, chunks of flesh dripped off this monster. With the face of a beast, with yellowed and broken teeth it leered at the two young women. Saliva came from its mouth in thin long strands. It repeated the riddle again, but its blood-red eyes seemed to take on a threatening glow. While it was not said, it could be easily inferred that it was getting hungry. Play the game and live or fail and die.

OOC: Sorry For the late response! Finals week :p

"I would not worry too much about me," Danforth replied cryptically. "Are you ready to fly?" He nodded to the wall of 'glass' and extended his arm. For an older, lanky science type he was rather strong it would seem and very interested in making sure that the children made it to the other side of the wall.

Kagari was instantly hurled through the sky before Kagari could actually react. "WAAAAAAAAAH!" Kagari screamed as he felt like a ball being thrown to it's reciever, in this case on top of the glass like structure. He had a hard time trying to adjust the his body midair, flaling his arms and legs as he was bracing himself for the impact. He could see two bright red targets, which he assumed were Azuza and Shana respectively. "WATCH OUT BELOOOOW!" Kagari alerted the two as he rapidly closing in on them. He had tried to do that body roll the academy had taught him on what you were supposed to do when landing from a distance. It didn't work as planned.

He landed on his back, thankfully not breaking his spinal chord in his neck. It still hurt like shit though. "owwww...Why is it that we were teamed up with him...?" Kagari was stretched on the roof of the glass structure, trying to move his limbs as slowly as he could; to see if he broke anything. He slowly got up, noticing that Shana and Azuza were focused on something else entirely. A voice out of nowhere startled Kagari; repeating a crypic rhyme.

"A question... A question we have for you my dears.
This will alleviate all your fears...
What does man love more than life?
Hate more than death or mortal strife?
That which contented men desire,
the poor have, the rich require?
The miser spends, the spendthrift saves,

If this was all that filled an empty space,
it would be a lonesome place.
This was our question... our question my dears,
answer us and we can alleviate your fears."
<i>
</i>

'So...there is a cryptic riddle...' Kagari thought to himself. 'Dastardly....flawed...more powerful than a god...?' Kagari kept pondering on the words that was being spoken. 'What do they mean by alleviate our fears? Is this our way out?' Kagari questioned again to himself. Kagari was disturbed from his focus when he fel the ground shake as a twisted figure came out of it. An actual monster...who looked to eye the two girls rather than him. 'Shit! I need to solve this riddle fast before that thing kills the girls!' Kagari was starting to panic. 'Think Kagari! Think! God, I've got nothing!' Kagari then came to a realization, 'WAIT!' Kagari then got up quickly staring at the wall where the two girls were.

"THE ANSWER IS NOTHING!" Kagari yelled as loud as he could.<i></i>
