Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

And so the quadra of humans would make their way into the country side of lightning. Passing town after town, occasionally stopping off to get a goods nights rest before continuing onward. They took what trains they needed to so that their destination would be closer, but without an international train, it was hard trying to find lines that actually took them closer to fire country than across lightning country. Of course, they had to move through other foreign nations as well, but life went on, and they dealt with it as best they could. They would soon reach the border of Fire country. Perhaps it was a good time to stop and think about what situations they might encounter, or maybe just trudging forward was the best course of action at this stage. However, no matter the decision made, Sumiko what chatty as usual and often took time to speak with all of them about their lives as shinobi and what it was like; her natural curiosity was abundant, especially for a young adult like her.

Not a whole lot went on in the first portion of our trip. As long as we remained in the lightning country, there wasn't any real threats... other than my ear being talked off, but that was fine. I tried to make what conversation I could, to not give off such a hostile attitude, but the fact remained that she did talk a lot. Ren's rolls were finished off fairly quickly, I should add... I probably ate a few more than my share... hehe...

Anyways, I took up conversation with the other two escorts, when the lady wasn't talking. I made sure to insert my abilities when a conversation about our different styles came up. I told them that I was a lightning user, with enough of a grasp on ninjutsu to start dabbling in perception of time… not quite manipulating time, but just about as close as it gets. I also made sure that they knew I was a Jinchuuriki… that was something they needed to know, since it was an important thing to know about your teammate. I never went into detail about Youko, but they at least knew that I had certain skills that they would need to be aware of. Anyways, like I said earlier, it was still a pretty dull beginning.

They were nearing Fire Country now. Lightning country was home. Familiar. Safe. Well, maybe not COMPLETELY safe, but at the very least they knew where the safe parts were and what parts to avoid. Fire country was foreign. Mysterious. They'd have to be careful. Always vigilant.

Well, at least when they weren't staring at Sumiko.

Asuchi had done pretty well, maintaining his habit of almost subconsciously scanning his surroundings. He'd occasionally glance at the woman, but overall he managed to not stare at her too awful much. At least, he hoped so.

She was certainly chatty, that was for sure. She seemed unusually interested in shinobi life. Whether part of her personality or some ulterior motive, Asuchi could not say, so he guarded his answers. On the surface he was friendly enough, carrying on a conversation as a normal person would. But he was careful not to let slip any secrets. She WAS going to Konoha after all. Wouldn't do well to let anyone there know too much.

As they got closer to the border a conversation cropped up about their various abilities and combat styles. Once again, Asuchi still wasn't sure of Sumiko, so he picked and chose his answers carefully. Then again, he didn't really have any sort of combat style to speak of. He had no major affinities, whatever that meant, and no minor ones either. He didn't specialize in any sort of combat, although from the jutsu he knew you would probably surmise that he fought up close and personal. He had his bloodline, although he didn't like to talk about that much. He felt it worked better as a surprise in combat. No kinjutsu either. Asuchi felt he should get a solid grasp of the permitted jutsu before he worked on the forbidden ones, even if they were now legal in Cloud due to their lovely Medical Sennin, Kushin.

Kosei (he had long since learned who was who in the time of the journey), among other things, revealed that he was a Jinchuuriki. Asuchi, while not particularly caring about any Kinjutsu at this point in time, prided himself on his accumulation of knowledge, and that of Kinjutsu was included somewhat in this as well. He knew what a Jinchuuriki was, a human host for a demon. He also knew that the kinjutsu usually resulted in a power struggle between the two. Kosei seemed to have his under control though, so that was good.

With their small strategic talk out of the way, Asuchi smiled at the team and Sumiko. ”Alright, just remember to be on our guard when we get to Fire Country. Should be uneventful, but I personally have never been out of Lightning Country so we don't know what could happen.”

And with that small warning out of the way, Asuchi felt they were prepared for whatever Fire Country could throw at them.

OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we should use group running here, in which case it'd be C-Rank since that's what Ren is. So...

Fire Country, weird. I never though I could leaving the country, Especially not as a Genin. The butterflies flew around in my stomach I wasn’t actually ready to leave the Country. It’s really ridiculous I was nervous. Since when do things me nervous?

I let my mind wander for a while, until someone asked for another roll and I reached into the basket and it was empty. My face formed a confused frown. I don’t like running out of rolls. I decided I’d pick up a conversation with Sumiko, it lasted a really long time and we both learned nothing about each other, how curious. She talks and doesn’t actually say much. On the Brightside the meaningless conversation was just time I had an excuse to stare at her. She seriously distracted me; step one of having her fall deeply in love with me was already complete, I baked for her.

On another note Kosei wanted to talk some strategy we learned he is a Lightning User and a Jinchuuriki, he seemed in control of the beast inside of him though, that is always good when dealing with Jinchu’s. Asuchi didn’t put himself with any element or style. He seemed to know some of everything with I respected. Guess it’s my turn, I’m a Gen/Tai user. Basically said that was true. Nothing very special about it but that combination can be deadly. We were nearing the Fire Country and Asuchi let out a warning for us. I glanced over and Sumiko, I’d miss her once we dropped her off. The journey back would be silent without her.
