Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been a bit of a travel, having to go quite a bit slower in order to match pace with the two genin he had brought along, but Raku, Kikei and Hoshi had managed to make their way to Port Cirrus from Kumogakure in relatively decent time. It had honestly been some time since Raku had last set foot in the Port, but he had been here long enough to have visited the Inn in the past. As such it wouldn't be too difficult for them to make their way there to meet up with the party of Konoha shinobi to continue their mission. Port Cirrus was quite a big place filled with many people, stores, kiosks, markets and more. It was certainly one of the biggest trading ports of the known world, and many people came through here all the time, so it would be tough for them to find the Konoha shinobi had the message they sent not told them to meet at the inn; hopefully they would be there.

As they arrived in town, Raku came to a stop, looking around at all the busy people doing their own thing, as he awaited the genin following him to stop as well, turning his head back to see both of them before looking ahead once more and taking in a deep breath of the slightly more stale air in the bustling city. "Well this is it, you two. Port Cirrus." he said, extending his arms forward, unsure if either of them had been here before, but assuming they hadn't as they were only pretty fresh Genin. "First we need to head to the Inn, as that's where we were told to meet up with the Konoha group." he continued, explaining their current situation to the both of them, taking a step forward as he finished, beginning to walk towards the Inn; at least the direction that Raku remembered the Inn. The noise of people walking by, and in shops and markets around were quite loud, filling the air as they walked through the streets of the main part of town.

A little while later, the three had arrived at the major Inn of Port Cirrus, as Raku smirked, walking up to the door, the two genin in tow, as he opened it, stepping inside, dressed clearly as a shinobi in his dark grey vest, black shirt underneath with Kumo headband around his arm showing his village to all, two swords attached to the belt around his waist which held up his plain grey pants in which had had his hand place inside his pocket, his other hand reaching up to move his orange hair out of the way of his face, the wind having blown it around a little on their travels and in town, finally inside away from it, before placing his free hand inside his other pocket as they stepped inside, looking around, seeing if he could spot any other shinobi. The most likely scenario was that the Konoha shinobi were out and about, as the day had already begun a few hours ago, so they'd probably check back in at some point, so Raku walked up to the Inn Keeper to talk to him as he would know better about the situation of those they were supposed to meet.

"We're shinobi from Kumogakure, and we're here to meet up with a group of Konoha Shinobi who are apparently staying here currently, so if you could let them know we're here if they're still here, or tell them we're here when they get back, that would be great, so for now, we'll just be over there." Raku told the man behind the desk, as he pointed towards the dining area of the Inn off to the side where the three of them could sit down and wait for the other group, maybe grab a bite to eat if they were hungry or wanted a snack.

Raku wasn't aware of whether or not the Leaf nin had been open about who they were to the Inn Keeper or not, but either way, he was sure it wouldn't be hard for him to figure out who Raku was talking about as he walked away, beckoning the two genin to follow him as he walked over to a table and took a seat across from the other two. "And now we wait." he said. "Feel free to order a snack or some food, or eat your own if you brought anything while we do." he finished, as he leaned back in his seat, trying to get a little relaxed after their travels to the city.

Shouyu traveled, to the right about four to five steps behind his sensei. His eyes work would wander left to right easily admiring the new scenes quickly as they moved along. He could be seen slightly sweating trying to keep up and maintain his pace. Kikei wasn't too far behind either, his blood began rushing from excitement. They soon reached the Port which was in view.

They reached the port with Raku announcing their arrival and Shouyu looked around embracing the scenery and lifestyle of the port, he'd give a, "Wooow," in response before Raku started leading the way and the Genin followed with his feet though his eyes wandered everywhere.

They reached the inn, he walked in after Raku rather casually, his apron and long loose ponytail flailing in the breeze, he only had his ninjato strapped to his back vertically and hidden cloud headband across his forehead, he followed Raku to the front desk and allowed him to do the talking. He just absorbed his environment looking around. And then Raku lead them to a place to sit and relax until the leaf's arrival. Shouyu followed and took a seat.

"Something seems oddly familiar about this port, like I have been here before but can't put my finger on it. As far as the food I will be fine for now sensei. I ate some rations on the way here, but boy, this place sure is... amazing, what a sight to see! Kikei, what do you think?"

He would look over to her curiously and back to Raku, he grew more excited but remained nonchalant and let his eyes wander some more.

A breeze of saltwater air hit the young girls face as they reached the port her eyes gazed upon the magnitude of the area in amazement. This was after all her first visit to the port and would probably be one of the few times she would ever need to travel, at least that is what she believed but the life of a shinobi was sure to bring her to many new and even more distant lands in her life.

“It’s huge! I wasn’t expecting this large of a place.” She told her leader as they walked the streets, passing many a stall that she was so very tempted to stop and check their wares but was too afraid to lose her group. Mind you she stood out compared to many of the other travelers but her team seemed to almost blend in seamlessly.

Upon arriving at the inn she slowly gazed around almost in a daze, she was pretty worn out from the travel but not because of the walking but because the whole way over was excruciatingly boring for her since nobody seemed to say anything. Though she perked up upon hearing she could order anything she wanted to snack which was by far the best thing she had heard all day, having skipped breakfast and only a ration that tasted like crap in her stomach she was over joyed.

“I would love some fresh fish it has to be amazing here since we are so close to the water!” She screeched out in excitement as she looked her leader in the face with a smile from ear to ear. Her stomach growled in anticipation as her mind raced over just what kind of fish she would order.

“Oh! Sorry, kohai I totally ignored you there for a second. I think it is also so amazing it’s incredible how large and full of life this whole place is.” She said happily as she turned her attention towards Hoshi before turning towards the door wondering just how long they had before their mission’s targets would arrive or make them known. ‘Sure hope we have enough time for me to enjoy a nice tasty meal before they get here and if they do show up early that Raku and them need to discuss before we take off.’ She thought as she called over a waitress to place her order.

It only took him a few days time to adapt to the brisk weather of the northlands. After his hunting trip into the mountains the day before, the chilling winds of Port Cirrus felt like just another spring day. This morning, Kaji was seated outside of the inn on a sealed barrel. He seemed rather lax, had a steaming mug of coffee in one hand, and was peeling the pages of a leather bound dossier in his lap, with one leg crossed over. He donned his traveling cloak made from a black bear’s pelt today and wore earth-toned cold weather apparel underneath. Kaji was in the company of the six-armed bard who played at the inn the nights before. The musical wonder was back at work with a flute, drums, and lute. She played outside during the day for tips and had a large tip jar lying on the pavement. With every song she played, Kaji would toss another gold yen piece into her tip jar.

Not a lot of new check-ins arrived at the Inn during the last two mornings of the Leaf companions’ visit. So when the three Hidden Cloud shinobi entered through the doorway, Kaji was certain that the guide party had arrived at their destination. Kaji parted ways with a few more gold pieces in the bard’s jar for good measure and followed the three shinobi into the inn.

As Kaji entered the hall behind the three shinobi, a breeze of the cold wind would whip at their backs once more, briefly robbing them of the comfort the inn’s fiery hearths provided, before closing once more. Kaji was a tall and firmly designed gentleman, who strode towards the cloud ninja confidently. The light of the fires reflected off of the pewter pendant of The Hidden Leaf on his cloak, just as they beamed off of the sheathed blade hanging at his waist; Eelspine. He slid into the place in time to hear Raku’s greeting.

“Well met, Cloud shinobi” Kaji greeted the new acquaintances as he took several paces around them, and placed his empty coffee mug on the bar at the end of the hall. “Thanks for making your way out here for us. Come on over here and have a have a round, on me.” Kaji took a seat at the bar and ordered his second coffee of the morning. He drummed his hand on the oak wood a few times, perhaps feeling a bit energized by brew. He made a nice wage of yen from selling the Giant Spider venoms he extracted the day before and was enjoying the spare funds. “My name is Okada Kaji, and I’m the Leaf shinobi who sent for you.”

- Kaji has entered the thread.

Having caved in the unspoken but obviously wanted whims of Sara, Umashi upgraded to two separate rooms the previous day. It was against his better judgement to split the team but the last thing that he wanted to do was tick off the very people that he expected to save his life if things hit the fan. Very much not an early morning person, Umashi opened one eye, and then two as he annoyingly looked at the door. The question was answered with another knock at the door to which Umashi forced himself up as he looked around for Mr. “Top of the morning!” himself, aka Kaji. Obviously not seeing him, Umashi rolled out of the bed and sleepily answered the door.

Rubbing his eyes as he heard the message about some Kumo shinobi asking to meet him, Umashi nodded to the inn person and managed to wait until the door was closed before he gave an annoyed sigh. Didn’t Kaji tell them that he wasn’t a morning person? Going to the bathroom he looked in the mirror at the sight that he was this morning. Turning his head to the right and to the left he saw that he probably would need a shave soon. His earthy skin tone allowed him to hide most shaving needs but considering that he hadn’t had a haircut in what felt like forever. He figured that he’d soon need to handle that as well. Grabbing his toothbrush, Umashi started on his morning grooming routine, and by the time that he walked out of the bathroom fresh and clean, he was feeling a bit less grumpy.

Throwing on a fresh long-sleeved gi and a durable but comfortable black cloak, Umashi threw a, thankfully fresh, towel at the newest medic-nin and urged him to make the best use of his 15 minutes before he would be left behind. Lying of course, Umashi allowed himself just that bit more of fun at the expense of others before he’d have to go into full business mode. People typically didn’t think highly of an overly comical leader. Making his way to the great hall that served as the central hub of activity for the inn, Umashi stopped first to order his tea, toast and oatmeal before making his way to the assembled group.
“Good morning folks! The name’s Umashi and it’s a pleasure to meet you all.” Still not able to get the sleep quite out of his eyes, when Umashi’s breakfast was brought to him he requested a local highly caffeinated beverage and drank it all in one gulp before feeling energized enough to continue on with the meet and greet.

It didn't take long before their group was approached by a man who seemed to be interested in them, Raku quickly becoming aware that this was one of the Leaf Shinobi, who had probably been around and seen them come in with how quickly he had moved to talk to them. He walked towards the bar that wasn't far from where they had been seated, as such, Raku stood up from his chair and looked down at the two genin across the table from him, "You two just sit here for a moment while I go over there and talk. I'll call you over in a bit." he told them, with a slight smile, trying to keep this as simple as possible and then walked over towards the man as he continued to speak, announcing who he was to them; the one who had sent the letter. As he walked towards the man, Raku gave a quick glance at him, taking in his appearance and trying to assess the situation to himself without seeming outwardly suspicious. Even though Raku believed this was a peaceful meeting as they had requested the guide, knowing if they had ill intentions, it would have been much easier for them to make their way to Kumo without a guide to cause trouble, but one could never be fully sure of another's true intentions. The feeling he got was that this situation was safe enough, especially with all the people around.

As Raku stood near the man who identified himself as Okada Kaji, he stuck out his hand towards him, offering a handshake, as was custom for Raku, having grown up in the Water country, he was brought up with a certain set of manners, one of which being a handshake when introducing yourself to another shinobi as a form of respect, or at least to portray the appearance of respect, "Takuya Raku. Leader of this little guide group you requested. And those two are the genin assigned to come out here with me" he said nodding over to the two sitting at the table he was just out, keeping his hand out waiting for Kaji to either return it or decide not to. Either way, he would return his hand to his pocket after the exchange, and sit down beside him at the bar, "I'll skip the drink for now. It's a little early for my tastes." he replied with chuckle and a smirk on his face looking towards Kaji as they sat there, "Hopefully we'll be able to guide you properly and help out with anything else you need along the way." Raku said to him, wondering if there was more to this than just wanting someone to guide them through the country to Kumogakure.

It had only been a few minutes since they arrived, and Raku and Kaji had just began speaking when another man approached them, and giving a greeting and introducing himself, Umashi. Raku realized as soon as he heard the name that he was now in the presence of the Hokage, at least that's what he believed from the letter and instructions he received. It certainly wasn't every day that most people were in the presence of a kage, let alone one from another country, so this was definitely an interesting situation for Raku. What kind of man was he, to be Hokage, was he strong, or just a good leader, or something more? Though a Kage position wasn't of interest to Raku, he had always been curious about the type of people who did take up such positions, and those who strove to obtain such a position. Turning to face the man, Raku stood up from his seat, and faced Umashi, sticking his hand out once again, "Takuya Raku, leader of the guide group along with those two genin at the table" he said, essentially repeating his introduction, keeping his hand out for the handshake, trying to get a read on these Konoha Shinobi, what kind of people they were, what kind of mannerisms they held and what they were like. It had been a long time since he had met a shinobi from Konoha. Again, he would return his hand to his pocket after the exchange, feeling like he wouldn't need to introduce himself the same way anymore as he had done so to the highest rank among them. As such, Raku awaited further conversation before speaking further.

They were approached by what appeared to be a Konoha Shinobi shortly after sitting down and getting comfortable. Shouyu just looked at the man slightly amazed without a word. Raku was quick to introduce himself, telling him and Kikei to remain seated, guess she would have time to eat. He figured he should too as Raku walked off to the bar with the man. He could hear lightly, the first man's name was Kaji, Kaji of the Leaf.

And then another man approached the two at the bar, he could see Raku gesturing toward the Genin with his introduction again. Shouyu just looked from afar with wide eyes while a waitress came to adress the two for whatever they needed. Shouyu didn't look at the woman but held a finger up to say wait. He was in awe being in the presence of foreign Shinobi. Maybe, they would find some time to train him and he could learn from the Konoha Shinobi!

"Shhh shhh shhh Kikei! The leaf ninja have arrived!"

He said this with excitement but still kept his voice relatively low to my stir up extra attention or anything. But just sitting here by himself with Kikei was making the kid restless and he wondered if just a bunch of adults would be coming with them to visit Kumo. He finally turned to the waiter.

"Please miss, whatever beef and veggie plate you have, over rice with a black tea please? I am sorry for the delay to order."

Slowly, his eyes would return to eying Raku and the Konoha Shinobi. Shouyu didn't know if they were to keep this meeting between themselves but decided not to share any info of his personal information and reasons why he was here. Again, he would turn to nonchalant look and lean back casually into his chair.

Kikei watched as the strange man made himself known to the group, in all honesty she had kind of figured something like this would happen. She let out of soft sigh thinking she wouldn’t be able to order her meal like she wanted until he asked to speak with them. ‘Yes have a nice talk over a meal everything will work out perfectly.’ She thought to herself as she readied to move until Raku told them to stay put like some children. ‘Ugh I’m not a child anymore I’m 13! I should be able to handle whatever conversation they are having. Especially now that I’m a ninja!’ She growled lightly as her mind raced with thoughts that screamed resentment. Then she was told to quiet down by her kohai, which was honestly not something she wanted to hear from him.

“So what if I talk Kohai, apparently their conversation isn’t for our ears as it is or we would all be seated here at the same table.” She snapped at his remark completely ignoring the arrival of the second leaf shinobi as if he wasn’t anything but some low life to her now.

“I’ll have the specialty of the inn if it is fish, if not then I would like a fillet of your freshest fish served on a bed of fried rice. To drink I’ll take a coffee with creamer and two scoops of sugar.” She stated her order in the best fake cheerful mood she could muster, seeing as she was already frustrated by the whole situation.

“Also you should address me properly, seeing as our wager last night assured my rank over you.” She stated as she turned towards Hoshi with a glare that could kill. ‘Does he think just because I was embarrassed about last night that he can’t be held to his word? No honor it seems in this one if he doesn’t respect the bet.’ She thought as she stared him down hard.

The cloud bunch seemed alright at first glance. He and his Leaf mates were in luck for all Kaji knew, as the guides sent by the Cloud were ok folk, and hopefully, their village would be just as hospitable. Kaji and Umashi were first to mingle with them, but Tatsuo and Sara were still lost around the inn, no doubt still fast asleep or already in some shenanigans.

The leader of the Cloud group was the only one who’d join Kaji at the bar. His young companions were sent off to a kiddie table, and it seemed as though Raku took Kaji’s welcome to the bar as a suggestion to get drunk in the morning hours. Kaji only laughed at the misunderstanding and returned a hearty handshake meant to cement their newfound camaraderie. A barista working the counter set a steaming latte in a new mug beside Kaji, and the caffeine-buzzed shinobi set a silver yen piece on the counter in return.

“I’m sure you three will be more than enough to show us around,” Kaji said reassuringly, in response to Raku’s comment about their travels to and around the hidden cloud. “As long as at least one of you can point out the best spots to grab a bite to eat, we’ll get along just fine.” Kaji then slipped a hand around the warm mug and took a sip of the energizing brew. “I’m always up for an adventure... but I doubt I'll be leaving this guy’s side once we enter your village.” Without gesturing at all, it was obvious that he meant the Hokage. “Wherever he goes, I’ll go, though it’s just a precaution. I’m sure this trip is going to go swimmingly.” Kaji had a knack for jinxing himself, though he truly did expect smooth sailing for the trip.

After the towel connected with this face, Tatsuo groaned. Fifteen minutes to get ready? So he had another ten to sleep. He said turning back over and trying to sleep for a bit longer. However at this point he was awake and it'd probably be bad to get left in the inn since he didn't have any more money. As Tatsuo stood up he made his way over to the shower, he squinted in the mirror checking his teeth. "Clean enough.. I guess." he said opting not to wash his teeth that morning, not like his mom could yell at him from here.

After taking a quick shower, he got dressed, opting to wear a simple outfit of a gray jacket, underneath a white t-shirt and a pair of shorts. However, he proudly wore a blue Konoha headband tied displayed for everyone to see. Making his way down the stairs, he waved to everyone a cheery grin on his face, he scanned the room looking to the newly arrived cloud ninjas. Exclaiming to them, but loud enough for everyone in the inn to hear. "Hello I am Ranna, Tatsuo! I'm a Genin of the Leaf!" After seeing the waitress taking orders he quickly made his way over to the other Genin taking a seat parallel from the cloud Genin. "Hi, i'm Tatsuo." he said to the two, before furrowing his brows thinking of what he wanted to eat. "Fried fish please! With uh.. Rice! Yeah Fish and rice please!" he said the waitress shaking her head as she took his order, making her way back to get them to the kitchen. Tatsuo now turned his full attention back to the two Genin parallel to him. "What are you guy's names?"

Sara was out and about, having awoke very early in the morning. She just wondered from shop to shop, trying a few of the local pasties and sweets that the place had to offer. At some point she was roped in by some local kids, and started to play a game of ninja or ANBU or something akin to that. Basically one person has to find the others within a time limit. She wasn't trying, she didn't have to, but the game had merit and was fun. The kids were pretty good when they had to find her and it was obvious they were well initiated of the terrain. Slowly she was getting used to the place though.

Unfortunately it was getting to the late morning and they had to head off. Sara headed back to the inn and walked through the doorway, seeing her two allies talking to another guy, a glistening piece of metal from his shoulder akin to the shape and size of a headband. All the while being closely watched by two younger people. She just wondered to the table the two sat at, seeing the headbands for Kumogakure. She wondered passed them, and around the table coming from the back and asked with a cheerful loudness to her voice, at least louder then the girl had spoken prior, "Hiya, mind if I join you three? So much better to enjoy food with others." She took a seat without waiting for a response and as the waitress took the order from Tatsuo, she too spoke, with confidence and a joyfulness in her response, "Same thing as yesterday please."

That rice porridge dish was the best, sweet, savory, and cheap! She hadn't had anything like it before, easily the best tasting thing in this town so far. Though the joy of such had to wait, as it needed to be cooked of course, but also..She sat there for a moment, trying to figure out what these two were up to. The voices from the waitress could be heard, saying, "A beef with veg on rice, two fried fish one fried rice the other plain. Oh and that milk girl would like her usual." A small bit of laughter could be heard echoing from the background.

She mostly wanted to hear what the other two had to say, and how they would treat the two of them. She wasn't adorned in her leaf headband, having it tucked away in a pocket of her vaguely kimono style dress. Her eyes glistening as she listened to what they said, moved, and also on what was happening across the room. It wasn't an apparent action, certainly lost on most. She wanted all but her Kage and the ANBU guy to know she was a ninja. Hell, maybe even Tatsuo didn't know she was a shinobi. He might have been her student, but he hadn't seen her do anything ninja like, only doctor like.

Standing to shake the man's hand, Umashi gave a slight bow as he soon would go back to sitting. Kaji did the talking well enough, so well in fact that Umashi managed to enjoy his basic breakfast in relative peace. Taking it all in, Umashi was comforted when both Tatsuo and Sara joined the fold. It seemed like everybody was all set to go. Hearing Kaji's affirmation that things were going to go smoothly, Umashi had to agree. The last thing that any of them wanted was an international incident. "Aye, all will be well. Alas, when do we leave?" Umashi wasn't trying to be a bother but he definitely could do with a stiff drink and from what he heard Kumogakure had some of the stiffest around. That and well . . . he could do with a better bed.

Raku felt a bit silly as he seen someone behind the counter bring some kind of coffee beverage to Kaji, realizing he misunderstood the mans intention. Though it wasn't something he was used to, people getting coffee. And Raku wasn't much of a coffee drinker himself either. "My mistake. I'm still too used to people from my homeland drinking all the time." he said with a chuckle at his mistake.

Seated and listening to Kaji and Umashi speak, he watched as two other youngins had came in and sat down beside his two genin and began conversations. Apparently these Leaf nin had come in a group of 4, maybe more? He wasn't sure yet. While listening to Kaji, he could hear the four close by ordering food, as he kept his attention to the two men closer to him, listening to what they were saying, as the sound of the others faded out of his mind.

"Well, there are certainly a lot of places to get some good food" Raku responded at first, "It shouldn't take us too long to get back to the village and hopefully sort everything out at the gates." he finished as he looked back towards the kids for a moment before turning back to Kaji and Umashi. "It would seem that the younger ones just ordered some food, so I guess we should let them eat up first before we head out." he responded to Umashi's question, pointing back to them, "Once they finish up, we should be able to head out whenever you guys are ready." Raku continued as he looked back at the genin, apparently having separated them from him and the other two, a kiddie table of sorts, though not his intention, as he just wanted to get a feel for these Konoha shinobi for himself before letting his genin interact with them, it seemed to work out well.

"You two will be ready to head out again once you're done eating, right?" Raku asked, looking towards Kikei and Hoshi with a smirk on his face, making sure they were still listening, and ready for action whenever it was required. Raku had planned to invite them to come over to the bar once he had talked to Kaji for a few moments, but it seemed that was no longer needed as they were all in a good spot right now.

Turning towards the counter, Raku stuck out his hand for a barista to come over, and placed an order for some tea instead of coffee, "I guess a quick drink before they finish up isn't such a bad idea." he said turning back towards Kaji and Umashi waiting for his drink, "It's definitely not every day a Kage with a group of his Shinobi show up in another country and ask to meet with it's Kage. Although it's probably not my place to know, you have me curious as to the meaning of this adventure of yours." Leaning onto the bar a bit, sitting slightly angled in his chair, Raku rested his arm on the bar, sitting there curious now.

Kikei retorted back with a smart remark, Shouyu sucking his teeth in response. He was still lightly irritated with her but was adjusting to the nature of her character. He looked away as she ordered and noticed some young leaf Shinobi came into the picture. After ordering Kikei berated the young Genin about their false game Janken the previous night. Again he sucked his teeth at her and sighed, before he could respond someone else did announcing their self.

Tatsuo of the leaf so it appeared and Shouyu nodded at his intro. The young baby faced nine year old even sized up the leaf ninja in the brief moment he ordered before shortly after, yet another leaf Shinobi arrived requesting a seat. He'd give an, "Oh?" and respond with a head nod.

He was now sitting with two ninja of the leaf and so he looked at the other who was a girl, white hues sizing her up in a short moment. She didn't introduce herself, just inquired a seat with company. He cleared his throat thoroughly.

"Hoshi, Shouyu of Kumogakure. I must say I am bursting with excitement to meet with leaf Shinobi, I am pleased to have this meeting with you."

The waitress has finished the orders she placed them in, rushing to the back to give the kitchen what they needed. While he spoke his facial expression was blank seemingly uninterested until he gave a small smile at the leaf Shinobi. He heard the call from Raku about finishing eating and turned to his head in Raku's directions surprised at first, and then nodded with quickly reassuringly.

“Sooo! Um Miss I don’t want to seem rude okay I kind of do cause see this here table is currently being used by us ninja of the leaf and cloud to…uh drat I can’t remember where I was going with this bit. Anyways unless you have official business with ether leaf or cloud it probably is in your best interest to find another empty seat. Cause you know us ninja always getting into fights and what not.” Kikei laughed as a small alarm like sound came from her pocket. It was honestly time for her next dosage of her medication as it seemed her mind was starting to wander a bit too far and thus causing her to lose track of what she was trying to do, which was be a respectable ninja of the cloud. She grabbed at the watch and opened it up to reveal she had stored her next dose inside, and so she could shut off the ringing that the watched used as an alarm. With a quick sip of her coffee and a gulp her pill was swallowed now it was just a good thirty minutes time before it would start to take effect. It wasn’t like her anti-anxiety pills that seemed to take effect almost instantly due to them being both fast acting and the placebo effect of once you take it all is better.

The waitress quickly arrived with everyone’s requested drinks but giving an odd look to the young kikei who had asked for a cup of coffee, after all it wasn’t every day that a child came into her inn and requested coffee instead of some other caffeinated beverage. ‘Ahhh a nice cup of coffee with creamer and sugar what more could I ask for in the morning.’ She thought to herself. Her focus seemed to be completely devoted to her drink and asking the woman to leave the table that she brushed off the leaf ninja that had sat down. It was also then that she noticed something quite peculiar about each of the ninja, and woman around her. ‘You know if I was into girls I would hit on that girl, wait weird thought there….honestly all these people are quite good looking in their own right. Wait a second maybe it’s some unwritten universal law that all ninja must be attractive…wait no that doesn’t work cause this girl is attractive but shows no visible signs of being a ninja must be one of those wildcards.’ Her thoughts continued to trail on about how she can’t remember ever seeing a ninja who wasn’t attractive as if she was lost in a tangent. ‘Wait snap out of it and take your medicine you fool if you keep going like this during the mission you’ll only be a liability.’ She snapped back to the forefront of her mind as she stopped gazing carelessly at the girl who sat opposite of her, obviously she wasn’t staring on purpose but having gotten lost in thought while looking in her general direction may have caused it to seem that way.

“Now sorry about that I’m Riki Kikei. I hail from Kumogakure just as this young kohai does it is a pleasure to meet a ninja from another nation. Especially some of such high standings while just starting out my own career as one. Kind of puts this whole thing into perspective, doesn’t it? You know how in a few years that could be us over there at the bar discussing the importance of the mission, instead here at the kiddie table….i don’t care what anyone says that’s what this is and we all know it. I’m just the one to let the cat out of the proverbial bag.” Kikei stated in a very long winded introduction that could have probably done without half of what she said but her mouth just wouldn’t stop running along with itself. ‘There I said it and I’m pretty sure Raku, oh Raku just addressed us about being ready to go after we finish our meals, where are the meals actually it shouldn’t take that long to get them to us but then again I….’ her thoughts once again began to wander about the fields of unimportance as she sat there sipping at her coffee and gazing in a general direction.

Tatsuo smiled noticing Sara joining the group. It did comfort him to not be outnumbered even though they seemed friendly enough. As Sara sat down he rubbed his eyes, it was obvious he had slept in, but was alert enough to pay attention to the ninjas parallel from him. Tatsuo looked to the Hyuuga as he began to introduce himself. He had met another one with the same white eyes as Hoshi back in the Leaf, so he wasn't really shocked by the idea of seeing one with pale eyes. Quickly providing a response. "I'm Tatsuo, but i'm pretty sure you heard me, I did yell it kind of loud, I wonder if I bothered anyone with it." he said looking between the two. "Hope I didn't annoy you two when I came down." he said offering a toothy grin.

When Kikei asked what Sara was doign at the table, he furrowed his brow. "She's a ninja!" he said looking to her, "Why else would she be on the mission if she wasn't an important ninja, ya' know they only took the most important ninjas from the leaf on the mission." he said his smile not retreating one bit and bringing a thumb up to point at himself. However he was taken aback a bit when Kikei took her medication, he wasn't really used to seeing people take pills unless they were visibly sick, coughing and the likes. Maybe she had allergies or something he furrowed his brow. "Do you have allergies or something? Maybe you're allergic to certain woods?" he slid his hand across the table. "I'm not sure what type of wood this is but you might be allergic to it!" As quick as Tatsuo assumed she was having an allergic reaction, he had grabbed his drink from the waitress and began to down the whole glass. Letting off a nice and satisfied sigh at the end.

On regards to attractiveness, Tatsuo wasn't ugly but his nose was obviously broken and took a lot away from the average standard of good looks people were used to. If anything he had a boyish charm, but he wasn't incredibly handsome or ugly. As Kikei began to introduce herself he smiled, nodding along as she began to drag out her thoughts about as much as Tatsuo did. Quickly Tatsuo grew to liking this girl, she'd be a good friend he thought, most people seemed to get annoyed by this long drawn out monologues, but if she does them too she couldn't hate his he thought to himself. "You talk too much! Just like me! I mean I don't hope you thought that was an insult I just meant we both talk too much so maybe like we should talk less, or like talk more since we're both okay with talking a lot, but I don't mean I want to hear you talk less I like hearing you talk, I like hearing everyone talk, but I mean I like hearing you talk too it's not like you're just normal I mean... uhh." Tatsuo's face quickly became red as he tripped over his own thoughts. "I mean we both just talk a lot."

The first to introduce themselves was Hoshi, Shouyu. She had already analyzed him to the best of her ability, seeing a similarity to herself and a handful of others. Even the girl next to him was in the same boat. She was watching all that was happening within the room, keeping an eye on the conversation a short distance away, the waitress walking out with there drinks from behind. The room seemed calm at the moment. Tatsuo was next to introduce, yet again. It bothered her a little. Her training stated never to dull out personal information as such.

Her concentration was momentarily broken as she realized the other girl at the table was speaking to her. Warning her of a possible imminent fight. She stared at the girl, but didn't see any signs of such. Though it seemed she did. An alarm sounded in her mind, she would have to keep a watchful eye on this girl for sure. She might be up to no good here with such a threat.

'Wait, is that an actual alarm...It's a signal!' The girl reached for something and Sara tensed, she was reaching for a WEAPON! If Tatsuo hadn't broken in at that moment, his enthusiastic method of speaking causing her to turn her attention to him, she might have done something very very stupid. She looked back and realized what the girl had pulled out, it was just some medicine.

The boy had revealed Sara was a ninja as well, now knowing it wasn't a weapon she got a little upset at what he was saying, visibly to all shooting daggers at him. Placing importance on all of them.

'I can save face in this situation. But how...', a worried expression now present, some anger still there. "Actually, I am a medical practitioner, er um a Field Medic now, I guess. And not all that imp" Tatsuo broke in, asking about the medicine the girl was taking most likely. His off key quandary about wood allergies and what the table might be made of seemed foolish, her face turning from worried to an 'oh my god this guy really', expression.

Riki Kikei as she now knew the last member at the tables name broke Tatsuo's feeling up the table action, introduced herself. Though she did say something odd. Starting her career? Was she a genin? She also alluded to such as she called the table they sat at the kiddie table. She looked at the boy, then back at the girl, taking them in again. 'So two genin, and I am guessing he is there leader, Chuunin or maybe Jounin given the importance of this mission. Though, maybe Kumogakure isn't placing much importance on there arrival? Or there are more members outside?' Something didn't seem right about this situation in the least to her. If anything where to happen to any of the leaf people here, it could easily lead to war. She also realized, these three weren't much of a threat. Again, another breath of relief was released.

Then came the tongue twister from Tatsuo. He kept repeating himself and his face turned red from embarrassment. She didn't know Tatsuo to much but there relationship wasn't set in stone so she didn't have a problem calling him out on it. "Your turning red Tatuo. Are you okay? You aren't having an allergic reaction to this wood too are you? Or maybe?" This would be her revenge for him blurting out all that stuff. "Do you have a thing for this girl?!" She said it softly, as if trying to hide the information, but it was plenty loud enough for those at the table to hear. Her look turned from false worry to almost an innocent look, but an evil smirk could be sussed out. She was proud of the fact that she could get him back. Sara looked at the girl with her soft glowing eyes, now thinking if she should plunge the dagger deeper. It was an easy decision, "She is quite beautiful!"

Shouyu wondered about the girl and why she chose to seat with three who were clearly ninja. This thought was immediately interrupted by Kikei, the live wire. She proposed the question he was thinking aloud and articulated what what he was to shy to say. He heard her alarm and turned his head slightly. At least she was being on point, his previous conceptions of her from their game of Janken began to ease from his mind. However, when Kikei was reaching for medicine, the peripheral view of his Hyuuga eyes could see the girl across the table tensing. This sparked his curiositybut Tatsuo however seemed just as energetic as Kikei and broke through the thickening air. As his pale eyes absorbed his surroundings he maintained a blank face, and gave a soft exhale.

He thought to himself,'Odd, she seems very reflexive...' Casually, his eyes would wander across to every around the table, stopping at the new girl for a brief moment and then to the bar. And in Tatsuo's outburst he proclaimed the new girl was a ninja. Shouyu presumed correct, she appeared more agile and on guard than most. He heard every word of Tatsuo, exclaiming they were the most important leaf ninjas and he smirked. And the new girl slid in with a remark retorting that she was only a medical practitioner so he raised his brow but quickly looked to Tatsuo confused. His deduction was farfetch'd and Shouyu just returned a blank face. Honestly, he was too shy to express any behavior in front of such strangers and wasn't done sizing them up.

Kikei properly introduced herself and berated Shouyu with Kouhai and clicked his teeth at the sound, crossing his arms and looking at the bar. Just in time, the food arrived steaming in front of his face. The waitress seemingly appeared out nowhere with salvation, a smile, a greeting and goodbye until next time. Shouyu began to chow down while the rest were talking, his face close to his plate but his eyes ever wandering around his radius. Tatsuo then had a moment getting choked up in his words and on the inside Shouyu laughed to himself but continued to eat his beef and rice until crumbs were left. He ate rather fast since they were in a hurry, he downed his tall glass of water with streams running down the corners of his mouth. With a 'Slap! and 'Clang!' from his glass to the table and hand colliding at the same time he would rise rather quickly out of his seat, both palms on the table. He would be looking at the new girl.

"It is only common courtesy to introduce yourself when everybody else has. I am to welcome and escort you to my home, but I do know your name."

He would say with a blank stare at her, though his voice stern as if he truly meant what he said. He felt a vibe of distrust from the Shinobi and wanted to clear the air before the travels started, there couldn't be any tension between the groups, he would cancel out any way of spurring up trouble.

"We are more than capable Shinobi given the task to escort a rather very important party. At any given time, my life could be in danger escorting you, and yet... I still do not know who you are, but you know of my name and allegiance."

Hoshi would sit back down and cross his arms, looking down at the table with an upset look.

“Pause hold up, have you once heard me sneeze or wheeze? If neither of those things is present what would make you assume I was allergic to something? Nor am I breaking out in hives so again what would make you assume I was allergic to something? Also I will thank you for the compliment if you have a thing for me, but I don’t quite think something like that would be good for us don’t you think?” She asked the poor leaf boy who was obviously now being teased for his inability to know when to end a sentence. ‘So young and already has girls on the brain, must be something in the water over in the hidden leaf village. Cause the boys I’ve met so far all seem to have no interest in women yet.’ She thought as she turned her attention towards the girl once more, this time it was an actual attempt to size her up as more than just a beauty. After all why bring along a medical practitioner unless they suspected the need for wounds to be addressed on the spot.

“Kohai don’t be rude. A field medic is usually a necessary precaution. Though why they would take a doctor out of the hospital in the first place makes no sense when they could have brought a med-nin instead. Unless you’re the personal physician to the kage then it would make sense for him to want to keep his doctor with him at all times.” She began to ramble as she tried to settle her partner down who had obviously let something get the better of him. This makes sense seeing as when she first met him he was wallowing in some sort of sadness, alone under a tree. She was so distracted she hadn’t started at her food immediately upon its arrival. Though once she finally remembered she prepared her chopsticks and set upon her meal with much hesitation, for she knew not if it would live up to her expectations. A soft mmm escaped her lips as she took the first bite of her freshly prepared meal; the fish seemed to melt in her mouth upon impact with her taste buds assaulting them with a tsunami of flavor. She smiled from ear to ear after her first taste and was in fact gone no longer would she talk until she finished her meal. ‘

“So I have to say the fish was great before I say anything else. I just would like to learn what to address you by if need be. Though the need should not arise that I need to know your name it would still be appreciated.” She finally stated after a long pause brought on by her meal, of course she made the statement with grace and composure as to not cause any problems with the group. After all walk home was still before then and it would not be beneficial for anyone involved for there to be some sort of drama within the group.

Tatsuo turned to Sara, his face still red but he shook his head once again. "Nah I mean, I just, I was ugh.." he continued to trip on his tongue, not knowing what to say. He shook his head hoping to end the onslaught of their teasing when Hoshi mentioned what to call them. "You can just call me Tatsuo, that's my name i'll just call you Hoshi if that's alright?" he said hoping to be past that embarrassing interaction but quickly Kikei called him out on it. "I mean I was just wondering if you were having an allergic reaction, sorry if I didn't know." and when she mentioned the part about him being interested in her he shook his head defiantly. "No I don't like you at all! I mean. Yeah! That." he said nodding once firmly, making up his mind that he wouldn't let the girls torment him any longer. Luckily enough for him his fish arrived and he quickly ate it, trying his best to ignore any further taunts by Sara or Kikei. To Sara, it'd seem like he was pouting once again. Once he finished eating he prepared to leave the tavern, without saying a word he looked to the adults of the party for further instruction.
