Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sara and Kikei were enjoying a rousing round of picking on a boy, managing to enjoy it enough to let their food cool slightly. She took a spoonful of her rice pudding when Shouyu slammed his drink and fist on the table and stood up in what Sara took as anger, and started to angerly express his anger while trying to stair her down. Sara looked up at him as he started to speak, saying something about giving her name. 'Why...why is he so angry? Didn't I...no that's right, I didn't. Though... I don't...' He spoke again, speaking about danger and laying down his life.

"Um..ah..Yak...Yak uu." She said with a stutter. The eight year old was getting nervous. She fidgeted with her spoon, her face turned away from his as she had spoken. He sat back down, yet still an angry look on his face. Her eye teared up a little as she tried to figure out why he would be so upset about not being given her name. Now the attention of the table was on her, as his friend started to speak. She surveyed the room, and saw that Tatsuo was a little down. 'Is that why? Is he defending Tatsuo?' The boy then reintroduced himself saying they could call him by a first name basis. Kikei then interjected, trying to calm the situation down some. A small tear swelled up in her eyes, getting flustered form the situation.

With a nod, Kaji saw it fitting that each member in their collaborative group stock up on warm meals before heading back out on their journey. According to the cloud group’s leader Raku, the passage to Kumogakure wouldn’t be a challenging one, unlike the experience Kaji tried yesterday at Momento Deo. It appeared as though he had seen some of the worst this Land of Lightning had to offer and took a bit of comfort in knowing most of it was rather peaceful.

The chat on the adult end of the spectrum of shinobi within the end came down to the question of the week, one that troubled Kaji as well as they made their way to Port Cirrus. Raku simply asked what the reason for their arrival was, and Kaji lacked a confident answer. As a veteran shinobi of sorts, it was unlike Kaji to operate on a need-to-know basis, but up till this point, the Hokage kept his lips sealed on why they made this journey. “Umm,” Kaji was on the edge of saying a reply, but he did not want to lie when Umashi could answer for himself if he so pleased. “I’d like to think of our journey here as something of a gesture of good will… Between the Leaf and Cloud, our two villages play a large role in the balance and well-being of the many societies of the Eastern Coast.” While that may not have added up to much, Kaji felt he was off to a good start. “There’s nothing like taking a personal approach to see through some good relations and democracy between our lands,” he said as he glanced over to Umashi, who had the courage to visit Kumogakure in person. To some, the visit seemed a tad informal, but between shinobi the gesture of being dedicated to seeing things through.

It appeared as though the youth of the companions would be done soon, and with all seeming to be well between the Leaf and Cloud, Kaji decided to step outside for some more fresh air and to summon Kukki for their travels. “I’ll be outside, gang. Find me by the bard when you’re ready to set off.”

Nodding at Kaji's response to things, Umashi could only agree with his assessment. “Indeed, my goal is only to broker a continued peace and better protections for our nations for the future. We’re living in exciting times and we owe it to ourselves to be on the right side of history. Do note that once I have spoken to the Raikage that I’ll be soon thereafter visiting the Kazekage as well. It does us no good as regional leaders to also be isolationist.” Looking their leading escort right in the eyes, Umashi’s conviction was quite clear as the steady gaze of his green eyes held no secrets.

Not wanting the moment to get too far into the creepy zone, Umashi smiled and waved towards the door and indeed the reason for their arrival.
“Shall we?” It was more an invitation than anything as Umashi wasn’t keen on fighting today. Which . . . at the rate that things were going would probably break out at least emotionally among the younger members of the group. Umashi was going to have to whip Tatsuo into shape it seemed. Medics ought not to be acting like that, no matter what their age was. If the party saw fit to be off then Umashi would be sure to follow. Things had simply taken long enough.

Listening to the reply of Kaji, explaining what he knew of the situation, as well as Umashi's response, Raku felt fine about their reasoning. Raku wasn't a warmonger, he had no reason not to want a bit of peace maintained between the larger villages, and as such he felt like if their intentions were true, then this was a fine reason to escort them to his village. Not that he truly had much say in the matter since this was his given mission and it would probably be in bad taste or even treasonous for him to not go through with his mission based on personal feelings, but he had no reason for such actions, and as such would continue with their objective.

It seemed that Kaji and Umashi were a little antsy to head out, while the younger ones seemed to be bickering and getting to know each other among themselves. There was some audible tension, teasing, and more, but Raku didn't really expect more. There was pride on the line. These younger shinobi were new to he game, and wanted to prove that they were what they wanted to be, and to do it well, whether it was to be outwardly proud of being a shinobi, or keeping it inside as some kind of secret believing that was the right answer. It didn't matter, in the end they were all quite similar to each other and it made Raku chuckle a little on the inside.

Finishing his tea as Kaji decided to get up and head outside, and Umashi shortly followed, anxious to leave, Raku stood up, pulling his wallet out of his pocket, and walking over to the waitress, giving her the money owed for the young ones meals that had yet to be paid for, as he had plenty to spare, not usually spending much money himself, saving up the majority of it for when he would decide to retire once he was much older. Without any further ado, Raku walked over to the table where Kikei, Hoshi and the other two were sitting, and nodded his head to the side, in the direction of the front door. "Let's get going you guys. We've got some ground to cover so we can get everyone to Kumogakure safe and sound." he said, as he began to walk off towards the direction of the door. "Good thing you're all getting along." he said as he continued walking, chuckling to himself a bit, slightly audible to them at the table, hoping they would get up and follow him out the door.

As he exited the building soon after, he looked towards Kaji who was near the bard, listening to him play some mellow tune currently, as Raku walked up to them, and signaled with his head away from the inn. "I guess we'll get a move on then. Get you guys to the village pronto." he told him, as it seemed that the main players were all ready to head out and get some traveling done, Raku didn't want to hold them up any longer than had already been done. Once everyone had assembled, and was ready to head out, they would start to move out as a group, moving at the speed of the slowest companion to make sure everyone kept up.

Shouyu evethtually eased up, seeing the adults getting ready to leave. He looked over to the girl and saw that she had begun to tear up, he instantly felt remorseful for expressing his emotions in such a way, his eyes dropped. The others would probably react and believe him to be brash so he felt a bit of shame, giving out a sigh before he heard Raku. His head turned quickly. Raku stated they were about to leave, and seemed to be in haste.

Shouyu agreed with a nod and stood up. He walked over to the side of the girl, looking down at her, his first look would be blank.

"I only wanted to know your name, because I figured, if you were going with us to stay at my home. We could at least be friends. Either way, I am more than capable of safely escorting you. You can count on me!"

He would give up a thumbs up gesture with a boyish smirk and then point thumb to himself. Hoshi then rushed off to catch up to Raku, if anything he wanted to be somewhat ahead of the pack for his eyes could see far distances and foresee any short comings to stall their journey. Although, he would look back at the bunch with a turn of his a head revealing a cheesy smile, and hand beckoning them all to follow.

Tatsuo had just finished eating his meal, he was incredibly embarrassed at this point and really just wanted to leave. The moment he noticed his meal being paid for he stood up, he glanced around at the patrons of the table. He wasn't the type to start a fight, normally but he was pretty annoyed at this point. This trip really was getting worse and worse as time went on. "It seems we should go." he said indignantly. He made his way outside, trying to make his way by Kaji's side. He looked to Umashi, sighing and saying under his breath. "This trip really does suck." Kaji would most likely be able to hear and if Umashi was paying any attention he would've heard it as well.

Letting out a small sigh brought on by the situation the young girl looked to see that most of the adults had already begun to the leave the inn. Raku having left them to the kiddie table finally walked over and addressed them that it was time to be off and on their way. ‘Oh how I can’t wait to be done with this mess and take a nice nap at home and just pretend this headache caused by these boys never happened.’ Kikei thought as she finished what remained of her coffee and excused herself from the table. She was the third to do so and as such assumed it wasn’t her responsibility to leave behind a tip for the waitress.

'It would appear I read the situation incorrectly, though the boy is still a little forth right and rude.' In Iwagakure, names weren't of great importance, except for family names and even then. Though it seemed in Kumogakure, names were important to one another. She was apart of the enclave to broker peace with said country, she might have to rethink her priorities. Obviously secretiveness wasn't that much of a priority as was said prior. Though, friendship with these other people appeared to be of greater importance then she would have thought. Getting to know them and there customs was one reason she enjoyed traveling so. She had forgotten that fact, thinking the mission was of such importance.

The small girl watched as they all exited the room, tears still being fought back in a lost battle; her companions foremost, leaving her behind. Sara wiped the slight wetness from her eyes, leaving a trail of dew and discolor on the white dress. She learned another lesson, one that wasn't so apparent to her so conveniently. What she found to be more disturbing was the righteousness of those that were to be her companions. It would seem her would be enemy had a greater moral circle then what were to be her friends. Something was scratching at the back of her mind, causing her to sit there for a moment, trying to figure out what it was. Deep within; ties, memories, rational, unconscious thinking was being done. She hadn't known those that she had traveled with well, but given where they were, within, she felt that any ally from Iwagakure would defend there own foremost. Those in Maruishi would be less so but still more then this. An interesting trait about those from the leaf was passed on. If push came to shove, she might have to depend on these people from Kumogakure then her own allies...

Sara took a spoonful of the untouched rice pudding, that to which she so loved before. As she placed the spoon in her mouth, her face somewhat distorted. The sweetness and warmth she loved about it so was now bitter and cold. She tossed her spoon back into the bowl, the sound of the metal pinging loudly against the edge of the wood. Again she wiped her face, now thinking about the boy that was so upset. 'If I can get him alone, even with that girl..perhaps I should tell him sorry. I guess it was rude of me to not give my name, especially if he found it so important.' Sara pushed from the table and jumped to the ground onto her feet. She ran to the room and grabbed her stuff and ran after her party. She had something she sought to do now.
