Toil of fate. Trouble and true. Oen knew that this ritual. . . once he found out he would be 'in tune' with the Fates. They were what helped him move through the world with the prowess in battle to turn the tides of battle in his favor with their benevolence. Their essence was riddled throughout his existence, moving him out of the hands of death and into their loving arms time and time over. Though, before he was young and naive, now he was able to better understand what they needed from him and how to better serve them and to better benefit his country. His people. Through Oen's mastery of his spiritual enlightenment he was able to fulfill obligatory requirements for The Fates. . . but it only caused him to question something about them. . .
A month ago, Oen read in the books he had been bestowed through his sealing techniques about the Fates, how they had been rumored to come into being. How they controlled the flow of life and death. They held within them the strings of fate, the very essence of every human's life. And when they decided it was time, they clipped the string ending one's life. They worked under the greater order, never falling outside of it unless there was a being of great and virtuous purpose that they wanted to follow and seek out. It was rare they kept the tides of life within outside the grand order. . . but as Oen read about them in his youth, things would slowly begin to come to him. In waves, their blessings would also move to begin giving him the ability to change outcomes nearly at will. Without thinking he had become something of a reader. . . As a Reader, he learned of rituals, incantations, and new sealing techniques that would allow him to expand upon his abilities. As he learned, he gained respect for the grand order and the balance of sentience... and cessation.
Oen's connection to the spiritual realm gave him simple attention to ghosts, demons, and everything in between. For the sake of the ritual that he found within the texts, he would have to conjure more than a simple connection and a deepened interrelation with the Fates and their grand order for his being. It would require much of a deepened charge of chakra, something within his divination cultivated with a series of sacraments to the Fates, that would climax with the summoning of a physical effigy to the Fates that would be the representation of the connection he made with the Fates and the Grand Order.
In the present day, Oen took a week stint off giving himself time to prepare the ritual and to move on to the next phase of his life's work. Something rumored with the Fates claimed that once he unlocked the power he sought, he would begin to see the world from both spiritual and physical realms simultaneously which frightened Oen, but he pushed through it because if he could begin to pull from both realms, he'd be an asset for Kumogakure, and for his people. Moving to a cavern he'd rented for a few days high in the mountains he would prep. For weeks before, Oen began enchanting runes and seals unto his specially made talisman around the building enchanting them with protection from evil spirits and ill demons looking to thwart his progression. It took a full day of work for him to seal everything from the outside world. . . Once the last seal and talisman was day's he would begin his fast.
It would be a full three-day water fast with only one full warm glass of boiled water ingested before beginning his incantations back-to-back while lighting candles in quick sixty-second succession until all thirty ritual candles were displayed in their full luster...
