Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hito had sneaked out tonight, finding his way out away from everyone. He was headed back to his "home"; a cave in the forest of trees, set into a large rock formation covered with moss. From the outside view, it was almost completely unnoticeable. But, to the trained hunter, you could see turned blades of grass, small broken tree switches, and a carefully covered entrance to the cave. Hito had made his way back here for a camping trip that he desperately needed, feeling like a jailed bird while staying in the village all the time. He had not been allowed to return to his only known home since he had joined the academy.

He had been advised from others not to venture out into the wilderness by others who were worried about what and who was out there, but to Hito, he had known this part of the world his entire life. He knew everything in the area, for miles around, and knew nothing was too much for him. Back in the cave, he had lit a small fire, and closed the entrance enough to where the smoke wouldn't be visible, and would filter itself out within the moss, trees, and rock formation to dissipate before it was even able to be seen by others outside the cave. He had learned this trick from years of living here, and waking up to find someone had found him by the trail of smoke, or animals find the cave due to the entrance not covered or hidden in some way, and the glimmer of a light brought them to him.

"Ahh," taking a deep relaxed breath, he sighed it out, content with being back home. He leaned back against a soft mossy rock, setting his sword beside him in a groove he had made just to hold it to be ready whenever he was asleep or relaxing. The groove was fit to hold the sword scabbard and allow the sword to be drawn while the scabbard stayed in the rock groove. It allowed easy drawing while sleeping, or relaxation lying down. He smiled to himself, loving the freedom of the wilderness again. He sniffed, smelling fresh rain outside. He got up, looking over to a formation he had made to gather water during the forest rains, and noticed it had not been altered. Good. He walked over to a medium fist size rock, and pulled it in, setting it on the ground, and watched as the pool formation filled with water from a stream outside the top of the cave. As he watched his life water gather, it dawned on him he no longer had food in his cave, being as he had moved it all when he entered the village. His stomach rumbled at the thought of food. He chuckled, remembering he hadn't eaten in a day or so. He sat back against the mossy rock, thinking that he should go get some food sooner than later... And with that, he dozed off, comfortable to be back in his old home.

Re: Home Sweet Home [free]

Hito awake after taking a really long nap to find that it was daylight outside the cave, as he could tell via the small crack he left open at the entrance. He yawned, stretching his body, the amazing sensation of his muscles stretching making it a good morning to wake up to. Or, at least he thought it was morning. He had yet to find out what time of the day it was, being as he hadn't yet ventured outside his little cave dwelling. Getting up, bending over to stretch his back and loosen his body, he picked up his sword from the groove in the rock formation, and attached it back on his back where it belonged. He blinked, lazily, and looked around, small holes in the rock formation letting in dusty air. He yawned once more, a longer, louder yawn, and he stretched one final time, to make himself somewhat more awake. His mind groggily starting to function, he thought to himself Welp, time to get this shit done for the day... By that, he meant search for food, gather wood for firewood, and find some fresh, long grass/leaves from the tropical trees to line his cave floor for bedding.

He took a few steps towards the cave entrance, laid a hand on the side of the rock wall, and grabbed the rock guarding and hiding the entrance. He moved it to the side, into a cut out in the rock formation fit for it, and rolled it back shut after stepping out of it. Once outside, he carefully moved the hanging moss out of the way, making sure not to trip over the wildly growing thorn bushes, and making doubly sure that he didn't leave anything behind noticeable to outsiders. He wanted to keep this area as secret and well kept as possible. Who knows, maybe he'd need it later for something other than visiting? Making sure that all was in order before leaving, he checked to see if there were fresh tracks or somewhat new animal trails on the ground, around him. Seeing none, he licked his finger, and stuck it in the air, feeling the breeze flowing south. So, with that notion, he turned south and began trekking along the hills, checking for the same features as before. He'd gather the food first, then the other necessities later. After all, he only had two arms to carry things with.

Stepping lightly, moving forward, eyeing for signs of life other than his, he spotted a large bear. Hito didn't need weapons for hunting, but it made him more comfortable to have them readily available. Crouching down, he snuck his way south, below the animal, so his scent wouldn't travel, and so he wouldn't be detected. That was Hunting 101. If you were noticed, the prey would be twice as aware as before, and would bolt at any small sound; or if they were a larger animal, they'd go hunting if they were hungry, or defend if they had babies. It was usually easy to tell which "role" they were going to do by the time you got close enough to be detected. Hito crawled forward, making his way to the bear. As he crawled, he heard a hiss, and upon looking to his right, he had crawled into a snake's resting area. He smiled, and deftly grabbed the snake as it lunged at him. His hand caught it behind the head, stopping it in place. Its head was triangle shaped, meaning it was poisonous. Slowly, as to not disturb the bear further up, Hito grabbed one of his chakra blades hidden in his shirt, and cut the head of the snake off, tossing it away from him. He left the body in his hands. He'd use it as bait for the bear to distract it. Convenient, he thought. By this time, after crawling a little more, he was little more than 20 feet from the bear. Tossing the snake over his head, to hit a tree by the bear, he knew the bear would smell the blood of the animal and be curious to check it out. He took this time to get to his hands and knees, in order to run at the animal. As the bear turned from what it was doing, and went to look at what the sound was, Hito rushed in, and upon getting in physical range of the bear, he jumped onto its back, wrapping his arms around its neck, to try and begin to suffocate it to sleep and then death. As he began to apply pressure, the bear stood up, and roared, throwing him loose of his grip. Barely able to hold on as the bear thrashed about, he let go, and prepared for the attack from the bear, so he could counter it and overcome his target.

The bear roared at him, turning to look upon who the attacker was. As their eyes met, Hito himself would glare into the others eyes for a moment before watching as the bear moved towards him, swiping with its claws. Hito jumped back, poorly missing his timing, as he was looking at just how massive this bears claws and body was. He'd need a lot of time to haul it back to the cave... As he landed, he rushed back into the bear's reach, the one chakra blade still in his hand from the incident before with the snake. Hto would dodge back for every swipe the bear sent, biding his time to get in closer, to cause real harm to it. As the bear stood up for another roar, Hito took this moment to bum rush in, and send the blade slashing deeply into the bears neck, damaging the jugular and all with inside the neck area. As the bear bled out to death, he sighed, and placed his hands on his side, inhaling deeply, and releasing it into a long exhale. His adrenaline calming down, slowing, Hito cleaned his chakra blade, and placed it back in his shirt fold with the other. Fuck, this is going to take forever to move. He chuckled to himself, now having enough meat for roughly a week. He'd find a way to keep it clean when he got it back to the cave.

Sizing the bear, he knew he had no way of lifting something that big and hauling it back by himself, so he sat, and thought. He COULD just pull it back, or he could just cut it up here, and leave the bones, and haul it back in pieces.... Decisions devisions... Making up his mind, he grabbed the front paws, and threw them over his shoulders. He'd drag it back, and make it look to other animals as if he was the bear, to avoid other confrontations while hauling his future meals back home. Struggling to keep walking with the heavy bear on his back, he took a long while to get back to the cave. Upon returning, he had to go through the procedures of getting back into the cave, but making it seem as if a large animal had roamed around, so he broke a few branches, and made a fat walk trail using the bear's body. He got the bear in the cave, and laid it down on the bare rock floor. Huffing, and out of breath, Hito still had to finish his job of making sure it seemed as if nothing were here. So, upon exiting the cave, he made a large "bear nest" in the blades of grass using his body to roll the grass flat in a circle.Getting up and looking around to find all of his work contempt, he headed back inside to begin his process of cleaning the bear.

Hito cleaned the bear, skinning the bear from the gut down to the pelvis, and peeling the fur and skin back. He took what meat he needed for the day, and the rest he placed in the pool of water. Gathering himself, he opened his cave door, and went back out into the wooded area, in search for broken branches for firewood. The task itself was easy enough, it was just rather... time consuming to get all that he would need for a while. As the day grew long, he would end up gathering enough to last him a week of firewood. He smirked, thinking he had done well for himself today. Making his way into his cave, he reclosed the stone door, and placed the wood near the water pool. He made up his fire pit, laying the limbs of dead trees around the pit. As he performed this small task, he started daydreaming about when he lived here alone before, and how he had made it this far. Wow, what all i had to do to live alone here.. Im glad I am who I am, and who I have made myself become...

He lit the wood by rubbing the branches together rapidly, his palms rotating the branch into the other branch, like a spiral. The friction burning the wood; slowly, it smoldered and grew in flame size with the air he began to breathe into it. His eyes, now fixated on the flame, Hito relaxed once more, enjoying his time alone back in the wilderness. He begun to wonder why he even left here in the first place....

As the flames flickered, memories of his life outside of the village came back to him. As relaxed as he was, his usual suppressed thoughts of his old childish past would come flooding back to him, sparking old emotions and old thoughts. Why was he left to raise himself? Why was he just thrown from his home, with no words or no advice, and even more - no home to return to.. It didn't make sense to Hito. How could a family do such a thing? What compelled them to even have a child of they weren't going to take care of it? All these questions swam in his little brain, all unanswered.

Lying down next to the flame, after hours of cooking the bear meat, he would rest in his back and stare at the rock ceiling. He had teared up, sad that he didn't have anyone in the world but himself. Sometimes, it was just too much to see his friends and the massive amount of other random people with their significant others, with their children, with a group of friends, or even with a combo of the the three. He had no one. Coming back to reality, he wiped his eyes. He didn't need anyone like that. He didn't need a family! He didn't need friends or a crush, or a significant other! ...did he? He sat up, noticing hours had past, the flame had died, and only the ashes remained with a small bit of flame left within them. He needed all of those bonds, he knew. He knew.

Hito had fallen asleep, his mind a rush of ideas and thought processes coming together, too much for him to handle at once. Giving him a headache, this was how he had fallen asleep. Dreaming, his body slumped over, limp, Hito began to sweat and twitch. In his dream, he was remembering his life as a child, and the harshness it brought upon him. But, after a few minutes, he stopped sweating and twitching. His mind calmed down, and an image of his mentors came into his mental view. Old man Saito, Oba-San Kitsune... Hito dreamt of them, and their impact on his life.

Maybe they were his family?

His dream was going fine until he just watched at they fel. Seemingly from nothing, a hole had appeared. In his dream And swallowed them up.. This jolted him awake now, realizing he had some shitty dreams. Kids his age dreamt of new toys or some candy to please their sweet tooth.

Hito shrugged it all off as a bad dream, and got up, remembering what it was he was doing.

Getting up, Hito gathered his belongigs and walked out ofthe cave entrance for now. He was going to take a bath and relax in the stream nearby to clear his mind, and to cleanse his body.

Making his way to the stream, he had already begun taking all of his clothes off that he didn't needed. As he arrived a few meters from the water, he stretched, and walked into the strong current.

Washing off, Hito cleaned his body and meditated on his recent happenings. After a while, he figured it would be best to return to the village for now. Gathering himself up, and clothing himself, he set off back to the village; if only just for a little while.
