Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Getting the girl checked into the hospital wasn't too tough, the year was currently reaching that point when all the mednin in training had to have some simpler cases to treat, and this one in particular was a regular faceless joe looking to help the village out. He got Tsubaki a private room before mentioning that the room may be occupied later on due to an influx of students, both ones getting injured and ones messing up on their training in bad bad ways. Naoki thanked the trainee and sat on a stool next to her friend. She was sure she'd been in a very similar position several times before, and would have preferred to stay out of it this time but it was better than not having been able to support her friends... This one especially, it seemed. Her mind was broiling with worry, no thoughts, just worry. The words that normally churned and raged in her mind at times like these were silent, her throat was dry, her overall feeling nauseous as her brows remained furrowed. She couldn't do much here but try and keep herself in check and avoid bothering the mednin too much for an update. All she had to do was rest right? Sleep wasn't something that came with effort to Naoki, since her body was always tired out at the end of the day and her mind always followed. That kind of regular life was what she led, staying on the safe side of everything if she could help it. Until the girl she watched over awoke, there wouldn't be much movement from the genin.

That nauseous feeling was starting to get to her after a few minutes, and the initial worry subsided, most likely temporarily. Standing up, she tried to think about what she might be able to do. But Tsubaki-san really only needs to rest... What can I do anyway? Should I go and find her family to tell them she's in here? But... It was hard to leave someone you worried about, much like a miser would not leave his treasure's side for fear of something happening to it even though it was a safe, unknown location. Naoki's full throttle nature (as long as she wasn't in much danger) was causing her to war internally between having a course of action and worrying even more while she was out.

Naoki’s indecision would continue to war with itself for quite some time as the aspiring medinin arrived, took some readings from the girl using a device that Naoki was not familiar with. After five minutes the young man simply sighed and shook his head in an exasperated manner, as if he had seen this frivolous use of his time for too often. “Your friend here simply used up too much of her chakra. If she had more restraint when she was throwing around balls of fire and shocking small animals, then she wouldn’t be in here.” He had an air of arrogance that belied his age and station, looking no more than a year or two older than Tsubaki. He let off another sigh as he jotted some things down on the clipboard and put his under his arm as he turned to Naoki, “she will be fine enough to walk in a few hours and will be good as new in a day.” He then proceeded to walk around Naoki as if she suddenly ceased to exist before he stepped towards the door.

That was kind of a jerky thing to say... She had met her share of jerkiness however, and shrugged it off pretty easily at first. Naoki didn't handle it all that well before, but it seems she's learned to do so in the years of handling small tasks. Thick skin was essential to being someone who pretty much did odd jobs, and so early development of said skin was crucial... It just hasn't fully grown in yet and she continued stewing about it a bit afterwards despite being mentally drained from the worry. A few hours huh... Still having a patrol to finish as well as a few hours of training, she decided to go ahead and complete her training before coming back, since it's likely that Tsubaki will want to return home after awakening and she'd be able to finish the patrol then on the way up. The trainee's words, frustrating as they were, did assuage her fear somewhat, and she figured clearing her head would probably be best at this stage.

The genin stepped out onto the rooftop of the hospital, doing her stretches before proceeding with the shuttle runs. She'd been neglecting her speed training in favor of endurance, and this was something entirely unacceptable when she recognized it, hoping the menu full of squats and jumping practice between buildings and back would be enough to get her back on track with the speed advantage she usually had. There wasn't always time for her to think about things that weren't relating to practice or how best to maximize her time given the terrain and her current condition and equipment, but whenever she did, it was about whether or not she should go fetch the girl's family after all. This way she was still rather close though, and it ruled out the possibility of some terrorist attacking the area without her noticing it. Going up top or anywhere said family might be studying plants would be too far away for her hearing to pick up on much.

Once the few hours passed, and Naoki felt thoroughly exhausted, she made her way back to Tsubaki's room, hoping no one weird had transferred in or that a crow somehow crashed into it. Crows were gross looking. Even worse would've been a scorpion! She opened the door quickly, expecting Tsubaki to still be on the bed if awake and wanting to hurry up and prove to herself that nothing bad was happening.

Hours passed and evening approached as the village began to settle down for the evening. Festivities were still commencing, but the more prudent villagers had already ceased their rivalry and had headed home. The hospital was even more deserted upon Naoki’s return, only a few medi-nin roaming the halls as they hurriedly tended all of their patients on a short staff. When Naoki arrived at the room, it appeared almost exactly as she had left it. Tsubaki was in a slightly different position on the bed, but was still prone and apparently unconscious. The only notable addition was a cardiac monitor that softly beeped at a regular pattern, illuminating the room nicely for Naoki’s senses. The expression on her face was the same as well, a restless and almost pained expression that was almost painful to look at due to the state of being that it implied.

She passed by a few people on the way down, and managed to say hi to a few old friends before entering Tsubaki's room and shaking her head. Why are so many of them getting so badly hurt... Are we turning into some kind of military... Ah, I guess we've been the village's military huh? But geez, I didn't know this many people got hurt so badly during training even before being a genin... It cast a lot of doubt on her as a genin, who didn't get hurt too much at all because she always took precautions to keep from being hurt as a natural reaction to having broken her ribs and her leg at some point. She sat down next to the sleeping girl, unable to stop herself from staring, or at least concentrating on, Tsubaki's current expression. It was nagging at her, that expression. It was not the expression of someone having restful sleep. "Tsubaki-san..." She stood up, some kind of yearning making itself known as she reached out to brush some strands of hair out of that decidedly troubled face.

Her hand hovered for a while, trying to think but finding that her mind was blank. There didn't seem to be anything she could do, so at the very least, she should try and keep Tsubaki comfortable, even if it's just on the outside. That was all, nothing more... right? She found that her heartbeat was quickening by quite a bit, breathing getting a little less controlled. It wasn't anything that registered in her mind, but she did know that, for some reason... This was something she just really, really wanted to do.

The evening hours had finally filled the village and the bustling community, if you could consider them bustling, was starting to quiet down from their daily lives probably to go eat with their families, friends or to just relax until they escaped into their dreams and would start everything over the next day. Unfortunately for the descendant of Byakko, he was just starting his shift at the hospital as one of the "aspiring" medics-in-training had came by his office and dropped off paperwork on the patients in the Hospital with a snide look on his face. If the Hospital was not pressed for time, the older and veteran medic would have probably stopped the kid and questioned him on his attitude and body language. But, he didn't and the trainee would leave the building for the evening but it was evident that these reports were mainly by him from the way that each patients' conditions were disrespectful written with personal comments about them in the margin. That kid was going to need to be questioned later when there was a moment, but for now the patients were the most important part and he would start with the one that seemed to be in the most "critical" condition whose name was Koizumi Tsubaki.

He would read the paperwork indicating that her heart rate was steady, breathing was mainly stable, but it appeared her chakra was depleted from overusing jutsu. Strange, why would her chakra be so dangerously low even if she was merely an academy student and around the same age as everyone else in the academy. True, the students tended to push their limits as Kyuji had seen with many of them in his class and other ones that he met before. But, their chakra should recover naturally and it appeared from the report that hers was not. Yet, everything else was perfectly fine with her. This doesn't make any sense, but apparently she came with someone else according to the report but the name wasn't there for the visitor portion of the form. Oh well, it was time to go.

Slipping into his medical robe bearing his clan's and the village's emblems, he would begin to stroll towards the room seeing other patients crying in pain and asking for assistance. They would need to wait as this "Koizumi Tsubaki" case was the most severe out of the pile. Little Johnny's boo boo would have to wait and Rozetta's wound from battle would be fine with time. This Tsubaki case was a major problem in his opinion as he would open the door to the room and be met with a dark-filled room. He would simply push the lights up slightly to add some light to the room which would show the girl "injured" and the other girl who was sitting beside her with what seemed to be a upset look, understandably, on her face. The girl helping her friend was--no, it couldn't be--Samejima Naoki? He hadn't seen her since the Riyota incident at the Academy, but that was definitely her all right.

He would close the door and say sincerely as possible: "Patient, Koizumi Tsubaki. Visitor, Samejima Naoki? It is Byakko Kyuji, senior medical jounin on duty. Naoki, if you don't mind, could you please tell me what happened to your friend?" he would say as he pulled up a stool on the other side of the patient with a clipboard in his left hand and a pencil in the other to jot down notes.

Her heart was pounding in her throat. She could definitely feel it - the rapid pulsing above her chest that made her want to vomit. Has she felt that before? Surely she has, the sensation that one would feel before their stomach forcibly emptied their contents at times of distress. Then why didn't this feel like that? She's thrown up before. Plenty of times, in fact. But she knew that wasn't what was about to happen. How did she know? If it were to happen, it would've certainly happened by now, given how she'd been on a dead sprint straight toward Sunagakure's underground medical facility from the surface without respite. That could, however, bring other physical problems into light; problems she could not inherently identify due to her genetic condition. There was something wrong with her chest. Something that she could identify without observing. It was some sort of pressure, but not one that she normally felt. It was as if someone were trying to squeeze down onto her rib cage, to force it from expanding so that she couldn't take her next breath. While that may have been a symptom of over-exertion, it was also a symptom of hurt. Somehow, Mao was hurting.

"Tsubaki!" The breath she worked so hard to force inward could only expel that one thing, which was the only exclamation in the room after the girl had just burst through the front door of the facility, much to the shock of many both onlooker and staff. To clarify, she hurried to the front desk, hands reaching forward and gripping at the edge of the counter roughly enough to chip away the polish from the hard wood. "Koizumi Tsubaki. Her room." There was a measurable moment where the clerk was completely stymied, briefly looking over the distressed young lady before identifying what she could have possibly meant by the desperate statement. Checking the records, he responded with the appropriate floor and room where the patient was being held. Before another word could've been uttered in edgewise, Mao was already racing her way toward the indicated location.

None of this made sense. Tsubaki seemed perfectly fine this morning. Didn't she? Her mind was overclocking trying to come up with a reason. The last time Mao had seen her was when she came back home from her usual morning jog. Her parents were getting ready to head to the shop, and her siblings were eating breakfast. The younger brother played with his food, and the older sister yawned. Yawned. But yawns were completely normal responses in the morning, weren't they? Mao even had them from time to time. But something about Tsubaki's was off, as she instead stifled the natural response and forced herself to focus. It did happen from time to time, and she certainly never ended up at the hospital for such a thing. Perhaps she just wasn't much of a morning person. There were several explanations that could bring about the reasoning of such a case without raising any alarms. Then why was it that her own sister ended up admitting into a medical facility, and why could she not identify it in time to prevent it all from happening?

The questions were endless, and the answer was right in front of her. She just needed to make it there. It wasn't long after Kyuji's own entrance that Mao rushed straight into the room. The door practically burst open hard enough for the doorknob to leave a hole in the wall. "Tsubaki." She spoke before her mind actually registered who was laying in the hospital bed. Luckily for her, her older sister was resting where the clerk had said she'd be. Next to the bed, Naoki was worriedly looking over her, which was where Mao would quickly join her at the bedside. Her labored breathing indicated that her lungs were fighting to suck in enough oxygen to keep up with the exertion her body had clearly expressed to get her here so quickly after the messenger's notice. Now that she was standing still, her body unexpectedly tensed, her arms and legs stiffening before relaxing enough for the student to move her hands onto the edge of Tsubaki's bed. Mao's head turned toward Kyuji, as if just noticing his presence. "Sensei." She no doubt recognized him from the ninjutsu class she attended, though her gaze looked somewhat dazed. Her body suddenly tensed again, muscles stiffening in response to the amount of stress her body went through. Her limbs were cramping, but it looked as if she somehow couldn't feel the overwhelming pain that should come along with it. Instead, she focused solely on the doctor in the room while she was somehow unaware of her body being on the verge of collapsing due to exhaustion. "What's wrong with her?"

"H-huh?" Naoki's hand jerked back, reasons unknown. Did it seem to be too personal after all? It might've been something she didn't want anyone else to bear witness to, but she composed herself relatively quickly and managed to get a coherent answer out to the man, sitting back down on the little stool. "Oh, um... Yes, that's me, I'm a friend of Koizumi-san's. You're the mednin assigned here?" She had a vague sort of recollection of this person, and felt like he wasn't someone anyone would want to mess with. "We were taking a nap in Undersea after she finished practicing the water walking technique... She was doing alright up until a certain point I think, went out a bit too far into the water... Is she just out of chakra or something?" She has personally never heard of someone losing their chakra to this extent, since really there weren't too many situations in which regular academy students were forced to use their chakra so much it was still mostly depleted the next day. And what was with that dream? Why did she remember Tsubaki so clearly now in not one, but two dreams in which she's felt like she was in more danger than she could handle?

Mao entered at just about this time, right after Naoki finished her question. Oh, the little sis... I guess her family was told already, that's good. Though having a lot of people hovering above you might not be the most pleasant feeling in the world, having those people be her family and not some random hospital staff is most likely for the best. "Mao..." You'd think she would find it easy to hone in on signs of bodily fatigue, but aside from the soft beeps of the machine telling her that Mao was twitching in places she shouldn't be twitching for fear of just doubling over in pain from all the cramping she couldn't tell that much was wrong. She got up from the seat and stood a little closer to the upper end of the bed to make room.

Shaking her head, she continued, "Is it okay for us... me, to stay here? Will the talking disturb her recovery? And how much longer will she have to be on bed rest?" She did still have that bad habit of trying to fill up any silences with questions. Sometimes it still was helpful, but when people were trying to do their jobs it might have been a hindrance. Catching herself far too late, she snapped out of questioning and tilted her head down, letting out a little frustrated sigh and waiting for an answer. There was a good deal of worry she mustered on a regular basis, towards anyone else that happened to have been either injured or tired, but this felt very significant, this feeling. She could feel her chest tightening up, and hugged her stomach, folding herself into a little bowing figure.

Mere moments after he had entered the room, another figure busted through the door nearly knocking the door off its hinges and asking about Tsubaki which he could make out clearly as Koizumi Mao otherwise known as the earth-user in his class from a few days ago. However without her little friend, Azusa, around she didn't look herself and obviously wouldn't in this situation as it was a serious case for Tsubaki. Both her and Samejima were showing clear signs of fear for their friend as neither looked well as they seemed pale, sick, and even on the verge of collapsing. If he couldn't give any good news to them, the patient count in the hospital could rise substantially in a matter of minutes and with the lack of medics already in the hospital, it would not be the ideal situation. The only problem for the two visitors was he really did not have an answer to what was wrong with her since he had just gotten to the hospital minutes earlier and was just put on duty. However, he would try to give them some response in order to try to relieve them. "Naoki and Mao, you are both free to stay here as long as you like as you are not disrupting her or anyone here. But, please do take care of yourselves as we are short-staffed as it is and I don't need you two admitted too. Is there anything you two would like to eat or drink? I will pay for you two." he would say solemnly as he looked at their patient and tried to conjure up the strength and words to tell them exactly what was going on with her, but he couldn't do so as he just had no idea what to say. His hands would begin to shake slightly as he placed the clipboard down and sighed.

He needed to calm himself down and if he didn't do so, then why would the others do so? He needed to be strong and he needed to do something...even if that something was not going to work. If the patient was allegedly drained of her chakra, then there was something he could try though he hated to exert that much energy out of himself if it wasn't the case. But in the current state of everything, he needed to try at least. Looking back at the visitors, he would continue to talk: "So she was just out on the water and ran out of chakra according to you and the medic that admitted her. It is quite believable that it happened but in all honesty, I am going to just try something and hopefully it will help her. Overall, she is doing well and is stable so she would probably recover in a few days, but I am going to try to quicken that for everyone so please give me some room to administer her."

He would then get up from his chair pushing it back with his foot and moving a little table beside Tsukbaki that was there for cards, gifts, flowers and what not. He would close his eyes momentarily taking in a deep breath as he try to empty his thoughts before opening his eyes up and beginning his procedure. He would unzip the jacket that the girl was wearing and lift her shirt up just enough to show the belly button. He would then take his right hand and place it on top of the belly button creating a seal[Medical Ward] around the naval while the girl's body began to glow from another medical technique known as Angelic Blessing. If the visitors were paying close attention, they would see his eyes were emitting a golden hue as he was focusing on the girl and his own body was radiating a green aura which was seen moving slowly from his body to hers. He would look at the two if they were still around as say cautiously: "I am using two powerful medical techniques to transfer some of my own chakra into her body in the hopes that it will give her enough to recover and awaking from her comatose state. If I would collapse, I need yous to go get another medic for help. I never have down this before so I have no idea how long I can maintain this nor if this will even work."

He would turn his attention completely back to the girl as his eyes would close and he started praying that this would work for her and that he wasn't wasting either of their time. It had to work, what else would work if this didn't. "Come on. Don't fail me...please....please work." he begged in his thoughts.

Her body perked slightly at the sound of the girl speaking next to her, turning her head toward it's source. Perhaps she just now realized Naoki was there; it was something she'd ordinarily feel bad about, if her mind were not so muddled with the news that was delivered to her. The fisherman's daughter ceased her nervous barrage of questions, and Mao couldn't help but take a moment to notice her position on the matter. She moved her hands over her abdomen and leaned down. Was she having trouble breathing too? Was she also feeling what Mao is having so much trouble trying to discern? If so, then why? They couldn't have been friends for too long, after all, given the amount of time either of the girls have been in the underground village let alone the academy.

'Please do take care of yourselves'. Those words were first to register in her mind before she could dwell on the unknown for too long, the girl looking down at her body once her muscles tensed again uncontrollably. She'd strained herself to get here so quickly. She mentally chastised herself, knowing that if she had pushed too far and collapsed there would be less attention focused on her older sister's mysterious ailment. Regardless, she didn't take any time to inspect for broken bones or sprained joints. Either she knew that she could handle the stress, or she didn't want to waste any more time before hearing the doctor's diagnosis. Her breathing began to slow again, though it was still stressed, likely due to the worry of the comatose sibling that lay in front of them. Her head quickly shook and uttered a meager, "I'm fine." in response to her sensei's generous offer. She didn't need any care, and if she did, she certainly wouldn't admit so now.

Mao's movements were a little stiff, taking a few small, quick steps back at her doctor's urging. "Ran out of chakra?" What could Tsubaki have done to strain herself so much? She couldn't recall any previous instances of this happening with her training, even when she went off on her own to do so. The girl glanced down, trying her best to think of something that could've caused this; she had to have noticed some sort of precursor to this, right? If not, she should've. She should've been there for her. Her hands were loosely bound together in front of her as her mind continued to race, fingers idly fidgeting as a strange heaviness weighed down in the pit of her stomach. A reminder to take care of herself snapped her out of her small stupor, turning her attention back toward the blind girl that stood next to her. "Hey Naoki," she looked genuinely curious for a moment - if not at the amount of worry the genin showed for Tsubaki, then something else that was on her mind, "Was Tsubaki tired at all before this happened?" She wasn't present when her swimming competitor recounted the events that brought her here to Kyuji.

The records that Kyuji brought in with him contained no obvious signs of any particular ailment. Over exhaustion from either stamina or chakra were both somewhat common among the more irresponsible of the shinobi, both student and veteran alike, but those were often sent home within a few hours with a few stern words and a shake of the doctor's head. Medically there was nothing which could be determined about her condition outside from what looked to be a combination of sleep deprivation and dangerously low levels of chakra. Despite this, she was comatose and unresponsive to any of the staff's prodding and appeared completely oblivious to even the slamming of the door as her loving sister barged into the room.

She gave to resistance or movement, aside from slightly shallow breaths, as the medical shinobi lifted her shirt and began to work his medical magic. For the first dozen seconds there seemed to be no obvious effects. She had no cuts, bruises, scrapes or wounds to heal after all. As he continued though, a strange sensation would slide across his body as he continued to pour chakra into her. It almost felt as if it was not only readily accepting the chakra, but pulling on it, forcing him to give more and more as he pushed onwards. The expression on her face softened and her breathing began to become slightly less labored, but the metaphorical rope of chakra that he was feeding into her was being forcibly pulled in at an ever quickening pace. The reading on the machine to the side of the bed which had been brought in to measure the chakra levels of the patient began to elevate, though the numbers would be foreign to both Mao and Naoki, the medic would be able to tell they were above critical levels, but were still rather low. While Kyuji would not know exactly how, he could feel that if this continued he would be put in his own personal hospital bed if he continued this for more than a few more seconds.

Having one of her relatives here was calming, and her breathing steadied a little. Plus, the offer of food and her following realization that she shouldn't just be worrying about food at this point snapped her out of that state of over-worry. "O-oh, I'll be okay..." she replied weakly, and stopped to listen to the explanation before responding to Mao's question. "Yeah... She was practicing her water walking and kinda fell in afterwards, but we took a nap almost directly after... Weirdly though she seemed even more tired than she was before the nap for some reason, and..." Naoki's eyebrows had been inching closer together, and were now bunched up as close as they could get with the distress. She tried to remember if Tsubaki had seemed that tired before the nap and if it was possible that the nap just had no effect, but at the very least she could still sign before she took that nap... Afterwards, she heard what she thought was just a really tired voice. Is it tougher for her to sign than to talk? I guess it probably is, since it's more moving and stuff... She probably was that tired then! It didn't take very long for her to fall in though... Did she just come in from training or something? If she'd managed to actually push someone way too hard after they got back from training, she'd never be able to trust herself with training others again. But there wasn't much of a way to tell, so for now the only reason seemed to be that she was indeed pushed too far.

Naoki's posture straightened out but her head remained bowed. She did pay close attention to the mednin currently performing some kind of technique on Tsubaki, but didn't feel like she could lift her head up at just this moment. She heard Tsubaki's breathing change slightly, and tilted her head as she caught onto this change. "...hm?" She felt a little spark of excitement and relief before her mental functions were restored and she tried to process how she might be able to help here. So, she just needs more chakra? Is it something I can try... I don't know the technique though. Could I learn it fast enough to help maybe? It'd probably be faster to try and pull another medic in here right? She took a few steps towards the door, head now back to its normal position and turning to tell them where she was going, for courtesy's sake. "I'm going to try and find another medic! It seems to be working pretty well!"

He would stare at the girl as he continued to press his chakra into her body to try to get her chakra levels higher and awaken her from the comatose state she was in, but it was slowly getting harder and harder for him to keep going as he was sweating profusely, panting heavily and his body was starting to grow weak as he was losing his chakra quickly. At this current state, he was going to collapse from exhaustion if he kept going and this would just prolong this procedure and status of this girl. The chakra levels had increased significantly so it appeared the exchange was working, but he couldn't do it forever so he would stop which in turn would lower the chakra levels slowly. He would look at the two girls and use the last bit of his energy to dash to the room to stop Naoki from leaving which she would probably bump into him as she was talking. Slowly, he would look at them both and say hesitatingly, "It is working, but I am losing my chakra too fast and I am going to collapse if I don't stop. I am going to get on my headset and get a medic-in-training to assist me so I will be right back. Don't leave the room, keep Tsubaki company and I will get back as soon as I can. If you see anything really bad happening, please yell down the hall for me. I will be just down the hall on my headset."

He would excuse himself as he summoned his headset from a summoning scroll and put it on turning to the frequency for the general medical ninja channel. He would then place the "mic" to his mouth and say slowly: "Paging Kumoni, this is Kyuji. I need your assistance in Room xxxx. I also could use any other help from other medics that are free. Also anyone near my office, please bring all the drinks that I have in there as I am going to need as many as possible." He would then place his headset back into his scroll and tuck it back into his pouch. Slowly, he would walk to the room again and stand outside ingesting some of this drinks that would give him energy and slowly recover his chakra that he had depleted. If the girl's body wanted to suck his chakra quickly, then maybe using the number advantage against the body or using outside sources of energy would help him keep going. What he knew right now was he needed his assistance, Kumoni, right now and quickly.

[OOC: Prob less than stellar. Sorry Guys!~
Headset call to Kumoni.]

Kumomi was doing her normal rounds, aiding the different doctors in the role of Nurse. She was actually rather slow though. She was doing more grunt labor than anything. She had replaced bed clothes, disinfected residential rooms. Helped tidy up the emergency room, and even aided in passing out medications to the elderly wing of care. She let out a sigh, this was not what she had originally had in mind when she joined her branch, but nonetheless she knew this was where she deserved to be. Before returning to the nurse's break room she received a page from Kyuji. Raising an eyebrow she quickly entered the room and grabbed her medical apron and placed it over her burgundy dress. On her back would be the symbol of the Medical Branch of Suna and her name was across her shoulders. Kinda like a jersey if you really thought about the overall design.

As she made her way to the room she saw her sensei enter the room as she rounded the corner. She took a deep breath and calmed her nerves. Making her way to the room she noticed a young girl in the bed, two more beside her, and her sensei. She smiled to them all as she entered the room.

"Hello Kyuji-Senpai, how may I assist?"

As she spoke a swarm of Nano-Mosquitos began to visible come from under her dress and hover around her. Each mosquito was made from wood and metal and a ticking chakra would keep them automaton-like. She stepped closer to her sensei and looked at the girl. It was quite obvious what was ailing her, chakra exhaustion. She looked drained, but she was confused why she was here. Someone at Kyuji's level should be able to practice the necessary steps with ease for a common treatment like this. Afterall students were constantly over exerting themselves.

Trying to make sense of how Tsubaki could've gotten this exhausted, she glanced down in thought as Naoki confirmed her suspicions. If exhaustion is what caused her chakra to plummet to such dangerous levels, then it was possible that sleep deprivation was the culprit, which meant that something was keeping her awake. A tiny frown curled her lips, the sinking pit of worry welling up in her stomach again while recalling the previous memories in her childhood when Tsubaki was incapable of getting a good night's rest. Was it possible that her mysterious nightmares had returned? It's been such a long time since she's had any incidents regarding night terrors, she had convinced herself that it would never happen again after that strange day.

Before she could ponder on the unfortunate possibility any longer, her head lifted, watching her older sister's expression finally relax as her sensei administered the chakra transfusion. A deep breath filled her lungs, a moment of hope fighting the crushing sensation that kept her heart pounding in her chest. She was getting better, right? She looked like she was getting better. It was then that her attention spread up toward the man treating her, watching his energy drain at a rate alarming enough to exhaust himself. Mao couldn't boast upon having any medical knowledge, but surely the student should be no problem compared to an experienced medic that must've done procedures like this on a semi-regular basis. Did Tsubaki really need that much to stay alive? And if she did, how much more would it take to bring her back to healthy levels? The numbers the machine displayed to the room were completely worthless to her, which only made her wonder whether or not this sort of treatment could stabilize her. If it couldn't, how far would they have to go to do so? Or was it possible that there was nothing they could do?

The endless questions Mao posed to herself were killing her, crushing the small flicker of hope she felt as Kyuji excused himself from the room in order to call in back-up. She tried to calm herself down, fighting small breaths, reasoning that the medic just needed another body to feed her sister chakra to save her. Seeing as the procedure had finished for now, the girl rushed back to her sibling's bedside. What did he mean by something really bad happening? Tsubaki looked relatively okay now. Were there dangerous side-effects to what he'd done to her? Her gaze focused down onto Tsubaki in the midst of her peaceful rest, her expression unable to conceal the feeling of impending doom. A hand instinctively reached forward, palm sliding over the back of her sister's hand, fingers curling and threading between the other girl's for a secure hold. Since she could remember, Mao was always under the protection of Tsubaki. She watched and cared for her, which was far more appreciated than she had ever bothered to convey. When is it that she can finally begin to return the favor? She's undergone so much training to become a steel wall against danger and violence, only to find Tsubaki fighting something she couldn't see or comprehend. In this current situation, she was useless, and nothing could hurt her more. "What's wrong with you?" Spoken in a soft tone, struggling to hold what little capacity remained against the worry for her loved one, as if Tsubaki would somehow open her eyes and tell her exactly what was wrong and how she could fix it.

The doctor's return didn't go by unnoticed, along with his newfound assistance. Why were those tiny things floating out from beneath her clothes, and what is the purpose of those machinations? They looked somewhat threatening, but she couldn't deny any sort of treatment that would bring Tsubaki back to good health. Mao's hand held it's firm grasp onto the unconscious patient, unwilling to tear away from her sister unless it was necessary for their next attempt at curing whatever ailed her.

Moments would tick by as he waited for his trainee to arrive as he continued to consume more and more energy drinks that were giving his chakra levels a much needed boost but it was taxing on his body as he was getting into a sugar rush and his tummy was starting to feel bad. It was not the ideal thing to do to your body as a doctor constantly lecturing about how people should live their lives, but this was an emergency. After consuming around his fifth drink, one of the other medics on duty brought a box with all of them that were in his office and he smiled at her as she went back to her rounds as he placed the box inside the room near the light switch. As he was placing the box on the ground, he would see his apprentice enter the room and smile at everyone in the room as she would make her way to the bed of their patient as well as Kyuji.

She would then question Kyuji on how she could assist him and he would take a deep breathe as he looked at the girl laying on the bed and the machines that were hooked up to her. She seemed to be fine but there was still work to be done as he would return his eyes to his attractive assistance and say solemnly: "Her chakra levels are depleted, but when I tried to give her some of my own chakra, it seems her body is sucking it out of me at a rapid pace and I cannot keep up with it. I called you here for your help as I think if we both use our chakra that we may be able to get her levels higher and where they are suppose to be. I also believe that your nano-insects might be able to help us in this case as they might be able to enter the body and find the source of the problem and correct it if there is something internally wrong."

He then turned to Naoki and Mao and could see that their expressions and body language had gotten worse while he was gone momentarily. He knew how taxing it was to see a family member or a friend suffering as he would place one of his hands on each of their heads and tried to fake a smile at them. He would then cross his arms as he spoke to them: "I promise you that she will be okay. I just needed some more help and we will be getting her good and ready to leave the hospital after some rest and exams. You both may stay if you want or go as before. Actually, why don't you two go take a walk while we work on her for a little. We will call for you when we are done."

He would then turn his back to them and mouth to Kumoni that he needed her to help him get them out so they could truly go into work on this girl. This was going to be a challenge and if push came to shove, they would need to do everything in their power to get her to recover involving cutting her open or running tests that may or may not cause a normal visitor to get ill and feel sick in their little tummies. He didn't need to have more people collapsing in the hospital today nor people vomiting over something he did.

[OOC: Tsubaki said we should continue this roleplay as a free-for-all(FFA) meaning post when you can still there are a lot of people in here.]

Kumomi paid little mind to the other girls in the room, her job to aid Kyuji and help save this little girl. She listened to her sensei explain about the girl's chakra system's complete depletion. She stepped over and grabbed the small clipboard at the foot of her bed which had to be filled out with the absolute basics upon entering the hospital. She made a handseal before allowing a puppet take the clipboard from her and flying it to the nearby desk space. The puppet would then shift into a caterpillar. The information on the paper would begin to glow blue and layers of information began to cocoon itself around the puppet creating a storage system that the Kugutsu Clan calls the Caterpillar Copy Jutsu. She smiled, before turning back to the patient. It would be her job to probe this young girl and discover her ailments.

From the corner of her eye she could see Kyuji mouth to her that she needed to get rid of the girls. With a nod an insect clone started to develop behind as thousands of puppets crawled from under her dress and formed into an exact replica of the kunoichi. The clone stepped up to the girls and gestured towards the door. "If you would please... Tests will have to be taken and we have very strict policies here to maximize our effectiveness during such tests. I will wait with you outside relaying any information discovered by Kumomi or by Kyuji. So if you would follow me."<i></i>

Waiting to see if the girls would leave, Kumomi turned to look at Kyuji. "I can send in my Nano-tech but we will both need to administer restorative chakra. I haven't done this before and if anything goes wrong I would like use to be able to already be fixing the problem."<i></i> She raised a single finger and a spider puppet crawled up onto it. She would raise her other hand before looking at the girl's side. Her hand began to emit the restorative green chakra as she took it to the girl's hip. "The fattier section of the hip would help prevent scarring."<i></i>

Kumomi lowered her hand down to the patients side and made a small incision, no larger than 1 or 2 centimeters. She placed the spider puppet on it and it placed one of its legs on the wound. The single leg popped off and started to make joints in the different sections, looking much like an earthworm before entering the girls body. Kumomi placed her Medical Jutsu on the wound and raised her other hand into a handseal which summoned a few puppets from her side pouch. The puppets had varying scrolls with them and they floated over by the wall at the head of the bed. Unraveling they would reveal the nervous system, cardiovascular system, muscular structure, and the chakra system.

Pointing a finger at the core of the chakra system, the pit in the stomach where the spiritual and physical energies combine to make chakra, she would begin explaining her plan. "I believe that there is something causing a bloackage here. So if I send my little nano-puppet there I should be able to get some information as to what is happening in her chakra system."<i></i> She looked at Kyuji with a light in her eye, trying to prove she wasn't just some two-bit nurse. "This would be a good course of action, correct?"<i></i> The puppet in the girl's side twitched a little bit as it waited with anticipation for the Medical Specialist's opinion.

Wh- wait... No... Flinching into an expression of indignation after being told to exit the room, Naoki found that she didn't exactly want to stay, but she didn't want to leave either. It wasn't that she didn't want to look on as her friend had some kind of procedure performed on her, it was just... It was for the best right? Shouldn't she leave the room, let the professionals do their jobs? I should go... I can't exactly do anything anyway, I'll just get in their way... It was times like these that made her question her path in life. What was she doing with it? Odd jobs, bona fide grunt work that pretty much any hired hand could do. She was quickly losing her way in life, and probably had to go back home to try and regain it, but she couldn't... Not while something like this was happening, even though she still couldn't do anything about it. For all the time she spent training, it would probably have been better spent learning that chakra transfer technique or studying something that might have been able to tell her that Tsubaki had been far too exhausted to practice water walking of all things, a technique that required sustaining a certain level of chakra over an unstable body of water.

All the regret in the world couldn't do anything for her now though. Would she stay, or leave? She stayed silent there, unmoving for a few seconds as she began to feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end for some reason, chills going down her spine. Blood pumping rather loudly, she was confused momentarily as to why her body was responding the way it did. It's not like Tsubaki would be in any danger with these mednin around, so why...? She couldn't possibly have felt like she needed to be there watching over Tsubaki, did she? Or was it just the lingering guilt, and that inexplicable want to make things right by figuring out a way to help somehow, if only by being there and feeling bad about what she felt she did?

Eventually, she shook her head, left hand at the back of her neck as if trying to calm herself down. Shakily, she responded, "A-alright... Could you leave the door open though?" She couldn't hear things very clearly from behind a door, though it was possible if she strained herself a little. She did shuffle on outside like a good little girl, regardless of whether or not the request was complied to. She would give a short bow as she left the room, standing right next to the door frame. If Mao exited the room as well, she would try to apologize after a few seconds of silence. "...sorry. I couldn't get her out of the water fast enough..."

While Tsubaki received the student's maintained attention, she certainly wasn't unaware of the current situation the doctor was explaining to his assistant. It seems chakra was all that she needed - so much so that her body was desperately trying to drain any open reservoir, and it was something that everybody had. Then why couldn't Mao help? She had chakra, and was more than willing to give it away if it helped bring about her sister's safety. The hold she had on the comatose girl laying before her tightened, as if through some amount of focus and willpower she could lend her energy without bothering to take the time to master a skillful medical technique. Much to her chagrin, this was one thing that she could not force her way through.

This was annoying. More annoying than losing a fight or a bet. She was tired of the thumping feeling in her throat, and the rotten sensation that broiled in her stomach. The complete worthlessness - existing in this room with no purpose other than to give a distressed patient some emotional placebo that had no hope of working. There could've even been some semblance of comfort if there were something she could've done before this happened; something that she missed and would look out for in the future. But the cause of her exertion was a mystery, at least so long as Tsubaki was unconscious. It didn't take long for that boiling feeling to rise, and force her to spill forth a portion of her burdening worry. "Really?" The question aimed toward Kyuji, her incredulous tone setting the stage for her outburst. The girl turned to face the doctor, the volume of her voice rising slightly past appropriate indoor etiquette. "Can you really promise me that? Do you really even know what's going on? What if what you think is right could hurt her?" Each open question only brought her to escalate, visibly baring her anger to a point where she was practically trying to verbally punch the man trying to save her.

People work under distress in different ways; Mao in particular opting toward confrontation. Fortunately, she wasn't irrational enough to keep up this movement for long. She felt anger Kyuji, but only because she was directing it there, because directing it at herself did nothing to affect the situation she was in. Instead of helping, she was becoming a distraction. When the assistant's clone stepped forth in an attempt to help usher the visitors from the room, she took a deep breath, a small shaky exhale signifying her finality, though her frustrated expression refused to budge. Her hand tentatively parted from her sister's as she turned and walked out of the room after Naoki. Once outside, the silence was a little tense, doing very little to cool herself off before the genin delivered her apology. The blind girl couldn't exactly see what was running through Mao's mind, but she could sense the girl's head suddenly tilt toward her, and heard a scarcely detectable gasp of breath - as if she were about to say or possibly even shout something in edgewise. Instead, there was nothing but hesitation and more silence. In the moment, Mao was fully intent upon turning her misguided anger toward the friend that should've noticed a problem before it occurred, but the look of sincere concern on the blindfolded girl stopped her before she could make that mistake. A second was finally taken to regain her faculties, forcing her frustration to cease. "She didn't drown." Hinting that Naoki's water-borne training wasn't to blame. This likely could've happened to Tsubaki while she was on her own, too, with no one to take her to the hospital. "Don't beat yourself up over something you didn't do."

Standing and looking at Kumoni, he would hear her insect-replica clone tell the two younger females to please leave the room since they were going to do tests and that it would relay information to them. A clear silent thank you was said to Kumoni from Kyuji as the relative of the girl on the bed and Naoki Samejima both voiced their personal thoughts towards at Kyuji. Samejima's was the mellower of the two as she just asked if Kyuji could leave the door open for her and he nodded to her, but he wouldn't have time to respond as the words escaping Mao's mouth pierced Kyuji like a bunch of tiny shards of glass which made him frown at her. He understood her concern and anger at him for not discovering the exact reason for her blood's condition, but it was no way to talk to someone who was working his ass off to try to figure out what was wrong, it angered him at the tone in her voice. But luckily the two young ladies left the room after the little blowup and Kyuji would crack the door for Naoki before returning to the side of his apprentice and their patient.

His apprentice would turn to him informing him of what she believed would be the right course of action and even provided charts of the numerous systems in the body. She had decided to make an incision in the fattier part of the hip and he nodded. She would then allow her puppet to enter the body much like she did for Kyuji when she performed on him and he smiled as it seemed she had a grasp on the situation. To assist his assistant, his right hand would glow the traditional green aura for a medical jutsu and he would place his own hand on top of the girl's hand to administer twice the amount of chakra to the wound to keep it from bleeding and to heal it quicker. He would nod at her and say calmly: "It is a reasonable action to do, but be careful using your chakra as she depleted my chakra rapidly. I brought drinks along that will stimulate our bodies and replenish our chakra. Either way, we need to be careful regardless as I haven't truly seen a case like this that a body is eating away others' chakra so quickly. It would probably be best to record this in our medical records for her and to have the information for any future problems associated with a condition like this."

He then would look at the machines and the patient's condition as he finished speaking. Her chakra levels were still lower than expected, but they seemed to have slowly gone up since Kumoni's puppet had crawled into her. Her heart rate was steady and her breathing also seemed normal. Hopefully this puppet of Kumoni's could figure out what was wrong with the girl internally that they could not see and help them figure out what was truly wrong with her. It somewhat annoyed Kyuji that he had been a medic his whole life and could not crack this condition by himself and that his assistant was going to probably show him up, but at least she was proving her worth to the branch thus far.
