Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kumomi would nod at her sensei as he warned her of the chakra depletion. She understood. Sending a surge of chakra into the puppet it would begin its search. The young Mednin in Training would close her eyes and sense the emissions coming from the puppet. The deeper and deeper the probe would go the more and more its energy was being syphoned. Kumomi let out a sigh. Then something sparked her interest. There was another source inside of this child. She quickly turned to look at Kyuji before explaining on what she sensed.

"Sensei, there's something else in here... I sense another chakra. I don't recognize it. It's not the same sort of energy from this girl, it's lighter. It also doesn't contain the traditional blue sensation to it, but more of a white."<i></i>

At this point the chakra of her probe would disappear. She sent a single chakra string of considerably more immense power into the path to pull the worm puppet out. She let out a sigh before closing the wound.

"So besides absorbing her chakra, you may have already noticed that this chakra is also absorbing the chakra of things around this girl as well. If I had to make a guess how how much chakra was being absorbed compared to how much is being retained I would say 25:1"<i></i>

She let out a sigh before raising her palms up to her shoulders in a shrug.

"So, umm... I'm clueless on what to do Kyuji-Senpai"<i></i>

Keeping his chakra steady through their connection, he would watch his apprentice sending a surge of her own chakra into the body through a puppet string and something would catch her attention. He would see the reaction on her face was giving a surprised look to say the very least and then as the words were escaping her lips, he could hear the concern in her voice as she informed him that there was another chakra force inside of the girl that wasn't related to hers and was lighter and had a white sensation. His eyes would widen as his apprentice would give the diagnosis that this other source of chakra was devouring other sources of chakra and the girl was only retaining a very small amount of the chakra that was being absorbed while they were exerting a much higher quantity of chakra.

This was definitely not good for the medics nor the patient. A leeching from this other chakra source was a problem, but from the way it sounded the other chakra source and this girl's were connected and trying to remove the unknown source would practically kill her. Death was not on the menu today luckily for her as Kyuji was not going to give up a life to study this mysterious force in more ideal conditions. But what could they do? They practically were helpless and the poor girl's relative and friend were waiting outside of the room for something from the medics. He couldn't go out there and tell them that they had no idea what was going on so he sighed and scribbled down on the patient's sheet that there was an abnormal source of chakra inside of her before placing the clipboard down and sighing. He would then sit in one of the unoccupied chairs as he closed his eyes and twiddled his thumbs at this situation. On one side, they could continue to apply more chakra and hope her levels got to where they needed to be. On the other side, they could just let her rest and monitor her levels and see if they recover or if they start going back into the lower levels which they probably would since the parasitic source was consuming her chakra before they started. The other side was to try stuff and hoped it worked so that is what they were going to do.

Looking at his apprentice, he would stand up and say as calmly as possible: "We cannot keep giving her chakra if that abnormality is in there as it would take hours to even get her chakra levels to a reasonable level and even then we risk her levels dropping again as that other source seems to be like a parasite. Now, we both know it isn't a parasite or it would remove itself eventually and we can't just try to remove it as it will probably kill her as it is keeping her alive right now acting as another source of chakra for her. The only thing I can think of is trying is a miracle to describe it best. I think we should try to connect her chakra system and that source together but your nano-puppets would be the best to do this as they can get down into the body easier and we won't have to cut her up as much to do it. Is it possible for the puppets to separate the unusual source like break it up and connect it to the system?" By this time he was sweating and his face was getting red at his embarrassment of trying to describe what he meant. He would sigh as he continued: "Maybe connecting it wouldn't be the smart thing to do as it would leech on her more? Maybe we need to try to cut it from her chakra system but I don't even know if that is possible?"

His head would lower into his chest and his hands would cover it as he started to hyperventilate as he sat back down. If Kumoni was listening closely, she could hear the man's voice shaking with fear. "What am I doing?! I have no idea what to do and making a complete ass out of myself in front of Kumoni. What is she going to think if her sensei cannot even figure out how to fix this patient in front of her. Hell, I never have seen this case before in my life and surely nobody else has either but yet I get the lucky chance of dealing with this leeching source in this girl and her loved ones are worried about her. Ugh why can't I figure this out? And I am trying to be Sennin? Who am I kidding? UGH!!!" He would get up again but this time walk away from Kumoni and the patient. His body was shaking and his eyes were freaking out on him as he fell to his knees and grabbed onto his hair as his heart beat rapidly increased and he started sweating even worse than he was before. He was emitting unrecognizable words at this point as nobody could pick up what they were because his hyperventilating had gotten worse and he was gasping for air at this point. What would Kumoni do?

[OOC: If you read the other threads I am in, he is slowly losing his mind in them so I thought this would be fun to add to that record lol. Have fun, Kumoni!]

The soft beeping emanating from the machine and now the cracked opening of the door was telling her Tsubaki was being cared for, but she had no response to the girl's sister consoling her for her failure. Despite the words she was hearing, she didn't feel like she could pawn off her inability to sense how tired a close friend was on simple inexperience. She just wasn't paying attention. She had to own up to this, and the beeping was a useful yet painful reminder of the fact that while Tsubaki was alive, the genin had been the cause of the recent collapse. She had to do something to make it up to Tsubaki later... and the thought that the girl might not be there to make amends with crossed Naoki's mind more often than she liked in those few moments of silence.

Of course, it didn't take super hearing or anything to hear the mednin's breakdown in the other room. Registering somewhat slowly, her breaths quickened along with her thoughts, racing through her paranoid little head like dune beetles to a scrap of week-old meat. What does he mean he has no idea what to do?! He's the mednin! There's TWO mednin in there and neither know what to do? How did they even get the job if they can't handle exhaustion! Now hyperventilating, she tried to keep herself calm as she thought through any and all possibilities she could think of in that moment... and found absolutely none. She wasn't going to take this sitting down. What was the mednin doing having a breakdown in the middle of treating a patient? Currently, in her adrenaline-pumped brain, she could process nothing but how unreasonable of him this behavior was and would not take it lying down, especially when Tsubaki was in danger of death by chakra depletion. Without so much as a twitch to give away her intentions, her left arm attempted to break past whatever defenses Kumomi's clone put forth between the kids and the room, if any, by just jabbing straight into the room through the crack that the good doctor had kindly left open for them, pushing the door outwards in the same second.

If successful, she would force her way through and launch herself at the now slightly-unhinged nervous wreck and grab him by the collar, shaking him. "Snap out of it! There's no time for breakdowns right now, so get yourself back in gear and think about how to keep her alive!" Pausing for a quick moment to think about the best way to proceed, and readjusting herself with an apologetic bow, she'd continue, "Do either of you know a chakra expert? Doesn't even have to be a mednin, all we really need is someone who can tell us more about whatever the abnormality is... I can go get them, just tell me who to get!"

In the event she was stopped, if she'd already entered the room and was restrained she would calm herself down before apologizing for the interruption and wait outside, unless Mao stepped in, in which case she would stay inside looking confused and angry and jittery, wanting to help in some way or another.

((Sorry rl has been a pain so I am working on it to allow me more time to get on here))

Kumomi would let out a sigh. Her sensei was breaking down and now this child would kick herself in dispersing her clone. She would glance over to the two of them and raised her voice. "Would you please!"<i></i> The girl would let out a sigh before walking over to the cabinets. She wasn't having this. If Kyuji-Senpai didn't know what to do she would take her educated guess. She would open up the cabinets and began to tamper around with what was in there. Then something sparked her interest. Carmots. She would reach in and grab a carmot that was the size of a pinky nail. One this size could contain the amount of chakra of at least 10 shinobi. Shutting the doors she would look at her sensei to verify that she had an idea.

"No need to search. I have the entire human anatomy memorized, chakra system and all."<i></i> She walked over to the patient and placed the crystal on the right wrist of the younger girl. The crystal laid across her veins in a horizontal position. Kumomi weaved a few handseals before placing her palms over the patient's hand. A few insect puppet came from her sleeves and made a tent around the girl. A single puppet landed on the crystal before latching onto her skin, holding the crystal still. A green aura enveloped the patient and blue streaks of chakra would flash within in the shape of bolts of pure energy. This field could easily last a solid 24 hours and would release 400% the amount of chakra then her usual jutsu could muster.

"Kyuji-Senpai... I need you to check my field to see if the dimensions and pulsations are correct."<i></i> Kumomi would finally address the young girl. "You, child. We are facing a rare medical problem. I don't care who you are, if you do something like that again your friend may die because of your recklessness."<i></i> Kumomi wasn't in the mood for childlike behavior.

Heart rate increasing. Sweating repulsively increasing. Losing his mind slowly creeping. The mental health of the senior medic had been deteriorating like a corpse buried in the ground with worms and other creatures tearing at the corpse with the lack of air accelerating the deterioration. He was truly becoming a loose cannon because of his mental state as his wife had become concerned for him with his constant nightmares and screaming in their sleep; she even asked for him to seek help, but he had refused stating nothing was wrong with him. Hell, he looked normal and acted normal for the most part but it seemed stress and anxiety were the prompts that were eating at him and he needed to get this disorder under control or he was going to hurt someone or do something that he truly would regret when he came to his senses.

In his current state, he didn't notice the intrusion of Naoki into the room until she grabbed him by the collar and was shaking him. The shaking and the louder tone of the girl would've snapped someone with a normal state back to reality. Unfortunately for her and Kumoni, it didn't do anything as Kyuji's head would swing back back and forth before ending nose to nose with the girl where he would present a devilish smirk to her and begin to crackle with laughter. His eyes were glowing their golden hue at this point as he chuckled to himself before turning his gaze right into her eyes. "If you ever touch me this way again, I guarantee that I will knock you out cold or put your body in the ground. I will make a deal with you. You kindly escort yourself out of this room and I will graciously with Kumoni's help give you the ability to see. You try to refrain and I will personally assure you stay out of this room. Now, get the Hell out of this room unless you think you can do better than us."

He would wrap his hand around her arm and applied pressure to make her let go before turning to Kumoni and seeing her already working on Tsubaki again. She even had created a tent around the patient in order to conceal their operation from an outsider like Naoki. In all honesty in his little raged-induced mood, he hadn't heard a single thing that Kumoni had said and was seeing for the first time what she was doing with a carmot which he honestly had to smirk as it was a good idea on her part. He also looked at what she was trying and nodded at her with his eyes still glowing as he said devilishly: "It looks good to me, Kumoni. Even if she dies, we tried our best and we can learn from this experience. After all, bettering ourselves for the branch and the village is the most important thing that we can do...a little death here or there is no biggie hahahahaha!"

He would grab his head again as his facial expression showed the pain that his mental agony was taking on him. He would then look back at her and say cautiously with a look of anxiety on his face: "It looks good, Kumoni. I honestly do not know what we can do, but if this works out, you will officially be a medic and no more my little trainee. You have proved your skills to me and this is your test so show me what you can do!" He was confident in her, but this was going to be tricky.

He would then send a clone out into the hallway with Naoki and Mao. The medical assistant would look at them and begin to talk in a monotone: "Naoki, Mao. Kyuji wanted me to relay this message to you two. Tsubaki will be okay, he swears on his reputation and job that she will be okay or he will quit being a medic. He also apologizes for lashing out at you, Naoki, he lost his cool and would like to treat you, Mao and Tsubaki to an all-paid dinner at the Toraono Clan."

The girl froze, snapping out of something herself. "I'm sorry," she wanted to say. "I didn't mean it," or "It was a mistake." That was not the case. None of those things she wanted to say--no, she didn't want to, they were things she always fell back on, words she would use to lie through her teeth and placate everyone--corresponded with the way she felt right now. Right now, after watching the good doctor break down and completely breaking their trust in him, she was not to be placated with anything short of something that has the current focus of her being stop being unconscious and strapped down to a machine. That something was not a threat coming from a medical professional. Her face contorted into a face of livid rage, but before she could open her mouth to let out a guttural "WHAT?!", she caught herself. There was a pulsing sensation coming from her right hand. A sensation she felt only once before. The seal... Is it coming back? I thought it wouldn't do that again... The rage disappeared at a much faster rate than it had come, face blanking out into something like surprise.

If she'd been pushed out then she'd stand there in a bit of a stupor, leaning against the nearest wall to be sure she didn't embarrass herself further, otherwise she'd shake her head a couple times quickly and bow as she exited, shaken quite a bit more than Kyuji's head at the moment. She wondered what Mao must be feeling, and how selfish she was to have rushed in there before the person closest to Tsubaki right now, losing control like that despite being the older one in that situation. She's been silent the whole time, hoping she hadn't just made the "people Mao likes the least because she endangered her sister" list, and would likely carry on being silent until she heard the clone's words. Luckily (probably for everyone there, in avoiding even more complications), in her daze she missed the crazed laughter coming from inside the room, if it had been audible. "...no thanks." Uncharacteristically for Naoki, the refusal of a meal was not for lack of room; it was the lack of an appetite.

The scene was not dissimilar to an overthe top soap-opera at this point. With crazed doctors, strange illnesses and frantic friends all clashing together to form the perfect storm of disaster. To the side of it all lay the still unconscious body of Mao's sister, her breathing slow and light but steady. The single sane medical professional attended to her, working of a hunch while the other doctor and one of Tsubaki's closest friends clashed, in a manner-of-speaking. Truly, if her and Mao's mother or father had been there, there might have been a good chance they would all be leaving with the next caravan out of town after the display. For better or worse, however, it was only her sister that played witness to it all.

Oblivious, Tsubaki continued to lay there as the green field enveloped her and a portion of the bed she was laid upon. Blue streaks of chakra flashed from the shell to her body, powered by the strange little sandworm excrement that Sunagakure was well known for. Moments passed as the readings on the machines began to slowly elevate. As the seconds pass, the rate that Tsubaki's chakra levels increased at an almost exponential rate. The emerald hued aura began to shimmer as it sputtered and eventually faded as the chakra was literally sucked out from its power source. Only thirty seconds after Kumomi erected the rejuvenating field, a shattering sound erupted from the carmot as it exploded into hundred of small shard fragments that scattered across the room.

The readings on the machines began to slow and level off again as they finally reached normal levels, roughly eighty percent of normal. As time would continue to pass, the reading would too drop, but it would take days to reach critical levels once again at its current rate. The prior motionless body of the eldest Koizumi began to shift as she stirred, letting off a sleep filled groan. Her breathing sounded much less labored and closer to normal since she had first been admitted, and while the cause of the illness and explanation for the sudden recovery were unexplained, it seemed that its threat had passed... for the moment.

So, the little medic-in-training and close friend of Kyuji's froze into place after she tried to ail the patient. At this point, Kyuji's eyes widened at the predicament in front of him as the carmot shattered but luckily had served its purpose as the girl's readings were somewhat normal finally and her breathing had resumed in the form of a sleep-filled groan. The descendant of Byakko left out a relieving exhale as he continued to look at the readings as Kumoni resumed her frozen expression. What had happened that caused her to tense up like that and leave that deadly expression on her face. The man even put his hand in front of her face waving it and she didn't even blink; something was most certainly wrong and he didn't know what so he called for other medics to escort her out of the room leaving him and the patient known as Tsubaki alone.

He would then continue to look at the readings while monitoring the girl. She seemed to be in a relaxed state finally and her levels were significantly better than they were earlier today. Thankfully, Kumoni had thought of that idea and implemented it quickly to keep her at an above average level of health along with keeping her out of the danger zone for awhile. If the girl did not see much decline in the next hour or so, he would release her to her parents and sister to go home and rest since the hospital had other people needing a place to stay due to the recent terrorist attacks from the Cabel.

But, she looked fine to him and he would've left the other two into the room to monitor her as well, but he didn't need a mental breakdown displayed in front of them again. No, it was best if they stayed away for now and came in only when it was 100% safe for them and him. Now, he had to wait and see how she reacted.

After waiting a little bit longer, he evaluated his patient one more time and her readings were looking seemingly well. He nodded as his work was done and he walked out the door right by the younger shinobi that were waiting outside. The man then proceeded to his office and filed the paperwork with the rest of the patients for the day before retiring from the hospital after talking to the medic currently entering the hospital for their rounds. They would have a little bit of a lengthy conversation before Kyuji shook the medic's hand and walked out of the hospital towards his home to work for another few hours in the infirmary to try to get it up to his level of par. Man was it going to be a long night for the descendant of Byakko.
