Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Well, wasn’t this a nice Sunday excursion?

Parrying blows from what most would perceive as blobs of shadows, Suika, with her deft movement and acrobatic abilities, flipped more than a few meters back and entered a combative stance. As a bead of sweat fell from her brow and the feelings of anticipation rushed through her, she took a moment to recall how she ended up in this predicament. What misfortune led the young kunoichi to battle a horde of demons in Kumogakure’s Ancient Forest?

-Flashback-

It was the weekend, but the life of a Chuunin was seldom met with a break. With her newfound duties as a trainee under the Sennin, Suika found herself running around the village in attempts to accomplish the list of tasks designated to her. Most would find the errands she was assigned quite monotonous, but the ever-diligent girl handled each mission with utmost care and professionalism. She was proud to be here, and she was smart enough to know that these were the steps necessary to fulfill her ambition. “Stamps, please.” Handing the postmaster yen, she made sure to collect all receipts of each transaction she made. Apparently, any expenditure of currency, especially for the sake of the Sennin’s office, had to be recorded. Why? She had not yet asked.

As the kunoichi stepped away and went about her business, she suddenly felt an odd sensation. Her skin was suddenly filled with goosebumps as a cold, ominous air brushed against her. With her magenta eyes suddenly glowing with spiritual aura, she focused her sights to where her extra-sensory perception led. She saw a dark spirit, a demon, scurry away like a little lizard. It ran away from the market… what was it doing here? Suika, to her dismay, was no stranger to demonic forces. In fact, she often fought nefarious beings, which far surpassed any actual shinobi-to-shinobi combat. While she was ninja, she frequently felt more of a glorified exorcist than anything else. With her sense of duty against dark forces intact, the kunoichi sighed, hid her gathered supplies in a location deemed safe, and chased after the ghoul. What was she getting herself into?

“Damn demons, not today.”</I><i></i>

The critter was fast. She was hot on its trail, but the demonic entity managed to keep a few steps ahead. Suika kept to the shadows, as not to reveal her location, and awaited her opportune moment to strike. Before she knew it, she was in the Ancient Forest. The part of the expanse that the demon stopped at appeared devoid of humans. Animals in the area were either dead or had successfully fled for their lives. <I>“Peh. Typical.” Summoning her ethereal blade, Haru no Tamashi, the kunoichi, as if a predator, prepared to rid this forest of the demon. But like more times than not, this being had friends. This time, however, it was way more than she expected. Creature after creature began to erupt from every dark corner. Hissing, snarls, and growls filled the air. Suika tightened her grip on her spiritual sword. Twenty, she counted. Thirty. Fifty. As the expanse filled with demented beings, her head began to pulsate with sudden, wrenching pain. Her blade faded away, then reappeared, then faded again. The cycle continued as she crouched over and held in any audible reaction to this spontaneous occurrence. What was going on with little Suika? After what felt an eternity, the pain disappeared. Clenching her ghostly blade once more, she fixated her eyes at the expanse before her. They were met with over fifty slitted pupils back.

They noticed her.

Not taking a millisecond for granted, Suika immediately repositioned herself and readied herself for battle. Her cover was blown. She thought she did well in suppressing any reaction to the intense pain she had felt, but the demon’s still caught notice to her. It was beyond her how, but now wasn’t the time to dwell on the thought. It was now time to fight.

-End Flashback-

The combat-talented Chuunin was able, at this point, to defeat at least fifteen demons. Usually, she found relative ease in eliminating such foul creatures, but these ones proved more of a hassle. They varied in sizes, but it appeared they shared some type of hivemind as she assessed their very organized patterns of attack. Demons were chaotic in nature, so their uniformity challenged her. The kunoichi had a few close calls, but she was able to keep to her wits and instincts as she continued to slay demons. The girl was confident in her ability, but she was surrounded. Will Suika survive today’s encounter?

[OOC: To anyone who joins, note that Suika is fighting a large horde of demons! These can be "seen" as you'd like - feel free to mod the situation for your own character as you see fit. Let's have fun!]

Kaori woke up with a killer hang-over with her head pounding and throbbing. She was trying to get this young-lad, a local, to get drunk with her. It had been a while since she had anyone to drink with her or even spend any meaningful time with her. During her wait here with Yomi, Kaori began to feel lonely; almost haphazardly hoping that Maru creep would come around to pay her even the slightest bit of attention. As creepy and insignificant of a man that he is, at least he gives her the positive attention she desired. Asking for a bit of attention, when all one has done was go around the known shinobi world and kill demons, wasn't too much to ask was it? She had no desire for skinship nor did she have any desire to start a relationship; but having SOME friends aside from Yomi was something she'd like. She had no friends in Konoha, she had no meaningful friends in Tea, and she has no friends here in Kumogakure. This is what happens when one focuses solely on their duties and not on their interpersonal relationships.

She stretched as she sat up in her bed, the thin cloth sheets rolling off of her nude form, she shielded her eyes from the light peeking in through the curtains of her room in the local inn. Standing up, she walked over towards the dresser with the large vanity, reached to grab something and put it upon her face. A pair of glasses sat upon her youthful face with her examining how it looked at multiple angles. She spent a few minutes until she was happy with the way it looked. She had more than enough confidence to believe that, regardless of what she wore, she was beautiful; that even the glasses just further accented that. She had become fairly vane after the make-over upon her recently. The new, grown-up Kaori was a look that she absolutely adored; shedding away the childish appearance for one that she considered to be 'more refined'.

She re-adjusted her glasses and gave herself a confident smile and a nod of her head, assuring herself that everything she has done until now was right and justified. She turned her back on the mirror before a familiar feeling crept over the back of her neck, causing her to turn around and see her reflection in the mirror change drastically. "Set me free, Witch!" The voice rang in her head like booming thunder, causing Kaori to scream out before punching the mirror, smashing it into many, many shards. As the glass cracked and shattered, her reflection returned to normal. Removing her bloodied fist from the mirror, she quickly performed a minor healing jutsu to return it to how it once was.

"So there's one here, too," she exclaimed, stating it as a fact. A victim trapped in bondage by one of the dragon statues here in this village. Of course there would be. A village full of powerful shinobi would, of course, be filled to the brim with powerful and corrupt creatures. She shook her head to try to remove the thought from her head. Now wasn't the time to be hunting down those foul creatures. Now as the time for her to focus on herself and possibly make new friends. She walked over to the curtains, still in the nude, and opened up the curtains to see a black spectre fly across her window. Stress began to pile up within Kaori before she let out a loud yell. Expletives were shouted out loud, cursing her inability to lead a normal life. She flung together a couple hand-seals before starting a transformation sequence. ~If I can't lead a normal life, I'll just let HER take care of this for me!~ she thought to herself as she finished the transformation sequence.

Kaori's form had changed drastically to a blonde with heterochromia eyes wearing flamboyantly 'magical' clothing. The look of annoyance still present on 'Magical Girl Kaori's' face as she opened the window of the inn and jumped out to follow behind Suika, the one who was actually chasing after these demons. It wasn't until they made it out to the Ancient Forest did 'Magical Girl Kaori' stop to assess the situation. There was a young girl fighting a large horde of demons out in the forest. A part of her was conflicted. She wanted to help the girl out of sheer duty and she also wanted to just go shopping and damn the girl's plight. These weren't the demons she signed up to destroy so what's the point? The call of duty was too strong and with a single stamp of her foot (in protest) 'Magical Girl Kaori' leapt into action.

The sound of sparkles could be heard by Suika as she seemingly glided into the battlefield, causing the translucent red streams behind her to flow like contrails. With a quick movement of her hand, pressing forward, she set out a massive wave of energy in a long tubular fashion towards a group of the demons, knocking some of the lesser demons away with the sound of crystal sparkling. With her free hand, she summoned paper tags and threw them into one of the larger gathering of the demons and with a single handseal, causing a massive 'push-back', flinging all of the demons in the area far away or even smashing them to bits. A miniature 'Shinra Tensei' was used with the tags created by her. After the massive assault, she floated down and landed with the sound of even more 'sparkles' right behind Suika and fire billowed out of left arm before a shield, a brilliant shield appeared.

"Seems like you need help! Don't worry, I'm here to slay these vile creatures with you!" she said in a different tone, almost as if she took over another person's body. She gave Suika a coquettish expression and even made hand-gestures while doing so. She winked at the young girl with the sound of sparkles dazzling with her every move. Now, she has to come up with some goofy 'magical girl' name.

Suika considered herself an open-minded individual. Most things did not shock her, and she never really bat a bewildered lash at any concept or person. Demons, superpowered ninja, cleaning dishes… what was left in this world to truly surprise her? Nothing, she concluded long ago. There was not a damn wonder in this world that could leave her even remotely flabbergasted.

Then it happened.

Amid an overcrowded fight, a sparkling… woman? Yes, it appeared so. A glittery and serene figure glided in to the fray of battle followed by a trail of dazzling color. In that second, the Chuunin allowed her reflexes to kick in as she was momentarily mesmerized by her apparent fairy savior. She swiped and slayed a few imps, but was ultimately fixated on this theatrical stranger. “Who is she?” Was a query that instantly sprung from her mind. “Why is she-?” Unlike her flowy and whimsical way of being, the woman exemplified a terrifying strength as she demolished a sizable wave of demons. Her skills were impressive… but that wasn’t what caught the young kunoichi’s attention. Why was she so shiny?

A bead of sweat instantly fell from the young girl’s brow as the magical girl proclaimed her intention of assistance. Instantly, Suika tilted her head and conveyed an expression that revealed both confusion and gratitude. It wasn’t an emotional mix that she commonly felt. As the woman further assured the girl with a confident wink, the kunoichi’s feelings only intensified as she gestured with a hand wave, not really knowing what to do with herself. This was a lot for the typically cool-headed Suika to take in.

But alas, now wasn't the time to entertain further captivation. Angered by the second female’s aggressive assault, the fiends shrieked out. Then it grew silent. Suddenly, many of the lesser demons began to somehow merge with one another. One-by-one, two-by-two, all the tiny spirits slammed into each other as the spiritual energy in the area grew dense. “Shit.” Dashing toward the creatures with a readied strike, Suika was too late. A large burst of corrupt aura pulsated from where the demons fused as smoke filled the area. In its place was now a terrifying behemoth of sorts.

CB0Yep3.png

It towered over the trees of the forest, scaling at over forty-feet tall. Although gigantic, its nature, along with some special effect of the area they were in, shrouded its visual presence from most onlookers. Not wasting a moment, the giant demon gathered corrupt particles into what looked like the start of some beamed attack. With eyes that blazed furiously with spiritual energy, Suika’s ghostly blade grew ten times in size. She immediately leaped into the air and attempted to strike the beast. The creature was large, but it reacted quickly. It swept its long arm at Suika. Being deft in movement, the kunoichi managed to evade a potentially fatal blow. She immediately assessed the demon for any visible weakness or vulnerability. Channeling an illusion through her sword, it appeared to have no effect. Raw strength it was.

Luckily, Suika wasn’t alone. Attempting to position herself near the jaunty rainbow witch, Suika, with urgency, posed an important question. “Any ideas?” The woman seemed more than capable, so the Chuunin was open for suggestions. If not, then she’d continue her careful assault and try to destroy the behemoth herself.

She made a grand entrance and she noticed the bewildered look upon the local's face. A big grin came across Kaori's face before she landed and took her position behind Suika. The demons in this country are quite different than the demons in Konoha. These demons seem to be many and seemed to use their sheer number as sheer force. However, it was by Kaori's knowledge that the more that are thrown towards her, the more there were for her to destroy. Massive wave-after-wave of demons didn't stop her from eliminating them as quickly as they spawned from whatever hole they came from. While Suika hadn't asked for her name yet, this gave her more than enough time to come up with some stupid Magical Girl name as a cover so her real identity wasn't discovered.

The loud sound of shrieking could be heard which prompted Kaori to pull a tag out from between her cleavage and threw it into the air, causing a light blue, sparkling wave to emanate from it, enveloping the entire battlefield with sparkling light. Normally, she had issues with demons considered 'evil' without having had this ability. However, being able to manipulate yin and yang allowed her to change the advantage into her favor. Kaori turned to look towards Suika and winked at her, coquettish-stars were shot out of her blue eye before igniting into a blue flame upon reopening her eye. Everything now sparkled; herself, Suika, and even the demons were filled with the sparkle. This would be a dreamy scene if they weren't fighting these horrific monstrosities!

It wasn't until the demons started to coalesce with one another did Kaori begin to worry. They all clashed into one another and formed a much larger, much stronger giant. It towered well-over the massive trees and it's footfalls were enough to stir fear into a normal person's heart. She looked up at the demon with amazement and fear with the hairs on her arms standing on end. She trembled a bit before remembering the facade she was under before turning to look towards Suika and winked to her once more, struck a magical girl pose. "We can do it! There's no way we would let these demons take over, right?" she said as she held a hand out to summon a crystal blue sword in her left hand, holding the weapon with both of her hands at the ready.

She held her blade in-hand as she pulled out another tag from her cleavage and threw the paper at Suika, causing it to stick upon her with a glistening and sparkling barrier enveloping her body. It was then that Suika's blade grew to an enormous size and it's blade didn't do much to effect the demon. This caused Kaori to stumble a bit. If a blade that big wouldn't hurt the creature, then what? She had to think! If small bits of maintained damage doesn't work, then perhaps massive strikes that dealt high burst damage would do the trick. Kaori licked her lips and gave Suika a peace sign. "We gotta hit it hard and we gotta hit it fast! Alright?" she asked before pulling out yet another tag from her cleavage, her breasts bouncing slightly as she pulled out the tag and threw it at Suika. There was a feeling of weightlessness, as if the tag, itself, was manipulating gravity. She did the same for herself before launching herself towards the behemoth creature.

Kaori's blade started to envelope itself in a pure white light before she swung her blade up at the monstrosity, causing a ribbon of rainbow-colors to shoot from her blade and wrap around the creature's face. "Aim for the mask! Once we destroy that, we should be able to hurt it!" she shouted before grabbing a hold of the rainbow ribbon and pulled it tight as if it was a physical object.

As the magical woman kept pulling tag after tag from her rather voluptuous breasts, Suika blushed ever-so-slightly. Looking at her own flat chest, she shook her head. Now wasn’t the time to compare. “Not that there is any comparison.” Slashing at the monster with her now gigantic sword, the demon shot out a purple ray of energy. The kunoichi managed to dodge the blast, but the rainbow witch’s spell tag shielded her from any splash damage. After, both girls regrouped as the spunky stranger shared her rather helpful assessment with Suika.

The mask.

It seemed the obvious choice – she hoped her new ally was right. Wasting no time, the magical lady entangled the beast in a stream of vibrant and colorful lights. The demon shrieked and attempted to break through the bind with sheer force. Now was her cha- “Huh?” Suika was propelled toward the gargantuan with what felt like the aid of gravity. Gravity Ninjutsu, she theorized. With the skill of adaptation being her strong suit, the young kunoichi tightly grasped her blade as her body, for a split moment, revealed a burst of visible aura. The behemoth retaliated. Acrobatically twisting from the demon’s swipe, she landed on its body and rocketed herself upward. Suika slashed at the demon with all her might, utilizing her top-tier proficiency in sword taijutsu.

The mask cracked.

Recognizing the opportunity, she sent out a wave of energy from her blade that made direct contact with the demon’s face. ‘Snap’. The mask was off! The monster revealed no features. It appeared now as if a large blob of shadows. Falling backward and ready to stick her landing, Suika cried out to the magical stranger. “Now! Let’s finish him!” The kunoichi formed a seal as a dragon of shadow spiraled into the sky. Aiming it at the demon, she hoped to at least distract it so that the glitzy enchantress could finish the demon off. Ninjutsu wasn’t her proficiency, but she had a feeling the woman had something far more devastating up her sleeve. The girl prepared herself to watch the fireworks and, hopefully, the imminent end of this huge, vile creature.

[OOC: Suika cracked/destroyed the mask and is now distracting it for the finisher! Feel free to mod how you'd like from here]

While she was holding the rainbow-binding with her bare hands, she pulled on it tighter and tighter. The massive size of the creature caused her to readjust her grip. It started to buck around, trying to break free of the rainbow-binding, causing Airi to slide along the ground. Every foot she slid around was another foot she had to regain to keep tension on the binding. She grit her teeth and her muscles were stressed from having to hold the binding. Sweat started to pour down her forhead, looking like liquid sparkles. She looked up towards the girl flying up towards the creature before the creature broke out of it's bondage to take a swipe at Suika. This caused the Rainbow Ribbon to shatter, causing her to tumble backwards from all of the stored potential energy. After regaining her footing, she pulled out her Crystal Blue Blade.

It was then that a thunderous crack could be heard as Suika's massive blade shattered the mask off of the creature. The look of the creature, underneath the mask was nebulous with no real defining features. It was this strange, featureless appearance that could give someone the sweats; nightmare-fuel incarnate. Airi flicked her wrist and the Crystal Blue Blade started to spark slowly before the sparks started to increase in frequency, crackling louder and louder until it sounded like a massive flock of birds. She grit her teeth and forced even more chakra into the blade, causing the blue electricity surrounding her blade to grow to an ungodly proportion. The sound was now ear-piercing. She held the blade down with both hands for a moment before instantly vanishing from view.

She immediately appeared in front of the beast's exposed-face and attempted to plunge her blade deep into it's formless body. Before her blade was able to reach the creature, a strange barrier coalesced at the tip of her blade; halting her advance. She placed both of her hands upon the blade to help her penetrate through the barrier, only for the barrier to expand outwards, flinging both her and her weapon in different directions. Airi was capable of recovering mid-air while the Crystal Blue Blade tumbled blade over pommel until it stuck into the ground. She wanted to show a look of disappointment on her face, but she simply turned to look towards Suika and give her a thumbs-up. There was a sound of sparkling when she did this.

"Don't worry! It's just a simple little barrier!" she said as she held out a single hand, causing a massive ball to appear. As the ball grew larger and larger, she held her hand up above her head as a massive ball of sparkles started to flourish. After the massive ball of sparkles finished it's creation, it turned into a monstrous pink-heart. "Now for one of my STRONGEST technique!! Star-Love Ball!!!!" she shouted out. She knew it was corny as hell, but she was having fun messing about; even finally calling out her attacks -- which she doesn't usually do outside of this magical girl persona.

She threw the massive magical heart at the barrier and the two collided with the point of the heart acting like the tip of an arrow. Sparkles and sparks came from both the 'Star-Love Ball' technique and the strange barrier from the creature. The massive magical heart evaporated leaving only the barrier behind. There was a feeling of dread washing over Airi, Kaori's magical girl persona, as she had run out of ideas on how to break through this barrier. She thought about it for a second before snapping her fingers. She started to float down to the ground and held her hands up into the sky.

"I have to say this incantation! Can you hold him off for a bit so I can finish this spell?" she asked before holding her hands up into the air, gathering up energy. The energy she was gathering appeared to be sparkles, perhaps starlight, as the energy started to appear just above both of her palms. She's going to use her ultimate technique. She can't start the incantation until after she had collected enough energy. This was a devastating move, but something she knew that the creature couldn't contest. "Buy me about 1 minute. Don't let it hit me or it'll interrupt the cast!" she said as she remains firmly placed while casting this technique.

Shortly after Suika cracked open the demon’s mask and revealed its formless face, the colorful enchantress followed up with a sudden and electrifying plunge from her mystical blade. As soon as she attempted to strike the beast, a barrier formed between the magical girl and her attack – the barrier completely absorbed the blow. Where did its spontaneous defense erupt from? Suika shot the woman an assured nod as she distanced herself between the battle fairy and the gargantuan. She sensed the lady gathering immense amounts of chakra.

“Heh?”

Staying true to her showy appearance, the magical girl summoned a giant heart-shaped mass of chakra and hurled it at the beast. Although both embarrassingly mesmerizing and powerful, the barrier received no damage from the blast. What the heck was it made of? Immediately beginning to strategize her next move, the kunoichi was rejoined by the flashy woman. The stranger’s next directions were clear: buy her exactly one minute of time to charge some type of ultimate spell. Suika almost hesitated, but she knew they couldn’t afford to waste a second. She continued to trust in the rainbow witch, despite clear doubts. “Well, whatever you have planned, make it count,” she affirmed. Hopping between herself and the spellcaster, the 13-year old shinobi launched valiantly into battle.

One minute. How hard could that be?

Ten seconds. The Kumo Chuunin charged at the gigantic demon and effortlessly dodged a heavy swipe. She swung her ghostly sword, but it bounced off the barrier instantly. “Shit,” she cursed under her breath. What else could she do? Suddenly, the corrupt creature gathered energy around the base of its expressionless face. It aimed itself at the spellcaster below. Suika had to protect her!

Twenty seconds. The creature fired its blast down below, but Suika had a plan. Prior to this, the kunoichi had summoned her Ebony Dragon to distract the beast. As she maintained her creation that circled about, she used its body to intercept the blast. Any remaining she fended off using one of her most powerful slashing techniques: Heavenly Sword. Her defense was a success, but the demon was not happy. It roared.

Forty Seconds. Suika continued to bout with the creature, mostly just distracting it as instructed. Although sluggish in movement due to its massive size, the demon had a few tricks up its sleeves. At one point, the beast’s arm phased through the kunoichi momentarily and aimed itself at the magical girl. In reaction, the Chuunin unmanifested her blade and summoned a giant ethereal shield that wedged itself between the woman and the demon’s fist. It blocked its attack, but only barely. “Sorry!” she shouted apologetically as she landed behind the shield and managed to deflect the giant’s arm away. Exhausted, Suika continued to brawl with the beast.

Fifty-Nine Seconds. At this point, the young kunoichi was fending off the demon with fumes. Her chakra reservoir was so low that her ethereal blade began to flicker. Her senses were off, too, as she was hit by a few attacks. None were devastating enough to knock her out, but she was pretty close to that point. Holding back the demon’s melee attack once more, she grunted as beads of sweat ran continuously down her body. “Is it about that time?” She only had about a second or two in her left.

She lost grip. The demon started to push her back as it made its inevitable way toward the glitzy woman. Did Suika fail? Was this the end for our heroes?!

She gathered more and more chakra, taking on the form of colorful light rushing deep into her being. The rainbow-colored chakra rushed into her body as white sparkles, like stars, started to slowly discharge from her body; as if excess chakra was starting to leak out. She couldn't do anything else other than watch Suika tango with the giant monstrosity long enough to buy her time to collect this chakra. During this time, she watched the young Cloud shinobi use herself as a shield to protect her as she continued to gather energy. A big grin came across her face and a wink as she started to coalesce the energy within her; nearing completion of the charging process.

It was, as if, on queue that Suika's question would be answered. "Yup! Sorry for any of the damage this may cause," she said as she sent up the rainbow-colored chakra into a column deep into the sky. After the chakra dissipated into the air, Airi floated up into the sky using the anti-gravity jutsu she used earlier, getting a height advantage on the massive creature and pointed at it as if to mark it for death. "Go! Celestial Collision!!" Airi shouted out as the clouds in the sky parted with darkness enveloping the land around the group; as if something was eclipsing the sun. The range of the darkness grew wider and wider at an extremely fast rate.

It was now close enough for Suika to see what was causing the spreading darkness. What she saw was a massive meteor, the size of the Cloud's arena starting to fall down to earth. The trails left behind were of the same rainbow-sparkles that the rest of Airi's 'Magic' consisted of. The massive demon looked up towards the monstrous meteor and held up it's arms as if to catch it. Feeling the intense heat from the meteor, Airi zipped back down to the surface and grabbed Suika on the way down. After dragging her along, Kaori managed to get to a safe distance as she saw the mega monstrosity battle against the giant meteor. Suika could tell that this meteor is actually made up of a mixed composition of iron and chakra; mostly containing iron.

The meteor slammed into the Demon's hands, causing a pressure wave to fly out, knocking the duo back with the tremendous pressure it exerted. The meteor and the demon were in a tug-of-war with one another with the meteor slowly advancing on the demon. Trying to keep back the massive ball ended up shattering the demon's arms and then collided with the barrier. A high-pitched squeal could be heard as the Celestial Ball started to carve away at the barrier before a loud 'BOOM' could be heard. A crack was made in the barrier before completely shattering it. Before the meteor could reach the open-face of the demon, however, a new mask re-emerged to protect it from the tremendous blast of heat and light to follow.
3304856-7th_angel_cross_explosion.png

The massive explosion sent out a terrifying roar and extreme pressure, causing an extensible amount of damage. Once the explosion cleared out, Kaori pulled herself out of the rubble of the blast, quickly looking for Suika to make sure she was fine. "I think we did ---" she said as she got interrupted by the howl of the masked demon. After the ear-piercing howl, it released a death-wail. Airi had a look of disappointment in her eyes before turning to look towards Suika. The magical girl's eyes started to bleed, forcing her to cover her eyes in an attempt to dull the excruciating pain she was feeling right now.

"It's almost done. You can have the finishing blow," she stated with her usually 'chipper' mood. The blood coming from her eyes started to seep it's way between the fingers of her glove. The pain in her eyes was intense and is taking everything out of her to remain in a cool and composed manner.

As Suika was being pushed back by the demon’s mighty, unrelenting force, the magical girl answered her distress with a confident grin. Suddenly, the woman shot upward a vibrant, multi-colored beam. It stole the both the demon’s and the kunoichi’s attention as they glanced up at the sky. What followed was straight out of a story book. Suika felt immense chakra weighing down on the atmosphere as the clouds above parted dramatically. A humungous meteor descended toward the behemoth at an alarming speed. That, mixed with its size, made the devastating attack unavoidable. The demon shrieked as the spellcasting lady grabbed on to Suika and dragged her to safety. Curious, the young Ghostwalker kept her aura-filled pupils toward the falling jutsu. It was so big… so powerful.

Who the heck was this woman?

As soon as it crashed against the gigantic youkai, a blinding light shined across the forest as waves of force blew the kunoichi’s hair back. She squinted her eyes as the demon let out another pained screech. As soon as the jutsu subsided, her stare met the rainbow witch’s glance. Her eyes were bleeding. As the demon let out its final death wail, Suika shot the exhausted magical girl an assured nod. Summoning a much smaller version of her blade once more, the Mystic approached the beast. Most recited a type of prayer before purging a demonic spirit, but Suika wasn’t the religious type. Instead, she expertly twirled her sword and then jabbed it into the spirit’s faceless head. It slowly began to disintegrate as participles of corrupt chakra dissipated into the atmosphere.

The Chuunin sighed. The battle was over.

Dispersing her own spiritual weapon, the young preteen approached the obviously pained stranger. The girl bowed her head in respect. “Thank you, friend,” she stated gratuitously as she lifted her head. Her eyes then subtly narrowed with concern. “I’m not knowledgeable in any medical jutsu… are you feeling okay? I can guide you to a nearby infirmary, if you’d like. I don’t mean that with disrespect.”</B><i></i> It was clear that the chakra the woman expended on that massive jutsu took a toll on her. However, although glitzy and zany, every warrior carried some type of pride. Suika did not want to rob that from her.

<B>“Or you can stay at my place, the choice is yours.” She nodded after her final assertion. Looking around, the kunoichi took quick notice to how demolished the nearby area looked. A segment of the forest was cleared. Oh boy, was that not good. “Anyway, I’m Suika. Thanks again, uh…?” She placed her finger on her chin. That’s right, despite what the young girl dubbed her, she didn’t know the flashy enchantress’s name. “Who are you?” she asked casually.

It was finally over. Air took a deep breath in, held it for a moment and released. The pain in her eyes persisted, forcing her to place a hand over her her out of reaction. She moved her gloved hand from her face only to see a bunch of blood covering her glove. A surprised and devastated look came over her face. There was a brief glimpse of horror for a moment before Suika started to introduce herself. This cause Airi to regain her composure, if even for a brief moment, and smile to Suika as if nothing happened. The blood that was surrounding her eyes started to coagulate and harden. She removed her glove and used it to wipe away the thickening blood. "You can call me," she said before wiping off the rest of the blood, performing a twirl as rainbows and glitter followed her.

"The Magical Avenger and the Pretty Soldier; Airi!" she said before striking a pose, fingers fanned out over her face. She tilted her head and winked as sparkles and stars flew out the side of her face in a coquettish manner. She rushed over to Suika as she dropped the pose and pat the girl upon the head. She knelt down and started to pinch her cheeks. "For someone so cute like you, you are SUPER strong! You were a great big help, Miss Suika! I couldn't have done it without you!" she said before moving her hand back up to the top of her head, petting her with a big smile upon her face.

"Don't worry about the medical jutsu, I'll be just fine. Nothing serious," she said as she then struck a pose. "But it is time for me to leave now! Remember! Magical Avenger/Pretty Soldier Airi will be here to save the day!" she said once more before winking at her, yet again. She waved with her fingers before forming together some handseals and a bright light was used to conceal her exit!

"Magical Avenger... pretty soldier... Airi?" Suika echoed curiously as the once stranger held on to her wondrous, yet cheesy persona. The kunoichi's face scrunched as she processed what still felt like something ripped from a manga, but soon shook her head as her expression shifted into a lighthearted grin. “Pleasure to meet you, Airi-san. And no worries, you’re pretty formidable yoursel-" And then the woman pinched her cheeks. Suika almost winced at her touch and was tempted to pull herself back, but quickly decided to let it be. Airi was clearly quirky; she meant no harm. Suika smiled through her friendly, yet invasive approach.

As the woman posed and bid her final farewell, the young Chuunin saw her off with a casual wave. “Looking forward to it, Magical Avenger and Pretty Soldier Airi-san. Take care of yourself!” As the woman disappeared into some portal of light, Suika was left to herself. Looking around the now torn expanse from the aftermath of their grand battle, the girl sighed. “I’m going to need to alert village officials about this. This needs to be cleaned, pronto.”

With that the kunoichi was off. Although the conflict was resolved thanks to the help of Airi, many questions remained unanswered. Why were there a horde of demons in this part of the Ancient Forest to begin with? How did they gain the ability to fuse? Who the heck was Airi really? These queries left Suika unsettled, but her gut told her she’d find out soon enough.

[To Be Continued...?]
