Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Forgetting CA: Demonic Aura and Learning CA: Mind Ripper:

Having his beast inside him was always comforting to know that his unexpected bursts and unintended flare of aura had something to do with it. However, when he learned that he was a Jinchuuriki, Kiri was more than able to accept the curse that was born with him. This was no ordinary power for he truly believed it was what connect him and his brother. It was their bond, and so he would hone himself to keep the aura in check. He would always be aware of his brother’s moods and tendencies. In effect, he was unconsciously keeping tabs of his own demonic aura, especially when an incident with Komora got him to think about the possible consequences it has on others. Not to mention he had gotten on the wrong foot with others in the village because of it.

And so his months of training with his demonic powers seems to have reached a new level. He had gotten a good hold of it that he decided to evolve his normal threatening aura into something more define and controlled. That was, after all, what he had been working hard for. Control.

Thus, as he was on to test it out in his hunting games in the forest, he would eye the target creature, focus his malevolent aura along his hands. With immense speed, he would dash towards the creature, reaching it without much effort before slamming his fist onto the animal’s head, and sent the syphoned energy surging into his prey. It was quick and so he would step back and observe as the animal was in a panic. Kiri would avoid its lashes but would notice how there was something strange now. The animal would seemingly convulse violently, crash to the ground, increase its panic and seemingly be weak. As he took a step forward, the animal would raise its head it surprise and panic from the sight of him and begin to run away, but sanity would leave its mind soon enough as it would make for a suicidal crash to a nearby large tree.

On the ground, convulsing further and bleeding from its broken neck, Kiri would burn the image into his head.

Forgetting Nimble Hands and Learning Elementalist:
RP here: WC: 359
In the beginning, it was very important to learn to cast a ninjutsu or genjutsu using only one-handed seals. This was because he was a swordsman by birth. He cannot deny and he cannot fathom the idea of fighting without his beloved sword. But Kiri has long grown from such a naive concept. He needed to evolve, and simply being able to cast jutsus while armed isn’t the only thing he needs to become stronger. He needs to figure out his strengths and work his way with it in order to completely make good use of its potential. As such, he’ll have to innovate from some simple trick.

His eyes closed. His breathing perfectly still and calm. He was gathering his chakra along his hand that held the sword, seemingly letting it course through into the weapon. As he opens his eyes, he sees the sword having an unnatural glimmer about it. It was the chakra seemingly imbued into the blade just as he willed. But there was more it. He could feel that there was a surge of potential power within it that as he called forth a linear lightning strike that cut through space, it seemed immensely more powerful than normal. And as it struck on one of the dummies, he not only cut it, but the impact destroyed the dummy, scorching the path of the slice and blowing up the sliced off hay-covered bamboo as it fell in splinters.

As he repeated the motion again and again, he would send out more of the same ninjutsu, and each time, he could feel a different sensation. One felt more light, as if the chakra he used wasn’t as much but it was equally powerful or even more devastating. Another felt as though he had a better handling with his ninjutsu now. This would prove useful one day to him, knowing that with the growing power of his beast inside him, Kiri would have to get used to the elements that he find himself attuned with, and perhaps to be more proficient with their advantages. And this newfound power would be of great help to him.

Activating my Shinobi 101: KINETIC GEN to NIN ACCU

Kiri’s training in the past recent months were quite rigorous. He focused on being able to proficiently switch between tactics, allowing him to cover more ground, and figure out strategies on the go. As such, it was important to be flexible and to be able to adapt to the varying circumstances. As he move about during his hunt in the forest, he would always consider the possibilities of other predators out there, waiting for a chance to strike him down. Such was the real world, after all. And just as he would corner the target in the farther side of the forest, he came to a halt and hid amongst the trees. Eyeing the large creature, he would begin to form handseals, but this time, he was channeling the energy through a different method as he had been training his ninjutsu for quite a while. Without much of a thought, he would cast an illusionary jutsu using the very same way as he would for his lightning jutsu. The sensation was similar but the outcome was different. He had somehow managed to create a connection between the two types of jutsus and it worked perfectly to his advantage as he could easily follow it up with more ninjutsu as he assaulted the target.

Forgetting Ambidexterity and Learning Sixth Sense
RP here: WC: 279
There was only so much one can do with weapons. That was something Kiri learned as he fought with a pack of wolves near the lowlands. He may be quick to counter and attack, rally both swords to do his bidding, but there was still a limit to it. It was almost as if he could not concentrate as fluidly as before. But why was it so? He couldn’t answer at first. It only felt as though his instincts were lacking something even if his body move in accordance to the path of the swords. There was something heavily missing and he was getting unsettled over it.

That was when he entered the deeper parts of the forest to train that night when it occurred to him. He let his hands hang along his side as he stood in the middle of the small clearing within the forest. The shadows of the night covered all about him, leaving him to his senses. Of course, how could he forget the very first thing he was most comfortable at? How could he forget that he thrived in situations like this?

With his eyes closed, his spoke to his beast inside. Both communed on the stillness in the forest. Then, they would feel the movement, the footsteps, the snarling. At once, Kiri felt the presence and grabbed one of his swords, Nakigitsune, as he dove to the ground and swung upwards, dodging while cutting through the creature that attacked him. This was how instincts were supposed to be used. And as such, he never let his eyes off the limping prey as he neared it and struck on it one more time.

Forgetting Sixth Sense and learning Stalker

Kiri was still getting used to how he could further utilise his ability. He had only known about the truth of his birth, and his being a half Hasegawa. That pretty much explains why he and his brother had a higher chance rate of having an unstable cursed beast upon birth. He supposed it was better if the beast never actualised, but there was another reason after all. Coming from another clan with strong genes– the Nara– it seemed that the clan’s powers manifested even before his curses beast, which was the reason why his soul was corrupted from the ideals of the Hasegawa. But that did not mean he was worthless. Instead, it meant that he could actually forge a greater ability from it.

As such, he stood in the darkness of the shadows of the forest as he would forget trying to sense the creature he was hunting. It wasn’t so much about hunting the prey like a predator in a hurry. Instead, it was more of hunting the prey without being known. This was a better way– he figured. It was to attack without letting on his own presence. His beast inside seemed to like the idea anyway. With the way Kiri had been fighting lately, having a better awareness wasn’t faring well when he was well exposed to the opponent. But if he wasn’t even expected, that would make things far better.

And so, he stay under the cover of the shadow of the trees where he felt the safest while also being rather keen. From there, he would move unnoticed towards the creature he had spotted, but kept a good distance away. He then knelt as he let himself be washed over by the darkness around him, and from there, he would manipulate the shadows. Using the gift given by his mother, he formed his shadow jutsu and it would run through the forest floor, stretching beyond the shadow of the trees and grabbing hold of the creature. Immediately, it was immobilised. Then Kiri would follow with a neck breaking motion, causing the creature to drop to the ground. All the while, the shadow would retract and there would be no trace as to what happened to the creature.

Forgetting Sixth Sense and Learning Jutsu Mastery

RP here: (WC: 333)
The constant ringing of his senses in his mind was, at first, rather enlightening and helpful, especially when he would train for hunts. It allowed him to find his preys easily and concentrate on their every move. In a sense, it made him into an effective shinobi, but there were limitations to what it could offered. The thrill of the hunt was one thing, but his latest hunt in the lowlands had also made him realise that he’d need more than simply the ability to detect his prey. There needs to be a constant force that he could muster and maintain, overwhelming the target without pause. At least, that was the idea.

As such, for the past weeks, Kiri had spent most of his time in the training grounds or the arena, utilising the landscapes and creating different scenarios to work with. The aim was simple, and that was to focus on how he could improve his combination of jutsus. Doing so, he could figure out a way to capitalise on his intense assaults, creating a barrage without mercy, but also to keep himself well-prepared for anything. Because of this, he would have to build up his endurance.

It was only natural that the constant usage and experimentations of combination jutsus would allow Kiri to become more formidable in its casting. Quick handseals would guide the surge of energy before he would throw elemental shots, one after another at the unsuspecting dummy. He would also train casting while mid-air, or during dodging. He would not allow himself to be left unable to adapt to the situation. After all, if this was real combat, he may not have the luxury of time to castt his jutsus.

As such, it was important that he could master them, learn them by heart and muscle, and spirit. And in doing so, it would seem almost like breathing. Casting jutsus would no longer burden him as before and he could still put up a good fight.

Forgetting "Quickdraw" Ability, and Learning "Concentrated Focus".
RP here: WC: 350
While it was important for him to be able to shift between weapons, Kiri found that something was lacking. As he transitioned between Kunihiro and Nakigitsune while training against dummies, forming combination movements of a leap and a turn, prompting a switch between his two blades was somehow flawed. Indeed, the head of the bamboo target would drop without a problem, but something about the movement was just not sitting well with Kiri. It was almost as if he saw that he was open for attacks in the moment of the switch, even if he was moving rather fast. But perhaps there was a way to address this without risking his strategies.

As such, he would spend days to honing his combination of attacks. However, things seemed to have the same result, right until he decided to fully practice his Shadow Jutsu. But that would require a living target, and so he would go into the forest, where he could hunt amongst the creatures the lurked there. Upon spying a wild boar, Kiri quickly took into action, infusing his chakra into his shadow that slid across the ground and struck on the said beast. Trapped at where it stood, Kiri held that position as he tried to figure out what he could possibly do. However, he would let the beast go. Once more, he would give chase and this time, he bound the beast before allowing his instincts to direct his moves, giving him that open window to strike while the beast could not move or avoid at all. This allowed for a direct hit and judging from the moment his blade struck onto the beast’s body and through, he figured that this could be a deadly combo.

Rising, he would once more spend the night in that forest, training that bind-quick attack combo. And soon enough, he would come to realise that even his own endurance would increase, and his binds stronger than before. Now this would definitely allow him to have a better range of possible attacks combinations, and perhaps can even be used strategically for defense.

Forgetting Weapon Attunement and Learning Healing Factor

Rp here: WC: 329
A careful swing of the sword, followed by an acrobatic flip and a hurling of multiple stabs, finished off with powerful strike. The creature would not see that one coming as it falls to the ground with multiple wounds and probably on its last breath. Kiri looks at the dead animal with unflinching eye as he readies the sword to be sheathed. Just then, he would catch a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye and immediately step aside to dodge. However, it was a couple of large birds with long talons that cuts across his arm in the process.

Quickly, Kiri would try and swing his sword at them, but their fleeing form, unhindered by gravity, would easily evade his strikes. They would then turn once more and dive right at him with intent to make a meal out of him. This time, knowing he was up against unpredictable and flying prey, Kiri would forgo with his sword and charged his chakra along his feet before his shadows began to swirl and erupted from the ground. Needless to say, he brought down both of the birds in one swift motion.

That night, as he waited for the roasted birds to finish cooking in the campfire he made, and hoping Junko-sensei would like them later when he would arrive, Kiri noticed that the cuts he got from today’s hunt were seemingly gone. He examined the arm where those long talons managed to cut deep enough to get him angry earlier, but there was hardly a trace, save for a long red scratch mark now. As far as he could remember, he didn’t use any healing jutsu on himself. He supposed his training, thus far, especially with the way he manipulated his chakra, had allowed him to strengthen his internal constitution, which allowed for faster healing.

He mused at the thought and would think it was one of the few small things he had accomplished thus far.
