Weapon and Ability Training Approved.
Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Something felt strange. Kiri observed in his most recent training that his chakra flow was changing its nature the moment he releases them. It was almost as his own natural chakra was transforming into something unlike him. That bothered him slightly and though he was a bit busy with managerial duties and research studies for the hospital, he took some time to get in touch with Hogosha’s soul residing inside him. He needed to make sure that he wasn’t broken in any way, or else his connection with his souls would be threatened. Not to mention that he was still fairly new regarding what to feel or what to expect with his newly acquired power. It could very well just be a last spurt of puberty.
In any case, he would commune with the wise ancestor, accessing the deeper reaches of his soulscape to find the azure cave where the connection of his soul and the ephemeral world was at its highest bond. There, he would find Hogosha seemingly contemplating as he was watching over the glowing stone slabs. Kiri still didn’t understand exactly for what purpose those slabs were for, but he would ask that at another time. Instead, he would present him and his recent concerns, hoping to get a better understanding.
Regarding his changing chakra nature, apparently, because of the disappearance of the cursed beast, what had been his normal chakra flow had slowly been transforming to what should have been his natural chakra flow. This often showed in his sudden inability to control hid chakra or a spike in his senses. It was alarming at first, but then he was slowly getting used to it. However, now that he had Hogosha’s curse of the will, his chakra nature was changing further and this was clearly seen in his training. Often more devastating, and often more exhausting. Never the less, he was slowly getting the hang of it, and understanding the nature of the chakra allowed better control.

Years of hunting had been kind in Kiri’s growth. He knew that. It helped refine his strengths and technique, of which had resulted in his current form. From the days when he hunted with just his beast, to the recent ones when he would be on his own and no longer marked by the cursed beast, hunting had transformed from a need to release the pent up rage and energy of the beast into something of a meditative training. But now, he has learned of a different case. Hunting made him focus solely on the prey and with his recent trainings, he needed to expand his awareness. He would have to go beyond the limitations of a hunt and into a warfare that included all that he could offer.
As such, Kiri would learn from Hogosha one day about the means of how the Curse of the Will could be strengthened. One form was how his friend in the past, Ishikiri, had used an ancient sealing method to keep the souls in perfect condition– one that would transcend through time and space. But such methods would be considered the forbidden arts and so access to it would be scarce, if not at all completely denied. Still, it allowed Kiri to formulate a plan.
For the next few days, he would spend time in the archives of the library, searching through incident reports and using his connections with the Sentou to have the more classified cases. He was searching for any or all indications of a sealing technique that was used, from the normal chakra sealing ones, to the more complicated sealing of a jinchuuriki. Yes, there had been incidents in the past, him included, that had to be sealed and monitored. That much he was sure of. But details were still limited and so he would have to research further.
Junko once sealed him, and he had the knowledge and foundation of a strong clan, so Kiri would also seek help from the Tsuyoshi’s library, a vast collection of books from all fields. it would take Kiri weeks to finally gather enough resources and connect the details but he knew he was getting close. And when the next Full Moon arrived, he returned to the mystical lake– the part in the ancient forest where he could manifest his soulscape thanks to the concentrated energy from the moon that meets with the forest’s rich life and history. There, he would try to perform a sealing, a combination from his notes, the research, and the memory of Hogosha’s own sealing ritual. And since he wasn’t one to dabble with another’s fate, he could only try it on himself.
“Are you sure about this?” asked Hogosha.
“Definitely. It’s the only way,” said Kiri as he finished marking the seals on the ground before going to the center and began to gather his chakra. “I need to make use, even of my weakness in order to be stronger.” Waiting for a while, he would concentrate and cut a thin line along his palm with his kunai before he touched the ground and began to interact with the gathered energy. Slowly, he would feel the energy racing towards his open wound and the heat would emanate, sending a pattern through his arm, as if the blood vessels underneath his skin were aflame.
Before the night was through, Kiri would feel as though he had made a breakthrough, though he’ll have to test it some other time.

There was one gift that he learned when he had gotten himself lost in Leaf before. It was not that he earned the ire of Konohagakure, nor to be forcefully escorted back home. It was the bond that he made with a simply slug he met. That tiny creature was spirited despite his form and up to the very end, he cared for his comrades. He showed Kiri the act of kindness and loyalty that it would forever be part of his memories, long after Moro’s death. But perhaps in his own guilt to have not been able to protect the slug, Kiri hadn’t been calling onto the Slugs of Sakuna’s Forest lately. He had been too busy perfecting his new power that he was certain he wouldn’t have to put them in harm’s way. But that was stupid.
As such, Kiri finally gotten himself to return to meditating before he could connect his link with the realm of the Slugs of Sakuna’s Forest. Once established, he would finally train with them. Each of the warrior slugs had their own strengths and weakness, and so he played into them. Though it wasn’t easy as they would remind him just why they were so called warriors of the forest, Kiri was glad he was finally able to rekindle their bond– to grace his memory of Moro with such kindness. And so, even without his knowing, he was continually changing his own fighting style. Gone were the days when he had to rely only himself. Now, he had allies to trust and protect, and creating a firm foundation and trust was the first step.

It the recent fight with Junko, Kiri had proven that his need to train harder in the aspect of the sword was needed. Even if he was born into a family that was regaled as prodigies of the sword, he would still need to sharpen his blade. He simply looked ineffective when compared to the strikes that his father could do. But learning from the man as not enough. He began to train by combining the strengths of his chakra manipulation, allowing the energy flow of his body to converge with the appropriate muscle groups for each and strike. That was simply the beginning.
The next step was to enter in his soulscape. Who better to train with then the samurai who was famous for his swordsmanship in the past? Hogosha and his brother Eishin would gladly train him in the art of drawing the sword, from the fundamentals to the specialised. Kiri would learn both in his mind and in the real world. He would often summon Hogosha as they sparred in the coliseum’s training grounds. Each cut wound he earned was like a reminder of his negligence, but each strike he focused was a testament to his growth. If he could bare his fangs as a swordsman like Hogosha, he would no longer have to be someone who hid behind the power of his chakra alone.
