Azusa was pleased that Mao accepted her little challenge. And although Azusa enjoyed a good competition, it didn't exactly have to be a fair one. Afterall; the Blood of the Aikayume priestess was that of a Kitsune. And if that blood was worth anything, then of course Azusa would use trickery and deceit.
"...Do you like my hat, Mao-san?" Azusa asked, slowly tilting her head to the side, enough for the small chimes attached to it to ring softly. "It's pretty cool, right? I added the bell's to it myself. They're shiny, aren't they?" Her head went back up to a neutral position, before tilting once again, this time in the opposite position. Like before, this was accompanied with a bellchime.
And this repeated as she bobbed her head side to side.
Ching. Ching. Ching. Ching. Ching.
If someone claimed that the steady rhythm was hypnotic they'd be correct. The pattern of chimes was a trance inviting those who hear it into the the small priestess's illusion. The effect was nothing complex; it was simply a small Genjutsu that would weigh down of the listener's mind and make them abit...forgetful..of important details. Like, for example, the handseals of the technique they were supposed to be demonstrating! (Was that supposed to be a Ram or Rat handsign? Hare? Monkey?) "But you should pay attention..."
Handseals were difficult for her to focus with, and using her flute would be easy, but obvious as to what she was doing. But her bells? Fair game.
(Amnesia + Musical Casting)
"...It would be bad if you forgot the handseals right after Kyuji-sensei showed us."
Azusa's voice would almost echo despite her voice being soft and quiet, although this would only be apparent to anyone who had fallen for her bellchime enchantment. To those unaffected, she'd simply be speaking normally. And although Mao was her target, the beauty of her bells were that anyone listening in on them could also suffer from the same effect. The Genjutsu did have a catchy ring to it. *Ching. Ching.*

As for their class...Well, it seemed that the shy girl in the corner had upset their Sensei right before the next physical part of the class was to begin. The priestess let out a sigh; sure, she felt bad for the poor girl being yelled at by Kyuji since she was so shy, but because of that, they now would have to deal with an irritated sensei throwing sharp objects at them, rather than a patient one. I mean, his eyes were radiating with chakra! Azusa couldn't help but get a chill up her spine...
(I'll Body Switch the very first one and improve his mood), Azusa thought while stepping apart from the others, watching as Kyuji ran through the final instructions. Her eyes wandered through the class...Apparently dodging would not be enough. The goal was to not only dodge, but to do so until Kyuji had stopped attacking them. Did the others hear "through any means nessecary? Because Azusa heard no requirement, so thats what she took it as. Perhaps she shouldn't have used an illusion on Mao...But it was too late for that, she was either caught up in it or unaffected.
It began, and Azusa raised her hands eagerly, already in the first handseal position. "Watch me, Kyuji-Sensei." Her bold voice was a mask for her unease. The moment he threw the Kunai, Azusa began to form the handseals; Tiger, Boar, Ox (That kunai is sharp...) she noticed...and fumble, her fingers slipped, her concentration having been distracted by the knife. "W-whoa!!" She sorta fell over to the side on a hand and a knee, avoiding the kunai through a lucky reaction rather than a planned jutsu.
This wasn't good, it was easy to imagine her plan when Kyuji was explaining it, but when he was running around? It distracts her...she was expecting an easy win. Azusa scrambled back up to her feet and continued running, wanting to set herself up for a position to dodge. Her handseals weren't instinctual yet; she actually needed to consciously form them...no simple task when someone throws something sharp at you! Perhaps while Kyuji focused on someone else, she could prepare--no, he had quickly thrown another projectile her way.
Halting in her tracks, Azusa tried to juke to the side to throw his aim off...and her blood instantly froze; if this were anything more than training, she would have easily been killed right here, and she knew it.
(Was I moving so obviously? Was I that easy to predict?) Azusa's eyes were wide as she felt a kunai lift her hat straight off her head, and pin it to a wall behind her, the bells jingling wildly. A few stray hairs fell infront of her face, cleanly cut by the kunai as it passed between her now exposed fox ears while trimming the hair lightly from the side of one without drawing blood.
Truthfully, she felt dizzy...Her legs felt weak. "Th-that was..." A lucky shot? Azusa couldn't even come up with an excuse....
