Minamoto Suyashi vs Dokuso Maru [Round 1- Student Tournament]

The roar of the crowd could be heard in the distance it was clear that they were getting hyped to witness the fight that would be taking place shortly. As cheers and whoops could be heard echoing around the stadium it would be the fighters turn to rock up and make sure they were prepared to enter in the arena. It was clear that the time had come to step in front of the crowd and prove themselves in that few seconds that they had. This could change their lives for ever and it could see them spotted by a specific branch and they could even be elected to join if they were lucky.

“We would like to welcome the entrance of our new fighters. Give them a huge cheer as they prepare to enter into the arena!”

The announcers voice would echo around the arena as the crowd would grow louder in that split second. It was clear that they were all craving to see the new participants enter and begin their fight it was clear that they were desperate to see what would come of this fight and wanted to see who would be going onto the next round.

With the representatives from each branch checking out the fighters it would be down to them to enter this fight. At each gate there would be done of the ANBU each of them trained to identify the fighter that would come to their gate and make sure that they were the correct person before even opening the gates. With the announcement made each of the ANBU would open the gates and allow the competition to see their first sights at what they would be fighting in.

At the gates opened they would be able to see a massive grass area that was open to the crowd, there was thousands of people staring at the two combatants as they waited to see what was happening in this situation. Some of them peaked over the edge to get a better look at the combatant and even some of them would mutter between themselves as coins passed between hands as bets were placed from what they could see in that first second.

There would be the referee in the middle of the arena waiting for the participate to come to the middle before speaking to them. His words quick and soft as he spoke to both deciding to keep it brief and keep to the rules of the arena that had been set out by the organisers of this tournament.

“I want you all to keep this a clean fight, nothing to make this problematic. Remember that you must win by KO that is the only place that you can win this fight. Good luck and let’s keep this simple”

That was the only words that were offered to each fighter before they would be given the signal to begin it was now clear. This was the student’s time to prove themselves worthy in the eyes of everyone watching. They had to make sure that they took this opportunity that was given to them and grabbed it by the hands.

[col]Today the world stood still, His fight was announced to be against a boy that he'd never heard before and looking at the brackets upon his arrival it would seem that his suspicions were nullified. He and Kouza were to be on different sides of the brackets... which would mean if they both did well. . . that they would meet each other in the finals. Seemingly after no more than a few spars they would have their fight on the grand stage? It was a quaint feeling to have in him. Though, because of how it was laid out, Suyashi would get a chance to face someone in the first round but towards the end, he would peek his head out to watch a bit here and there eager to see the match-ups. Thus it was not to be because the feeling in his stomach seemed to swell with butterflies, his palms were sweaty and his mind was frantic. How could e manage to figure out this ordeal, against a boy he'd never met nor even seen around the academy? 'I dont know a thing about this guy... I guess I'll find out soon enough....'

The roar of the crowd only swelled at the action happening on the outside, heavy hitters, and deep saturated thoughts of Clans and houses that were placing bets on their prodigies to come out victorious in this. Many people would get their hopes up about all of this, but Suyashi was here to break hearts, and show that he wasnt here to just be another face in the crowd. Things were still going to be fascinating, because Suyashi would make the matches very entertaining. However, he did not go into this with the thought that he would lose. A loser's mentality was a loser's way of life. One could not go into anything with the thoughts of losing because you set yourself up for failure.

Finally his name with Dokuso Maru's would be called. It was his time, standing up he didnt even know what the boy looked like, nor did he care, it would be another person on the way to becoming the champion. The crowd would roar as Suyashi and his opponent would begin their long trudges to the middle of the field with the proctor waiting there. The grown swelled beneath them, there was a bit of debris from the other fights, the earth was scorched and mother gaia would be in a bit of pain with these pin pricks the students would give her today. "I got this...I got this...", Suyashi would speak to himself as he continue to his position before turning to face his opponent.

"May the best student win...", smirking finally he would allow the buzzing to commence around him. This would be quite the tale... Suyashi was quite ready for the events to follow.. but was his opponent.|

Ravens hovered over the sky, the young shinobi waited patiently for the name of his enemy to be called upon. He considered a number of people his enemy but today he got the chance to make another fellow academy student suffer, sob, and bleed in front of an audience. Minamoto Suyashi was the name of his opponent, Maru wondered what he sounded like when he cried. Unlike most shinobi in this tournament; a great deal of people didn't know who Dokuso Maru was. He was just well known for having a coffin case on his back, but there had also been a dark rumor that surrounded the boy and his family history that his opponent clearly didn't know about. But only a handful of people knew about his little secret and it would cause a panic amongst the village so it haven't been fully made public that this academy student…. Is a half demon.

Maru stood from his place among the crowd in the far back, walking down the stairs one step at a time with a confident smirk on his face. Everything about this boy seemed a bit off; his hair was pitch black, his skin was as pale as death. His black rimmed glasses had a strange glare to them that made it hard to see his eyes, his clothing was dark as charcoal lugging around a huge coffin case on his back that had the Japanese character 僻 which meant evil. He didn't seem nervous at all, nor did he seemed to even care if he won or not. But he was driven purely on his intent to make this opponent either install fear in him or to show this boy what a true monster was.

Causing pain, speaking of vile things, to turn these cheers of excitement into deafening silence is what it truly means to be demonic. However, even though Maru had already embraced being evil. He wasn't as evil as he wanted to because of his ties to his mortal side. Not enough hatred perhaps...

Maru would take his place in the center of the arena, standing in front of him was his opponent Suyashi. Maru tilted his head up so the glare in his glasses would vanish so the boy could see his eyes. Although they were usually golden, this eyes seemed to be red like hellfire peering into the Suyashi soul. As the man talked about speaking of the rules of the tournament such as keeping the fight clean, he could see the boy talking to himself to give himself a confidence boost. Then Suyashi flashed a smile at the fiend in human form saying ‘May the best student win.’ But Maru decided to reply to the boy. “You aren't afraid are you?”He asked in a sinister tone, looking into Maru's eyes was like staring straight into the pits of hell. "Perhaps I will have to change that. We have all match to find out what is it your afraid of. Heh Heh heh " he began to laugh darkly, a grin spreading across his face like a disease.

“I have a imaginary friend I'd like you to meet– she might be a blond but I'd say she's very sharp. Razor sharp… and she looks to kill.” Maru started to sound a bit crazy, although anyone knew that he was implying something. But of course he wouldn't know what that was until the match started. He began to unstrap his coffin case from around his shoulders, setting it next to him. A faint rattling of wood and a metallic sound could be heard from within the coffin case… Maru had already set the stage for him, and he wasn't gonna share the spotlight with his oppenet.

[col]Looking at Maru upon his entrance, Sushi boy thought to himself 'He doesnt look nice at all! I doubt he'll be friends with me after this...' shaking his head and shaking off those feelings. His presence alone shook Sushi. He wasnt ready for such things... he didnt know what it was. Maybe his eyes, maybe it was the demeanor that he held about him but Suyashi did not feel comfortable with this guy. He'd have to attempt to end this quickly, but that was impossible with the skills he had with him. However, he didnt have a ton of chakra to deal with either... No, he couldnt think about losing at this point. He had to think, think about his strategy.... but then Maru would speak...

Even his words seemed to hold so much malice intent with them, Maybe Maru was an orphan, most orphans were mean, angry people. They didnt have parents of their own which made Sushi blessed to even have one in his life. Looking around to the crowd as they would continue to cheer as they waited with anticipation for the fight to begin. The Proctor was speaking about the rules, keeping things clean and such... but Suyashi was unsure how clean it would be with the idea that this would end up being quite detrimental, but he felt like there would be openings he'd have to take advantage of... and maybe he would be able to. Who knew, but all in all, this was going to be quite the event.

"Heh, You're gonna have a tough time then, you and your 'Imaginary friend' will fall before the Prince of Lightning! I'll show you how to brew a true storm!", speaking with spirit he would clench his hands shut looking down at them and attempting to shut out any fear within his heart, because he would have to push through it all for this fight, the aura about this guy was off. At any pace... Lightning would begin shooting from Sushi's fingertips, he was ready...|

Maru stood toe to toe with his opponent, his glowing red eyes peering at his strangely joyful opponent. Like most students in the academy, the boy before him didn't have enough darkness within him. Most likely from being raised in better family household with values that sickened the Dokuso. However despite his resentment Maru felt against the boy for just having been raised with parents, the grin on his face grew wider. His opponent sounded confident, but he could tell that the boy had been nervous. The electricity from his opponent's fingertips showed Maru that he was ready to fight. So Maru decided to open up the coffin case only halfway so his surprise wouldn't be spoiled. His chakra threads attached themselves to the object inside. A sudden voice could be heard from within the coffin….

“WEEEEEELLLL HELLO THERE!!! HEHEHE ARE YOU READY FOR PLAAAAY TIME!!” a shrill girly voice yelled from the coffin through a distorted speaker. Suddenly the coffin would shatter into a million pieces to reveal Maru's best imaginary friend– his beautiful Kawaii puppet. The puppet was a lifesize doll, big blue eyes glassy eyes staring blankly at her new playmate and a mischievous grin that would send shivers down the spine of most people who looked at her. She had light, blonde hair with adorable pigtailed haircut and a extremely young plastic face. She wore a burgundy laced corset, a blood red dress to match with her corset and a white shoulderless feminine dress shirt that covered her small chest. It was kinda creepy how realistic the doll but besides the creepy smile and blank expression. What made the doll even more horrifying was her arms…

The ends of each of the fingers are tipped with serrated steel for drilling and the doll had also had a built in 5 inch knives in the palms of her hands will sure get her point across. She also had titanium stainless steel arms with an assortment sharp metal spikes and razors so she can give her opponent a big old painful bear hug… If the boy paid a little more attention to the dolls arms, he would notice that fresh blood had dripped from the dolls nightmarish arms of death. Of course he'll go onto explain what happened. “She had bandits to play with, but they didn't last too long. But here's something I'll do for you friend. “ with that his chakra threads turned from a usual blue color to a hellish blood red, his creation began twitching violently like she's having some kind of episode. Her glass eyes rolled in the back of her head, her mouth suddenly began to ripped open to show rows of razor sharp, endoskeleton teeth within a toothy smile. Her head starting to spin all the way around as the devilish chakra strings turned her from a horrific doll, to a hellish abomination purely to intimidate his oppenet. The drills beginning to buzz eerily, her mouth creation a metallic clang so her sharp teeth are locked together. Her head tilting over to the left side, her head stopped spinning to gaze at the boy with her eyes rolled in the back of her head.

”Consider my dolly now to be cursed.”. Dokuso said in a voice that seemed to show a little bit of his human side starting to slip away. The fiendish chakra taking whole of both Dokuso and his hellish doll. Taking a step closer, Maru’s Kawaii puppet decided to say what he was thinking in a sinister shrill voice that let the boy knew just what kind of person he was dealing with….

”WEEEEE ARE GONNNA KEEEEEEEEEEELLLLL YOOOOOOOU”. She said in a childish song as if it was funny. Not wasting any more time they both charged at the boy with a both of them cackling like little witches!!!

[col]Taking into account that he would figure things out eventually... and seeing how Maru was looking like a deranged mad man. Things would seemingly pick up, as Sushi would try to shake off the visuals that Maru was giving him. This wasnt at all to say that he was scared, but... Maru was making Sushi's Heart race a bit. Chuckling for a bit though, he could hear the chiming from the Leader box, this was quite fun hearing Tsukasa screaming out for them both. 'So Tsukasa taught him as well eh? This'll be harder than I thought...' He didnt have time to waste though with that weird thing out with all those edges and blades he would have to find a way around it... And get to the source. Though, he had some tricks up his sleeve as well, something he'd been working on. And he'd flash through a set of handseals before reaching up tot he sky and shooting a bolt of lightning into the forming clouds above.

"Ranton: Arashi no Me!" nodding at his work he would look back to the Demonic Puppeteer, he was charging up for something, like he was allowing his demonic aura to build up.. it didnt shake the Minamoto boy though, he was ready to put the petal to the metal from here out, but first he needed more power... thus he would case the rain to fall by manipulating the electromagnetic currents in the air with another set of handseals, "Ranton: Ame Odori!", nodding as the down pour would begin giving them a scene from Suyashi's past. Something that Tsukasa would remember.

Though as he'd release his jutsu he would see the Doll on him so fast that he didnt have a chance to move hitting him with the blades but they panged against his armor he had under his clothing ripping it up and causing him to fall and stumble backwards. 'Shit.' shaking his head that would have likely killed him if he didnt have his armor on. 'This is the life of a shinobi... This is life or death. So, lets take it as our first test... You and me dad. Lets go." nodding and finally standing to his feet after brushing himself off a bit. "Heh... You think thats all its going to take to take a Minamoto Down? You have to come at me with something harder than your play things to take me down! Heh, Simple tricks wont get you a victory at my expense today... Try again, kid.", and then it was time to get into battle once again... with that he'd zone in and get ready for the lightning show.|

Instead of although the lighting struck Maru he continued his assault, regardless of having taken the blow of two bolts of lighting head on recklessly. Maru instead laughed off the attack, his Kawaii puppet raising its hand to shoot out a large five inch blade from the palm of her right hand. Maru brought his hand down forcefully with a malevolent grin on his face. Although his mentor already told him to keep calm, it seemed like he didn't even hear her yelling from the sidelines! His goal was simply to try and kill this boy until someone either stops him from putting the boy in a body bag or if the “hero” manages to defeat Maru. Maru can already see that this would be half the fun, but now the battle had just begun.

”DIE!”​

Maru screamed! Kawaii laughing as she wildly attacked the boy with her razor sharp blade, but the boy managed to avoid a fatal blow by having that light armor on, so her blades tore into the boy's clothing. The boy stumbled upon contact then fall to the ground with Kawaii in mid swing. Maru watched as the boy stood up and begun to speak but Maru only allowed the boy to get to the part where he said ‘You have to come’ before going in for another assault while the boy clearly not interested in what he had to say. Speaking in a fight is pointless if you speak before an action it'll be interrupted as words are cheap and meaningless now and will only waste time and your opponent will attack mid sentence.

That is what his father usually would tell him before he died, but brushing off in thinking about a man who's maggot food by now he began to make his puppet attack the boy with a move he dubbed as ‘The Dance Of Razors’ and he hoped that his opponent had prepared been prepared. The doll speaking while attacking the boy before he had a chance to recover ”I wonder where I'll put his vocal box heh heh!” the fiendish doll giggled... Maru was fighting Suyashi with the hatred of a sworn enemy. He better realize that this boy is actually trying to kill him, or he won't last a minute with fight this demon.

Edit #1*: Surging Presence Rank 1 causes 100 damage per .5AP used with a weapon strike that uses melee accuracy. I fixed this to reflect it.

Two bolts of lighting began to rain down from the heavens, Maru dashed from side to side to avoid fatal injury from both bolts of lighting bolts with a twisted grin. Whipping his hand around he decided to attack the boy with his Kawaii by making her leap in the air and twirl her lower body in a similar faison as a helicopter twice while the boy was still talking.

One fabulous twirl, each striking the boy but those hits two strikes against Suyashi sent electricity straight to Maru right when he stuck him through the doll. Maru and his doll jolted, but made a fast recovery, looking up to see the water whip coming down on his head. Maru quickly thrusted himself over to the right side, the water whip missing him by an inch then Maru charged in for another assault, his middle and index finger jerked the chakra strings to make his Kawaii doll unleash her knifes from the palms of her hand and she giggled, seemingly having fun with herself. ”You better run! HEHE” the nightmarish doll said cheerfully. Maru brought hand up sharply then to raise both of her hands up and she brought her blades down upon the Suyashi head, she would had sliced him in two if she hadn't missed him. Maru and his creation both said similar things upon missing crushing the “Thunder Boy’s” head with the cold steel.

”DAMNIT!” maru cursed.

”Oh Darn” the doll said sadly.

Maru didn't even notice that Suyashi had already drawn his weapon, and he attempted to use ninja wire to bind him with and Maru was prepared to slice the wire in two…. But the wire fell by Maru's feet. Maru and his doll just looked down at the wire and shook their heads, disappointed. Then the two dash over to the right side, Kawaii opened her mechanical mouth to let loose a distorted roar from her speakers as Maru prepared for another strike. He brought both his hands over to make the shape of an “X.” Suyashi was doing well in surviving a fight against a true killer, but how long will his luck continue before it ran dry. So many people cheering this boy on, but yet in the end... Suyashi had to prove himself for the sake of his friends and family. Dokuso had nothing to prove because in the end....

Darkness will prevail…

[col]As the lightning would polarize to Maru's chakra he would find that this technique was still very taxing with the rain fall, though his chakra reserves werent anything to roar home about, but Sushi was definitely someone that could go on fighting for ages at this stage. He was likely the most endurant student in the academy. He had stamina for days, and he was granted with it because of his will never to quit on anything he set himself on. He would nod, the lightning would miss... 'Crap... No biggie, I can keep that up with no problem...' nodding he would think about the amount of chakra he sent into the sky for this, and demagnetizing himself and sending his ions to reverse unto the positive electrons that were now looking for negatives on the ground... His chakra gave him an unlikely strike, but he didnt care for that, not just yet... He had a cycle of chakra that he could use and soon he would use it to increase his stamina, making it harder to keep him down.

'This guy is hard... Very very hard to fight... but he's not refined yet. He's about as good as I am... if not better. I need to find an opening... Maybe if I use some water ninjutsu..' nodding he would form a few handseals as Maru would weave through with his doll, "Suiton: Mizu Muchi!", he'd speak before throwing down a whipof concentrated water down on his opponent but it missed him by a few inches, shaking his head he;d in the same motion pull his Tanto before revealing the Wire Trap in it, owever it fell short as Sushi aimed too low trying to catch him but alas he was wrong, in the calculations... he wasnt one for distance fighting anyways his aim from afar seemed to be getting worse by the moment, even now maybe he needed glasses or some sort of eye surgery to build up his sight, who knew... but after this he would definitely get his optics checked out.

"Tch.", for a moment he would look to the crowd cheering on the fighting, the Kage Box had Tsukasa and that beautiful eye'd girl he'd seen near the spas that day, and maybe this wasnt going to end the way he'd envisioned but he wasnt fighting like himself. He needed to pull something out of the bag of tricks. He needed to be himself and with a low huff, he needed to take some time to gain his bearings before he would continue. The Air around him changing as it would begin to grow more defensive... he felt the lightning in the sky begin to ready itself with another pulse from the sky but now the rain would begin to halt.

...I'm sorry Maru, but I cant let you face anyone else in this tournament... You may kill someone with those eyes and that doll, I'll have to end you here...", nodding he wouldnt be able to end it instantly but he had a plan in place, and in battle one would have to adapt to the opponent, any opponent, because with the set of skills anyone had there might be a way to victory. When protecting the village and its secrets, and protecting the Hokage and the Sennin, there would need to be someone either from the shadows or the front lines to do this. It didnt matter, but now Sushi's eyes changed... there was no more room to be innocent and just talk it out. This was the time he would need to be serious... this boy was trying to kill him infront of the entire village. What would he be if he died here? He'd shake that thought, dying was not an option not here... not now. Not to this boy. Focusing this time... Bolts would form in the sky... and he would take a step back poised for his next attack.|

[col]Bottled up in him like some sort of bottled lightning bolt he would finally begin to see that his attacks were keying in. One strike of lightning landing its blow as the other one seemed to crackle and mover away from the newly placed protons into Maru's body. The Positive energy didnt attract the positive charge of his lightning strike... however, it was definitely time to show the ideas that were plaguing his mind. Shaking his head he would look to the ground, drawing the Cane blade of his mother, he couldnt fall here. He had to show that the light would shine no matter how dark the situation was... He could feel his energy dropping. Failing him. However, he could go even further, he could continue to push and push until he would have nothing left, no matter what happened here, He would proclaim and take his victory by the horns.

No words were spoken from Sushi this time, he couldnt say anything... his eyes spoke the story. A Rat driven into a corner, he had to fight or take flight. And there was no running away from this. What if he was to be the one to hold off an army from coming into the village? What if he was tasked with leading the last line of defense before reinforcements came? He would take this ti heart... Because he would galvanize his partners, leading them to security that they could be victorious in the day of the fight. Leading the charge with vigor and passion, as cheesy as it was Sushi wanted to become the one that people wanted to become the Hokage but he refused because of the people who he stood by. He would never be amazing alone, but he was as strong as the company he kept.

Looking to the stands he would look again for her... but, he could not spot her just yet. 'I can feel you mother... I can feel you looking at me. Watch me... Please Watch this...' he would think as he eye'd the floating puppet with its master not far away. He'd created an opening with his attack and his strikes were becoming faster now. He was focused. Now was the time to get into gear... And now it would surge forth giving him a chance to take Fight through the darkness that seemed to want his mind clouded and foggy. What had he become?|

Maru started to smirk to himself, the boy seemingly saying something that actually begun to interest the boy enough for Maru to stop his assault to stand a few meters away. It seemed like Suyashi finally found out that his plot, but of course it didn't mattered that he knew about how he planned on murdering everyone if he continued the tournament. Maru decided to actually reply to the Suyashi's comment, he sounded normal for just a moment.
“Perhaps if I had the benefits of having friends and family that would always have my back at an earlier age…. ” Maru looked up at Suyashi, his appearance was less demonic and more like the child that he still was seemingly about to say something heartwarming…. But then Maru began to smile malevolently as his eyes began to glow red again, his doll began to twitch and they begun to charge at him. “NAH I JUST NEED MORE VICTIMS! YOU BETTER HURRY UP AND TAKE ME DOWN!”,

He had the smile of a manic, all rational thinking about this boy was out the window, the thirst to kill was even stronger than ever, all Maru wanted to do now– was to tear this boy to bloody pieces. Kawaii right beside Maru had the started to laugh maniacally as they charged full speed into battle. Two lighting bolts struck Maru, him and his doll became enveloped by the lighting bolts with smiles on their faces!...

Boom!

Dust kicked up into the air, Maru emerged from the dust with a even wider smile on his face with his kawaii squealing with laughter. Kawaii’s pretty dress was a little tattered which made the evil doll look more intimidating. Darkness began to fill the arena, but somehow this boy had a determined look on his face. There was no more words, no more foolery like earlier in the fight. This was a war between a deranged demon who wanted to kill students because he could and a heroic human who will stop at nothing but to protect those he held dear.


The ruthless Maru saw the boy going for his blades, electricity covering his entire body. Maru moved his hands into an “x” formation.

”EAT THIS!”Maru spat angrily.



Then Kawaii when she got close enough to bring both of her blades to slice her blades so she could carve an “x” in Suyashi blood. ”Chop! Chop! the Kawaii puppet said joyfully as she attacked the young ninja.

However that armor of his only made a scratch on his chest plate which gave Maru a quick shock, then Suyashi somehow managed to get past the nightmarish doll to attack Maru with multiple attacks with his cane blades. Maru was quite skillful in avoiding fatal injury by moving when the blade started to poke his flesh so it would only rip through his clothing. Maru drew backwards. Not bad…. Let's see this cockroach handle this attack. Maru thought to himself in glee, quickly weaving hand signs…. It was time to crank the noise.

[col]His mind was swift... but this took the tone that he would not be denied today, Sushi continued with his strike, making his movements more fluidly as the lightning continued to miss, but it was good that he was hammering this guy with everything. Though, he didnt want to use Taijutsu in this battle, however, the changing up of tactics was something skilled shinobi tried to do, and often failed in their attempts because of how one track minded some shinobi ended up becoming... This was no different. Sushi had to break out of the thought process that said he had to continue using ninjutsu to get out of this situation, but it didnt matter, he would manage something different. He was fighting now at his core and his prowess now would not be denied.

This time though he woudl sheath the blade one last time to get something off... something he knew wouldnt miss... something he should have been doing a while back, so with the edge now in his favor and his blade piercing through the skin of Maru he would find himself smirking. As now, the ball was in his court... if his chakra would just hold up for the next few moments. He would be able to find out more, deal more damage, but he felt the last of his lightning chakra leaving him, the only thing he could muster was the buzzing around his body that would slow down anyone who came up against him... and still now... even with Maru speaking out about friends Sushi tried not to speak, but alas he couldnt stop himself...

"If you werent trying to kill me maybe we could've been friends... But Now I have to put you down. You should yield and quit this fight, I think you and I know who will be the winner if this carries on..." nodding again he would move with the blades in his clutches, Maybe now he would be able to see the difference between them, when you fight for your friends, family, and loved ones, you cannot be stopped... nothing can hinder your growth from choosing to fight selflessly. To fight in protection of the village and all of her inhabitants. And now he would begin the slow shut down of Maru.|

Lightning bolts rained down from the heavens in an attempt to strike Maru, but of course they would miss and Maru chuckled believing that his genjutsu would ensnare his opponent but alas it didn't work. Suyashi was coming at him with everything he had, Maru moved over to the side to let one blow of his blade tear at his coat and but the last blow pierced through his skin. One would think the boy would scream, yell, or even cry but instead he smirked at the boy as black liquid dropped to the floor. Even Maru's blood was rotting and corrupt! Before Maru could even react the boy next technique caused multiple lightning bolts to strike out and attack Maru! He was hit by the bolts, Maru instead of screaming he laughed as though the pain was nothing. But of course he did do a good deal of damage against the demon.

All that talk about friends and family the boy talking again, telling him that he could've been his friend if Maru wasn't trying to kill him. Now he was going to try and put Maru down because he wasn't friendly in this fight with him.”I don’t need your pathetic friendship! ” Maru charged at him furiously, Kawaii suddenly dashed from behind the boy with blades sticking out! DIE ALREADY YOU COCKROACH!

While the boy had been talking about how they could be friends Maru turned his chakra threads invisible for only a moment so his Kawaii puppet would sneak up behind him and charge in. This boy that he didn't know nor care about was tough and Maru was enjoying his battle with him. Although he claims that this is his will to protect everyone from him. Maru knew that deep within him, he was fighting because he didn't want to die a failure. But by the way Maru charges into battle, the way he took hits head on. He didn't care much for his own life… after all death would be the start of his transformation but surely he wasn't planning on dying here by a slacker driven to protect all he holds dear...a

[col]'One step forward... Ten steps back...' Sushi was beginning to get frustrated... He was doing everything right now. He was in his element, using his blades, and nothing seemed to connect. He was moving so fast maybe though it was throwing off his aim. So he would have to slow it down a bit, he was running low on his reserves and this was definitely going to be coming down to the wire, but he was eager not to lose this, he would continue fighting until he had nothing left or if his victory wasnt in his favor. It took him too long to gain back the energy he'd expended, but he had more strategies up his sleeve, something he learned a bit ago... but he could only manage it if he did something drastic, with the lightning striking the earth there would seem to be many craters and exposed rock around the terrain...

'Hm, only if its last resort...'

"Hmph... Kouza..", he spotted his comrade glaring at him, he coudl feel his words berating him from the distance but he didnt have time to linger on that, he knew that in the beginning he wasnt taking the fight completely serious and it had gotten him into this funk. So he didnt want to continue with this, not like this and not in this manner, no more words, he'd zone in again, this time changing things up in his mind for the coming moments. 'Maybe, but that transformation jutsu threw me off, I'll be prepared next time for that...' nodding again, he noticed that his body had began to become sluggish. Declining a bit, he had to reverse this, and maybe what would come could help him. Give him more time... Who knew in all honesty... but it was worth the risk. And Sushi was a risk taker in order to keep Maru from fighting others who may not be prepared to fight this guy. Hell, Sushi had never seen puppets before today, but maybe he would have a chance to study them soon...|
