Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

This post is just to get my weapon down in my dojo.

Weapon: The Halbowd: Astrosigil
Tomo is skilled at bows, but they can be problematic when fighting in close combat. Therefore, Tomo had a special weapon crafted, calling his new creation a halbowd. It is a bow that can be shapeshifted into a spear. He specifically calls his weapon Astrosigil.

*Note: I am rping it as one weapon while system-wise I know it is two weapons

Tomo quietly sat at his desk, calligraphy brush in hand. Ever since he could remember, his father would always say, "When you need to relieve stress, take up a brush and start to write." Tomo looked at the brush, a smile upon his face. His father was a bit of an oddball, but he always knew how to calm someone down, especially Tomo. Being born the twin of an obnoxious stage-hog, Tomo grew up being dragged around and gotten into trouble. When the end of the day came and he was finally able to sit in his room peacefully, he would take a brush and practice his writing, sometime even drawing. Tama couldn't bother him when she was in trouble since she was "forced" to practice her performing. Not that it was really punishment for Tama. She enjoyed practicing, which probably explains why she still acts the way she does today.

Tomo shook his head, trying to rid his mind of Tama. She was almost always the cause of his stress and his calligraphy exercises were supposed to rid his mind of such thoughts. Tomo returned his mind to the paper and slowly started to move the brush. It swooped and swirled as he made the characters, creating them in a more stylized manner. He started with the characters for lightning: 電光 since it was the element he was best at. Next, he made the character for wind: 風.

The swirls he made reminded him of the trapeze acts he used to see as a small child. Now that he was in Kumogakure, the closest he got to seeing them were when Tama decided to do them with clotheslines or ninwire or whatever else she could get her hands on. That always ended badly. This village wasn't made to be treated as a tent. Tama, however, saw everything as a stage. Stupid Tama. Tomo furiously doodled on the paper as he thought of all the horrible things Tama had ever done to him and probably will continue to do. "She's obnoxious. She's spoiled. She's a brat. She drags me into trouble. She makes me manage her plays. She makes me do her laundry. She makes me patch her clothes. She makes me perform with her. She makes me cook for her." Slowly the doodle became more clear as Tomo's voice slowly rose.

"She's the reason I can't relax. She's the reason I'm so busy. She's the reason no one thinks I'm a boy. She's the reason I have to wear a miniskirt. She's the reason I can't have nice things." The doodle was almost complete.

"But most of all, SHE'S THE REASON I'M IN THIS STUPID VILLAGE!" Tomo screamed as he made the final line. He began to breath heavy, releasing the anger and grief that had been building for the past five years. Tomo didn't want to be a ninja. He wanted to be a manager, but because his parents didn't trust Tama, they sent him along with her to the academy. If it weren't for her, Tomo might have been able to get out of being a ninja. He could have hid his potential and just been a resident of Kumogakure. Instead, he had to waste half his life becoming something he didn't want to be. Stupid Tama! Stupid stupid Tama!

Tomo let his gaze fall upon the paper before him. It was of a chibi Tama. His eye twitched as he stared at it. "She even bothers me during my relaxing time!" Tomo swatted the paper off the desk as he continued to fume. I didn't want this! I never wanted this! Tomo lifted his foot and brought it down upon the picture. Tomo let his head fall as he felt tears well in his eyes. "I...hate...you..."

Tomo just stood there as his body lightly shook. However, he soon felt his foot rise slightly, and out of the silence he heard a faint voice. "But brother, I love you." Tomo jumped and fell flat on his butt. Before him was a tiny ink Tama, her face showing a hint of sadness. Tomo stared at it as he slowly backed away. Wh..what did I do? Tomo's mind whirled as he tried to make sense of the situation he found himself in. However, this took his mind away from something he should have been doing, paying attention. As he backed up, he knocked into the desk. He lifted his head to see a book falling towards his face. Tomo wasn't prepared for this and had no time to react. Luckily, a certain little helper came to his rescue. Tomo watched as Chibi Tama caught the book and landed behind him. He flipped around so he could eye the ink girl as she placed it on the ground with a little bit of difficulty. When she was done, she gave Tomo a thumbs up with a wink. Tomo smiled.

That's right. There may be a lot of things that frustrate me about Tama. She may do things I hate. She may be the reason I'm here. But, she has done a lot of good too. She's beaten up bullies for me, she's taken out guys that were being too forward, and she is a very good performer, even if she is a little vain. Tomo patted the little chibi girl on the head. And I guess being a ninja has its perks. Tomo thought of all the fun he'd had as a ninja. His powers are helpful at times, not to mention pretty cool, and he couldn't think of too many dull days. Sure it involved killing sometimes, but that was the price needed to help those who need it. And sometimes, there are just some people that shouldn't be in the world. Tomo held his hand out to the ink Tama and watched as she lifted herself onto it. Tomo rose from the ground and placed the little girl on his desk on the opposite side of the ink well. He went to his bookshelf and glanced at all the spines of the many books he kept. He found the one he was looking for and returned to his desk. He placed it on the desk as he sat. It read: The Many Jutsu of the World.

Chibi Tama sat on the desk, kicking her legs as she watched Tomo flip through the book. Ink...ink...ink...aha! Tomo stopped at the spot he was looking for. "Ink Jutsu. A unique form of ninjutsu that involves converting chakra directly into an Inky substance, capable of being scribed and manipulated in a variety of forms. Techniques of this nature have the trait of being particularly creative and flexible during any situation." Tomo let his gaze fall upon the little ink girl on his desk. "You can say that again." Chibi Tama gave a small giggle. Tomo smiled lightly. Ink Tama is much quieter and more behaved than real Tama...maybe because I created her? Tomo continued to contemplate this as he read the rest of the information on ink jutsu. He read about techniques for perfecting the jutsu, suggestions on what to create, along with specific jutsu that were created by people before him. Tomo moved the book towards the front of his desk and grabbed a nearby scroll. Picking up his calligraphy brush, he turned to Chibi Tama with a grin. "Looks like I've got some training to do." With that, he returned his gaze to the blank scroll as he wet his brush with ink.

Unlock Ability! --Barrier Mastery--

Tomo sat on the ground, his arms folded in frustration. He could hear loud pounding near his head. "Tomo! Open up! If you don't try on these clothes, I'll never know if they will look good for my date with Shiri-tan!" More pounding. This had become a norm ever since Tama's first suggested date by Sennin Masao. Tama would use Tomo as a dress up doll to see what outfit to wear on her dates. When Tomo became efficient in his ink skills, he was able to use his ink as a barrier, one he would use to try and keep Tama at bay. However, today she had snuck up on him before he could erect his barrier, as evident from the winky frog hat on his head. Tomo grabbed the hat and whipped it at the barrier where he knew Tama was. "Tama, we don't even look alike anymore! You can't properly judge your clothing options on me now, so just give up." There was a small pause. "Our heads may not match...but we still have the same body structure, and that's what matters!" Tama's kicks became stronger, and every hit resonated within Tomo's barrier for a couple seconds. Tomo held his hands to his ears. Well, at least this is good barrier practice. As Tomo thought these words, he could see small cracks spreading from a point in front of him. Within a minute, the cracks had spread throughout his barrier. It wasn't going to hold for much longer. After two more kicks, Tomo watched as his barrier shattered. There stood Tama, a pink frilly dress and ribbon in hand. Tomo sighed in resignation, hoping that his uncle didn't return early from his mission.

Tomo held onto the branch, slightly shaking from the effect. Since his focus for fighting was his bow, he needed it equipped. However, he also used ninjutsu as support, which needed handseals. One could easily see the dilemma he faced. So Tomo decided to work on making handsigns without having to drop his weapon. Sadly, Tomo's sister had gotten word of his training, and decided to 'help' him train. Tomo looked down from the tree at his older sister, Kimiki. She smiled brightly at him. "Come on Lil' Bro! Make your handseals!" Tomo frowned at her. He wasn't afraid of heights, but Tomo's usual training already had him falling out of more trees than he cared to admit. Returning his attention to the task at hand, Tomo moved his hands together and formed the handsigns around the branch, causing a gust of wind to blow under him, lessening the amount of strength he needed to use to keep him up. He sighed in relief, but soon felt his branch begin to sway up and down.

Tomo looked up to see his little brothers, Saka and Soko, balancing on the branch together. They giggled and screamed together. "Catch us!" They both jumped, laughing with glee. Tomo's hands shot out to quickly grabbed the hands of his brothers before they made it out of his reach. Tomo felt the branch violently shake as it strained to hold him and his brothers' weight. Tomo ground his teeth as he squeezing Saka and Soko's hands. He heard Kimiki from below. "Alright Tomo! Time to shine! Make handseals while holding onto our bros!" Tomo glared down at his sister, who was waving Tomo's hat back and forth while she cheered. Tomo's way of mastering something was to slowly and consistently practice until he got it right, not put him in a dangerous situation and force him to master the ability. However, Tomo stilled cared for his brothers, deep down, and he brought his hands close together while still holding onto his brothers. Tomo's legs shook as he maneuvered his hands to form the seals, his fingers moving around or through his brother's hands. When Tomo formed the last seal, his legs gave away. Another gust of wind blew below the brothers, and their descent from the branch was slowed. Soko and Saka took this time to do a few flips in the air before they all landed on the ground safely. Tomo's breathing was heavy, and his legs gave out underneath him. His brothers sat down next to him, laughing. Kimiki placed Tomo's hat on his head. "See, now that wasn't so bad, and now you have nice, nimble hands." Tomo glared up at his sister before giving a great sigh. "Saka, Soko. When I become manager, I'm making a new rule. NEVER let Kimiki help with training."

"Come on little brother! Let's see how strong you've gotten!" Tomo continued to run from the voice. Ever since Tomo had returned from his last mission, Takama, Tomo's oldest brother, was trying to test him. Takama had never been thrilled that his eldest younger brother was such a wimp, and was always trying to toughen Tomo up, especially since Tomo was planned to be the next manager of the troupe. Tomo saw a kunai whiz past his face, inches from his ear, and picked up his pace. He was leading his brother out to the forest, that way Tomo could try to lose his pursuer in the trees. However, Tomo could tell that his brother was catching up, and chances were that the two wouldn't make it to the forest before their fight would initiate. Tomo sighed, knowing that if he wanted to stand a chance against his dear brother, he'd need to try and get a leg up. Tomo quickly analyzed the situation and tried to remember Takama's strengths and weaknesses. Takama always preferred to use weapons, especially projectiles. My best bet would to keep weapons out of the equation.

In a instant, Tomo began to slide on the sides of his feet, then turned completely around to run at his brother. Taking out Astrosigil, Tomo changed it into its spear form and swung it at Takama's left hand with the non-bladed end of his spear, causing his brother's recently drawn kunai to fall to the ground. Takama gave a small grunt of approval before pulling out three shuriken and whipping them at Tomo. Tomo spun his spear, deflecting two of the shuriken while the last nicked Tomo's left hand. Takama took this time to rush at Tomo with two small chakrams, using them like brass knuckles. Tomo dodged the first swing of Takama's fist, and seeing a small opening, swung the butt of his spear at Takama's right hand. The hit caught Takama off guard, and he dropped the chakram. However, he still had the left one, and it made contact with Tomo's right arm. Tomo winced before reaching into his pouch, and threw a smoke bomb on the ground. Takama began to cough as Tomo took three giant hops back, switching Astrosigil into its bow form. As the smoke began to clear, Tomo took a small rock from the ground and threw it to the right of where Takama was. His instincts getting the better of him, Takama turned his body to the right as he threw a kunai in that direction. Tomo notched an arrow and released it. It hit the back pouch Takama kept his projectiles in and yanked it off of his belt. The pouch and arrow finally stopped as the arrow embedded itself into a nearby house. Tomo shot another arrow at his brother, but he had already body switched and Tomo flinched as he felt Takama looming behind him. An arm wrapped around Tomo's neck as Takama knocked his little brother's hat off his head and gave him a noogie. "I am impressed little brother. Who would have guessed you could disarm the Projectile Prince?" Takama gave a laugh while still lightly strangling Tomo.

Tomo sat against a tree, lightly flipping through his book. He had quite the hectic week, what with his siblings insisting on helping him become a better shinobi. They could tell that he wasn't completely invested, and they all came to agreement that Tomo had spent way too much time as a genin. So now Tomo was being tested and trained so he could rise to a Chunin by the year's end. Tomo didn't like being pushed like this, and was now doing his best to avoid his siblings at all cost. Tomo shook his head, trying to forget his troubles for now and focus on his book, Financing: It's Never Too Early To Start.

The key to good financing is... "TOMO!!!" Tomo stiffened in fear as he slowly looked up. There, hanging upside-down from an overhanging branch, were his fraternal twin sisters, Kiki and Koko. They let go of the branch and flipped together before landing on the ground, facing Tomo. They intertwined their arms together and placed their hands on their hips. "We heard that Kimiki already got to train with you and Takama already sparred with you. Now it's our turn!" As always, his sisters were in perfect synch. Unlike Tama and himself, Kiki and Koko got along exquisitely. They always talked at the same time or finished each other's sentences. They never fought, and even when they found out their abilities were opposite, they worked to make them blend together, becoming a deadly duo of fire and water. Their personalities were near identical, which was surprising considering how different they looked.

Tomo rose from his spot and made himself as tall as he could, which still was about a foot shorter than his sisters. "Actually, I've had enough family bonding to last me a while, so I think I'll pass." As Tomo was about to step around his sisters, they each grabbed an arm. "Sorry bro, but you don't have a choice in the matter!" The twins started to run farther into the forest, dragging poor Tomo behind them.

They made it to a clearing in the forest, it almost looked like a natural arena. The twins released Tomo and loomed over him menacingly. "Since you use Astrosigil, you need to learn to switch its forms almost instantaneously. Kinda like how we transition our own sentences between each other." Kiki and Koko high-fived before continuing. Kiki spoke first, pointing to herself with her thumb. "You can only use your bow to attack me and deflect my attacks." Koko copied Kiki's pose. "And you can only attack me and deflect my attacks with your spear." Tomo stared at his siblings. They had a good idea, but couldn't they work up to this training? Tomo hadn't even practiced quick switches yet. In fact, he wasn't one for speed, he preferred slow, accurate shots to quick, reckless ones. The whole 'slow and steady wins the race' motto fit him perfectly. However, before Tomo could protest, his sisters split, Kiki to the left and Koko to the right. His eye caught movement from Kiki's side and he had just enough time to dodge a disc of water flying towards his face. Eyeing the right, he saw Koko whip a fireball at his feet. Tomo hopped backwards and pulled out Astrosigil. Tomo quickly made note of the battle. Kiki uses water, Koko uses fire, my bow for Kiki, my spear for Koko. Tomo changed Astrosigil to bow form and shot an arrow at Kiki. She dodged and threw another water disc at Tomo. He blocked it with his weapon, only to feel a fireball graze his back. A taunt came from his sisters. "Come on bro, you've got to be quicker than that!"

An hour passed, and Tomo's training was still in full swing. He had become much faster at changing his weapon's form, but it wasn't quite fast enough. He hated to admit it, but his sisters were right. The transition needed to be instantaneous or his weapon's ability to change forms was meaningless. Tomo was watching his surroundings carefully. Half an hour ago his sisters began changing sides, meaning he couldn't just assume that fire came from the right and water from the left. They also moved to the trees, so Tomo couldn't simply track their movements. He heard a light splashing noise from behind. He changed Astrosigil to bow form and spun around, slashing at the water to dispel it. He continued to spin around, preparing an arrow. He had finished his 540 degree spin, he shot an arrow where the water attack had originated from. Tomo knew he wasn't going to hit his assailant, but the point of the exercise wasn't to harm his attackers. His eyes darted to the left and he changed to a spear before deflecting a fireball aimed at his arm. A water attack came from the same place as before. He changed to his bow and shot the water with an arrow. Tomo could almost sense the next attack and changed his bow to a spear. Having grown weary of the training, Tomo threw his spear at the fireball, and most likely at his sister Koko.

A few seconds passed and Koko walked out of the trees, holding Astrosigil. "You know Tomo, if you were getting tired, you should have just told us so." Kiki also walked out of the trees and took her spot next to her twin. "Yeah Tomo. You probably couldn't see it, but you almost skewered Koko." Tomo gave his sisters a skeptical look. "Yeah right. You two aren't called The Dodging Duo for nothing. Koko was in no danger of being hit. And besides, if I had told you that I was tired, you both would have stopped alternating your attacks and started throwing fireballs and water discs at the same time as punishment for complaining." Kiki and Koko gave each other a look before bursting into laughter. "Yeah, we totally would have done that!" Tomo shook his head, dreading to think what else was planned for him in the coming days.

Tomo held his breath as he watched the white-haired man walk by his tree. When the man passed, Tomo let out a barely audible sigh. Tomo had found some free time from his siblings' training, and was using it to further his research. Kiri had some kind of power. Even though he touched people all the time and was open with his affections, Kiri still hadn't been brutally murdered by anyone yet. That kind of charismatic power was something Tomo wanted for himself. So Tomo was quietly stalking Kiri, hoping to see just how his unique ability worked. So far Kiri had touched the butt of a store clerk, caressed the face of a middle aged man, and embraced a ten year old girl. Still, Kiri was alive and well, his face surprisingly unscathed from all the beatings it took.

Tomo noticed Kiri getting too far away and jumped from the tree to the roofs. He jogged along them to catch up with his target. Kiri suddenly turned into an alleyway and stopped at the wall. Tomo, curious to no end, jumped off the roof before the alley and slunk in, hiding behind a garbage can. He peaked out to see Kiri standing there with his hands on his hips, still facing the empty wall. All of a sudden he let out a boisterous laugh. "Nyehe! Tomocchi! I must commend you for lasting this long. However, you can't stalk the stalking master." Kiri spun around quickly and pulled Tomo up, bringing him into an embrace. "You wish to learn my skills, don't you Tomocchi?" Tomo, red as red can be, nodded slightly. "Then my beloved Tomocchi, I will teach you!" Kiri released Tomo from the hug and put a finger to his chin. "Hmm...first we need proper prey. The residential quarters should be filled with high ranking shinobi who need a good peeping." Tomo blinked a few times. "Wait...what?" Kiri picked Tomo up in a cradle and began to run towards the Seki District. "You want to learn how to properly stalk someone right? I hear Zaku-chi was last seen entering his room! He'll be perfect practice." Tomo's mind took a moment to register what was happening. When he finally realized what he had initiated, Tomo began to flail in Kiri's arms. "No! You're going to get me killed! Put me down Kiri! No! No! Nooooooooooo!"

For the thrilling conclusion, you'll have to follow me to the Seki District: http://www.ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?p=79550#p79550

Tomo took a breath backstage as the screams of girls came from the audience. Tomo hadn't performed for six years, and he was having a hard time hiding his nervousness. There was no guarantee that the fans would like his new image. Not to mention his voice had deepened, though only slightly. Tomo's father approached his son and gave him a pat on the back. "Knock 'em dead tiger." Tomo turned to face his father, his voice serious. "There are many things wrong with that statement father..." The genin's lips lifted into a smile. "But thank you." A familiar voice rang in Tomo's head. Oooohoohoohoo! I have never had the pleasure of performing on such a large stage. I am all a-flutter with anticipation. Tomo ignored Haruki as his mother came over and gave him a peck on the cheek. "You'll do great, just like before." Tomo's mouth fell slowly, a light blush coming to his cheeks. "Remind me to stop letting you guys backstage. You're distracting." Tomo turned back to the stage, slowly bouncing from one foot to the other. Kimiki walked up beside him, a clipboard in her hand. "Alright Lil' Bro, you're almost on. Remember, today will be the first use of your chakra ability we've been training. Make it count!" Kimiki gave Tomo a smack on the back, a surprisingly strong one that sent him staggering onto the stage. Tomo, realizing that he wouldn't be able to stop in time, let himself stumbling onto stage, acting like he had meant to enter that way.

The screams intensified as Tomo reached center stage. He gave the crowd a calm smile as he reached for the microphone stand. I'm more mature now...I have to fit my image. Tomo pulled the mic closer to his mouth and held a hand out to the fangirls. "Are you ready?" The squeals reached maximum volume as Tomo cued the music.

Chest%20Exposed%20Tomo%20resized_zpsj5pwcsoy.jpg

The shinobi was like his own light show. Using his mastered Cyclone Movement Jutsu, Tomo's chakra resonated around him, changing shades as he sang. One minute he was surrounded by a deep purple aura, the next a light purple, almost pink aura. The colors changed to match the tone of his voice, as he sang a song that demonstrated his now more mature voice. Though a serene, yet energetic smile was plastered on his face, Tomo was deep in concentration. It wasn't easy to sing, dance, control his chakra, and seem like a kind, lovable guy on-stage. Tomo's last words rang throughout the room as his song finally came to a close. He scanned the audience for reactions. Most of the audience members were screaming, applauding, or both. A few seemed uninterested, but he wasn't surprised. It was common for girls to bring their significant others, and they tended not to like Tomo's performances. However, despite those audience members, Tomo had a good turnout and was gaining a lot of praise. His smile brightened a little bit more. His hard work was paying off, and that was all he could ask for. It seemed like his comeback had gone off without a hitch.

Tomo walked through the village on his way to the forest. He wanted to relax today to reflect on the events of the past and ponder on his possible future. The Genin rubbed the back of his neck in an attempt to release his pent-up tension. Suddenly his stomach lurched and his heart skipped a beat. Tomo paused, his mind trying to comprehend his apprehension. Move Tomo-boy! Haruki's voice caused the young man's body to lunge forward into a roll. As Tomo recovered from his evasive action, he heard a loud crash behind him. Turning around, he saw a massive mirror shattered upon the street, glass shards were strewn everywhere. Tomo shuttered lightly. If he hadn't moved out of the way, he would have been gravely injured...or worse.

The workers who had been moving the large object peeked out from a window above, obvious dread in their eyes as they feared they had crushed someone with the mirror. Tomo gave them a wave to indicate that no one was hurt. He then made a few hand seals before walking around the area, slowly but surely blowing the shards into a pile with his Wind Release jutsu. Once finished, the workers thanked Tomo, and the Genin continued on his way. Haruki began to chide Tomo. Tomo-boy, really. Do you often disregard the signals your body offers you? Tomo scrunched a nostril. "What snarky thing are you going on about?" No snark, Tomo-boy. Simply sagaciously significant suggestions. Tomo rolled his eyes at the alliteration, but remained silent so his ghostly companion could continue. Now that you have me inside you... "Stop wording it like that." Never Tomo-boy! Anyway, as I was saying. Now that my ashes are within you, I can only presume that you have gained the abilities I had stored within my old corpse. Tomo resisted the urge to gag at the mention of Haruki's ashes being in his body. He hated being reminded of that.

Pushing that thought out of his mind, Tomo pondered on Haruki's other words. "So you could sense things around you? Like...some kind of ghosty sense that tingles?" Oooohoohoo! That is quite a childish way to put it, but yes, yes. Though even before my abilities as a Ghost Walker surfaced, I had quite the keen instincts. And now you possess them too. I suggest you quit overlooking them and use your new-found ability to its full potential. I will assist you how I can. Tomo didn't believe that Haruki was being selfless in his offer, but it was quite a gift Tomo now had. However, the young man lacked the expertise to master it alone, and he would need Haruki's guidance if he wished to do so. Reluctantly, Tomo responded. "Alright Haruki, teach me what you know." Eeeeeeexelleeeeeent. Tomo muttered under his breath. "I'm getting real tired of having to ask creepy men for help."

Advanced Element Chosen = Paper

Acquiring Advanced Element Paper Rp (just in case)
Tomo collapsed onto his chair, his head hanging off the backrest. His days were getting more and more stressful, between Haruki, issues with his rank, Tama, and his other assortment of troublesome siblings. Releasing a sigh, Tomo pulled himself upright in his seat. Laying on the desk before him was a sheet of paper used for his calligraphy. He smiled, reminiscing on the last time he sat down before a piece of paper when he was this stressed. That day Tomo became aware of his proficiency in ink jutsu. Grabbing his brush from its holder, Tomo wet it with ink and hovered it over the sheet. He placed his free hand on the corner of the page to keep it secure.

Tomo felt a sensation, the same one he experienced when he infused his ink creations with chakra. The paper suddenly began to float in mid-air, and Tomo slapped a hand to his face. "Seriously? Again? Why is it impossible for me to practice my calligraphy without something weird happening?" So is the life of a comic relief character. "I'm not comic relief Haruki.........am I?" As Tomo pondered this for a moment, the sheet of paper began to float higher. Tomo-boy? Your precious piece of paper is passing...petunias... "Stop with the attempted alliteration, I get it." Tomo rose from his chair and grabbed for the sheet. However, it hovered just out of Tomo's reach. The Genin grumbled to himself as he climbed onto his chair. I predict this won't end well Tomo-boy. "No one asked you Haruki. Besides, I'm a shinobi for Raiden's sake. I think I can balance of a chai-" Tomo spoke too soon as the leg of his chair snapped. The young man's fingers grazed the floating paper as he began to fall forward. His face was about to plant firmly into the desk, and he closed his eyes in preparation for the incoming pain, when it instead landed on something else. Tomo's face bounced off the softer surface, and he finished his tumble to the floor.

Looking up, Tomo saw the sheet of paper floating where Tomo's head would have landed. It was indented, showing a relief of his face. Tomo lifted himself off the ground and lightly pinched his fingers onto the edge of the paper. "Um...thanks?" Tomo swore the page wiggled in response. Cocking an eyebrow, he let the paper go, and it did a backflip over the desk. It appeared like the sheet was sentient, much like Tomo's ink creatures. Did his chakra truly infuse it with life? Or was his mind controlling it to seem as such? This issue had plagued Tomo with his ink for many years, and now the paper before him was giving Tomo even more to question. The Genin reached for a book on his shelf, the same one he'd used eight years ago. It read: The Many Jutsu of the World. An intense wave of nostalgia swept over Tomo, but it passed quickly. "Paper...paper...paaaaaaper. Aha." Tomo found the section on paper and read it aloud. "Paper Jutsu. Paper may sound less intimidating; but do not make the mistake of underestimating the strength of paper jutsu. Chakra of this nature is used to create sheets of reinforced paper that rivals and even surpasses the strength of other weapons. This element specializes in refining chakra's ability to cut to its finest point; leaving far more than your average paper cut." Tomo looked to the sheet of paper still floating in the air. "Alright. This doesn't sound all that different from my ink jutsu. Let's give it a go."

Tomo placed his palm onto the page, and it convulsed momentarily before gently descending onto the desk. The Genin frown. "Um...did I do something wrong?" Suddenly the paper began to fold itself, and Tomo fell back in surprise. His ink-filled scroll fell with him, and it unrolled itself across the floor. Tomo's hand grazed it, and a familiar inky figure jumped up from the page. At the same time, a papery figure lifted itself to its feet on the desk. The ink creation jumped onto the desk, and the two creatures began to look each other over. They cheered in unison and posed for Tomo.

Tomo massaged his forehead. "Why does Tama have to be involved in everything I do?" Because you looooove her Tomo-boy! And in turn, you love my Darling Haruko! Tomo rolled his eyes at Haruki before bending down to address his chibi Tama creations. "Well, at least you ladies actually listen to me." They spoke together. "Yeah we do bro!" Tomo shook his head, but smiled nonetheless. A thought crossed his mind. "I would seriously be at a disadvantage against a water ninja..." Better not enrage a med-nin then Tomo-boy. "For once, I agree." The twin Tama's placed their small hands on their hips. "Water shmater! We can take anything!" The two began to play fight and Tomo shook his head. "You can try to lead a Tama away from water...but you can't make her not fight it."
