It was midnight. However, the village was never so alive… figuratively speaking. From atop the stone faces, Mizu peered the dim lit dark as true mayhem filled the streets below. The howls of man and thing echoed the air. The faint scent of blood filled her nostrils. Monsters ravaged and raged throughout the village. It had begun. They were warned. This was prophesied. The neigh sayers laughed. They ignored. They took their opportunity for granted. The great exodus had begun and with it the ushering of a new age. This world belonged to the monsters, the things, the creatures of night. But, for a new age to begin, another must end. And so it was, those holy and unholy things, once condemned to the bowels of the Black Forest of Death, now free to roam the very lands restricted. Those very things, she would come to name Misbegotten, uprooters of the established order, and harbinger of Destined Death. Mizu blinked slowly as the shinobi of Leaf scattered to the aid of village. They were the defenders of the old ways. The ones who would halt the natural changing from one era to the next. The only force that stood in the way. They were well organized and well trained. However, the threat from within just may prove overwhelming. For now, Mizu would observe the chaos. There was no need for her to involve herself directly just yet. Instead, she would observe. Watching and waiting as the village became consumed by her Misbegotten.
