Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
For those who went with Kyo, going by the name of Hyungteo right now, they'd know they were given follow-up summons when information in regards to their target was received. Their target's name was Tendo Rika and she was involved in the slave-trading business; specializing in women and children. Her M.O. (modus operandi) was kidnapping women and children and selling them as all-purpose slaves; mainly for perverse reasons, but the reasons could also extend out to servitude and simply an instrument for receiving heinous torture. Regardless of the reasoning, Hyungteo had requested a small group of 3 to infiltrate and take down her operation.
[lb2][/lb2]
Those who participate will be given a similar note from last time; an encrypted letter with the specific location attached to it along with a grayish-blue balaclava. The ones who receive this information were also instructed to bring weapons and prepare for combat. Kyo found himself in Port Cirrus with his massive Direwolf, having chosen a room at the local inn to use as their base of operation. The instructions given would also lead them to the room and to put on the balaclavas before entering the room to keep their identities safe from those that may be watching and even from those that might be in attendance. Everything was kept secretive until Kyo/Hyungteo began to brief them on the operation -- but that'll come in due time once the children arrive.
[lb2][/lb2]
Unlike the last class, this one has lives on the line.[lb][/lb]
This class has a VERY small margin for error
[lb2][/lb2]
As the children entered into the room, they are greeted with Hyungteo holding a weapon out. For those who do not enter wearing the balaclava, he would most likely strike at, if not go for the kill. Dakota, the white wolf, also bearing a mask to hide her identity; though it was probably very difficult to hide a massive wolf even behind a mask due to how 'common' they were. Kyo would appear to be a dark grayish-blue cloak wearing a dark grayish-blue ANBU mask. The markings appear to be that of a wolf. For those that were in his class last time, they'd recognize the mask but notice a change of color. If they all enter with their mask on, Hyungteo wouldn't respond so violently and just begin the briefing after closing the door behind the last person and locking it.

Another letter arrived for Akira, the blue haired wolf boy and his Inugami companion, Kuro the young black wolf puppy. Having experienced a coded message last time, Akira quickly learned how to decode the messages after the horrific study event that took place last time in order to learn it. The boy was not much for academics, he kept getting distracted easily when reading and studying but once learned, he was an incredibly astute child and quickly learned the skills necessary for him to learn to decode for future events, such as this one. He looked at the grayish-blue balaclava that came with the encrypted letter and placed it upon his head as he quickly decrypted the message. It seemed weapons were necessary this time as he looked down at his hands and claws, his claws and bare hands being his weapons of course along with Kuro the black wolf. Kneeling down, he placed his own custom mask around Kuro’s head, specially tailored to mask his presence, his natural black color only further adding to his own concealment.

Remaining in the shadows upon his exit from his dwelling with both him and his wolf masked and ready, he made his way over to the location, never making a noise while being swift and cautious in his movements. He was bestial in nature, such predatory behavior came natural to him as he jumped across the rooftops, remaining hidden in the dark and carefully listening to his surroundings to avoid contact with others that would see him. He remembered the instructions, the letter having been specific to wear the mask before arriving to the meeting point. It was sad that in the last mission he recalled some arriving maskless, only putting on the mask after arriving. He had worn the mask last time before the arrival just like this time, perhaps the ANBU felt common sense should be explained this time in detail.

Upon arriving at the local inn where the meeting would take place, a new scent filled Akira and Kuro’s nostrils, the wolf pup comfortably on Akira’s head once again. It was another animal, a dog? No a wolf. That scent was unmistakable, definitely a canine such as themselves. Akira remembered the bestial, albeit strange scent the ANBU gave off last time, this confirmed his suspicions. The ANBU had similar bloodline abilities as himself. He stealthily made his way into the inn, avoiding all others by using his keen animalistic senses to avoid detection and being cautious about remaining in the shadows and avoiding making noise. He made his way into the room with Kuro firmly on his head, the door hardly opening and shutting, a noise never being made as he looked over at the ANBU and the massive wolf beast beside him. He never said a word, apparently being the first to arrive again just like last time, as he awaited for others to arrive and for the next briefing to take place.

Doi'd been waiting for the next summons since the day of the last operation. He'd lost track of how long it'd been, but was fully expecting to receive some news relatively soon. The young genin gently dropped the large paper bags he'd been carrying and pulled out the key to the front door of his home. He'd just arrived after spending some time at the shopping district buying the groceries his father needed. Doi opened the door once it'd been unlocked and entered once he picked up the groceries again. After using his leg to close the door behind him, he walked up to the kitchen counter and propped the bags on top of it.

Once that was done, he walked up the stairs to the second floor where his bedroom was located. Opening the bedroom door, Doi leapt from the door frame and onto his bead. Hitting the mattress with a soft 'oof'. Turning his head to look out his window, he saw a letter wedged in it. This must've been the summons for the next phase of that ANBU mission/ class he'd been expecting. The summons was very similar to the last one.

Having read the letter, Doi detached the balaclava that'd come with it and set it on his bed. The boy then moved to his closet to pull out his combat clothing and the scroll for his chokutō. Setting both items on his bed next to the balaclava. Now he'd wait until it was time to depart for the destination the encrypted letter described.

oOo

Doi eventually found himself at the inn, but wasn't very happy with the balaclava he'd received. It wasn't very comfortable compared to the mask he'd used for the last operation. He figured he'd be able to use it this time too, but that didn't seem to be the case.

Finding the right room wasn't hard, yet, it was a bit awkward passing by the other inn patrons. A masked figure walking around wearing a balaclava was sure to get some stares. The room's door eventually opened after some repeated knocking from Doi. To the genin's surprised, what greeted him was a blade. Luckily enough, he wasn't attacked for whatever reason and instead ushered in. He scanned the room, giving those who'd arrived before him a breif nod, and awaited further instruction. Also noting was seemed to be a large white wolf that looked quite familiar.

When Saki arrived home she had expected most of her family to be out, what she hadn’t expected was for them to crowd around the main table. The eyes that turned to her when she walked it made it clear that whatever caused the crowd had been about her. Sighing she walked over to the table. As she approached the Chunins in her way peeled back from her path to get a better vantage point. The object of importance seemed to be the heavy letter with a mask attached to it. Puzzled at why this would cause such a commotion she picked it up and flipped it over. Ah, it was for an ANBU class, which would do it. Her family was not known for their acceptance of the high ranks. Sighing to herself, and mentally cursing the person who thought to leave the letter in the middle of the table was a good idea, she quickly retreated to her room. This was going to make the separation between her and her family even worse. They were already distant with her because of Uncle and now that they knew she could possibly be ANUB material it would only get worse.

She made it to her room without another incident. Once she was inside with the door secured behind her she quickly opened the letter. Saki snorted to herself as she looked at the code it was written in. It was above basic academy student level but still laughable easy. Her family started on codes around the same time they started to read. Reading the letter over she nodded to herself, the instructions were easy enough to follow. Putting the balaclava in her pocket, she would put it on when she got closer to the meeting point, she changed what was underneath her over clothing into something she hoped she wouldn’t have to use. One that was done and her gloves were securely attached to her hands she made to leave. The only hiccup was the door hit something when she opened it. It seemed that her family still supported her, possibly knowing something about her mission they had left a stack of things for her to bring. After picking up the items and storing them she was now ready to go.

Stopping for a moment in the shadows before entering the inn Saki put on her mask, it did her no good moving around the village looking conspicuous so she had left the mask off until this point. She noted that it didn’t greatly impact her vision with a vague sense of relief. Having to familiarize herself with a new field as well as going on a combat mission would have been bad. The mask didn’t make her visible appearance change all that much, her face was already covered by her hood and collar. So long as no one looked under her hood, a not so easy feat given her short standing, she would look the same as always. No one noticed her as she walked around the inn projecting the aura that made her the opposite of memorable. Arriving at the proper room Saki blinked slowly when she was greeted by a blade after she opened the door. Seeing as she was not immediately attacked she slipped into the room closing the door silently behind her. Looking around the room she took in the other occupants noting she knew none of them. Nodding a slight greeting she settled back to wait for the briefing to start.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
"Good. At least this group knows how to follow directions. Lock the door," Hyungteo, Kyo's codename, had said to the last child to make it in. The first two that walked in were quite familiar from the last mission but the last one to arrive seemed different. He had troubles discerning whether the new-comer was a male or female due to the mask and the childish figure. He turned to look towards the children and clear his throat. "The operation will begin in 3 hours once the sun drops. I will begin briefing you on the specifics of the mission," Kyo said causing the massive Direwolf, Dakota, to let out a big yawn before laying down.
She didn't need to know the specifics of the mission except to follow Kyo's lead, which wasn't too hard for her to do. [lb2][/lb2]
"We have followed intelligence on a well-known slaver by the name Tendo Rika. Two of you already know the kind of merchandise she peddles, but for the new agent, you should know that she peddles women and children as slaves. What the people do with those slaves will be entirely up to your imagination. Our job is to put an end to her business. Intelligence had tracked her down to this district of Port Cirrus, located in the basement of a nobleman's house. Once we arrive there, we are to sneak our way in and make our way into the basement. The likelihood of us getting discovered is extremely high. Once we enter the basement, our job is to apprehend Tendo Rika and free any slaves held captive," Kyo said, clearing his throat once more. He seemed to be suffering some kind of illness right now.[lb2][/lb2]
"Breaking in will require minimal force. There will be no killing on the way in. However, once we have apprehended Tendo Rika and start to escort the slaves out of the building, use of deadly force WILL BE AUTHORIZED. We have to bring back Tendo Rika and all of the slaves back, if possible, alive. She has valuable intelligence on other slave trading rackets so a little bit of interrogation will be needed," he said informatively, putting a lot of emphasis on the use of deadly force.
[lb2][/lb2]
"In case you don't understand what I mean about using deadly force. If anyone gets in our way when we are escorting Tendo Rika and the slaves out of the building, we are allowed to kill any and everyone that gets in our way, including those we incapacitated on the way in. Once deadly force has been authorized, you will be granted immunity for the murder of her guards in the name of work as an ANBU. Just do not go on a killing spree if you don't have to. Remember, the safety of the slaves and safe capture of the target ARE THE PRIORITIES of this mission. You all have several hours to prepare yourself. Remain masked and give your code-names for this operation," Kyo said before hooking a thumb to himself.[lb2][/lb2]
"I am codenamed 'Hyungteo'. You can call me that or you can call me 'Scar' if you can't wrap your tongue around that. The big one over there is codenamed 'Zephyr'."

”I'll go by by the code name 'Turtle'," Doi said in response to Hyungteo's introduction. The word ‘turtle’ being the first thing that popped into the genin’s mind. Once he voiced his chosen code name, the masked genin walked over to the nearest chair and sat down. They had a long three hours before the operation began. He might as well get comfortable in the mean time. Slightly slouching in his chair and crossing his arms, he began to think over the important information they'd been giving so far. Their target, Tendo, would be located in the basement of some rich old guy's house in a district of Port Circus. They had to get in there, grab her, free the captives, and get out.

The job seemed pretty easy when you looked at it that way. The only real problem was the guards.

The act of killing wasn't something Doi found particularly appealing. He'd more than likely just incapacitate the guards and leave it at that, so having permission to use lethal force didn't matter too much. It was nice to know he wouldn't be thrown jail if he messed up somehow, though. Accidents happen - but hopefully none happen this time.

The balaclava on his head was making him mildly annoyed. It was uncomfortable, but Doi knew he couldn’t take it off because of Hyungteo’s orders. There was no telling what the ANBU would do if he disobeyed. Perhaps go crazy and stab him? That would be pretty bad. Because of this, there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that these would be a long three hours.

Occasionally tugging at his mask, Doi remained aware of those around him. He’d probably have to communicate more with the others this time around. There wasn’t really a need for communication amongst the last group.

"Hyu...hyug....hug?" the boy pondered for a moment, unable to pronounce the ANBU's name. Ahh, Scar! That was much easier to pronounce he thought to himself silently, not making the mistake of speaking out loud. A familiar scent filled the room as he noticed that the scent belonged to a boy who partook in their mission last time. Turtle? That was an odd yet simple code name. He looked at the other one who entered the room, failing to recognize whether it was a male or female from their slender and hidden appearance. Ladyboy!? Kuro the wolf dog seemed to slap his paw on Akira's covered face as if realizing his Human partner was thinking idiotic thoughts once again, attempting to tell his Human half to silence his idiocy at once, they were on a mission.

Akira refrained from grumbling despite the apparent slap from his canine partner as he pondered what code name to use for this mission. Was this a permanent code name for ANBU missions or was it a one time mission code name. His ANBU instructor always seemed vague on all explanations so it seemed to always leave the group thinking for themselves a bit. Zephyr had a code name also, as such he assumed that Kuro would need one as well. Zephyr was a monstrously sized wolf it seemed, her and the ANBU seemed to have fairly good chemistry between them from what he could tell.

Pointing to his chest with his thumb, he calmly stated "Garou" as he then pointed up to the puppy laying comfortable on his head "Oinu." Oinu proceeded to drop his palm on Garou's face once again as if to tell him to stop acting cool. They apparently had a few hours left until the mission as a small yawn escaped the boys mouth. Perhaps he would take a nice little nap before the mission begun. He had no particular interest in going anywhere, as such he closed his eyes and rested his body. Oinu remained vigilant on top of his head, watching and listening carefully to the area to make sure no danger came to Garou. They would then trade with Oinu resting and Garou being the vigilant one, each being quite accustomed to performing such a task, giving absolute trust in one another while one protected the other.

Their mission seemed to be a relatively straightforward one. A “quick” in and out, all the information neatly lined up in front of them. Saki would have to say she was relieved, she hadn’t been looking forward to trying to do the intel gathering. It was interesting that the leader had the call sign Hyungteo but he seemed to be competent and his partner was a good ally to have based on size alone. The instructions followed the pattern of being easy enough to follow. Not killing anyone on the way in didn’t bother her, she had been told she had a dangerously low amount of bloodlust by her family but that didn’t mean she was useless when it came to killing. If she needed to kill to complete the objective so be it though in this situation she wouldn’t mind being told to clean house. Slavers were good for no one but the greedy and rich. Thinking back on the instruction she realized the most difficult task was probably going to be the evacuation of the slaves, removing panicked and/or traumatized civilians from a combat zone without taking losses was not the easiest task. It would either be a good thing that the masked group appeared male or a very bad one depending on which way the possible trauma went.

While she was mulling the task the others started talking. She had mentally labeled her two teammates as dog and no dog. No dog had spoken first, a call sign of turtle was an interesting choice. The other was more predictable, Garou and Oinu were easy enough to remember as well as seeming to suit their bearers. Her own sign was easy enough. “Hachi (蜂)” she said simply voice raspy from disuse. Her voice did little to help those wishing to guess her gender, it could have been from a slightly older female or that of a young boy who had yet to go through their growth. Seeing that no one had anything else to say she prepared to wait out the next three hours in silence. They would need to talk strategies later with each other but it seemed none were interested in ideal chit-chat, something she was thankful for. Observing that the others were settling into rest she decided to do the same. Sitting down on the ground while propping her back up on the wall between the door and the corner she settled in to meditate on what was to be done later. While giving the appearance that she had fallen asleep while being completely aware.

Approximately two and a half hours later she would open her eyes and pose a simple question if none had already, “What is the plan?”

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
After introductions and a few hours had passed, Kyo stood up after hearing the words from the one taking the codename: "Hachi" and nodded his head. He remained in his ANBU mask and cloak the entire time, showing the discipline it took to be an ANBU operative. It was time from the briefing. "We will begin by exiting the inn through the window in this room. We will then go left for half a kilometer before approaching the final destination. There is a large western-styled manor. We are to infiltrate unseen, if possible, and make our way down to the basement. The stairs down to the basement will be located behind a door in the main atrium. The door will be located where a massive set of double stairs, one flight of stairs from the left and a flight of stairs from the right intersect to a landing upon the second floor. The door will be on the main floor on the wall where the two stairs come together. The layout, from then-on, is a mystery since we didn't get proper intelligence there. Essentially,
we will be going in blind from there on,
" Hyungteo said before clearing his throat.[lb2][/lb2]
"If intelligence from past slaver-busts serves correct, we will encounter a large group of cages. Somewhere in the middle will be our target's office. Once we get there, we will split into two groups. Garou, Oinu, and Turtle will be the 'Liberation Team' while me, Zephyr, and Hachi will be part of the 'Capture Team'. Due to time sensitivity, we have to get in and get out as quickly as possible. Any major alerts will prompt the destruction of paperwork and even the killing of the slaves to cover their tracks. So do not be seen until after we have the target in-hand," Hyungteo said with a nod. [lb2][/lb2]
The sound of a grandfather clock striking 11 pm could be heard as it started to strike down 11 times. It was at this time that Hyungteo went to the window and opened it and swiftly jumped out with the massive direwolf standing up and awaiting the balaclava-masked operatives to move out before she miraculously squeezed out of that hole. Don't try to understand how she does it, just know that it happened. After everyone poured out of the building, Hyungteo started making his way, on-the-ground,
towards the main estate. [lb2][/lb2]The building, itself, was massive and the grounds even larger. There was a large stone wall that separated the manor's grounds from the rest of the rabble within Port Cirrus. It was at this wall that Kyo lead himself and the group with him down. He stopped the group upon encountering a light pole. With a small set of handseals, he sent a small spark of electricity to the light, causing it to short out and turn off. This granted the group unfettered access down the wall up to where they will make their grand entrance onto the manor's grounds. Hyungteo took a deep breath and started to count down, with his fingers, from 5 to 0. Once the fingers reached zero, Hyungteo and Dakota jumped over the wall, hoping the others would follow. [lb2][/lb2]
After jumping the wall, something felt very suspicious. There weren't any guards at the door. There really weren't any guards anywhere actually. Something wasn't right.
As he slowly made his way to the front door, he waited for the others to catch up to share his plan. "I need one of you to open the door. There's going to be an ambush waiting for us. When you open the door, I'll blast the area with an EMP. There, we will have to disable everyone in the area and then we will make our way in.
Understood? Now, I need one of you to open the door,
" he stated in a hushed voice. He had his hands ready for the handseals. Whatever was behind that door must have been tipped off to their arrival.

Once 'Scar' began further explanation of the mission, Doi sat straight up in his chair and listened attentively. They'll exit the inn via the room's window and head west of their position. Once they reach the manor, they were to get in unseen and find their way down into the basement. The masked ANBU provided further insight on the mansion's structure, but made sure to highlight the lack of intel they had regarding the basement area. They'd have to figure things out for themselves from that point onward.

'Scar' decided to divide responsibilities amongst them by splitting all the participants into two distinct groups. Doi was partnered with 'Garou' and his puppy companion 'Oinu'. They'll be tasked with liberating the captives. Everyone else would be tasked with capturing the target. The risks of not swiftly completing their tasks once again pointed out.

oOo

Once the clock struck 11 PM, Scar opened the room's window and jumped out. Following suit, Doi jumped out shortly afterwards and followed the ANBU operative towards the mission location.

Upon arriving at the large stone wall that surrounded the manor, 'Scar' took out a nearby light pole by causing it to short circuit. After a brief five second countdown, the masked ANBU and his companion 'Zephyr' jumped over the wall. The young white-haired genin did the same, creeping towards their position on the other side and waiting as the others caught up. Offering to open the front door once Scar voiced the need for someone to do so, Doi slowly creeped towards the main entrance. Now in place with his hands at the ready, the boy turned towards the others to silently mouth a three second countdown. On the count of three, he pushed open the manor's front doors.

He was ready to fly into action once Scar sent in the EMP.

Her question was met with a quick response, it seemed that the actual ANBU was on the same page as her. Listening to their leader's instructions she nodded to herself. Saki had been assigned to the easier of the two jobs. A good plan considering her inexperience. It would be a game of follow the leader with steeper consequences if she messed up. The only sticking point was the lack of knowledge on the interior of the basement. Going in blind to any situation was bad, especially ones with an unknown number of hostiles and where being detected was the opposite of the mission objective. She wasn’t naive enough to think the plan would go off as easily as explained but until everything went screwy she would follow the presented plan.

After the instructions were given the older man left in a dramatic fashion, an action that could have only been planned. Saki had enough time to wonder how the, frankly massive, wolf would be able to get out the window before following after. Landing silently behind the man she felt the others, the wolf included, land beside her. Then they were off.

The estate they arrived at would have been impressive if it hadn’t belonged to someone who supported the slave trade. Well, it would have been more impressive, the slave trade must pay a lot. Upon arriving at the wall surrounding the estate Hyungteo did something, she assumed a jutsu given the had signs, to make the lights go out. It was around here that something began to feel off. Tensing as Hyungteo started the countdown to enter what she now considered a hostile unknown zone she mentally prepared herself for the worst. The feeling of wrongness only got stronger as they entered the compound. Even she noticed a lack of guards. Having slowed slightly to consider what that could mean she caught up to their leader. It seemed he had noticed something was off as well considering his last instructions. She had been expecting the job to go sideways just not this early.

When she reached the door she saw that Turtle was about to breach. Standing behind Hyungteo as to not get in the way of the EMP. She prepared herself to move once the EMP was sent in.

‘Scar’ began his instructions as Oinu woke Garou with his paw, letting him know that the instructor was speaking. Hearing the explanation, it seemed he would be part of the ‘Liberation Team’ along with the one who called himself ‘Turtle’, listening intently to the instructions being given to him by the ANBU instructor. It seemed the building was incredibly large, which made it easier to move around most likely but also easier to get lost and create issues in general. Luckily, Oinu was a rather attentive little puppy, paying close attentions to directions so that he could guide Garou if anything had been forgotten or misheard. They really did make quite the team with themselves, covering up for each other’s weaknesses and supplementing each other’s strengths.

Both Garou and Oinu’s eyes narrowed at the mention of cages. Humans were truly despicable and disgusting they both thought, only they were capable of true evil after all. Another time sensitive mission as well, though the pair were growing quite accustomed to that fact. Once the briefing was over, at the strike of eleven, ‘Scar’ exited the window as the other two followed the ANBU closely, Garou jumped out the window after the three, Oinu remaining quite comfortably on top of the shinobi’s head.

“Scar began making his way towards the main estate on ground, the students all following closely after the physics defying wolf somehow escaped through the tiny window. He watched the ANBU short out the light pole, making a mental note to eventually learn that trick himself for future operations. At the count of zero, Garou and Oinu jumped over the wall as well, following ‘Scar’, ‘Zephyr’ and the others.

Strange? Neither the boy nor the wolf could hear or smell anything in the vicinity with their enhanced animal like senses. Apparently he wasn’t the only one who thought it strange as he noticed the ANBU also noticed as such. He wondered briefly if perhaps the ANBU had heightened senses such as himself as well.

Turtle, the other member of his team apparently volunteered to open the door, as such Garou and Oinu prepared themselves for the worst at the opening of the door after ‘Scar’ would use the EMP. A trap, he repeated to himself. Perhaps this was going to get lively far sooner than the group expected. With ‘Turtle’ counting down, and ‘Scar’ and ‘Hachi’ ready for action, the pair braced themselves for a breach, ready to move as soon as the EMP was put down.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
As Turtle slowly pushed the door open, Scar walked into the room, formed together a series of handseals which caused a translucent blue hemisphere, which was actually an orb around Kyo, quickly expand to envelope the majority of the massive estate. The lights quickly turned off and Kyo fried every electronic circuit, including his own headset. The smell of burnt electronics lingered in the air as swaths of men came pouring out of the basement. The sound of fists colliding with men's faces could be heard as Kyo quickly dispatched a large portion of the men. There were, however, enough remaining (that Kyo couldn't get to) for the students to manage. Thankfully, the door to the basement was opened as this little trap that Kyo performed was enough to lure them out. Hopefully the children took the initiative to come and help wipe out the remaining guards; if not, Kyo and Dakota would have to finish it themselves.[lb2][/lb2]
Once all of the guards that poured out, like water, to be swiftly knocked out, Scar walked over to the door down to the basement and noticed everything was pitch black. Clearing his throat, he turned towards the group and waved them over, ushering them down into the basement. The stairs were shallow, bearing only about 15-20 stairs before entering the landing of the basement. As Kyo let his eyes begin to adjust to the pitch black light, he (and everyone else) would notice a thin bar nestled in the top corners start to illuminate a faint blue color. It looked like a tube was being filled with a iridescent liquid, slightly illuminating two paths that the group could take. To the group's right appeared to be a make-shift hole in the wall. The smashing of the wall looked to have been done hastily with remnants of the old wall still obvious to see. This lead down a long corridor towards the sound of cages rattling with several loud "SHUT UP!" heard by what sounded like 4 men. The men rattled the cages back with the sounds of frightened screams of young children and young women being heard. [lb2][/lb2]
The other direction yielded a well-made corridor leading to a room where the iridescent blue light was coming from. The silhouette of their target, Miss Tendo, was visible as the blue light shined upon her body. Scar turned to look back towards Akira, his pup, and Doi. He nodded his head and pointed in the direction of the make-shift cavern where the slaves would be held. After he directed them to where they needed to go, Scar then turned to look towards Hachi for a brief moment before darting towards the direction of Miss Tendo. Zephyr stayed at the stairwell to ensure the exit was clear, instructed before-hand, to clear out any hostiles that may start to pour their way. [lb2][/lb2]
Garou and Turtle Route said:
The dynamic trio made their way through the tunnel to encounter 4 men walking around all of the cages to check up on the slaves. The cages were dimly lit, being able to see at least 20 young women and children huddled together in 5 cages; the size being rather unsuitable for people, let alone animals, to live in. How Garou, Oinu, and Turtle plan on taking this down was entirely up to them.
Hachi and Scar Route said:
As the two proceeded down the well-made path, Scar stopped and took a knee before going fully prone. This should prompt Hachi to do the same as the target turned to look towards the two. Thankfully for them, they weren't seen this time around. Standing up, he turned to look towards the light and onto Hachi before noticing that the light was still illuminated upon the two of them. He moved themselves away from the light, focusing on the big blue beacon of light coming from what appeared to be a small office. [lb2][/lb2]
Scar stopped and went over a plan. "Once we approach the office, I'm going to need you to go in past the target and knock out the source of the lights. I'll handle the target, understand?" he said before creeping up towards the door and threw it open. Inside, a child could be seen being injected with tubes with the glowing liquid being pulled from his body. This caused Scar to pause for a moment before turning to look towards the woman who held a hand-held revolver in front of his face. Not having time to react, the woman pulled the trigger on the gun causing a loud bang to be heard throughout the entire basement. The ANBU mask that he wore took the brunt of the punishment, causing it to crack and begin to chip away. Taking this time, Scar delivered an uppercut to the woman's chin and then delivered a knife-hand to her throat. With a little 'eck' the woman fell unconscious. [lb2][/lb2]
Scar let the woman fall to the ground, landing head-first as he fished through his ANBU gear to grab his own balaclava, one that covered everything except his eyes and placed it upon his face. After recovering, he reached down to pick up the pieces of the mask and stowed them away. He didn't need any traces of ANBU's presence to be known. After picking up the pieces, he lifted the woman over his shoulder and waited for Hachi to deal with the child. The child had an empty look in his eyes, turning his head to notice Scar and Hachi. There wasn't a look of relief from seeing them nor was there a look of pure horror. There was just emptiness. It was entirely up to Hachi on what to do with the child.

The EMP burst succeeded, the lights went off as Garou and Oinu ran into the large room to accomplish the task at hand. ‘Scar’ went in before them, in the blink of an eye wiping out most of the men in the room with sheer speed and skill, proving once again the skills that Kumogakure ANBU were capable of. Being more beast than man, Garou had little difficulty adjusting to the challenging light conditions, relying mostly on his sense of smell, followed closely by his sense of hearing. This would also allow him to avoid accidentally striking his teammates in the challenging conditions they were presented in.

Keeping low to the ground, Garou ran in skillfully, as he went to the nearest guard, sliding on his left foot as he spun and elbowed said guard directly in the base of the neck, causing the man to lose consciousness immediately. Oinu had at some point during the entry jumped off Garou’s head as the four legged animal had been turned into a beast clone version of Garou as the latter had performed the seals on the way in, causing Oinu to become more humanoid in appearance while Garou became more feral. Oinu ran on all fours towards a guard, grabbing his wrist and the shirt he wore near his color, throwing the guard harshly headfirst into the hard ground. The sudden impact quickly incapacitated the guard as Garou was already dispatching the next one, followed closely by his beast clone companion Oinu, who quickly reverted into his canine form and jumped back onto Garou’s head.

After striking down several guards on the way, the duo made their way to the basement door to aid ‘Scar’ at the basement entrance. Making their way down the stairs, the duo noticed ‘Scar’ pointing towards the direction they needed to go. They only hoped that Turtle wasn’t too far behind them after dispatching his own set of guards as they confirmed ‘Scars’ orders and went into the make-shift cavern where the slaves were supposed to be held. Being the first to arrive, Garou and Oinu smelled the area, catching various scents, including overpowering scents of the slaves who were not living in the best conditions. Once viewing the conditions, it was obvious they were treated as nothing but merchandise and were living in quite horrific conditions. Garou and Oinu noticed the 4 men as Garou looked over at ‘Turtle’ signaling that there were four for them to handle.

Attacking all four at once would likely be the safest route for them to handle. After all, if the first two or three were completely manhandled by the students, it was quite likely that the remaining one or two could use the slaves as shields to protect themselves or even try terminating the slaves quickly, costing innocent lives in the process. Unfortunately Garou was unable to voice this, as this would quickly alert the guards to their intentions. Not having time to think about it, Garou only hoped that Turtle would be in the same thought process as him and would understand the danger of letting the guards understand their situation too quickly. To top it off, Garou and Oinu were unfamiliar with Turtle’s fighting style and specialties, could he handle two quickly or was he more specialized in his techniques and skills? The conditions were also less favorable in lighting, Garou assumed that ANBU’s went over this all the time after all, dealing with strange unknown partnerships and having to adjust on the fly. His teamwork with Oinu was flawless, it was easier to capitalize that and entrust his comrade to watch their back, figuring perhaps this was the best way to handle things in the current situation.

Without needing to speak, Oinu already knew Garou’s plans. Dropping down from his partners head, the dog used his extremely small stature and dark fur to blend into the background and make his way from one side of the cave to the other undetected. Once reaching the other side, Garou performed hand signals as Oinu underwent once again the beast clone technique, surprising and confusing the guards as they all looked towards Oinu’s direction startled. Garou and Oinu, now on opposite ends of the cave, crouched quickly and jumped towards the guards as they then spun at rapid speed, spinning at impossible speeds as they crashed into the unsuspecting guards from both sides. The guards being too busy to look behind them were caught completely by surprise by the pincer attack as the two pierced through the guards with relative ease. The one closest to entrance was completely knocked out by the technique as he had his back turned and was caught completely by surprise, as was the one closes to Oinu on the opposite side of the cave. However as they did not have time to ‘mark’ their target, the less than accurate attack damaged the remaining two but failed to knock them out as they were already beginning to stand. Garou quickly performed some hand seals as a whip of water appeared and struck the two, launching them towards Turtle as Garou hoped he could handle the two as Oinu and himself began releasing the slaves from their confinement.

Quickly releasing and gathering the slaves, ‘Turtle’ would have just enough time to handle the remaining guards and lead the slaves out as Garou and Oinu stayed in the rear to prevent stragglers and prevent guards from attacking from behind in the narrow space back up. Unfortunately some of the slaves seemed to be injured and weak and weary. They however seemed to help themselves, the stronger ones aiding and even carrying the weaker ones back up towards ‘Turtle’. Garou noticed a one child specifically injured and unable to move in the cage as he went in and picked up the child, carrying her piggyback style. It seemed any further combat as well as decisions would be left up to ‘Turtle’ as Garou was preoccupied with the child, Oinu being the only defensive capability in the back section with him, with ‘Turtle’ now leading them all.

Doi slipped in during the confusion that followed. 'Scar' defeated most of the guards in this area, but those who were left behind were dispatched by Doi and company. Everyone made way for the basement afterwards.

oOo

The 'liberation' group ultimately found themselves in the cavern where the captives were being held. A multitude of dirty cages littered the entire area. Inside of these cages were young women and children living in terrible conditions. Hiding behind a wooden crate, Doi peaked over the crate's edge and immediately spotted 3 men walking around. Garou, whose position was also visible to him, signalled '4'. That meant there was one moving around out of his sight.

Doi spotted Oinu silently moving along the shadows to the opposite end of the cave. No doubt in preparation for an attack of some sort. Following suit, the young genin moved from cover to cover in search of a better position to attack from. Garou and his companion attacked two of the guards with their combination technique. On cue, Doi ran out from where he was hiding and leapt to dropkick one of the remaining guards in the face. Once the hit landed, he used the impact to propel himself towards the other remaining guard. Hitting said guard with a devastatingly sharp kick to the jaw and knocking him unconscious.

oOo

With most of the captives freed from the cages and a few in the process of escaping theirs, the 'liberation' group began to move out of the cavern. Doi freed the final captives and ran to the front of the group. He had to make sure to disable any opposition they encountered on the way back up the stairs they'd used to come down. No doubt the rest of the guards in the residence would be on the look out for them after the way they'd broken in to the manor.

It seemed subtlety had gone out the window for this mission. When Turtle opened the door their esteemed leader simply walked into the room while glowing blue. Well, he wasn’t technically glowing. The ‘glow’ expanded outward to cover the surrounding area. Seeing as all the lights went out after the light show Saki had to assume that was the EMP. This meant it was time for her to actually do something. Scar was taking out most of the men his jutsu had smoked out so she decided to hang back. She was quick to take out the men who got passed their instructor and entered her combat zone, a few feet of space around her that she deemed her own. Most of the time all it took was a quick hit to the head and they crumbled like puppets with their strings cut. One was able to get a good hit to her ribs but seeing as a cracking sound wasn't heard assumed she was fine.

Once people stopped running into her fist she looks around. It seemed everyone came out of the fight fine and all the ‘bad guys’ had been taken out. Saki turned to look at Scar, Hyungteo was too long a name to think when there was a shorter alternative, when he cleared his throat. Following him down the dark stairwell she entered the basement landing. As her eyes slowly adjusted to the lack of light she had to snort to herself. Gotta love slavers who placed convenient, non-electrical, lighting in their dens. This was clearly where the two teams would diverge. There were two paths one through a badly created hole that leads to men rattling cages and the other to their target. Watching as the other two students were instructed take care of the slaves she followed the leader.

Trailing closely behind the person who knew what they were doing (PWKS for short) she was quick to mimic his actions. This meant she shadowed him as he dropped first to his knee then to the ground. Such action was just in time seeing as the target turned to look their way seconds after they were prone. Pulling herself up she follows Scar away from the, still convenient, glowing blue lights into a more shaded area. Turning slightly she listened as he explained the new plan. It seemed simple enough, the target would probably be distracted by the much larger and scarier looking ANUB making her job simpler.

When Scar opened the door she did stumble for a few seconds. Saki could safely say she was not expecting the glowing light to have been produced by a child. As she started towards the kid a loud blast sound from her left. Though flinching at the noise she did not turn to see what had caused it. Even with her ears ringing she figured she would have heard if Scar's body hit the floor. Since no telling thump was heard until a few seconds afterward she assumed the other was fine. Moving next to the child she began to exam the apparatus that connected him to the tubes. It appeared to be standard IV set up, the needles were just slightly larger and stuck in more than places. Thanking her family, she reached into one of her pockets and pulled out a pile of gauze pads and some surgical tape. The mission parameters had started to bring out any civilians and the kid applied. Expertly removing the IVs, her family insisted on their kids being trained in 'basic first aid,' she quickly slapped some gauze over the bleeding needle sites and taped it down. The stuff that came out of the wounds definitely wasn’t blood, it had the same luminescent glow as the stuff in the tubes. Speaking of the tubes once the kid had been unhooked the glowing died out. Now the problem was how to move him. He was responsive but she didn't trust the trauma that he obviously had. The simplest thing to do was to knock him out but she didn’t know how his ‘blood’ would react with the drugs she had on her. Instead, she decided to go with the tried and true method of knocking people out -- hitting them in the neck. After she made sure he was unresponsive she picked him up, he weighed less then he should have — probably malnourished — and slung him over her shoulders in the standard fireman’s carry.

Once the kid was settled she looked over at the ANUB to see how he had fared. The only casualty appeared to be his mask and the target was slung over his shoulder. Task completed she Saki looked to him for further instructions.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
The gunshot, blocked by the ANBU mask, started to sting. Thankfully, the gunshot didn't hit one of his 2 natural eyes nor did it hit any of the 3 demonic eyes that resided upon his forehead. They were one of the basis of his power and seeing the complete destruction of one of those eyes would eliminate quite a bit of his power that he worked so hard to obtain. He watched as Hachi quickly pulled the apparatus, something Kyo would have probably just ripped right out without much thought, from the thin-child and knocked him out to quickly get him over her shoulder. "Let's move," the man said before darting off towards the stairwell. While saving the slaves was a priority, it didn't hold a higher priority than the target that was in Scar's hand. Every child and woman slave was important to the village and to the inhabitants of Port Cirrus, but the child held by Hachi was most certainly a curious one.[lb2][/lb2]
Upon reaching the stairs, the massive direwolf could be seen tearing people apart, grabbing them with her massive jaws and swinging them around like ragdolls. After seeing several of their allies eviscerated by the massive wolf, they decided to stop pouring in to the basement like lemmings, giving the group a little bit of breathing room. "Zephyr, up! Clear a path," Scar shouted out as the direwolf ran up the stairs leaving the sound of several men shouting in fear in unison. This, however, left a gaping hole for Hachi, Scar, and their captives, as well as Garou and Turtle with the now-freed slaves. This gave them more than enough room and time to escape through the manor. Scar lead the shinobi down the main street, keeping the targets that he and Hachi had obtained. He lead them down the street until he shouted, "Leave them!" as if ordering the other two shinobi, Garou and Turtle, to break away from them to leave them in the street. As he said that, he started to scale the walls of a massive building and bounce his way onto the roof. Giving himself time to settle down upon landing on the roof, the started to tie the woman down with some ninja wire. [lb2][/lb2]
Moments after binding the woman, the manor started to erupt into flames. It seemed that the 'leave them' was a command given to other operatives that were on the ground to torch the estate. This would serve as a means of getting attention to the lost slaves and get the local authorities involved with their dissemination. It would be at that point that the other shinobi should have settled themselves down as well. Once again, this second part of this mission would end on the rooftop of a building overlooking a massive estate. [lb2][/lb2]
"You all did very well. You all took instructions properly and worked as a team to ensure completion of the mission," Scar said as the dark gray balaclava he was wearing was starting to be stained with his blood. "The local authorities will handle the slaves that you two have saved," he said as he looked towards Garou, Oinu, and Turtle and gave them an approving nod. He then looked towards Hachi. "Thank you for your backup and for you properly removing those things out of his arms. This child resembles strange properties. He will be cared for, so you can let him go now," he said, holding out his left hand as if asking for her to hand-over the child. "None of you were here tonight, understand? You didn't see me, you didn't see one another, and you were not here. Make up an alibi. I am currently at home, drinking tea," he said, giving his alibi. He didn't seem flustered but it was something that a Ghost would need to learn.[lb2][/lb2]
"If we request your services, you will be summoned. I expect some of you to become new recruits soon enough. Now disperse."

The orders that were given to her were simple enough. Following the man out they met with the large wolf and the other team at the stairs. Saki had to admire what Zephyr was doing, not only was it extremely efficient it was also quite fun to watch. It had the added benefit of causing the thugs to back off. Scar sent his wolf ahead to clear the path as he led the way out. The other team had been successful with their mission as well. Following behind them was a good number of freed slaves. The destruction that Zephyr had created opened a clear path from their location to outside the manor. They exited the manor and began running down the main streets. She was thankful it was still in the early hours of the morning/late hours of the night. If it had been any later in the day they were sure to have drawn a lot of attention. A group of people running through the streets following a group of people in masks was not the most inconspicuous thing in the world.

When their leader had shouted the command ‘leave them’ she didn’t think it was directed her, or even at the people within their little group. Climbing a wall if only one hand was not a new experience but it was harder with an unbalanced weight. Managing to get up onto the roof she took a knee next to the ANUB as the others joined them. Her theory of the command not only being directed at solely them was proven right when the mansion went up in flames. ANUB must have stationed other shinobi around the area while they were inside. She looked away from the flames when Scar began to speak. She was surprised to hear the praise that was given to them, she had expected them to get a ‘you didn’t screw up, congrats’ speech. Hefting the child from her shoulders she dropped him onto the waiting arm. Idly wondering if she would ever see him again. Deciding that it didn’t really matter she tuned back into what the instructor was saying. The rest of his instructions were easy enough. Her family wouldn’t ask any questions, they were mostly shinobi or worked in close proximity to them so they knew better than to ask. The alibi was also moot, most of her family had seen the letter. If anyone asked where she had been tonight one, or more, of her relatives, would say she was with them. Having been ordered to leave she made a quick bow to the group before disappearing into the night. She really needed to go home and ice her ribs.

Breaking away from the group on Scar's order, Doi used a single leap to gain some distance. A few moments later, to his surprise, the manor was set ablaze. Bright flames illuminating the night's darkness. Whether or not this fire was intentional or a consequence of their mission he didn't know. It was sure to grab the attention of the neighbors. This was without a doubt.

After some time passed, Doi met up with the others on top of a building that overlooked the manor's location. After a few words from Scar, the mission was officially declared a success and they were free to go their own ways.

After a brief sigh of relief, the genin nodded to those that remained on the rooftop and took off. He wanted nothing more but to take the balaclava off of his head the moment they'd escaped the manor. It would probably be the first thing he did once he was completely out of sight. Once he was sure he was a fair distance away, he swiftly took the mask off and pocketed it. He'd dispose of it later. Right now he just wanted to get home and rest a bit. It was late after all.

The mission ended seemingly quickly as the orders to leave them was given. Taking the cue, the young child Garou carried was placed with another slave as both Garou and Oinu disappeared into the darkness, following the group to the meeting point.

They seemed to have fared better than last time as some light praise was given to them this time in comparison to the small blunder of last time, this mission went far more smoothly than the other mission had gone.

After the mission briefing, Garou and Oinu let out a small sigh for a mission well done, it was finally time to return home and relax. This mission ended up more exciting than was anticipated, but they were able to still finish the mission successfully. As soon as the order to disperse was given, Garou and Oinu disappeared into the darkness as they made their way home.
