Tatsuo had been grilling some chicken when Saito rushed into the room, he barely paid him any mind at least in a physical sense. He was listening to what he had to say of course, but he was fiercely engrossed in the cooking of his food. To waste such good chicken? It would be a shame and when he heard the loud crash he gave a quick glance to Saito, after noticing the overzealous boy was indeed not dead he went back to grilling his chicken. "After we eat." he would say as he finished up cooking the chicken. Setting it on the table in their apartment, he took a can of green beans and placed it in the center. A small pot of rice was in the corner of the table. Tatsuo ate heartily before listening to Saito explain his meeting with the Seikon boy, nodding and smiling along. Half that he was making friends, another half that this chicken was juicier than good gossip about a Kage.
Like always it never took much encouragement to get Tatsuo to train Saito, usually all he had to do was ask and Tatsuo would conduct some sort of method to help Saito learn, after all, what type of sensei would he be if he never taught. After cleaning up, Saito managed to pull him to the Hokage Rock, mostly a tourist spot but occasionally shinobi would train up here. It was easy to be inspiried with the whole village underneath you, it made you feel like part of something greater than yourself, which all shinobi, at least the loyal ones, were.

Tatsuo grinned as he shared jabs with the boy, each trying to get under the other's skin but with no real malice included. It was fun honestly, but he sat for a moment when Ryo asked what he was like when he was his age. "Well.. I think.." he tapped a few fingers on the table as he thought about Ryo's questions. "I uh--" he stopped himself after he saw the food was beginning to be prepared, he would have little time to talk, especially with such fierce competition. "Oh yeah, I've met with Yaboi he asked for training the other day when I was eating at this shop in town. It's kind of cool, ya' know? Almost makes me feel old, though." he said with a smirk as a bowl was placed in front of him.
Leaning back he let out a sigh and looked to Ryo. "Alright at the count of three... Three.. two.. one!" and with that, he sprung into action, bringing the bowl up he went to drink before he realized just how hot it really was. Placing it back down he dry heaved for a moment trying to cool down his tongue. "Hot! Hot! OHHHH that is hot!" He could hear his tongue sizzle to the point he almost forgot about the conversation. The chef in the back was laughing hard but provided a glass of water in which Tatsuo gingerly drank, after his mouth cooled down he went back to the race, slurping noodles, beef, and veggies alike. It looked like he wasn't stoppign any time soon, pushing past the pain in his mouth. He really needed to let his mouth cooldown more, he started to feel like his tongue was burnt more than it wasn't. After a bit of eating that bowl he took a quick sideways glance to see just how far Ryo had gotten..
The sunlight poked through the blinds, striking Tatsuo's face and causing him to slowly drift into consciousness. He looked over to the other side of the bed and noticed that Saito wasn't there and shrugged his shoulders, he was probably off exploring or something. It also meant he could lounge in his bed for a little bit longer without the responsibility of training someone that morning. As he shifted his shoulders in his bed, a huge grin appeared his face. He was truly comfy, as his head sunk back into the pillow and his joints relaxed he let out a deep breath and closed his eyes. And before he knew it there was a bang on the door! Pondering for a moment if he should act like he wasn't here so they'd let him get back to sleep but the interloper had no intention in giving him any relief. Tossing his blanket off of him he threw his feet off the bed, slipping his feet into his DAIKI™ flip flops. Wearing a plain white tee and black gym shorts he lazily made his way to the door. With a click it opened and he stood in front of the eager to train Ryo. "Wha--" he furrowed his brows looking down at the kid who was requesting someone to show him a few things.
"Uh? Sure..?" He recognized him from the forest but had no idea how he tracked him down, the kid must've been following him much like he did his first teacher as well. "Alright kid.. Mind if I brush my teeth first, or is that what you want to learn, resistance to stinky breath?" he said with a quick smirk as he leaned in the door way waiting to see what Ryo had to say.
