Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shops and Items [Open] [Riyota]

Suru nodded in a Sagely type fashion as the two pronounced their favorites. He still didn't really see a point in it, since he was efficient and effective in combat regardless of having a favorite. It was interesting to him that Naoki was the punching type, but it wasn't that surprising since she was blind. Although, the surprising factor was that she could fight even being blind, but it shouldn't have really come as a surprise she was a shinobi after all. His amber gaze fell on Riyota after she had finished her explanation and general chatter. He chuckled softly, at least the other boy had spirit, he had a chance of being a valuable partner, if he could keep his attention where it was needed. "You will learn, just remember to practice. It's the only way to develop yourself and get better. And with an axe like that..." Suru would paused and gesture with his head at the over sized weapon, "It would probably be in your best interest so you do not hurt your squad members." For some he felt that it was necessary to point that out to the other boy, and it made him feel older than he was. He had a lot of moments like this and some time it bothered him, but for the most part he took it in stride. He would rather be mature and collected than immature and twitchy.

Suru's eyes shot back to Naoki as she asked if he wanted to question them about anything and ask about the sandworm. It was still a slightly sore subject for him as a few points during that fight he hadn't been so lucky to escape from getting hurt. He shook his head and sighed. "Nah, I don't have any questions... At least not yet." He paused a moment and ran a hand through his hair. "Well... It wasn't a real sandworm, it was a mechanical baby one but it was still a challenge. It looked real enough but we found out at the end that it was just something that someone had built." He didn't bother saying the name of the man who had brought it in, some day he would find him again and make him pay for what he did. Some day. "But it had burst through a wall when it came in, and Shiori-sensei wasn't even in the room! She had been locked out and was banging on the door through most of it. She hurt her wrist too..." Suru was getting mildly excited by this point, his voice rising a bit as he spoke. He was proud of himself, and the fact that he had managed to help destroy the thing. "I got bit though, and have a scar on my hip from it." He failed to add the part about the dictionary to the face but, that was more embarrassing than he cared to admit. "I mean, the fight didn't last that long... A few other students got killed... But I killed it in the end!" The young shinobi would wait for their responses before saying anything else. They probably had more questions about the incident as he didn't really go into much detail. He would've but he didn't know how much of his babbling they actually cared to listen to.

So it looked like a sandworm! I wonder if it's still around. Though well, I don't even know if I can get this to work right long enough to see it, even if it was... "Whoa! Waitwait, so, did it just burst into the room in the middle of the lesson? How come you guys didn't run out of the room or try to unlock the door or something? Or did you, and how'd that go? And why was Shiori-sensei outside, wasn't she the one teaching? And you got bit by the mecha sandworm, how'd you survive that?" The questions kept coming, possibly merging together with Riyota's own set of questions if his questions were as rushed out as hers were, and Naoki likely wouldn't stop until a few more were fired off when she realized she was talking too fast for people to answer properly.

She cleared her throat after the pause. "S-sorry... Uh, you go first Riyota, I think I should try to sort through which questions'll be more important first..." Well... what I really wanted to know was what it was like feeling like you were fighting a sandworm, even a baby one. It couldn't have been all that easy to think straight, up against that kinda thing. How'd he manage to keep calm enough to actually kill the thing? She stayed quiet however, until Riyota asked something or if the other two stayed quiet as well, she'd just ask her question to break the silence.

Riyota shook his head, he was silent for once, deep in thought. He had heard the story but only paid attention to the important parts. He smiled slightly as Naoki rapid fired her questions at Suru It's ok, Naoki, you go he told her, with a slight sigh in his voice, Suru took on a mechanical baby sandworm, and I've never fought anything besides Matsu-Sensei, and even then it wasn't a real fight. He sighed to himself, growing slightly sad. Allowing Naoki to ask her questions, thinking about what he needed to do in order to get stronger. How will anyone like me if I become the weakest genin? He thought to himself How can I possibly make them proud if I have no skill? All these thoughts washing through his head, and thinking about his past, his eyes started to water a bit, he did his best to inconspicuously cover his eyes. He didn't want to look any weaker in the eyes of Suru, and although she was blind Naoki could be quite observant, he hoped she was more focused on Suru then him, Because if she knew that he was crying No, not crying just...I don't know He thought. But I won't be able to face them ever again if they don't have a reason to be proud He attempted to dry his eyes without either noticing. Maybe I should talk to Sousuke-sensei about this? He considered.

The rapid bombardment of questions had Surutemeni reeling for a moment, he hadn't expected all of that in the very least. He shifted how he was sitting, his knees now bearing the brunt of his weight and his rump placed upon the back of his feet, his hands were still playing with the hilts of his weaponry; it was a small habit, perhaps out of nervousness or boredom. Even he wasn't sure of the cause of it. Sighing he shook his head before running a hand through his hair once again, pausing slightly to scratch at the spot where his skull and his neck met. The fact that Riyota remained silent was an honest relief, he had feared that the boy would be much more intense with his grilling than Naoki was, but he was pleasantly surprised by the silence. His eyes shifted to the other boy, he seemed to be upset about something, that much was apparent by the tears that began to build within his eyes. 'What should I do?' Suru wasn't used to dealing with anyone that was upset or sad, so he really had no idea how or if he could fix it. 'What is wrong with him? Is he crying? Tch... What a wimp.' His brow dropped as he narrowed his eyes with the last thought, he wasn't that fond of people who couldn't keep it together or get things done or even defend themselves when it was needed, and for some reason he was beginning to think that Riyota was all of those things.

His hardened gaze turned back to Naoki, the slightly aggressive expression still upon his face. "Yeah! Some guy, I think his name was Aburata or something, he had snapped his fingers and this worm burst through! It was crazy. It blocked the way out though, and we were in the old Academy halls, y'know the broken down ones? Shiori-sensei had actually been pushed out of the room by that guy... So, I guess she wasn't really the teacher of the class... But yeah!" He stopped, trying to think on how he had actually survived that bite. His eyes closed for a brief moment, his expression lightening as he did, and as he remembered they snapped open again. "Ah! Well... It had spit some acidic stuff on me and it burned really badly, but it had at least stopped the bleeding?" He shrugged and played it off as if it weren't that big of a deal before adding, "Well, Shiori-sensei had placed a healing jutsu on everyone so that helped too."

"Uwoooh!" Naoki was currently trying to replay the scene in her mind, making the faux sandworm sand colored since... it was named a sandworm. So it burst through the wall or something? And I wouldn't think people still held classes there, haven't been over much... And pushed out, that's pretty rude. That some guy must not have been taught very well by his mom. Her eyes at this point would've been as round as discs if they'd been exposed, but since they weren't, her eyebrows had shot halfway up her forehead.

"Acidic? Like Acid jutsu?" She'd attempted to produce something like that, or at the very least control it, but had been unsuccessful thus far. "How come it stopped the bleeding? I thought it harms the body..." She didn't have enough medical knowledge at this point to know anything about cauterizing, and it was evident in the angle at which her head was tilted. Maybe the healing jutsu did it, and Suru just remembered the burning as something that might've... healed? No, that doesn't make sense...

Riyota listened, and waited, and took the occasional glance at Naoki's ever changing expression. The way her face contorted in different forms of surprise cheered him up a bit, though he knew Suru had seen him cry. He was ashamed to say the least I was right, this doesn't feel very good. He sadly thought to himself, he dried his eyes again and took some time to stare at the floor. It would be a long time before he could look Suru in the eye again. He knew that. However he wasn't going to let it hang over him, Still, maybe I should give them so time to talk without me in the way. He jumped to his feet, re-masking himself in his usual cheerful exterior.

W-well, it was definitely fun meeting you both S-so...yeah, I gotta go get some stuff S-so... He turned and began to walk away, it was certainly an awkward and ungrateful way to leave, and he knew they both knew that. He knew that Suru knew something was up, but he hoped Naoki didn't figure it out. He had a lot to think about, he had training to do, and classes to attend and a whole bunch of other stuff, all starting with getting a holster for his axe, like Sousuke-sensei had said. He sighed softly to himself, maybe one of them would stop him. Will Suru make me stand and just mock me for...for crying? He wondered Maybe Naoki will figure out that I was...am kinda upset He didn't know if he had it in him to face either right now, so he took another step and continued walking.

Surutameni watched as Naoki's expression changed, the ending point had her eyebrows far above her headband, and he knew that her eyes were wide opened. He chuckled a little and rocked back onto his feet, now more in a crouched position than actually sitting. He looked to Riyota here and there, the boy's silence being rather unique still. He had expected someone like him to be far more excitable, especially when it came to talks of this nature. Most at his age were, any fighting and they would break out with their own stories of prowess and how they defeated one thing or another, the details getting so skewed that most of it would likely be a lie.
"Oh, no. Literally acidic spit! It spat acid at me.... And sealed the bite..." He paused for a minute, hand running through his hair again. "Now that you mention it though, I am surprised it didn't do more damage." He shrugged and let out a breath, a small 'fweh' sound escaping his lips. 'She does have a point... Why did it seal rather than burn through me?' He was lost in though for a split second so had she said anything else he wouldn't have caught the words.

Thankfully, she didn't but the other boy was still being silent. Suru sighed heavily and looked at him. He looked depressed. 'Maaannnn... What is it with this kid? He seems like such a wannabe.' He shook his head and stared at the other boy for a moment longer. Much to his surprise the other boy stammered out some excuse to leave. 'Tch... Figures.' He just watched him walk away not even really bothering with so much as a good-bye, then again it's not like he could've gotten one out if he tried, Riyota seemed intent on leaving. Once more, Suru sighed, it was starting to become a rather heavy habit for him. Then again, why wouldn't it be when he dealt with kids his age. Most of them seemed to be little cry-babies, and that just wasn't what he wanted to deal with. His attention turned back to Naoki, and he stood; the motion was smooth and easy as he was already on his feet. He was getting tired of sitting in one place, and there were things at the back of his head that were nagging at him. That and coupled with the fact that the other boy had grated on his nerves, he needed to go do something before he snapped.

Being attuned to sound, Naoki would likely pick up changes in tone faster than most... though it's doubtful that she would've needed to use this ability in order to detect Riyota's now-evident discomfort. That and she thought he'd been drying his eyes earlier... Just hadn't noticed in her hurry to finish her question barrage. Crying? Why...?

In her experience with crying people however... it may be best to leave them alone while they sorted their feelings out. That and Naoki was awkward enough with social gatherings in general, let alone a delicate situation in one... It wouldn't have been wise to stop the boy, despite wanting to know more about him.

Instead, she called out to him, "Going already?" If he didn't turn, she'd just continue with a "well, see- uh... let's meet again sometime!" If he did, she'd walk over to him to hand him the akabeko. "The occhan at the stall said this one answers questions depending on how it bobbles... maybe it can cheer ya up," she'd say, before grinning and proceeding with what she would've said if he hadn't.

Suru was already standing, and seemed somewhat upset himself. Ooh, I guess he was busy anyway. Wonder if he's going to train... Should I ask if I can sit in? She then remembered she was only taking a break from training herself, and needed to finish the rest of the day's sets before dinner. She bid Suru a quick farewell before taking off for the Academy, unless he told her he had some business with her as she did so.

[Atrempting not to stop Riyota fully, just for a while. I'll be faster in future threads, sorry >_<]

Riyota turned around at the sound of Naoki's voice, he faced her directly, his eyes now dry and little evidence of his tears remaining. He regained his usual demeanor and listened to Naoki's words, still pained inside by his thoughts but recovering fast. He didn't want to dwell on this for long.

Yeah, let's meet up again sometime. He nodded happily, he felt her push something into his hands But...Naoki, this is yours, you bought this for yourself... he said, confused. She must've worked hard to earn that money. It's an awesome little cow, but I don't need cheering up, really, you keep it. He smiled lightly, giving the cow back to her I appreciate that you'd give this to me, but I can't take it from you, I'm sorry. He hoped he wouldn't upset her. He decided to say something to prevent her from getting upset, he grinned Tell ya' what, If you hold onto that until the next time we meet, It'll prove to me that you cared about when I first met you. I'll take it then if you still want me to have it, does that sound ok? He meant what he said in the best way.

He shuffled awkwardly, he didn't want to just walk away again after this, but he wasn't sure if a hug or a handshake was appropriate, he knew she wouldn't be able to help him figure it out, but he didn't want to choose the wrong thing...Which one? He asked himself.

He saw Suru stand up, looking somewhat angry, and Riyota usually being one to poke the beast to see if it's dead, called out to him Don't you worry Suru...Next time we meet, I'll be as strong as you. He giggled, putting one final sticker on his forehead.

Suru watched on as Naoki went to give Riyota her little cow-thing, his face holding no expression at the time, and he really didn't care. The whole situation had been a test of his patience as well as a test for his social habits, of which he had none. He had wanted to make friends, and still did but there was just this nagging feeling to him that they could be used against him. He shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose between his index finger and thumb, his amber eyes closing for a brief time. Only to have them snap open and lock onto the other boy when he called to him. "I'm counting on it." Suru called back, his features breaking into a crooked half smile. 'At least the kid had cheered up..... Good.' It seemed he had managed to find a rival, and perhaps another friend some day, but for now Suru would keep his distance. He lifted his hand in a rather nonchalant wave while he turned, leaving the two to watch him go. 'Time for some training.'

[[OOC: Was fun haha <3 ]]

Aww... He didn't want it? As she heard the rest of his words though, Naoki understood that he refused the toy out of consideration and not dislike... Or at least that's what it seemed like. Why would he think I didn't care about this though? The genin was rather shocked to hear that her friend even remotely considered that she wouldn't care about their meeting... But it made her all the more determined to have it on her person the next time they met, wanting to prove to Riyota himself that he was appreciated company. Taking it back, she put it away in her bag. "Alright... I'll get you something better next time though, count on that!" She'd reciprocate whether he decided to offer a hand to shake or give the girl a hug, and with one last grin, she'd thump her hands on his shoulders, saying a quick "good luck," before dashing off to the Academy as she attempted to earlier.

Riyota smiled If you can hold onto that cool little cow, It'll be good enough for me. he still considered how to leave this, in the end, he settled for a handshake We've only just met after all, I wouldn't want to creep her out. he thought, taking her hand and shaking it firmly but gently. Seeya Ninja-Lady He giggled.
And good luck for you as well. he smiled again, placing one final sticker on her forehead before departing.
