Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Abilities
[spoilername="Illusionist"]Kimi always had an affinity for illusions. After the tournament, she also became aware of how useful sneaking around could be in combat. Intending to expand on that, she began training and testing what she could do while hidden from her opponents. By training her Genjutsu even more, she developed an ability to use it in the most stealthy of ways. She combined her natural skill with illusions, with her just as natural skill of sneaking around, and found a way to consistantly use her Genjutsu without being noticed. Her music taking on a sort of all-encompassing quality, leaving the target completely clueless as to where it was actually coming from. A useful skill when it would come time to fight once again.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Stalker"]Growing up an only child, Kimi had to find some way to amuse herself. As a result, she was always sneaking up on her father for one reason or another. It was as simple as poking him when he wasn't looking. Even that would give her the feeling of satisfaction that drove her to continue the game. She soon learned how much it irritated him, and in an effort to not get in trouble, she developed ways to go about it without getting caught. She figured out all the best ways to get him, and run off before he even knew what happened. She has since translated that same ability to do things without getting caught onto the battlefield, adjusting her childish skills into ways of attacking without being seen.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Quick Reaction"]For one reason or another, Kimi's father loved to drink. And, as is the stereotypical norm, when he got drunk, he tended to get violent. Kimi was in no way willing to let him simply beat all over her because he had a little too much to drink. So, when he would inevitably turn to attack her, she would expertly dodge his attacks. Even though his logic and common sense were failing, his agility and speed certainly weren't. Eventually, dodging the blows wasn't enough. She had to find some way to get him to sit down and relax. So, she would turn around, and after dodging his blow, knock him flat on his ass. After doing that enough times, she developed easier and quicker ways to retaliate

But if anyone were to ask, she'd just say they spent a lot of time training together.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Deflection"]After the tournament, Kimi went to the training grounds to do some work with her fellow classmate, Kei. The two of them set at it, throwing blow after blow at one another. Kei was much stronger than her, as was most of the students. Kimi knew she would have to figure out new ways to avoid taking damage. She knew full well you couldn't avoid every hit, so she had to figure out something else. Instead of trying to dodge every attack, she went about it a new way. Bouncing the attacks off herself, avoiding all damage, and turning them around on her opponent. It wasn't a flawless plan, but after hours of training, Kimi got pretty good at it. Even if she couldn't always return the attacks, she could at least divert them away.[/spoilername]

MORE ABILITIES!!!
[spoilername="Shattered Reality"]Since the tournament, Kimi's spent as much time as possible training. Despite winning, she knew full well how strong the other students are, and she had to keep improving if she wanted to keep up. One major weakness she found in herself was the lack of damage output. While her Genjutsu was strong, it just couldn't keep up damage wise with some of the stronger Ninjutsu. So, for hours she trained long into the night, singing Genjutsu after Genjutsu at her current, albeit unwilling, training partner. The poor squirrel was horribly confused, though it didn't seem to be doing much else. As she sang, she used all sorts of other jutsu, trying her best to cause more damage whichever way she could. The longer she practiced, the more she realized something. The poor animal seemed to take more damage from all of her attacks when she had an active Genjutsu on the poor thing. She'd have to be sure to remember that for later.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Elemental Illusion"]Wind Jutsu and Kimi have always had an interesting relationship. While her affinity with wind was strong, she rarely used it by itself, choosing instead to utilize it through sound. Even so, with every step her sound jutsu grew in strength, her wind jutsu grew just as much. Combining that with her use of illusionary Genjutsu, the two began to mix. Her chakra began taking on some of the characteristics of the wind from which her sound got it's power. As she sung her Genjutsu, a soft breeze filled the air. Her chakra blending with her wind affinity ever so slightly, giving her Genjutsu the illusion of an elemental presence.[/spoilername]

Ability Stuff

Dropping: Deflection

Adding: Shinobi 101 - Genjutsu: Wind (free ability), Combat Instinct
[spoilername="Combat Instinct"]Throughout her training in the Academy, Kimi has been perfecting her fighting arts. Her skill in battle has been improving not only with her classes, but through the additional guidance of her mentor. One of her biggest catchups was always the confusion caused by battle. A surprisingly good training for that was to spend time in crowded places. The longer she spent around large crowds, the more attuned her hearing became to picking out small details of her surroundings. Through training, she has become able to translate that skill into a more combat-oriented use, becoming more attuned to the crazy, hectic goings on of a fight. She utilized her superiour hearing to see the battlefield in her own way, giving her a distinct advantage in a fight.[/spoilername]

Anbu ability - Sentinel
[spoilername="Sixth Sense"]People often say that with the loss of one sense, the others grow stronger to make up the difference. It goes beyond that for Kimi. Not only has she developed extreme audial skills, but she has developed a sort of sixth (or fifth, in her case) sense. She has developed a sort of feel about the world around her, giving her a sort of unexplainable twinge when something isn't quite right. Having learned not to rely on what she could see, she is much more prone to following her strange nudges, not letting anything get past her just because she couldn't see it.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Enchanter - Genjutsu Chakra Style"]Since graduating from the academy, Kimi has worked her hardest to live up to her growing reputation. Not wanting to let anyone down, she studied day and night to figure out a style of fighting most fitting of her particular abilities. In doing so, she figured out a way to channel her chakra to it's best use. She is able to utilize her particular fondness for not being seen in battle, extending it to focus almost exclusively on mental trickery. She developed a way to focus on the emotions and thought process of her opponents, allowing her to best form her attacks to be the most brutal and violent in their regard.[/spoilername]

Free Minor Affinity to Major Affinity: Wind
Free C-rank Minor Affinity: Water

APPROVED!!!

I'd like to apply for the Advanced Element of Mirror
[spoilername="Mirror Application"]Wind, such a basic element, the flowing wisps of air moving in a predictably random pattern. For even Sound is nothing but the most basic aspects of wind, boiled down to a simple, purified manner. Moving past that, Kimi pushed herself further, trying to open her mastery over Wind, and every derivation thereof. Working day in and day out, through clear weather, and not so clear weather, she found that she could combine her natural affinity for wind with the water around her, to draw forth something altogether new from herself. The reaction was almost instantaneous. She could feel the shifting in the very nature of the wind. The wind and water together hardened into a clear, 'solid' surface on which her motions could reflect and rebound. It was fascinating.

The rain, perhaps, was not the best weather for such actions as training. At least, that was the view of most who passed by the single female dancing her way about the training field. Drenched from head to toe, yet not letting it slow her down, it was as if it didn't exist. The pattering of the raindrops served as fuel for her motion, the violin that typically accompanied her was left at home. No sense in having the instrument damaged uselessly. It wasn't the first time she'd done such things, though the rain was falling significantly more than usual. As such, something strange happened.

It started like any other normal, rainy day training. Kimi was working through some simple drills, moving the wind through the rain, and striking at the dummy across from her. Then, something strange happened. She spun, intending to fling three bullets of air at her target. Without intending to, she channeled water chakra into her action as well, flinging the water directly into the air bullets. What resulted struck the target, slicing through it in a solid form. A pause. That wasn't supposed to happen. She stepped forward, reaching hesitant fingers towards the target to find the source. There was something there. Where there should have only been the aftermath of air slicing through, there were instead small jagged shards of glass. A frown. What did she do to cause such a reaction? Could it have something to do with the water?

For hours, Kimi worked through that theory, pulling from her knowledge of the natural world to pull her water affinity forward, combining it with wind in a unique way. This was going to be awesome!

...if she could actually figure it out, that is.
