Character Name: Sunaku Yuko
BL/CA: Sunaku
Main Branch/ANBU/Med-Nin: Main Branch
IC Rank: Genin
Character Age: 14
Gender: Male
Character's Physical Description: An Athletic built, five foot nine, brown hair and Blue body suit (think Gaara but blue) Shinobi from the Sand village. His Hair is short and spikey, some may even call messy but he could care less. He has no tattoos on his body nor any scars for that matter.
Character's Mental Description: Probably the opposite of a Loner. He doesn’t like sitting around and being alone. He prefers to be walking the streets of the village meeting new people, having discussions with them about the village, its leader ship and how to make the village a better place. He tries to think in a positive manner and hates when people are a downer. He will do everything in his power to not let anyone get his mood down, even during a fight.
Character History: The Suna native had a decent life growing up. Yuko grew up with his parents up until the age of fourteen. His parents both of the Sunaku clan and as such Yuko eventually unlocked his abilities, but that’s later in the story. Yuko went into the academy at the age of ten and got along mostly well with the other students. There wasn’t anyone he particularly grew close with or anyone he disliked either. He passed his Genin exam at the age of eleven. The exam itself wasn’t too hard. It was a series of the three basic jutsu: Transformation, Body Switch and Clone jutsu. After that there was a sparring match between Yuko and a peer. Due to Yuko’s lack of memory… he couldn’t exactly remember who it was. The rules were simple for the match, no ninjutsu or Genjutsu, only Taijutsu were allowed. For most people this probably wasn’t a problem except that Yuko wasn’t very good at close combat taijutsu and that’s what his opponent’s specialty was. Lucky the goal of this part of the exam wasn’t to win the spar but to show off your skills as a shinobi. There was one type of Taijutsu he was good at though, long ranged Taijutsu. If he could just keep a safe enough distance away, it be okay. The spar commenced and predictably, the other boy ran right at Yuko attempting to close the distance between the two. Yuko waited and the boy got close enough and once he was; he jumped over him, kicking off from the boy’s shoulder and threw two shurikan at him. One shurikan missed by the boy dodging but the other got the outside of his right shoulder cutting it open a bit. Yuko kept his distance as the fight went on dodging here and there. His opponent drew a kunai about a third of the way through the fight. He had gotten close to Yuko by throwing sand at him and attempted to slash at Yuko’s chest. The Proctor never said it wasn’t a fight to the death. Yuko went to brace himself for the slash when everything stopped. Sand had come out of the ground, grabbing his opponent by the arms and legs. Yuko looked around and no one had done any hand signs and was maintaining any chakra from the looks of it. The sand had moved to protect him. His family’s gifts had been passed down to him after all. This was no time to celebrate on how happy he was as this was still an exam. He quickly kicked upward into his opponents gut, knocking all of the wind out of his opponent and then used the sand to throw him away from him. The kid landed hard on his back holding his stomach. He slowly got up to his feet and looked to the proctor shouting ”He used ninjutsu breaking the exam rules. He should be disqualified and failed!! The proctor simply shook his head and responded ”Not necessarily. He used his Kekkai Genkai. All that was simple chakra manipulation. You’ve used chakra manipulation in your Taijutsu. Should you be disqualified for doing that? The proctor sighed and continued I think we’ve seen what we need to anyway. Go clean yourselves up and return to the classroom. Yuko looked at the proctor, bowed his head slightly and left without a word to anyone. He met with the proctors from the exam and gained his headband and was an official shinobi of the sand village.
It has been two years since he passed his genin exam and has done a few C and D-rank missions in that time while honing his Sunaku skills in the meantime. His most recent mission is a b-rank mission he went on with a chuunin in a support capacity. The two were on a mission to the badlands to take care a group of bandits attacking the trade markets routes through wind country. They were out there for a good couple months not knowing that while they were taking care of these bandits the village was on lockdown due to the Cabal attack. Their mission finally was completed as they locked up the last bunch of bandits hindering the trade route and they came back to the village in shambles. Yuko’s mood was shot. He strived to live a positive life but seeing his home, his village in the destruction that it was in was mind blowing for the genin. He thought he would come back to his happy village and he would wait for the chuunin exam to come up soon and he could finally make the chuunin rank. Now it seems that the dream is going to have to be put on hold. He had work to do, he had help rebuild his village and he had to always be there to protect it.
