Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Noroshi always liked the concept of money. You work, and you get these little shiny things that you can give to other people in exchange for things you want. However he was always taught that money is to be respected and to always be careful. His mother did an excellent job teaching him the value of a yen, as he knew that hard work paid off, sometimes literally. When an older couple asked (although almost demanded) that Noroshi fix their rooftop in exchange for some yen, he was basically compelled to accept. After all, these people don't seem to mind him jumping around on their house all that often. They were good people, and the recent storm cause a fair amount of damage to their shingles, although it was nothing that couldn't be fixed. The couple had the tools and supplies necessary but not the youthful vigor to venture onto rooftops, something that Noroshi almost had too much of.

The day the couple called him off the roof to offer their job, Noroshi had already noticed that the roof had taken some damage, and surely there was some water damage within the house because of it. The husband brought him into their shed, a damn and musty little structure with many garden-keeping essentials lying about. On the top shelf in the back of a shed sat a large bucket. The old man hoisted it down and gave it to the boy, instructing him that it was tar, a glue like substance that uses the heat of the sun to dry itself and keep out water. He gave him a large brush to use in the spreading of said adhesive. Lastly he opened a draw of his tool bench and withdrew a hammer and a box of nails which with he is to secure the shingles after the tar takes hold. The man brought Noroshi to the side of his house where the shingles were already gathered and stacked and told the boy to hop to it. Noroshi bent over and scooped up the shingles under one arm and in two brisk leaps bounded from the ground to the fence bordering the yard to the roof. He carefully placed the shingles down where they wouldn't slide off and jumped back down the same route to retrieve the rest of his supplies. Once everything was on the roof, he separated them and laid them out neatly.

He came to the first portion of the roof where a shingle fell. He forced the lid of the tar bucket open and dipped his brush in the black solution. He stirred it up in an attempt to loosen the dense fluid and drew his brush back out which being careful to wipe the excess off on the inner side of the bucket so as to minimize stray drops falling. In a single stroke, he filled the space with tar and set the brush across the top of the bucket. He placed the shingle directly over the space and once he was confident that it would fit evenly, he pressed the tile down hard and felt it sink into the glue. He then placed four nails in his mouth just as he had seen the men from his old village do when hammering. He drew one of the nails out along with the hammer, carefully steadying the nail into place. In a few semi-hard thumps, the nail was driven into the roof followed by its remaining three brothers. The next few shingles went as easily as the first. Noroshi was sweating decently by now and even removed his shirt and tied it over is head like a turban to keep the sun off his head. As his job was nearing completion, the boy grew cocky in his nailing skills. On the second to last nail, he missed the head completely and instead drove his thumb into the shingle, yelping in pain for a moment. His finger was red and throbbing as he clutched it in pain. After a minute or two, he regained the state of mind to continue his work and drove the last two nails in. He had used enough tar so that the brush could be stored in the bucket itself without dirtying the handle, and placed it in there during his clean up. He bucket felt even heavier being held with his injured hand, but he endured his jumps back down to the earth below. He handed the tools back to the old man and proclaimed his work done, all the while trying to keep his injured thumb out of view. The man inspected the job from the side of the house and seemed content with the job. He handed Noroshi his due wage and sent the boy off, but not before telling him to be more careful with the hammer next time with grin and a twinkle in his eye.
