Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Part 1: A song sung in the dark . . .

It was a simple mission, that of helping out some warriors or another from another power within the Lightning Country. Short, simple, and to the point. Standard mission for pretty standard shinobi within the various Kumogakurian military. Of course there could be that issue present, one branch not getting along with another, again, the usual stuff. The Main Branch Sennin seemed to believe that they could find a way to work together so she approved the motley crew that was currently stationed at the farm. Fortunately for who was present, they could work together . . . hopefully.

Fortunately for those that were present, there was the standard ANBU leader dude in charge. Rather, one could assume that he was ANBU. He had an all-white mask, black cloak and typical Kumogakurian shinobi armor. There they stood, all assembled on the grounds of a rather large farm that bordered a forest with mountains in the far off distance. The ANBU mission leader only referred to himself as “#126” but one or another of them had gotten away with simply calling him “ANBU dude” or the like.

Giving out orders, he had given everyone the needed info about just what they were looking at. Apparently the farmer had called the other warrior Lightning Country guys to help fend off some raider attacks but they were crap for actually handling things. In fact, all of them had apparently gone mad when they heard a particular sound. No doubt what they were facing skilled sound jutsu experts but #126 seemed to believe that shinobi ought to be handling shinobi problems instead of letting the lesser types screw up the crop imports for the season. The mission was clear, one threat, one team of shinobi and one farm to defend . . . what could possibly go wrong?

OOC: All those approved for this can be found here. Due to the Hurricane affecting the Eastern Coast of the USA and also due to me possibly going out of town provided it doesn't do much. My next post will be Monday, September the 17th.

Yukiin treated his latest assignment in a similar vein as he treated all assignments - humorlessly. The bearing of the boy, although old by shinobi standards due to their fondness of rapidly accelerating the prepubescent into weapons of war, rivaled that of the ANBU though the two were world's apart at the moment. He found their work interesting but also tasteless, the defense of Kumogakure was a noble and worthwhile pursuit but when it was distanced from the individual the value of it was a lot like being described a good meal instead of eating one. The hands-on approach to ensuring his peers survived and excelled was far more to the puppeteer's speed, almost ironic considering his hands-off approach to actual conflict.

If he had to get his hands dirty then things had gone downhill six steps earlier and that was very bad but preplanning in this situation was...difficult. The chakraless might be involved and thus the response had to be proportional, until he understood what he was facing he couldn't determine if it was best to maim or seriously maim the party responsible for the assignment. Anyone that was foolish enough to come into conflict with the Raikage or Daimyo's wishes must also be foolish enough to show up to the scene of their previous crimes so he anticipated the opportunity to pick their brain on the subject, metaphorically...perhaps literally.

Actually this was a fine situation for him as he'd recently began dabbling in audal Genjutsu, still not grasping the finer points of Genjutsu at large as a study but finding that at least one area of study was within his ability to fathom. This might be helped by watching someone else employ it, or maybe he could see how they matched pace and find out what the gulf really was between his casual interest in Genjutsu and a professional's...or maybe they'd just get run through before it mattered.

The white haired and whiter skinned shinobi asked the most pertinent question to the assembled shinobi that he knew, flexing his fingers as his claws slowly emerged and submerged back into the skin of his fingertips; the puppet on his back resting inert as his other weapons stayed concealed in their scrolls until he felt they were needed.

"Think its really just one person?"

Ryuichi arrived in full ANBU attire, including a blank mask given to all AiT, only decorated with the word "Matcha" etched into the mask's forehead (抹茶). Upon arrival he bowed to the one called '126' and greeted any who were here beforehand with a simple. "Hello."

The boy was always up to do a mission given to him, no matter the difficulty. If the higher ups saw it to be worthwhile to send Ryuichi, he would comply. Luckily, this seemed like an easy job to do. Hearing Yukiin ask if it was just one person, Ryuichi took it upon himself to ask. His usual mannerisms completely whipped clean in place for a cut, clear way of speech that could only be considered dry, and unfriendly. The norm for an ANBU branch nin. "I'm almost certain that this is the doing of at least two individuals. Jutsu as strong as the report say aren't exactly the kind of thing a single rogue ninja takes the time to learn, let alone put into effect without some kind of insurance. i.e backup." He said, sitting down cross-legged.

His sword was placed upon his back, slightly digging into the dirt as he sat down. From behind his basic white mask the boy glanced around at all those present. "But that's just the idea of a trainee. I wouldn't take my word for much more than a pinch of salt." He added, waiting for orders from his fellow ANBU trainee who had been appointed leader.

This is an odd one.

For second time today, this thought passed the mind of the young Nara, his mind attempting to understand his assignment to a rather mundane case. It had been a few years into his services with the ANBU, and still from the his understanding of the information given prior to meeting at the farm, there wasn't much of an interesting factor in this case. A sad fact, those most mission tended to be repetitive, a small gem finding itself within the crack of every five of so odd jobs. For a Nara would grew better by dealing with challenges, and things that interested him. He found this case to be lack luster. More information would be gathered at the meeting point, for leaving his barracks, his ANBU gear traditional with the exception of his mask, everything tinted in a dark gray pattern, he wonder however interesting a mundane case of protecting a farm could be.

This is what made the case an oddity. The assignment was solely not made up of members of branch, the gathering of team clearly a diverse group of individual all from different branches. The second was details regarding the job. It still seemed like a rather trivial event, but something that was peaking Raian interest. For one thing the crew prior to the group going mad due to a single sound. This evaluate the raiders to not only be just your run of the mile, but possible trained rogue shinobi, something that was both concerning and dangerous. There was also the details of where it was a single individual or a group of them. Regards of the numbers, a people able to user sound based jutsu was a dangerous thing to not plan for. A serious of essential invisible attacks that could effective target and disable trained warriors, even if there were civilians was not something to make light of.

A bloodline? A Core Ability? Even an Advance Element. A regular run of the mile mission, with raiders utilizing jutsu like attacks wasn't something that you normally heard about. And this oddity its was seemed to make his brain begin firing in over time, the possibility of a skilled threat, how effect the team would be, what role should he play. But...the Nara was getting ahead of himself, not everyone had yet to arrive and it would be poor planning when not all the factors could be counted for. Arriving, he gave a brief, but respectful nod to #126 before greeting the other two with a single wave.

He listened to their brief conversations, but was comfortable with staying silent, his gray pupils hidden by the mask scanning their surrounding. Perhaps more details would be provided when all were accounted for.

Journal Log #10: I've been selected to partake in a mission, after all that time I’ve been away on sabbatical. It's been a long time since I've stretched my legs and got into some trouble. This will be a good opportunity to test my social awareness and to observe my teammate's reactions to my demeanor. “A high functioning sociopath”, the doctor said. Well, hopefully I can demonstrate a more socially acceptable persona during the course of this mission. If I can't fool my team into believing that I'm a normal guy, my undercover assignments will soon be over.

Prior to his arrival at the rendezvous point, Daigo made sure to dress the part. He donned a long dark grey robe with an hood and an plethora of holes. The robe’s appearance was not due to natural wear and tear, but was brought on by his indulgence in kaguyan techniques. Almost every other item of clothing was your standard run of the mill anbu attire. Even the mask he wore was rather basic in appearance...for now. There was not a single personal touch added as of yet. He did this to deny a faint idea about his personality to any who saw it. He moved as stealthily and quickly as possible yet there were others ahead of him.

Hello, everyone. It’s a pleasure to meet you all. My code name is Decay.” he said while bowing. Anyone who took an closer look might observe the crimson red rinnegan patterns in his eyes. He knelt down and performed a few short breathing techniques to focus his mind as he sat over in a corner. Next, he performed yet another quick equipment check, testing his respirator and the like. Daigo might have been many things, but cautious was nearly at the top of the list.

The sound that emanated from the forest beyond occurred without any sense of warning. Usually with those sort of things there would have been sudden stillness to the air or birds suddenly taking to the sky, but instead, the hard to describe sound suddenly just seemed to be. So intense was the sound that Musashi at first didn't know how to react. There was a notable moment of standing still, registering the pain felt by his ears and then feeling the pressure of the sound deep in his bones.

Finally clutching at his ears, he found that the sound didn't seem to let up in intensity and that if anything, it almost transformed from a simple unexplainable sound into a song who's lyrics were just beyond his audible range. It was sort of the feeling that almost seemed imagined but then there was the very real presence of it, and then it stopped just as suddenly as it had come on. The moment of peace that was experience was enough for Musashi to uncover his ears and look around to see things were right with the world. Catching just a glimpse of the farmer and his wife quickly closing both their door and window shutters, Musashi turned to his team and was about to utter commands.

~ ♪ ♬ ♫ ♭ ♮ ♯ ♩ ~<i></i>

Then it started again, only this time it was louder, more intense and more especially pointed. This time the sound forced Musashi to his knees as he attempted to focus on his breathing in order to think clearly through the pain. Just what was this noise and where was it coming from. Unable to determine just what was the sound and what was actually the shaking of the ground, as he struggled to keep his senses, he looked up towards the forest and started to see the trees parting as something giant clearly began to come their way. However, with the sound still reverberating, there was no way to get a clear command out to his team and for the moment, each was effectively on their own in terms of an alert. These were supposed to be shinobi . . . right? Hopefully they weren't all about to be slaughtered.

OOC: A loud, unnatural and undefinable sound has occurred affecting all of our senses. One round of RP posting and then the battle will start. In this round of RPing, only innate BL/CA/Kinjutsu abilities/jutsu, etc will work if used.

Clearly he had not considered that the experience of encountering any other sound-wielding shinobi would be such a wildly uncomfortable experience as Yukiin regarded the sensation of being audibly hammered in the same way a snake regards being pet tail-to-head. The waves of what he only interpreted as noise didn't seem to have any illusory goal and it struck him, along with the sound of course, that there were probably ways to use sound waves for Taijutsu or Ninjutsu as well. He would have to add that to his memory for future incidents after he was done with this cicada-season imitation that was spooking the civillians already; they made the wiser decision of not being outside dealing with it.

It wasn't quite at the level where his ear drums suffered serious damage but it was certainly unpleasant, the ANBU associate seemed to be taking a fair beating over it but it didn't appear that it was killing him. Not that he was in a great position to make any medical assessments when he was covering his ears and recoiling with him, he just figured it was better to use the time he was in pain to give someone else a once over and compare notes. The answer to exam question 1 "Is this a Genjutsu?" seemed to be a real hard "No" but he'd have to confer with others before he was confident enough to turn that in.

Still, the danger of whatever was approaching and shaking the ground with it (much easier to notice when you're already closer to it) was a distraction from him doing his medical duty and the shinobi pointed out towards it, hoping that the physical motion would ensure anyone that was not already aware would be made aware. For all he knew, the attack was weakest on himself and could be debilitating others to the point they couldn't see the incoming threat so it was his task to do his best to minimize that risk and possibility.

However, once his hands were free from his head and he could throw together a pair of seals he figured the intruding party, in whatever quantity, would be very quickly apologetic...or dead. Maybe both.

Matcha was quick to quickly become shaken by the noises, holding his hands against his ears in an attempt to stop it from messing with his head. His in an attempt to stop any genjutsu this could be, he grit his teeth and his eyes went red with three tomoe swirling around his pupil, the glow from his eyes easy to see through the hard mask's eye holes. "Sharingan!" He hissed through his teeth.

He couldn't sense it. As far as his abilities were capable of, this either wasn't a genjutsu at all, or one too strong for him to handle. He simply held his ears, trying to walk to somewhere like a tree or a rock to help block at least a little sound. It was making him feel dizzy, and unable to focus on one action at a time. The pressure building in his body due to the sound didn't help, either. eventually it went away, and the ANBU codenamed "Matcha" was frantic. He quickly looked between trees, and bushes trying to find the assailant. Instead he saw a coming wave of chakra that came in frantic distorted patterns.

Quickly realizing that they weren't done here, he held up four handseals and attempted to use a jutsu, but not fast enough. Before he could cover himself with a protective dome of gravity chakra like he had planned, he was hit with the sound waves same as 126, and the other white haired individual. He kneelled over, gripping his ears tight and trying his damn hardest to keep up with breathing. In, out, in, out, in, out. He continued this internalized pattern until the sound stopped, and....SOMETHING was coming in from the distance.

Seeing this as a chance for battle, Ryu held up the serpent hand seal, and prepared for the worst...

Radian gritted his teeth as the unexpected sound struck his ears. A single hand moved to cover one of them, even as he felt the pressure vibrate his bones. It was not a feeling that the Nara could said was comfortable in the slightest. This was not natural he thought attempting to glance as the rest of the party. Everyone seemed effect from what he could see, but even then it was hard to focus with this sound ringing in his ears.

Then it stopped, making Raian caution go into overdrive as he began scanning the field, brief noticing the civilians disappearing to safety. Good, one less fact to have to take in account. Now-

Raian felt as though a mountain had struck him, his knees nearly touching the ground as he tried to steady himself. Hell, he thought his surgery had been painful but this. An invisible assault that target one sense and involuntary threw his other senses out if order. This was a bad situation, his vision blurring as he tried to focus on the source. He felt felt the vibration as something clearly massive seemed to be moving from the forest.

Raian need a redo, even if it was only for a few seconds. Breathing in, it seemed as the noise vanished for a moment from him, almost as if he had renewed the moment prior to the second assault. The temporal strider ability would make it seem as though he had stepped out the influence. But while it wouldn't last, it would give him enough time to ready himself however.

Sparks charged his fingers as he ready himself for the approaching threat.

Without an early warning sign, a sound wave of washed over Daigo and his team’s ears like an wave over rocks. The force and speed in which it moved was something for which he had not prepared. So much for being cautious. Already kneeling on the ground, it took every ounce of willpower he had not to topple over in agony. He placed his hands over his ears, as if that was gonna prevent the sinister sound waves from striking his tympanic membrane. He never had much experience with genjutsu, but if he was ever an skeptic in regards to how ineffective audial genjutsu was, he would now change his opinion after tonight.

The cone-shaped membrane that separated the external ear from the middle ear was surely planning its funeral as the assault kept up. As any good warrior might have done, he observed what he presumed would be the battlefield despite the pain. His fellow shinobi seemed to share the unpleasant experience of the sound waves. His ambition for the mission did not subside and the enemy was cruising for an bruising in Daigo’s opinion. He tried to rapidly grow an bone membrane around his entire body, both over his muscle fibers and just under his skin. He did so in preparation of the battle to come.

Lord Raiden, watch over my team”, he thought as his tried to make peace with his god. The kaguya believed that to die on the battlefield or in service of some kind was a honor. Today would be no different.

Out of the cabinet and into the oven.

Mishiku made his way back from the ancient forest, he had accidently dozed off after his many hours of training with his short sword. He had to prepare himself for his upcoming mission he was to take as an ANBU operative. The mission was to take place in the next few days although he wasn’t fully briefed on exactly what the details were of the mission but he would find out sooner or later. “My daughter is still in the area, I have to go back to get her!” Mishiku looked over to find a distraught woman trying to get around a middle aged man. “It’s too dangerous! If you back in there, you’ll be killed for sure! I won’t let you.” The man yelled back to the flailing woman.

“What’s the problem?” Mishiku asked wondering what all the commotion was about. The woman ran over to him, tears running down her face, “Oh thank Raiden! You’re a shinobi aren’t you!? Please you must save my daughter and my parents from that thing! They have a small farm in that direction!” The woman pointed.
Wait What?” Mishiku said, still confused on what was going on.
There’s no time! Please! There’s something out there that nearly killed us. We managed to hide from it but it was making its way towards my parent’s farm and my daughter is with them. Please you must save them!” The woman pleaded as she pointed over to the direction of the farm.
Ok, stay here and I will find your family and bring them to you.” Mishiku said, darting towards the location.

After a few minutes of darting through the trees, Mishiku noticed a group of shinobi near the farmland with a few of them wearing the attire of fellow ANBU members. “Looks like the situation is being handled.” Mishiku muttered to himself as he jumped down from one of the larger oak trees behind the shinobi.
Hey guys, I was in the area and this woman was frantic about a…” An ear piercing hellish tune filled the air. Mishiku like everyone else in the group reflexively shielded his ears in hopes to stop the agonizing pain but to no avail the tune still affected his ear drums. Mishiku gritted his teeth in pain, the pain was so unbearable that it brought Mishiku down to his knees, he felt like his ear drums were on the verge of exploding.

The other shinobi were in the same agonizing state that he was in, suddenly he felt the ground shake and Mishiku looked up towards the forest and in the clearing he saw a large figure darting past the trees ripping through shrub and branches in the process. Mishiku activated his sharingan and saw a large unfamiliar shape of chakra, whatever it was it wasn’t human. Mishiku attempted to perform his jutsu but the pain was just too much for him, he could barely stand up let alone concentrate enough to perform handseals. “Damn it!” He thought to himself as the large figure continued to rampage it’s way towards the group. He fixed his sharingan glare towards the clearing of the woods, once he had the thing in his sights he would cast his sharingan genjutsu (Insidious Gaze - Rank 3) through his eyes. [Crippled. Rank Mastered].
Just a little further……” Mishiku said to himself.

(Wanted to make clear that I am using the Insidious Gaze - Passive Uchiha ability to cast the genjutsu through the sharingan. If I cant use it, I will edit it.)

They tried, they kinda of sort of failed, and without anything else to further separate them from the sure that they had coming for them, Musashi reflexively entered Sage Mode as he began to glow with chakra. Looking for the easiest path to traverse, he fused with just the sort of shinobi that he didn't want to . . . a filthy Uchiha. Coming "online" as it were, by the time that he recognized who and what it was that he'd fused with, it was too late to turn back. Taking over one of the boys eye's, it would turn a distinctively green color as the tomoe in the sharingan continued to spin. The sound or whatever they were calling the audible "noise" that they were experiencing stopped just as Musashi was preparing to yell at the boy to stop screwing around and prepare for battle.

"Hey!"

Was all that he managed to get out before the ground began to shake as a dark and hazy fog rushed toward them. From the fog, hundreds if not thousands of long wooden tendrils shot towards them. Apparently the warning shot was the battle cry that they all had recently just experienced. Forcefully taking control of the one green sharingan, Musashi ran quick numbers, did the math, calculated the approximate trajectory and generally did all the practically world breaking geometrically analyzing things that the sharingan was capable of doing in a fraction of a fraction of a second. This was going to hurt if this kid didn't move the heck out of the way.

OOC #1: Using Soul Regalia with Otani Ryuichi, giving him my own stat caps. Used via the Archsage Kinjutsu. He can choose whether it's Weapon, Item or Accessory. ICly, I'm kinda sorta controlling one of his sharingan eyes like it's my personal spy camera to the world.
https://ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?f=812&t=54366

OOC #2: Apologies for the late post. There were some technical difficulties with making the monsters difficult enough to actually pose a decent threat. That being the case, each participant has 5ap to prep and then 10ap for the first round of actions.

Please post your actions in a nice spoiler/OOC message at the end of your post. Remember, you can't quite make out what is coming for you, only that it simply is protected by fog and sending a whole lot of wooden tendril thingies at you.

Mokuton, manipulation of wood, one of those other combination elements that he'd seen at least once before, although with much less of the killing intent and in a smaller quantity. Neither were shocking though, if they could generate life, even in that limited style, as easily as he could manipulate water, air, and draw out temperatures then it would probably be pretty trivial to make this much of the stuff. It did seem odd since the mass was much more than what he ever produced but there was probably some method of stretching their chakra into so much material that the Senju bloodline classification employed that he wasn't privy to...so he earmarked the subject mentally to return to it when he was back in front of his books. Maybe it worked like medical jutsu where you just stretched something you already had...

The medical attention he would've required had he actually been struck by them would've been a good mental segway but he was already outside of their reach, replacing himself with a rock as he hadn't much time to be creative in that regard. Shame he couldn't have at least used a poisoned rock with sharp edges but these were improvements to be attempted in later combat situations, for now he had retreated somewhere dark, dim, and out of sight behind the structure he was defending, throwing out a clone of himself crafted from the ice and winds he was previously comparing to the woodwork. With some luck the switch would make things a bit disorienting, from the enemy's position in the tree line they likely didn't have a great view of things and replacing himself with his clone would've been better but he was a bit stuck on the immediate response of not being run through by angry tree roots.

While his fresh-faced clone deliberately used both of his hands for its seals, Yukiin didn't need to and hopefully, that act would pay off later in a bad assumption about his multi-tasking abilities. His weapon of choice was in one hand, animating strings bringing one of his puppets to life as several of its gears and mechanisms clicked into place, a handful of its dangerous weapons arming as the puppet affixed to his back, Shirudo, also began its work of cycling through his blood and chakra system. The funneling of energy was something he hadn't yet done in a fight before and it made him a bit woozy, having the machinery work through his flesh as an extension of himself was uncomfortable to say the least but since he didn't have a Sharingan or Byakugan or anything of the like he had to rely on mechanical aids to make himself 'more than human'...well besides his bloodline abilities but that was sort of par for the course for a shinobi.

Tsurara remained concealed for the time being with it's wielder as his clone finished its task, drawing down the rain in a heavy storm and speaking on his creator's behalf.

"Mokuton is tough, always wanted to see who would win..."

The clone whisked up the winds around itself, drawing the rain forth into a solid stream of forming ice until the sharp-edged form of what was previously known as a Wind Scythe was created, barreling out at the completion of its seals towards the tree line and towards the perceived origin of the attack. Whether they were there or not it was impossible for Yukiin, or his clone, to know but if this jutsu required him to stay put them he might get a lucky break and cut into him.

"Ice as sharp as a diamond or wood as strong as iron."

He wasn't lying, he was curious, but he felt like he already knew the answer. The saying was that Hyouton was as strong as steel after all, so what could iron offer against it?

Ryuichi Gasped as he felt a massive surge of energy fill his body. A swirling chakra around him gave him just the motivation he needed to snap out of any kind of daze he was still having, feeling completely energized and ready for the coming attack. His ear rings began to glow a green that matched his newly colored sharingan to signify the fusion between the sage, and the Uchiha-blooded AiT. His hair began to float around atop his head as he weaved three more hand seals after the serpent seal he had been holding. "Katon: Searing eruption!" He said, letting a mass of orange, white, and green chakra build in his arm for several seconds before moving his arm as it throwing a handful of shuriken.

A massive wall of white, orange, and green flames shot out of his arm in an attempt to burn the wooden jutsu, and obscure his next movements. The fire was large enough to also attempt to protect the nearby buildings from damage, aside from a few scorch marks. Wanting to make haste, Ryuichi made a tiger seal, and the generic clone seal to allow three versions of Ryu to appear from a swirl of green fire, all of them having a faux green sharingan to help disguise the real one.

He couldn't help but find himself wondering if 126 had a connection to his mind while in this state, so Ryu thought to himself 'Oi, can you hear me like this or do I need to talk out loud and seem crazy?' And prepared for whatever was coming.

Haunted Forest

Mishiku focused his intense sharingan gaze on the large figure, waiting for it to show itself but as if nature itself decided to block Mishiku’s attempts, a shroud of mist filled the clearing of where the figure would be once it exited the forest. The hellish tune began to subside and Mishiku began to have control over his body once again but immediately after the sound stopped the ground began to erupt with spiked wooden tendrils heading towards the group’s way.

One of the members looked as if they disappeared and merged with one of the other members, wait did that actually happen? Mishiku couldn’t focus on that right now, the wooden spikes were getting closer and he had to take advantage of the opportunity of using his body before that damn song erupted again. Mishiku swiftly made hand seals and soon 2 clones of himself emerged, both of them with the activated Sharingan. Whatever was in the mist, Mishiku had to draw it out into the open and from there he knew whatever the threat was would be overwhelmed by the group’s actions. He made his next move quickly in order to coordinate it with his new teammates.

As the sound seemed to fade from his ears, Raian drew a silent breath, his mind calculating the next possible avenue of assault. Unlike his companions, he seemed to pause for a moment at the approaching assault, his mind firing back and forth as he analyst the best approach for this situation. Attacking, there wasn’t a change that his moves would hit, disappearing from the combat might cause him more like to be hit by stray fire, and the problem of still being unable to see the assailant wasn’t helping matters. Though by the approaching threat of being impaled, a mix of both office and defense would be the best bet. They still did not know if it was clear one person attacking, this rapid-fire assault of two separate attacks was a strange combination.

His mind finish calculating his odds, he flew through his hand-signs, the gravity around him becoming freer as his body to feel lighter as his prep for his initial assault. Following him his felt the chakra above his stir as single eye began to for, perhaps giving him a better view on what hidden from sight. Not wasting time, he allowed the flow of chakra into his hands once ore, the air around it sparking as lighting began to form on his palms, the Nara taking am second before clapping them, a wave of energy surging towards the forest, hopefully destroy some of the wood headed there way. Even as wave scattered from his hands, he was on the move, his eyes glancing around as he attempted to shift his role for assault and defense.

What the hell was that horrible sound?! It literally came out on nowhere. Now there’s some black fog and wooden tendrils. If wooden tendrils are approaching, why didn’t we at least see the tops of the trees being shaken as they moved passed them? Why didn’t we see the fog off in the distance? No warning? No signs that these threats were coming our way. There was nothing wrong before we heard the sound. Think bastard, there isn’t much time.”, he thought to himself. Upon first hearing about this mission, Daigo might have thought an genjutsu of some sort was responsible for what happened to the last group of people. If this were true, then was the farmer ever affected? Was there any strange behavior that either the farmer or the previously hired group of warriors might have remembered doing after the sound drove them mad.

So many questions and so little time to have them answered. Daigo wanted to run into the farmer’s home, just to ensure their safety, but he would not abandon his teammates. That’s why he learned clone jutsus an very long time ago. With the danger approaching, Daigo took an deep breath and exhaled as his firm, white-ish, flexible connective tissue seeped from his pores like liquid. What appeared like white paste quickly articulated on the surface of his entire body and formed an hardened exoskeleton for protection and support. Daigo would go on to use certain jutsu which would help him better understand the view of the battlefield and rule out some routine inquiries.

Round Note(s):
-To make it easier on me, if at all possible, link to the jutsu in use and clearly state how much AP you’re working with/how much ap something cost.

-Also please separate your actions from your creation/clone actions . . . and also from your conditionals.
Putting the following . . .
Joe Ninja’s Actions~
1. Do rasengan
2. Have Clone do Chidori
3. Do fireball
4. Have contract basic strike

Will result in you standing still while each thing happens in a row. By clearly separating actions between user, clone and creation, along with conditionals, things can in many instances happen concurrently instead of in a row.

-ProTip, watch out for screwing over your allies with your actions . . .

-Another ProTip, if you see that your ally is fighting in a certain style, see if you can play to their strengths instead of simply focusing on racking up your damage count. You might end up doing more damage in the long run.

-DM/PM me with any questions.

"Clean cut at least..." The concealed shinobi mumbled, observing that the battlefield had undergone a few changes in the past few seconds that were not exactly predicted...cleanly. Attempting to use fire-based abilities in the sleet and rain was only going to cause more issues but then again, they hadn't exactly exchanged names, phone numbers, and preferred methods of execution so it was difficult to realistically predict...definitely something he'd have to recall and keep in mind in future. It seemed most of his talents were very broad in range, fighting with allies heavily restricted him. There were plenty of highly destructive things he could do but with allies running around that would be dangerous. He had to keep the damage specific and localized, at least for now.

The enemy had at least revealed themselves, some sort of plant-like creatures who were a long way from home if they were here. Summons seemed like the most likely thing, but their summoner wasn't apparent at the moment. The targets they were defending, shone under a new literal light, also didn't seem to be what they appeared...very strange indeed. Hopefully trying to bring the creatures into custody alive would yield some answers.

"Taking them alive would be best, please take steps towards that end. If they're summoned they might not leave a corpse to cut into." The clone said on Yukiin's behalf, the shinobi moving his fingers in the intricate dance of Kugutsu as Tsurara lashed out against her victims. While that was being managed he retrieved some additional poisons from storage, crushing the components into mist and directing it out to his puppet where it could settle and apply. The manual application of poison was easier but on the battlefield, time was a factor and accuracy was another one, better to let the internal mechanisms spread the toxin after its captured then to pump it as a liquid through the puppet in proximity to yourself.

Ideally both targets would be the victim of some very rough attacks on their nervous systems, plant or not they followed the same rules and an assault on a biological organism was the same across the board. The addition of a cell wall wasn't much help against the type of toxins shinobi employed, weakening them was much easier when he could remove the toxin as well if push came to shove.

Although he intended to keep up the pressure, thats what the clone was for after all. Not good for much else but a consistent, repeated, barrage of attacks would ensure that the target couldn't easily move into any other tactics that were less defensive unless they planned on absorbing the damage...and based on what it seemed to do, cutting as easily into them as anything else, that would be...unwise.

Hiding in the shadows though was only going to increase injury to his allies, however, and that would be unacceptable for someone of his branch and thus the shinobi took a position on the stage, holding out his hand as the torrent of ice erupted forth, revealing his position as the icy shark-shaped projectiles crashed down onto both victims. The plentiful water in the rain and sleet made sure that he would have very little trouble repeating that if required but he had wanted to move onto more...conservative measures.

His eyes split and narrowed, casting a Genjutsu-like crip of cold in the chlorophylly of both of the plant-based annoyances that had made the woefully misguided decision to be a thorn in Kumogakure's side. His voice came out, not from his clone this time, with crystalline clarity.

"Sit still while the venom works and that will be easier."

Ryuichi was quick on his feet, and even quicker with his actions. He held up an arm as the treant slammed him in order to cushion the blow a bit, yet it didn't seem to help much all things considered. However, with that in mind the Uchiha-blooded child didn't let that stop him, using the sudden close proximity to blow several hot embers onto the nature-beast, leaving a small fire on it's body that didn't seem like it would grow much with how damp the body of it was. However, this would give everyone a chance to hit it while it was in a burnt state, and one thing Ryu knew....Charcoal is softer than normal wood.

He held a handseal and his body burst into white, and green flames, burning the ground beneath him and filling him with energy. He just needed to find an opening on this thing...He jumped back, watching Michi flash into the fight, getting a good blow on it, and noted how the other white haired nin had gone away. Did he perhaps run away? For backup? Who knew, however when this passed there would be questions...

Ryu couldn't think long, because another heavy attack was headed his way, while he was quick to avoid it. now Ryu had to make a plan. The coming fog was going to be a problem if there was any kind of poison, or harmful effects...shit, he had no clue if the treant was the cause, or a mutual creation of the mist. If they beat this thing, would more show up? There was no telling at this point. However, if Ryu could help hold this thing down, they would be able to destroy it and find the root of the problem.

With that, Ryu's sharingan spun to signify genjutsu channeling through them, and effecting the giant tree. 'weird...usually that doesn't work against chakra-creations. Something's up here 126.' He thought, really hoping he was heard.

As rain began to fall, Ryu had to devise a way to hold this down before going all out. Seeing a giant cloud of scalding ash flying towards the treant, Ryu was quick to jump away to avoid yet another strike.

'Got it!' He thought, holding up the dog hand seal. White electrical chakra began to spark, and sizzle in his hands before pointing to the treant. When he did, one could note the faint surges of electricity that could be seen running across it's body from time to time, temporarily causing it to twitch when moving. Just as the jutsu was intended.

As he did, one could see his clone inhaling deeply, having prepared their jutsu. "Multi-pheonix fireball!" They said, letting 15 small fireballs swarm the air in front of them, all pelting the behemoth in their way, save for a couple with landed on stray trees, or rock.

Using this as a chance, the AiT slapped the ground, letting chakra flow through his hands as a large golem emerged in front of him. 'Now we have something to trade hands with this thing....but we haven't even done much to it. 126, do you have any plans?' He thought
