The Manticore In the Spine [Self Modded Mission]

Now that he had begun to regain his confidence it was only a matter of time before Yuuto resumed his normal duties, even if he was the only Masaru in the village currently, there was still an obligation to slay beasts that threatened the realm. Tonight Yuuto's target was a Manticore, a troublesome chimera like creature.

Yuuto knowing that his opponent was tough, and seemed to be a hybrid of a Hyena and Scorpion. The shinobi who was able to snapshot this creature barely got away with his life in tact. Yuuto would take note of this information now comfortably knowing he wouldn't be dealing with a flying type but one who stuck to the ground. Either one wouldn't be able to compete with his Gravtity Jutsu, and his Genjutsu would soften them up.

Upon reaching the base of the creature's nest he would begin his preparations brandishing his mic that he used to do battle with. He also began pouring chakra into his hands, focusing wind energy and then condensing it into that of pure sound in order to wrap his fists in sound waves. The last of his preparations was doing a small prayer before he continued.

This Manticore was going to be slippery, since he didn't fly it meant that it roamed the ground more, They were truly invading in its entire domain. It meant he'd have to be extra careful and observational. Yuuto would use the Crystal Eye jutsu creating another eye so that he could watch himself from an aerial position while utilizing his third eye to increase his abilities.

Yuuto walked through the crag path, with his crystal eye floating above, lightning streaked across the sky, thunder trailing behind it slowly. There was no rain yet, the skies were just starting to gray. As he came to a fork in the path, the veteran slayer ran up the mountain instead opting to take higher ground. As he reached the top of the wall, a foul stench started to fill the air. It was a wafting wave of death, and reek smells. Yuuto already guessed what this smell could be but without the cadavers there was no way to ensure it. So he continued down this path, his guard more up now and prepared for what may come from his opponent.

It didn't take long for him to find the nesting ground, he just followed the stench, and eventually found the mound of human bones and bodies that the Manticore had collected for its food source. The maneater didn't seem to be here, not at the moment but Yuuto knew how to piss it off. Yuuto charged Lightning energy through his hands gripping his mic before he spit a track from Oki Sean's Song, Jump out the Window.

“Whoa Whoa/ I think I’m ready to jump out the window/ And turn that ninja that you with right back into your friend, though/We already wasted too much time/ And your time is the only thing I wish was mine/So yeah, oh yeah, I think I’m ready to jump out the window”

Yuuto then pointed his mic at the pile of bodies streaming out a Gigavolt Cannon that he boosted with Jutsu Expansion. He caused the jutsu to increase in size streaking the electricity across the bodies setting them ablaze. He watched the fires rise and the smoke collect in the air quickly drawing a screech of anger that echoed through the mountain. A creature's loud steps could be heard and the ground was felt shaking. The Manticore came barreling around a corner stumbling while running to get to its food. The creature was smaller than it looked in the snapshot hinting to a bit of misinformation Yuuto positioned himself in front of the pile and the Manticore...

“Straight up, straight up, look
Know ya momma didn’t raise you to take no disrespect, yeah
I feel, I feel like real queens know how to keep the game in check, yeah
You cried on my phone the whole night”

Yuuto then vanished before the creature's eyes, and began to run away while the beast blindly striked. The Invisibiity genjutsu would be the first of his Genjutsu Songs that he would then layer with another jutsu, the Ambiance of the Forbidden coming out of stealth hitting the creature with an Amp'd version of it as the sound waves ripped the air apart around it. The Manticore Stumbled dazed from the assault as Yuuto came out of the Invisibility.

However the creature was extremely sturdy shrugging off Yuuto's attack and continuing its own assault. A tail whip came from the scorpion stinger and struck Yuuto across his chest. His breastplate took most of the assault still he was scratched venom dripping in his system. He felt a bit lightheaded, and his feet heavier. However the next strike from the creature's front claws prompted Yuuto to use Stunt Double singing more of the song.

“That time he crossed the line yeah, yeah, yeah
(Oh I was there) I went to straighten his ass out
And you told me never mind”

He disappeared from sight once again leaving 7 clones behind each one boosted from his enchanter style and his mind crush, the third eye of the Masaru doing most of the work. Yuuto took a moment to re-position himself while the Manticore swiped at his doubles. They were evading the attacks, some getting hit, but then the creature tired of the games, crashing at the ground erupting rocks out of the ground into the clones clearing the field. Yuuto could see the beast was becoming enraged annoyed by the trickery. He decided he couldn't play too nice so he had to come up with a debilitating pattern. First was the Night Genjutsu, Yuuto using Mind Crush, and Mental Focus to increase the odds of hitting the beast. The creature couldn't handle the genjutsu well, its will becoming weaker as time progressed in the battle.

Yuuto then used Perception Filter changing it to an Audial Sense, and causing the Manticore to essentially have a high likelihood to stumble and miss the attack. Now that the creature would have to work ten times harder to move, and attack accurately he could begin his work on dismantling its life force.

“Remember when you used to come through and hit the Mario Kart
And you always picked the princess
I realized you was princess way back then
We the best thing that never happened, but”

Yuuto used Perfected Rasengen forming the orb on the end of his mic with his vocals, the raw chakra spinning purely like a sapphire. He then coated it in air from the wind around them, manipulating the nature and shape of the Rasengan into a Rasen-Sound Shuriken. He sent the vocal wave at the creature cutting its chakra tendons. However he tagged the Shuriken with another jutsu the Echo Strike, using Jutsu Expansion with it to increase its power tremendously. Yuuto of course was much stronger with Sound Jutsu, so the damage pelted the creature knocking it down.

The creature now was slowly losing health mentally from the genjutsu, agitating it heavily while it now got pounded by constant sound waves. The Manticore could barely process everything that was going on, its senses on ten and rising. Yuuto continued the assault while it fell over onto the ground curling up into a ball. The skin of the manticore began to harden and Yuuto could feel its mental resistance rising. Somehow the creature was enduring all the of the damage focusing solely on that. Its wide inaccurate swipes still offset by the weight of Night and the terror of Perception Filter.

Yuuto stopped rapping to watch the beast as it began to uncurl. It was ragged, still clearly it only endured the pain not completely ignore it. The Manticore's panting and haggard breathing soon calmed itself becoming a slow heave as it closed its eyes and began to lay motionless. Yuuto saw the wounds beginning to fizzle realizing that the beast was attempting to heal itself. He wouldn't allow it to though and immediately used Tree Binding forcing the Manticore to envision itself stuck in a tree unable to move or do anything.

Yuuto dropped his mic preparing to finish the creature with a single blow. He began to charge chakra into his hands using Chidori Control to create a large blade of lightning. Yuuto then rushed forward digging his hand into the Manticore's heart, leaving the beast bleeding and in pain. Yuuto gripped the creature's heart and then ripped it out seemingly ending the battle. Now that the beast had been toppled he dropped his Genjutsu and styles taking a moment to breath.

The Veteran Shinobi pulled a scroll out setting it down in order to summon a backpack from the scroll. The large backpack had a holster and a Giant sword and lantern attached to the back of it. These were his old puppet weapons the Ruined King and the Emerald Lantern. He was going to behead the beast and allow the lantern to devour its chakra and essence, however something was amiss. Without warning a loud roar rang through the mountain prompting Yuuto to get startled and turn around to see the Manticore had risen again, even without its heart and rushed down Yuuto. The creature tackled the shinobi off of the ridge causing him to lose his weapons and plummet with the beast whose scorpion claws dug into his sides now leaking blood and poison. The manticore snarled in Yuutos face as he snarled back. They crashed at the bottom both taking heavy injury barely able to move.

Yuuto blacked out for a moment, flickering in and out of consciousness seeing that the Manticore was barely breathing at this point. Yuuto struggled to speak but he managed to sing a tune to himself, a healing melody of his own to revitalize himself. He had regained enough energy to use another jutsu, Regeneration, a A-Rank Medical Jutsu, that would bring immediately start healing Yuuto every few seconds. He then used Angelic Blessing, blowing through more his chakra but healing himself in the process.

Yuuto was able to stand soon, hobbling over to the creature as his wounds closed. He gripped the head of the dying beast staring at its eyes as if he was looking into its soul. In this moment Yuuto respected the foul beast that had endured a few rounds of abuse missing most of its telegraphed physical attacks. However it was nimble and powerful, it was sturdy and if not for Genjutsu Yuuto may have never even struck the creature. With its ability to continue to move without its heart Yuuto began to get an idea. He started to utilize the Chimera Gene in him, infecting the creature with his own twisted chakra breaking down its and controlling its flesh. He opened his own pores and began the process of assimilation collecting the body of the Manticore into his own being. He wasn't sure what would be the end result of this but he did know having the biological data of a creature such as this endurable menace, would provide him with the defense he sorely lacked.
