Quick Character Description:
Nataku is, in a word, terrifying. A slender build that wouldn't really reveal the immense strength hiding within. Often people can just get an eerie feeling from his presence alone. He has jet black hair that goes down to his shoulders. Often his facial features are hidden by hair. His eyes are brown, but can shift to red when he is angry or his demonic blood is active, and can turn into the Rinnegan in certain situations as well. He has two fangs hidden in the back corners of his mouth, often missed unless he is smiling (which is rare). His clothing is usually traditional of his surroundings, and he tries not to stand out too much from the crowd. His skin is pale white, when he's not transformed into a demon.
Quick Mental Description:
Nataku is depressed. So depressed that he let his split personality, Senkaku, run his life for years. Now he returns to find himself among ruins. He is struggling with identity issues and memory loss, and feels as though he has far more power than he can ever control. In conversations with others, he is often distant and his responses usually taken a dark turn. His outlook on life is not a positive one, yet despite all his failure he can still seem to come off as egotistical. Perhaps this is due to his immense strength and the way he hides it, allowing people to perceive him as a much weaker shinobi. In a counter-measure to the condescending words of others, he is stubborn and full of himself. Senkaku is the opposite, loving to go out and have a good time. He also loves fighting and blood, embracing everything the world has to offer with a very selfish viewpoint. If it benefits him, you can bet Senkaku will do it.

- Early Life: Nataku was always the kind-hearted child and wanted to help people as much as he could. His younger brother, Miroku, was just the opposite. Somehow they got along. Born to a noble family, Nataku wanted for very little and discovered at a young age that he was a different from almost everyone else. His mother was a skilled doctor and former Med-nin of Sunagakure, and she was the first to notice. Proud of how intelligent her son was she decided to send him to the Toraono Dojo where he could learn to defend himself and study medicine like she did as a shinobi in Sunagakure. Nataku had always felt out of place and frequently felt his mind expand beyond his body. He was still new to life, not capable of understanding the gravity of what it meant to be what he was. He had no idea what he was capable of, nor did he understand how different he truly was from a normal human. During his stay at the Toraono dojo his actions during sparring sessions attracted the attention of the Grandmaster of the Dojo. Toraono Kaibudo began his initial strength training noticing that Nataku was a lot like his youngest son Kuro. Every so often, Kaibudo would send Nataku on training missions in the desert with various teachers to promote a balance between his medical studies and his martial arts which came to rely on swordsmanship. During one training session Nataku stumbled across a hidden oasis that somehow called to him. The animals in this oasis seemed to resonate with him and it was there he met a true Youkai. He would return to this oasis on his own and would train there for extended periods of time. He learned to farm the land to stay fed, he learned to hunt the stronger beasts that would have thought he was prey, using their folly for meat. Nataku quickly became a strong and well-rounded medic/swordsman, and once his mother deemed him strong enough to handle his own life, things started changing. He was sent to live with his father in Soon and it was there he would undertake secret training sessions.
- Training Years: His father always taught him that his greatest asset was that nobody knew of his true strength. To everyone else, he was a successful doctor trained by medics from Sunagakure. Secretly he was the heir to his father’s vast fortune and empowered by the blood of his demonic ancestors. His role in the shinobi world was largely a backseat role; he would occasionally heal the shinobi who requested his assistance for pay and those from Suna for free. Thus, all his father’s enemies would underestimate him, and he would have a natural advantage. He swore to do good, and not fit the stereotype of being demon blooded, and as such he hid his demonic powers and carefully practiced medicine in the open and even more carefully in the shadows. He was doing incredibly well, but one day something bad happened. He developed a relationship with a team of shinobi that had lost their medic to a sandwyrm. Every now and them, he would help them out.
- Failure: During one of his trips to assist a Nomad Clan near the Mountain region, he had the opportunity to assist this team of shinobi. These were ninja he had gotten to know on a regular basis from their frequent outings and as such they knew he was a great medic and capable swordsman. If anything, they were his friends. It was supposed to be a simple gathering and distribution of supplies mission, but it turned into a struggle that Nataku swore he would never forget. At least at the time he thought that way. The trauma of the massive battle with strange warriors of elemental power damaged not only his body but his psyche as these warriors wiped out his team and much of the nomadic tribe he had come to help. Flashes of the battle echoed through his mind where he had been confronted by a strange lightning wielding warrior whom had all but killed him. Nataku survived the attack through muscle memory alone. The women of the tribe whom found him told him that he had been struck by lightning over and over but refused to fall and kept lashing out with his sword giving them the chance to flee and hide. He took little solace in that since over 60% of their 210 person tribe had been slaughtered along with his friends because he had not been strong enough in his mind. Over the years, the details of the attack seemed to fade away from him. All he remembered was that at the end, he was the only squad member remaining. The memory would latch onto his mind like a long lost lover at the oddest times. Each time the memory resurfaced Nataku believed that it was his fault and failure to perform as a Med-Nin that led to the tragedy.
- The Dark Side: His father would later tell him that it was his lack of awareness that led to their defeat, and that if he had mastered his darkside then he would have been more than capable. The despair shattered his mind causing Nataku to develop a split personality disorder. This alter ego, Senkaku, was straightforward and very indulgent in pleasure and vengeance. Senkaku was outgoing, as Nataku hid deeper within his own mind to escape his sadness over his perceived failure. He encountered a woman of which he grew to care for, and began a friendship with her. Her nickname was “Kuma (Bear)” and that was how he referred to her. They were acquaintances from the academy, but once her squad died as well they became closer as Senkaku was there to comfort her. All he knew is that of all the people in the world, Bear was the most genuine he had ever met.
- The Awakening: While working on treatments for some children with Sandwyrm fever, Nataku learned something new about himself. He ran into Kuro briefly and noted that he had a demonic power within his eyes. This triggered a flood of memories, and he flashed back the remembering that he too possessed eyes like Kuro. When he was a child he had been able to turn the Rinnegan on and off and then as he hid his abilities like his father had taught him. How had he forgotten something so primal to himself. Nataku talked with Kuro for a while and actually received a full explanation on how Kuro called upon his expanded existence. Taking it to heart he began to study himself once more and push the boundaries within his mind to find what he had lost within himself. He found himself searching for more forms of weapons training to push himself.
- Sensei: He found a master near the edge of Wind Country near a gambling hall of great renown. He claimed he could teach Nataku the way of Heaven’s Sword. He was lying to Nataku, convincing him that he was part of a larger organization with a code and set of values, only to learn later that he was just advancing personal agenda. He did, however, have the foresight to know that Nataku could be an incredibly dangerous swordsman who needed a set of values to control his potential. As part of the deal, Nataku would take over the body of a man he killed, and use that to constantly train with his new sensei. After explaining this to Kuma, they came to the conclusion that this swordsman was the man that had killed Bear’s squad on their resupply mission. The seals he used were like those of the elemental warriors he had fought to a standstill long ago. Nataku still had unexplained memory loss, never knowing it was an alternate personality that caused it. Senkaku had long ago learned to inscribe a seal upon himself that would separate his consciousness into different bodies, dividing his soul among them. Nataku was literally living years of his life as two different people without even knowing. Until mastering the seal himself he had never known he had a split personality disorder. Upon regaining this control and willpower, he understood himself. He was not a single entity anymore, but a consciousness that drifted among vessels.
- Fleeting: Fate struck again, as Senkaku's path had been on an important mission for his sensei. Nataku was at work experimenting with seals and managed to unlock the one Senkaku had created. This caused an unintended consequence: Senkaku's path suddenly stopped existing. It just dropped, a lifeless corpse. This, in turn, interrupted the important mission. As a result of this, his mentor did was not able to be warned of the attack and perished at the hand of enemy shinobi. As Senkaku saw it, this was the same guy that had killed Bear's squad and so he didn't feel bad. Senkaku might have killed him himself. Nataku however blames himself for yet more death, as he was unable to help someone in their most crucial moment. He likely won't talk about it, but nobody besides Senkaku even knows that it happened. Nataku swore he would uphold the code that his mentor falsely imprinted upon him.
- The Second Loss: Nataku returned to Sunagakure now and then as he had begun a romantic relationship with his friend Bear. All this time, he had managed to keep the extreme strength he possessed a secret from even his closest friends and his mother. He was mostly quiet with his mother, rarely getting involved in politics and regular civilian behavior. He came off as socially reserved. With Kuma, he was outgoing and bubbly. Even she didn’t know, but she found out one day. Nataku found out Kuma was being sent on a secret mission that was supposed to be extremely dangerous. Naturally, she didn’t tell Nataku about it, but he had his ways. He followed her, keeping an eye on her from time to time making sure she remained safe. His watchful eye wasn’t enough, as a three man team of shinobi surrounded her. He could barely even flinch before he was forced to watch her get impaled from behind with a sword, two more blades flashed each striking vital points her heart, spine, and lungs were all pierced in milliseconds. That was it, no witnesses on the street except Nataku at a distance, just as Bear’s body began slumping to the ground. One of the masked shinobi turned and looked at Nataku and said, “If you continue down this path Doctor, this will be your fate.” Nataku was desolate as dark rage filled his entire being. Discovered he leaped out from his hiding spot and attacked. He was much stronger than these masked shinobi could have ever anticipated. Nataku did something he had never done before, he transformed into his full demon form and ripped them apart, spreading their remains across the sand. Then he went to ‘Bear’ and tried to use his Medical Jutsu to save her. It was a too late, and he knew it as he smelled the sour –sweet stink of carmot laced poison, it wasn’t just destroying her blood cells it was eating her chakra so she couldn’t resist it. Her last words to him were, “You’re pretty scary…” as a weak smile appeared on her face. Then she died, there in the sand cradled in his demonic arms. This is the last memory Nataku has. The last time he felt emotion. The last time he felt anything.
- Present Day: Nataku awakens in Sunagakure, considering himself a failure in all respects. He could not protect the ones he loved. In depression, Nataku allowed Senkaku to take over his mind and goes absent-minded for years. Then the Cabal attacked. One day he woke up buried in rubble just beneath the remains of the Kazekage’s tower. Nataku returns to his natural senses at the age of 24, and only the memories of his training remain. What happened to the last few years? Nataku feels that he is the worst kind of failure. The details of his life as Senkaku are still hidden from Nataku but for how long? He was confined to a single body again. There was little else to do than to start rebuilding.
