Groaning in what could be described as lingering pain, as evident by the fact he now found himself laying in a crater that sat imbued into the side of the mountain, he hadn't been expecting an attack of that calibur, though perhaps he was being a bit naive. As his crimson eyes looked down, he could see the beast staring him down, waiting to see what his next move would be. A complicated answer to a simple question for sure, or It would be if it wasn't for the simple fact he was a warrior first and a Shinobi second. It be no secret to anyone he'd prefer a up close and personal fight than some shadow game played by the Jonin back in the village. He sighed at the thought before grabbing what strength he could from his arms. Forcing himself up, with only inches to spare, he returned the gesture at the raged induced Youkai with a stern face, showing that in his defiance, he would not be dying easily. So with that in mind, it was time to up the annuity and attempt another assault. With a smirk finding itself bound to his skin, he drew and gripped his blade once more. Through mastery and augmentation over lighting, he propelled himself like a bullet being fired down the barrel of a gun, encasing the samurai warrior in a thick shroud of lighting. Within seconds, before the beast could even respond, he had blitzed behind the monster. With ignition of fire propelling from his blade, he spawned a hellfire like no other, unleashing a monstrous heatwave on the unexpecting...

Caught off guard by the teenager's sudden burst in speed, albeit only briefly the titanic wolf's eyes found themselves in shock when they suddenly realized the danger were in. Without further warning, the super heated air it found itself surrounded in, suddenly detonated from underneath from it's feet, triggering a titanic explosion like no other seen so far, engulfing the monster in a blaze of quite literal fury. Terrible moans, groaning and even roaring could be hear in all directions as found itself in true agony. Seeing the beast in what seemed, everlasting pain, a sinister smirk couldn't help but take form as his crimson eyes laid witnessed to his handy work. He'd figured he'd Magnum Break the Daiyoukai's ass, but he wasn't expecting this, not that he complain. If anything, It only made him another opening for him to exploit. Using this new found opportunity, he rushed in once again, clenching the ebony grip of his Odachi. Getting in even closer than before, he effortlessly dodged the enraged beast's attempt at keeping him at bay with the use of it's tail. Deciding It was time for that thing to go, seeing how he didn't want to be slapped by it like how Sunako used to slap him when he failed to meet her expectations, he swerved out of it's attack's arc and attempted to end it, Execution style. Propelling himself further with a jolt of lightning, the lightning boosted his speed just long enough, allowing him to garter some must needed air. Once gravity began tearing him back down, he lifted his massively long blade and took aim for the monster's tail. Entrapped by the aftermath affects of the explosion he had caused prior, Masuda found himself unaware until It was too late. As a great consequence, the monster found itself unaware until it was too late, allowing the young warrior to show no mercy as the Odachi's blade effortlessly tore through the tailhead, causing CRITICAL DAMAGE, triggering a monstrous, agonizing roar as the massive, white furred tail suddenly fell to the snowy ground beneath, which was instantly followed up by what could be described as a river of blood. As If the tables were turned however, as soon his boots found itself on the ground, he found himself almost completely blindsided as the enraged monster sent it's claws racing straight for him. Unable to move in time, with only what? Milliseconds to respond, all he could was raise his blade and attempt to SOMEHOW parry the attack. As a result, despite his skill in sword play, the monster's claws still found their mark, even If It was only a partial hit. The tips of it's claws tore away into his Kimono, taking milliseconds at best to tear and rip into his chest. With unexpected pain, he clenched his teeth as he felt the claws tear into his chest, drawing blood. There was no time to respond further to that however, as with the attack only being a partial hit, the beast sent enough force to kick him back, throwing him back a dozen or so feet. Now laying in the snow, which was now, starting to be painted red, the color of his blood, a groan escaped him as he looked up at the sky. Well It wasn't like he hadn't expected this, but that didn't mean he ever get used to the pain. He sighed while closing his eyes. After a few moments of rest however, the young warrior found himself pulling himself back up, ready to continue the fight.
