Evident by the lack of time he had, there was no hope to think of a solution for a counter attack or pull himself out of dodge, though he was having doubts he could even dodge such an attack in the first place. Rather, with the only resource at his deposal sitting imbued from within the palms of his hands, his fingers still locked in a tora formation, his mind raced to the quickest thing his mind could conjure in the few seconds he had. From his lungs and mouth, the tremendous amount of chakra he had gathered from prior, was now being condensed into one colossal ball of energy of his own. Truth be told, he had never tried this before, let alone something of this magnitude, but what choice did he have? It was either this or certain death. With his palms now crossed over one another, he held them up in a horizontal fashion, took aim at the monster that seeked to end his life, and fired. Immediately, the colossal sphere of energy raced towards his target, screaming even as It tore through the air like a powerful gust of wind and than....nothing. He blinked twice, than his eyes tore wide open. Just like that, all that raw chakra wasted, he couldn't believe it. The moment his chakra sphere made contact with the beast's, It was simply absorbed into it's mass, as It had been nothing but a brief interference. With nothing in it's trajectory, the beast's vile weapon continued it's screaming advance towards him. Was this it? Was this all he had? To go so far, to survive so much, only to die in a place like this? In a moment of weakness, a first for him, he closed his eyes, ready to finally accept death, and end the anguish he's had to deal with until now. He surrounded himself in complete darkness, awaiting for death to finally take him. Amidst the shadows however, stood a lone ray of light, a beacon If you would. He found himself dumbfounded by it's sudden appearance, but the moment It took it's true form, he found himself chuckling at the sight. It was his purple lotus, of course It was. Her projection stood there, tilting her head ever so slightly to the right of her shoulder, clearly confused.
"Why do you hesitate? Or have you forgotten the promise you made to me? Because I haven't. I'm still waiting for him to come back to me." The way she ushered those words, his stomach twisted in ways he never thought possible. They had cut deep, like a hot blade cutting through a block of butter. He hadn't forgotten, that would be impossible, It was just, well, he didn't know the words to say or how to express himself.
"I don't know who you are, but the man I love would never give up, no matter the danger. On principle alone, he would stand his ground, all the way to the end. Unlike him, you cower before death, so eager to meet your end. That's not the end for any true warrior of the code." Hearing her thoughts, he chuckled again. She would be brutal in her words. That was just like her but he wouldn't expect anything less from the woman he had loved. Where he would often falter and question why he was doing the things he was doing, the same could never be said for her. Ever so diligent and hardworking she was. Despite being forced into her position with little, If any freedom, she never fumbled, spoke out or hesitated, not once since he had known her, which couldn't be said for himself, always needing guidance and conviction to press forward with his life. For a moment, his cheeks turned a faint pink. Kami, she was so much stronger than him. A truly impressive woman indeed, and he considered him blessed to have her, and If on que, or If she could read his mind, which he swear on his life, she could in fact do, he felt her warm embrace, her arms stretching around his damaged frame. She rested her head on his shoulder, nestling the side of her head against him. He thought to say something, but there was no need, for she could only be the only person who could read and understand his very soul, so in the end, no word were need to be exchanged as he closed his eyes and returned the embrace. Silence soon followed, but eerie? It was not, but like any dream, nothing can last forever. In what felt just a few seconds, the warm embrace he had come to partake in, he found it ending as soon as It came, triggering a storm of emotions he had not experienced in a long time, so much so, he had almost forgot what they felt like.
"Hurry home will you? I'll be waiting for you...my love..." Her final words, combined with a single tear he could feel landing on his shoulder, triggered a nonstop ocean of tears to erupt from his closed eyes as he felt her being withdraw from the safety of his arms. Overwhelmed and distraught, as anyone would be in his situation, It took several moments for the calm and collected warrior to regain his bearing. For so long, he tad told himself he was strong, that he had conviction he needed to survive, but here he was in his time of weakness. He thought for so long that his conviction was strong, and yet, he had forgotten the source of his strength, love, the undisputed love his soul had for Shizu. While he had never forgotten, how could he? Since his torture and imprisonment, he lingered further and further away from what had made him strong in the first place, forcing himself to change, to be strong for the sake of being strong so that prior events would never happen again, yet he left the most crucial component out, not giving It a second thought. Well not anymore, he refused to become like that, to walk down such a path, which would surely lead to his destruction, or worse, his sanity on this world. Regardless, thanks to that precious remainder he needed, he wasn't giving up now or never, and like hell he was dying here of all places. He was going to survive and return to the love of his life, even if it killed him! With his warrior spirit now revigorated, his crimson red eyes suddenly snapped wide open, revealing the awakening of his heavenly eyes for the very first time.
"THIS ENDS NOW!"
Ignoring the rivers of tears that were running down from his awakened eyes, he shouted at the massive beast with no fear or hesitation in his eyes. With only milliseconds left until impact however, his body moved on it's own, his fabled Mangekyo Sharingan triggering it's soon to be, iconic ability. Almost instantaneously, golden flames arose from the ground, engulfing all the earth within the awakened warrior's immediate vicinity. Immediately afterwards, the ghostly remains of a horrendous , skeletal kami suddenly appeared on top of him, before quickly encasing himself and what could only be described as a undead Kami, in a thick, spectral suit of golden armor with a horned, oni like helmet taking root at the top, no doubt to protect the kami spirit he had summoned forth. From amidst the darkness from within, two pulsing, almost vile like, emerald colored green eyes came to light, emerging from the shadowy depth's of it's ornate, helmet's eye sockets, completing it's terrifying form as a great, golden shield materialized in it's left arm while flames erupted and seeped from it's spectral body, thus giving birth to the Tamashi Clan's ultimate weapon...
The Susanoo...
Ignoring the extraordinary feat he had just managed to pull off, something few, If any of his bloodline ever managed to pull off, his body and mind continued to move on without with his input, moving in complete conjunction with the massive kami spirit that now encased his body from bodily harm. With a horrifying roar, as If the Susanoo itself was alive, sentient even, immediately rose it's great, golden shield to meet the tailed beast bomb that was made to make contact. With literally no time left, the massive, vile ball of energy collided with the Susanoo's shield, triggering a massive explosion to go off, causing untold amount of debris to be thrown in all direction for several moments, all the while kicking snow and dust into the air, clouding the vision of all who were participating in the titanic battle that was unfolding. When the shroud of seemingly, white dust finally vanished, the horrifying suit of spectral armor was still standing, clearly for the next act to begin, and so was he. He stared down the massive beast with spine chilling eyes, determined to tear it's very soul of it's body, but he wasn't done, not by a longshot, and he knew exactly what to do next, consequences be dammed...
