Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Some time had passed since Tasogare's father had roamed these halls. Well, maybe not these halls exactly. Tas wasn't sure of this building's history, but he was very aware of how easily things could crumble. It was a lot harder to rebuild and Faita Tasogare was a prime example of this. The grandfather, not the young handsome one that isn't a wolf. Speaking of, that's the point I'm trying to make. He worked hard and fought for his right to persevere after all the hard times. Each time he was knocked down he would rebuild, but before he could finish he would be knocked down again and have to start over. In what may be his final days, grandfather Tas lives as a dog. Physically and mentally he's been broken and there doesn't seem to be any sign of a return. So now Tas, the young and handsome one, walks the halls of the Toraono where once my grandfather learned from Toraono Kuro himself.

It was pathetic, right? The young Jounin couldn't walk the same path that his grandfather did. He would complete his mission to return his mother from the grave. In the meantime, he approached the dojo where there were men and women training and sparring, sparring and training. For some reason he was drawn there. For some reason he needed to see the place and then curiosity brought him to the dojo itself. He looked around at the people and didn't notice anyone looking at him. He slunk into the shadows and walked along the outer walls. He saw some children and thought back to when he was young. He was trained by the best teachers Nenogami could find. She always nurtured him, and loved him no matter what he did. There was an itchy feeling in the back Tas' throat that grew more intense as he thought about what he was doing. He knew she wouldn't approve of his plans.

"I must return her." Tas mumbled to himself. He lifted his robe's hood to cover his head and walked out into the actual training ground. It was spacious despite the people already there. He walked slowly across the area and observed the warriors in action. The prodigy mocked them silently as they slipped up or didn't perform well enough. The curse in him saw all these people as weak. It was no wonder that his grandfather failed in life if he was trained by someone that would keep such sloppy company. Tasogare was satisfied and as such he started to head out. It was obvious that he didn't need to worry. He was certain that he would succeed because of his advanced training, but further more he knew that he would succeed in a grand fashion.

As Tas would go about the outside walls, he would come across the training grounds. With the dojo now servicing as an academy for the young shinobi hopefuls, many of the areas within the dojo were converted into classrooms. This open area was still serving its original use and was quite popular with the recent graduates. Even among the group of people that gathered there, he may have noticed someone that he has met before. Standing in the training ground away from the crowd was a familiar little girl wearing a rabbit hand-puppet.

A while ago she separate a peace of her own spirit and placed it into the puppet. Ren was foolish enough to believe that she created some sort of contract animal but that is not the case here. In truth it is not her fault for the misconception as she has forgotten much about herself after becoming a slave. She forgot her name, her mother’s face and her heritage. She forgot how she originally appeared during her childhood. Those red eyes she gets when she transforms were something she inherited from her mother. Both Ren and her mother were Uchiha, but those slavers did something to Ren. They used some sort of dark forbidden arts to completely suppress her Uchiha abilities. However now that she is no longer under their control, whatever they did to her was weakening and her powers were awakening in usual ways.

It seems that Ren made Usagi into a storage container that held her former identity. Though that was not Usagi’s only purpose. Ren slaps a hand onto the ground and with a large cloud of smoke Usagi was no longer the little puppet he was before. This Is Usagi’s true form and was now an immense rabbit. She was incredibly huge: Standing taller than most buildings on all four and comparable to The Bulwark Gate standing up right. Ren could be seen riding Usagi side on the back of Usagi’s neck. One could say that Usagi was a living manifestation of Ren’s ultimate jutsu: Susanoo.

Usagi gives a deafening roar and those genin that did not already left the training ground at the appearance of this beast, were fleeing in fear of it. Usagi lift up it on paw into the air and attacks a whole row of training dummies. Usagi did more than take them out, she uprooted them and made a large indentation where they once stood. Sand and debris went fling towards the dojo. The sand makes quite a cloud as it hits the outside wall.

As he paces the weaker beings practicing their mockery of skill, Tasogare spots a face that halts any ideas of exiting quite yet. It was the young one known as Ren. It had been some time since he met her, and he hadn't seen her in that time. She was a curious thing to her, particularly the puppet she held on her hand. Tas had lost his connection to the spirit world when he took Ugo's soul, but he remembered the sight of seeing it for the first time. It was… odd. The girl had an odd relationship with the puppet as well. Tas thought back to when she attacked his zombie because it had taken the thing from her. He snickered.

He watched her for a moment out of a personal interest. Perhaps she would give more of a show, at the very least. Then she came through, slapping her hand on the ground and out popped a giant rabbit. Tas grinned from ear to ear to see such a sight. Tas was found of his own creations, but none of them were a giant rabbit. Tas was beside himself, then he spotted the young girl riding the rabbit on it's neck. That's when he noticed the puppet was gone. She had turned the puppet into this thing.

"Aha! Amazing!" Tas shouted. "Now pull a hat out of it!" This was a legitimate request, but she may not have been able to hear it over the creature's roar. The beast rose up and Tas got his hopes up that it was reaching for a hat. He was still impressed, though slightly less so, when it swept up a row of training dummies. A cloud of sand rushed by Tas as he moved closer to the duo. As he emerged from the cloud several hands would be seen covering his face, then retracting into his hood and lowering it as they did. Tas used his right hand to tussle his hair a bit and then looked to the girl.

"Hey! Remember me?" He shouted at her, waving both of his arms at her. He looked up at her with different eyes than the ones she had seen before. Not just because of the experiences that have left him a shell of his former self, but because he now had a red and a black colored eye. The once vibrant green shine that once adorned the black eye's iris was snuffed out when the curse took over his chakra system. He was cleansed of his spiritual connection and his eyes which once reminded him of his mother.

"I was the guy that said 'pull a hat out of it'. Did you hear?" He looked almost as if he were a school boy watching some short of magic show. Truth was that he felt that way inside. He was brought out of his dark thoughts by this one act. Tas loved surprises. At least, he had started to love surprises once his sanity slowly began to diminish and stopped acting like there was a stick up his bum. Though he hadn't thought much about how the shy girl would react to seeing him, or if she would even remember the encounter. He just really wanted her to pull a hat out of her rabbit.
