Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Current Ninpocho Chronicles Time:

Stretching out the arms above him as he took another lap around the place. "It sure is nice here... I can see why they call it a tourist trap... The sun isn't as scorching out here as it is in the desert. Reminds me... I need to grab new sunshades." He would look around a bit before sitting on a wall watching the water. "nice and quiet..." He muttered along before he got bored sitting there for a solid while. "Too quiet." He missed having something to do, actually to do. To be something of use. While he was around the place to learn more about the lands, the people, and everything, he still was here also to overcome his difficulties meaning that he was blind.

"I do wonder... what else is there to do around here..?" Shion had a habit to speak his thoughts out loud, mainly so he could see what was around him. This obviosly already had brought some people staring to him, making comments about him. Yet none of that had ever bothered him

Kureji had started his walk around the Sora region. He knew it wouldn't be smart to show his original face so close to Sand, even if he was lucky to not get caught by anyone. Today, he had chosen to don his Soratu puppet guise as he was walking around. He was comfortable here, at ease. Even though he is a criminal now, even though he has no knowledge of if this place now harbors a hate towards him, he does know how to be careful.

Though, it seems to him, that there is some unrest throughout Sora as of right now. Now, usually, Kureji would like to stay in character of which puppet has which personality, but the things he has caught with his eyes, made him take notice. Some sorta guy talking to himself, and people watching him. Almost makes the puppet think that they might do something rash and make matters worse.

He knew of a way to get some heat off of the guy, but it will only help if he plays along. He lightly pushed past some people and exclaimed loudly, "HEY! Roxas! How ya been buddy!" He put an arm around the fedora wearing individual before whispering in a hushed tone that only he would be able to hear, "Ya stick out like a zit on a face. Chillax and follow me." He pulled away and then said, "I'll meet you over at that coffee shop a few blocks down that way and we can catch up."

The sense of familiarity that Kureji could carry to ease the minds of the citizens here, to help this mysterious individual made him have to play out this puppet differently, only at this Country. It'd be doubtful that he would see anyone here over at any other country. The lot of the people here, with only a few exceptions, are boring. Kureji would not wait for the fedora wearing person to follow him or not, that would be their decision. But he would continue to walk, taking different alleyways and other roads to shake off anyone that would not be the fedora guy, until eventually he came to a TEA shop instead. He chuckled to himself thinking of the amount of people ready to mob a person, only to find out that they are not even there. Sitting down, he would wait for Mr. Fedora.

Across the way from the tea shop, literally across the street, stood another shop of drinks. Though this one served more adult drinks and not the sissy tea kind those other two were headed. No, this was where the party was at, so to speak. "Ah ha ha ha, Kyuji you're such a lightweight these days!" A loud and boisterous jest from an equally loud and large man could be easily seen standing over a table with a large drink in hand, his face clearly showing signs of inebriation. Kaen never used to be such a lush, but things change with age, not unlike a fine aged drink. He probably shouldn't have been out drinking, but hell it was soon to be the beginning of Sunagakure's Sennin Games. He grew bored and needed excitement to cull his hunger, so to speak. "Another round for everyone!" Again the large man belted out, offering anyone a free drink. Being an ex-Anbu Captain, and still in the service of their Hokage, Kaen was a wealthy man, a Lord even. What a time to be alive ~

It had been a long day for Teke, finally having rested after a week of lounging around she'd made a point to visit the academy. This was mainly to sort out the types of paperwork most normal people wouldn't even think about but when a person has been missing or presumed dead for four years there tends to be a lot of questions. Six hours the blonde had endured in that tiny cramped office, sign this, explain that, she was glad she never had the desire to be the office working kind. Now after a long, stressful day of being all cooped up in a box-like room, what would people tend to do? That's right! Go and drink their anguish away and Teke intended to do just that.

Everything was going great, perfect in fact, she'd found a nice looking place, plonked herself down at the bar and ordered a bottle of cheap red wine. The drinks in the casino had been nice but it all felt rather bougie, totally not her style and she wanted to drink something that made everything from her mouth to her stomach burn a little and she'd managed just that, drinking straight from the bottle like some sort of lush.

Then in walked one of the people she hadn't planned on seeing, not just yet anyway. She hadn't quite processed in her own head what she would or could even say to the people who probably worried about her sudden disappearance and was planning out a whole speech, eventually. Quickly, almost on reflex, she performed a transformation jutsu on herself to try and stay hidden, with how hastily she did it, it didn't alter all too much, changing her hair to a bright blue, her eyes to emerald green, and giving her a false left arm to cover the lack on one she currently has. This seemed to work as Kaen went about his day, getting ever more boisterous as time and alcohol enveloped him.

Teke stuck around out of morbid curiosity more than anything, watching her old teacher lord around the establishment joyfully, a side she'd not previously seen of him back then, but again, time changes people a lot, herself included. At least now that he was drunk, her paper-thin disguise might actually fool him long enough, well, if she kept her mouth shut of course...

"Aye! Free drinks! You heard the man!" She cheered, her inebriation getting the better of her. "Another bottle of red!"

She announced to the barkeep as she lifted her first bottle up and guzzled down the last quarter of the bottle with a loud gasp of air at the end. She slammed down the bottle and grinned over at the bearded red head.

"Where was all this generosity back in the day, huh?!" She teased. "We coulda gone drinkin' a bunch!"

Teke hadn't even noticed what she was saying as she wobbled back and forth on the bar stool, grabbing the fresh bottle as it was placed before her with a nod, taking another big swig. This was going to get noisy, and messy. Maybe Kaen was drunk enough not to connect any dots, but this strange girl was being awfully familiar with him, maybe it was the offer of free booze?

He got an arm around him, which caught him slightly off-guard. ' Roxas..? He thought to himself before the 1+1 connected to his head. ' Ahh.. He just gave me a random name, might as well just play this along.' "Ah-! there you are! You kept me damn waiting!" He spoke back towards the man. He would follow him down the road where one thing did let to another. A man got away from a shop across the street and started to speak rather loudly. Loud enough that everything echo'ed well that he saw the street for a moment. ' Kyuji huh... Quite a name...' He would eye from one to the other. Seeing how they got way back.

As soon as a new round was ordered for everyone, a rather awkward grimace got to his face. Another person popped out and it seemed they were all connected. In his mind he went back to that one lady in leaf. She was a real lightweight and even he could outrdrink her twice... maybe three times. but with these... he wasn't sure and he didn't want to bumbsmack himself fully gone. While he did got a round in his head, a good solid beer he would lean a little in. " Thanks for the beer, what do I owe ya for it? Feels bad to just take it while i don't even know the name. Roxas is mine." he would just stick to the random name he had been given by the oddone before.

As the puppet neared his destination, he would hear the loud boisterous laughs coming from the bar across the street. Looking over, it had seemed that his new companion was already gotten distracted with what was going on at the bar. So he figured, eh, why not?

Walking in, he had heard one of the patrons offer everyone another round of drinks. Kureji smirked. He was glad to think of altering all of his puppets to store liquid and foods to further make him fit in with the crowd if necessary. It had all started with that Obi Wan Shinobi who gave him a banana to eat prior to be let into Leaf. Though he has added this new attachment to all of his puppets, he took into consideration that he won't be able to 'ingest' a whole lot.

He chose to sit down beside the one he had given the alias 'Roxas' and listened as he had asked for a name. The puppet had ordered the local beer and made sure to drink it as if he has to keep a clear head for the rest of the day. After 'Roxas' had asked for a name, Kureji then said, "True dat! You can call me Soratu. By the by. What's the occasion to be buying everyone a drink, eh? Are we looking at some lucky dude getting married off to some dashingly good looking dane?"

"Where was all this generosity back in the day, huh?!" She teased her long time friend and partner. Once a young apprentice, now a badass warrior woman whom everyone would be wise to not underestimate. "We coulda gone drinkin' a bunch!" Rosy cheeks adorned a wide-smile face, the alcohol finally doing something for him. "Ah, you know how I was. I was a fucking ass-hat back then. Too stubborn for my own good and anyone else around me. Hell, I'm surprised you turned out as amazing as you did with me as your... well you know." Though he was no longer Anbu Captain he still needed to keep the anonymity going for both he and her.

"Thanks for the beer, what do I owe ya for it? Feels bad to just take it while i don't even know the name. Roxas is mine." Instantly noticing the grimace on his face, Kaen matched with his own. "Why the long face, eh? Today's a great day, the Sennin games are set in motion, I'll soon become Sunagakure's newest Sennin. What more do you need to celebrate than just the company of friends anyways!?" A heavy hand found itself on Teke's shoulder and pulled her in close for a sideways hug. "The name's Kaen, Shinku Kaen by the way." Putting out a massive paw of a hand he intended on shaking hands with one or both of the other people he had never met prior to this occasion. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, Roxas, Soratu." Suddenly a song came on, sweet tunes flowing from the nearby jukebox.

"Oh no, I can't not. Come on, let's dance Teke! You two should too, come on!" For lack of actual dance experience I'm just gonna say Kaen is going to dance just like the panda dude in the music video. Downing his fresh drink in one fell swoop he threw the glass down on the ground. "Huzzah!" Yep, he was pretty buzzed. He was in an unusually good mood and was more lax than normal. What would the coming hours bring for this band of adventurers?

"Sennin.. games..? Sorry, afraid to say that I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you fill me in?" He asked the big man before taking a big sip from his beverage and looking back to the blonde and the man. "Kaen.? Nice to mee tyou." He smiled big and would hold out a hand for a greeting. But it would be interrupted by the tunes of the music. "heh..?" He questioned and started to look towards Kaen who suddenly started to speak. 'So... that man will become a sennin..? Maybe... I could use that information someday..' he thought towards himself as he glanced around the place.

The moment the guy asked him to dance... He kind of stood there really awkwardly. Trying to make eye contact with 'Soratu' For the first time in his life... he actually wondered how to dance. At a young age, he had learned how to hunt for food, how to steal money, not to mention how to survive while being mute... And now this. He swallowed thickly before opening his mouth to reply. "Y-you really do not want to see me dance. Really..." He said as an excuse and tried to take a sidestep a little; not enough to move away but enough to not get pulled in to actually dance.

"Stupid question.. earlier you said did with me as your.. Was she your student or are you her father?" He asked bluntly as one could never ever know. At this he looked towards the blonde one for a word.. and back to the back male while brinding his beer.

"Ohh! Sennin Games? So how are you going to become a Sennin? You going to wrestle a sand wyrm and put it in its place?" He joked, he was actually a little bit interested. But to know what Kaen might be going into on these Games, might help him gauge who exactly he was and how strong and competent he is. He had also reached out his hand to shake the future Sennin to be's hand, but the jukebox had other ideas in mind.

In an instant, Kaen was up and dancing. It really made the puppet wonder if the man would throw up from moving around too much with alcohol in his system. But he shrugged. Why not? He walked over to a pretty girl and had asked to dance with her. She happily obliged. As they danced, Kureji could feel a pair of dagger like eyes piercing at the back of his head. Turning around, he was met with a fist to his face. "HEY! What are you doing with my girl?!"

It was some big guy whose arms were full of tattoos. Kureji shook his head as if it actually did something to him, and straightened up before saying, "I'm sorry Mr. No Name, didn't think that girls were objects of possession. But, I'll be the better dude." With that, he would take his leave. Yes, he was a bad guy. But there was a time and place for such things, and right there was neither the time nor the place.

As soon as he left, a couple of the other patrons looked at the guy that had clocked the one they all knew as 'Soratu', eyeing him as if judging him. The man stood awkwardly there before he also had taken his leave.

Taking a deep breath and exhaling with much exaggeration, he insinuated that the dance had taken it out of him. But in reality it had not, perhaps it was just the alcohol making him act oddly, or he was just bored and felt like being a drama queen, maybe a little of both. Kaen had so much fun dancing he barely noticed the other guy's potential quarrel nor did he see him leave. He was too hung up on the question asked earlier. "Ah yes, you were asking about the sennin games, yes?" Taking a large swig from his drink he would regale the outsider with the grandest news floating around town at the moment. "Lord Raizo himself announced it a few weeks back, it was a huge spectacle and tons of people showed up for the announcement. I'm not 100% sure about the details, but what I do know is that Sunagakure is going to have a new Sennin soon." That was really the gist of it, having been given no details about the whole event Kaen was kinda in the dark as to what was going to be done exactly. "I imagine there will be a few other tests the Kazekage would have done, but the real thing I'm looking forward to is the tournament. And the best thing is the whole tourney is open to anyone, and I mean anyone!" Perhaps that was not something he should share, it would only mean more would stand in his way towards his ascension to Sennin-ship. Perhaps in the back of his mind he welcomed the additional challenge and this is why he said it, or again, alcohol.

A sly comment made by Kureji left an impression in his mind, sparking up the next conversation that would also reveal more about himself than he should. "Heck, maybe they will have us face off against a sand worm. That would be amazing. I've actually taken on one before, they are basically a natural weakness of mind considering how sturdy they are against fire, which is my specialty." Kaen would flex while simultaneously releasing a bit of his Flame Court Aura. A few patrons would notice and grimace, apparently they knew what an Ancient was and were not fans. But this was nothing new for the Hybrid, he was used to the hate, in fact he welcomed it. It would just make it all that more satisfying when he wins the Sennin games. What then will they have to say when a Hybrid is leading them? HA! Kaen was confident if nothing else, his persona showed this clearly.

It seemed like their newfound friend... almost got himself in trouble, the only reason Shion was able to know was that he viewed the world differently, but it seemed like it was done on a specific way to get out of the place. 'I guess it suits him..' He thought to himself as he started to scratch behind his head and noticed the big man started to speak to him. "Ha- Yes, that was me." He played it off like he never thought he would be taken seriously.

"Lord Raizo..? Sorry, I am not from around here. So names and all are unfamiliar with me." he pardoned for the fact he never knew what they were like. "Ha- Lord Raizo is the Kazekage!? What is this man like Mister Kaen?" he was baffled, he casually said the name before without even knowing who he was speaking off. His mouth dropped a little but he was actually absorbing the information right now. "I admire that he left it open for everyone, but I will never be able to partake..." he said and would reassure that he was no threat to Kaen in any way. Even if he was itching for it, he had his own schemes to play. ' Besides... I don't think this guy even noticed I am blind yet..' Do I play it off as I can still see? Awesome, that means I can play dumb a bit better than before!

"Sand... worm..? Have I just been really lucky to not encounter them..? They sound small tho. Like the little rainworms from Konoha?"
He questioned and noticed the aura that glowed off. "Wow... that felt really warm." He noticed up since he couldn't really see it. But he was in fact really intrigued. "Mister kaen... Would you mind telling me..? What you just did? I am really curious, I never ever seen anything like that. How come Fire is your specialty, wait... does that mean a big strong man as yourself has weaknesses? No right? but you are standing here so mighty!"

"Lord Raizo? Hmm, the Kazekage, in my opinion is something akin to a warrior trapped in the body of a politician. He must abide by the status quo, but in his heart he yearns for adventure and challenge. In a way I admire this about him most. A warrior kinship can be as close as brothers, in a sense." The Hybrid rambled on a bit as he scratched his chin in a ' I'm thinking hard ' manner. Shion's thoughts were correct, the large man did not notice they were blind. He was inebriated after all, so much so he would say just about anything...

"Oh no, our Sand Worms are as big as, well...." He wasn't quite sure how to explain it, just how large these things were. Then he had an idea, his eyes widening in response. "Here!" He planted his large mug on the table next to him. "Imagine I'm the mug, ok? Now imagine the me you see right here, is the Sand Worm. Let's just say you would never ever forget an encounter with one of those sons a bitches..." A glimmer sparkled in Kaen's eyes as he thought about his encounter with the king of sand worms. How glorious it was.

A large smile came across his face as Shion questioned Kaen about his aura, or heritage. This guy sure asked a lot of questions, but that was perfectly fine in this situation. Kaen was an open book, it was just in his 'nature' after all. "Well just like the law of the elements, fire ninjutsu is always weak against water ninjutsu. That's just the way of things. But as for my aura, that warmth you felt, is my very essence leaking out into the world around me. You see, I am a Hybrid, a monster of sorts in folk lore around these parts. The Ancients were a, well... ancient race that existed before humans. I am an amalgamation, my dna, or heritage belongs to the Flame Court of Ancients. There are multiple Courts, or types of Ancients, but you can think of it as like different races or sub-species I guess." Kaen was no scholar, and in truth knew very little about his ancestors. Only the small amount he's read in the books allowed to the public, and what he learned from Mother Suna, Shiori, Lord of the Earth Court, Queen of Ancients in his mind.

"Oh, before I forget. What do you mean you can't partake in our Sennin games. The Kazekage himself said it was open to anyone. Why not challenge yourself. Hey, we might even get to go head to head ha ha ha." The thought of battle excited Kaen, another aspect to his 'nature'. He welcomed the idea of adding to the list of people that might stand between him and winning the Sennin Games."If that happens you'll get to see the real power of an Ancient in battle, I promise you won't be disappointed ha ha ha!" A low, hearty laugh bellowed out from the large man. You might say Kaen was excited about the Games.

Hearing about what the man was, Shion couldn't help but to be amazed. " Woaw... Sucks to be him." he mentioned and listened to the story of the sandworm. " W-what?! Really? No... I am... just really lucky I haven't seen them in my travels I guess." He really felt like he was really lucky.

Shion was asking a lot, but he was trying to get as much information as possible. " Woaw... I never knew that even existed." Shion spoke with joy in his voice. " So I guess there are people around that roamed the worlds longer then everyone even knows. Must be amazing and sad at the same time." The last bit was him speaking his thoughts out loud before he would be turning back his gaze upwards. " I cannot partake since I lost my sight. I am unable to see. Well... I can see a little." He smiled a little soft as he said. " I can basically see shades and vague objects..." And that was a lie, he was able to see a lot more than that. But it was often better to leave people in the dark. " For an example I can see that you are standing there, something darker-ish on top..? But... I am afraid that is kind of all. I cannot even see colors anymore." That... wasn't a lie, the world was for him in black and white, but he could see everything as long as there was sound.

"Sorry to disappoint you; I used to be quite the fighter in the past when I was younger. I lost my sight only recently so I haven't still really adjusted. Is there something else awesome you could show me or tell me how things were? I love to hear stories and learn to know more."

"I cannot partake since I lost my sight. I am unable to see. Well... I can see a little." He smiled softly before continuing. "I can basically see shades and vague objects..." Kaen was too drunk to see the lie, so he took it for fact. "For an example I can see that you are standing there, something darker-ish on top..? But... I am afraid that is kind of all. I cannot even see colors anymore." How sad it must be to lose a sense like your sight. Kaen might have gone crazy if it had happened to him. Respecting the situation Shion was in he would give his regards; "I'm truly sorry you've been cursed in such a way. I do not envy you, but I can respect that you've overcome your disability to such a degree." Shion would continue; "Sorry to disappoint you; I used to be quite the fighter in the past when I was younger. I lost my sight only recently so I haven't still really adjusted. Is there something else awesome you could show me or tell me how things were? I love to hear stories and learn to know more."

Kaen would scratch his head for a second as he tried to think of what else he could tell Shion about himself or this village. "Well, I used to be the Captain of our Anbu corp. But I stepped down after I lost both of my disciples." Kaen's words sounded full of sorrow, this was obviously a sensitive topic for the Hybrid. "Kanmuri is MIA, we thought Teke here was dead, but she came back, thank Mother Suna." Trying to find something, anything else to talk about he thought hard. Unfortunately he was very inebriated, the truth always comes out. "Oh, apparently I blacked out, or lost control and ended up attacking Leaf's gates a while back, so there's that. It seemed awesome to me, but I'm one of those battle-savvy types that just love to spar and find battles to conquer. Wadda think about that eh?" Oopsy, he probably shouldn't have said that. Eh, what harm could it really do? Teke was drunk as hell, the other guy left and this person was just a merc. Not that he knew that, but in a way he really didn't care either way. Everyone over in leaf knew it was him, the news had probably spread to cloud by now considering their so-called alliance. If hell came knocking he would be quick to answer, or would he? He wasn't sure right now, the alcohol was calling. Taking a deep swig he would ask Shion a question. "What about you, got any secrets to share, any badass stories to tell? I love a good fight story myself."

Hearing how the other was so sorry for him, he couldn't help but say sorry in his mind. It was part truth part lie mixed with each other. Making it seem bad but not the worst. When he asked the other for more stories, he was hoping he took the bait. And seems he caught himself a fish with his story.
' Hold-up. This guy is so drunk that he just told me his past rank. Is this man... What am I thinking, yes this man is drunk.' He would have facepalmed if not for his earlier story and just nodded with a slightly worried face. "Both... That.. must be hard." He was leaning forward and tried to pat him on the shoulder for support.

"Glad to see you have her back though," He said with a warmer voice and would wave to Take, or rather, wave in a random direction to uphold I cannot see well. "Mia... that meant Missing in Action right?" He would tilt his head and sound worried with that. "H-a... Blacked... out.. Bruh.." He was a bit taken aback by it and just shook his head. "what... You... attacked one and damn... But being such an amazing man as yourself... There surely wouldn't be much left of a place or people. Not to think... You said you were strong in fire, and I believe hidden in the leaf has a ton of trees." He would think further as things could make sense. Hoping the other would fill in the mistakes he made in his thoughts.

"Hmm... Which of the stories would be badass compared to yourself.." He would think before. Saying thoughts out loud for the other to hear. "Maybe the story of where I met A Whisper of the Mist.....and its Demon... But there wasn't any unique fighting... Oh, I know! The bandits.." He would grin and tip his nose. "When I was... I think 13 years? I was sent out on a mission for a simple bandit camp. Unknowing they gave the wrong words and I was sent to a bandit hideout. Two missions had been mixed up and I got a B-rank Mission." He would chuckle at it. "That was when I still had Demonic Acensetory... it was tricky back in the day to fight close combat all the time. As I didn't have the chakra control as I have now." He would laugh.

He told the story about the mistakes he made trying to save a small child, and what genjutsu he had placed on them back in the day. Along with the murders he had done in the bandit camp. How he eventually found the TNT storage and made the whole place go kaboom... and how he spent a week in the hospital for all his wounds. He told with a lot of flair, and this story was true, the feelings he had with that story were true... Which helped to tell the story so alive.

"Ah, see, you're quite the badass yourself. Don't sell yourself short, ya know?" Shaking his head from the stupor the alcohol had sent him into he rubbed his eyes with a clenched fist. "Well it's been real, it's been fun, but most of all it's been real fun. I should probably stop drinking and partying and sober up at home." It was true, Kaen had drunk himself stupid, a difficult feat to achieve for someone of his stature and metabolism. It would probably take the rest of the day to recuperate from this debacle. "What did you say your name was again?" Might as well get his new friend's name before he departed, never know when their destinies would cross paths once more. "Mine's Kaen, Shinku Kaen. Your occasionally friendly neighborhood Ancient. Tell your friends, anyone looking for a good spar, send them my way eh?" And with that he would shake Shion's hand and be on his way. What an interesting day this turned out to be. Hopefully him revealing some of that information won't come back and bite him in the ass. Only time would tell.

The stories he had told, weren't all false. They were majorly real and honest, but seeing as how the other started to rub his eyes. He would chuckle on the inside. 'Guess growing old does have it's own habits or the likes; for him, it seems like the booze is getting to him.' He thought and would turn his head towards the man before he heard him out. "Guess you really did go all out then?" he asked but already knew the answer was yes. "My name is Roxas," he said and would hold out his hand, shaking the other's hand. "I may know someone who loves to spar, will tell him of your adventures!" He commented happily before taking up another mug to talk with others.

In his mind, he already was storing all of the information Kaen had told him. Oddly enough... he had gotten not 1 but 3 shinobi names... All with ranks. Yet one of those three was still missing, or so they all thought. One other had been celebrating here along with them... This surely was an interesting time. 'I soon need to get home... The casino and the family cannot stay too long without me.' he thought after the drink he shared with others. Yet none of the information he gained after Kaen left.. was so valuable. He knew also, that he had to be careful with what he had been told. For Kaen, indeed time would tell as to what Shion would do with all this.
