Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Over the weeks it could be said that the young Jenosaido Bruinetto had been "slacking" when it comes to keeping up with his shinobi training. While he already felt more than comfortable and familiar with a large portion of his techniques he had been almost avoiding actual physical training. Spending all those long hours in his work shop tinkering away in the night with various concepts attempting to bring his imagination to life. Even more so than that spending time dedicated to developing his chakra control and keeping on point with his illusionary prowess. Once it occurred to him however that he was starting to lose muscle tone due to a more sedentary life style he made a note to himself upon the need to get back into the swing of things. What better way to do that then with a spar with another shinobi of the village? While training in a solitary fashion to increase ones strength was one thing he found it much more efficient to do battle with another. It allows you to see what skills of yours are still on par with how you remember them and what you need to work on in the future. Alongside of that an opponent may be able to reveal critical clues about your own weaknesses and bring light things you were not so sure of about yourself.

Entering the premises he was dressed rather plainly. Wearing mainly all black old and tattered training clothes that wouldn't matter if they got tore up in the heat of battle. Looking around there seemed to be many other people training and tending to themselves. Carefully analyzing all of those he could spot there were none of them that gave a rise to his interest. If he were to fight he would at the very least need an interesting opponent but above all else they at least had to be as strong as he was. Otherwise what was the point in training if there wasn't a little adversity involved? In the meantime he would look to see several training dummies had been set up for long range training. "I guess some warm ups would do me some good. Gotta measure up my aiming." It was part of his ritual in training to try to avoid using his Sharingan. He needed to be strong and capable without his sharingan and not rely on it too much. There were many tales in their family line of relying too heavily on eye prowess. Bruinetto wanted to avoid this as much as possible and be strong on his own merits not just because of his Sharingan.

Kagai was feeling rather anxious this day. The drumming had returned, and that was never a good sign. It was a constant, and ceaseless rhythm inside his head. Four beats in a quick rhythm..'Da da da-da', over and over. Whenever the drumming came, Kagai seemed to become a different person and the only thing that could stop it was battle. It had been like this ever since that fateful night in maelstrom when he first came across the brilliance that was Lord Kojin's light.

He needed to get this out of his system, and he needed to do it quick before it escalated like it did back at the bar when he fought Roku. That didn't end very well and there was a lot of collateral damage...."Of course, the Toroano Dojo..." Kagai thought, as the beat within his head just kept tapping along, like the beating of a war drum. He had on some plain clothes this day, just a regular black wife-beater shirt with some jeans and his sandals. The Toroano's were renowned within Suna as being one of the strongest families, especially when it came to battle, so hopefully there would be someone like that around.

As he walked into the dojo, he seen there was indeed someone there. He looked oddly familiar, but he couldn't place the face right away. The drumming was clouding his mind and all he could manage to do was point at the man..."YOU!" He would call out in a loud shout...."FIGHT ME NOW!" He would add as he then ran towards him with all the speed he could muster in such a short time, drawing back his arm and going in for a punch to kick-start this brawl.

Standing there in the room he continued on practicing his accuracy. Looking at the current target he was utilizing it looked more like a pin cushion than an actual target. There were many clusters of needles which were clustered together in specific key areas on it. It showing that not only was he capable of aiming at specific points on a person but his precision was just about on the same caliber. While he was in the midst of throwing his final set of projectiles for his warm-up set there was a voice that called out to him. This voice seemed familiar to him, and he just wasn't sure what about it that made it so familiar. Holding onto but one projectile left in his hand his head turned to the challenger who was approaching him. Immediately when his eyes focused upon this man he knew why the voice was familiar. A name was not coming to mind but his memory was impeccable and remembered encountering this ruffian sometime long ago. A late night on the town when he came barging in ruining a date that had some potential. "I wasn't able to fight that guy out in public. However, this would be a perfect chance to settle some unfinished business..."

A smirk came to his face as this man approached him quickly. His step had a strange rhythm as the gap between them continued to close. The sound of his steps matching this rhythm seemed to echo through the room and sounded like that of drums of war. If anything he had an interesting aura of battle about him that burned brightly in the heat of the moment. "He should be more than strong enough to provide a challenge." Gripping his projectile he altered his grip in such a way that he was holding the needle much like you would a knife. As that punch came flying towards him he would attempt to intercept this punch by stabbing forward with this projectile attempting to let their fists clash as the needle to pierce into the defensively held weapon. Bruinetto was currently wearing a pair of black leather gloves to help alleviate the chance of being cut while holding onto his projectiles. Even if his opponent proves to be a physical powerhouse there will be less chance of his own weapon doing damage to him. "How rude, you could have at least said please." He sarcastically replied as their attacks were about to meet.

He was now beyond the scope of reasonable thought and didn't even bother to notice that his newly acquired opponent was holding some type of needle within his hand. He just kept trucking and pushing his fist down into his opponents fist. The pain of the needle penetrating his flesh went unnoticed for the most part, as he followed up his initial attack with a sweeping kick to his opponents legs to try and knock him off balance. Should that prove to be successful, Kagai would follow that up by kicking his leg up as high as he could, and bring it back down with as much force as he could muster.

The drumming seemed to be dying down a bit because of the fight that had started, meaning that whatever this was was being appeased, but when it had cleared up enough to allow Kagai to think rationally once more, he noticed why he had thought this man looked familiar before. He was that bastard he ran into in village that was attempting to seduce his sister, the smart-ass blasphemer whom ran away from the fight all those months ago. Now it was not just the drumming that was egging Kagai on in this battle, it was to settle the little dispute they had all that time ago, and he was going to enjoy every moment of this...."I remember you....You bloody heathen..." Kagai would say, his voice a bit harsh and rough.

While his opponent carried on with his attack there was no adjustment to the attacking pattern. Was his so brazen that he was willing to go with an attack despite the fact that it was going to hurt him? Or was he so oblivious to the obvious details that he was going to do what he wanted to do regardless of what the consequences would be. Bruinetto was going to assume the later considering the kind of religious zealot this guy came off as being. Of course he'd be the type of person to dismiss the obvious and ignore facts just so he could continue on to do things the way he wanted. But perhaps he should spend a little less time judging his opponent by his characteristics and still continue to pay attention to the battle itself. The punch from Kagai was slightly muffled in terms of strength due to him smashing his fist against the sharp edge of the needle and it being driven into his skin. As their fists clashed information began to flood Bruinetto's mind. From this strike along he started to notice things about his opponent. His form when it came to unarmed fighting, it was an art that his body knew well and more than likely excelled in it. Along with that he was also quite stronger than him, but it wasn't that hard to be physically stronger than him. His style of fighting wasn't the brawler type after all.

He was barely managing to hold back Kagai's first attack which at the moment lead them to a stale mate but he knew this wouldn't last long. A follow up attack was more than likely after the initial strike. Just where would it be coming from? His blue eyes watching every micro expression and muscle tensing as if everything in his normal vision seemed to be happening so slowly. As the figure started to shift his balance Bruinetto began to anticipate a kick. Gripping onto the end of his senbon he would hop backwards pulling the senbon out from Kagai's hand. In mid-air he would re-adjust his grip on the projectile and prepare it to be thrown. Upon landing he would step forward and follow through with a full arcing motion and a step and release the deadly projectile as fast as he could. Bruinetto was the type to fight at a distance and knowing his opponent was a close ranged fighter he intended to keep this distance. "Oh you remember me? I can't seem to remember you. You kinda look like this girl I met the other night down town. She seemed pretty into me and was laying it on pretty thick with her body language." He said with a smirk watching his projectile zoom across the room.

The drumming was beginning to increase in intensity, though Kagai now didn't mind it. It was almost like a theme for battle now and he would try to enjoy it. He smirked a bit at his opponents remarks before ducking to the left to dodge the incoming needle. Single projectiles aren't that hard to dodge, which is why they are normally thrown in volleys. In any case, Kagai was done with talking for the moment and was just going to enjoy this battle as much as he could.

Kagai's body would seem to erupt into flames as he invoked the use of one of his favorite Jutsu, Immolation Armor. This was quickly followed up with Kagai attempting to place his opponent under the After Image Genjutsu, which would cause him to see the world in a slight delay, which would hopefully aid Kagai with his next attacks before his opponent caught on. He would than kick off from the ground and strike at Bruinetto with a small combo, one punch aimed at the chest, and the next aimed at the stomach, before leaping back out of range and forming a quick set of seals to unleash the Fireball jutsu towards him.

Kagai was taking a bit of a gambit with using Genjutsu. It definitely wasn't his best trait, but he found they proved to be useful from time to time, especially ones like After Image.

For a man who seemed to talk an awful lot during their first meeting it seemed strange for him to all of a sudden simmer down and become quiet. Perhaps those words had struck a nerve and at this point for Kagai there was no reason to speak in this situation. It was a moment where words were not going to matter and the actions that would follow would speak much louder than either of them could yell. A smirk crossed his lips at the idea of this being a battle where they spoke through their actions instead. It was true that speech was silver, but silence was golden.

A strange feeling came into the air as he could feel the heat starting to increase, and shortly after an armor of flame would surround his opponent. Staring at this jutsu he knew exactly what it was. "Immolation armor eh? Fire type users can be troublesome for me. If his prowess in fire type jutsu is superior to mine, he will easily win a battle of ninjutsu." There were more hand seals to follow but there was nothing immediate that happened to notice. A strange feeling started to swell over him as something peculiar started to happen to his vision. To his vision it appeared to him that his opponent had gotten faster to the point where he appeared similar to that of a blurred image. "But when it comes to genjutsu, you are fighting me on my turf!"

Chakra started to surge through his chakra coils as they surged towards his eyes. While his eyes did not entirely convert into a Sharingan a small portion of its power would be able to shine through. The genjutsu that had been placed upon him, was now being reflected onto Kagai. Now capable of seeing Kagai's movements as they would appear normally but it would be hard to react as such close ranged. A blow that was aimed towards his chest he would not be able to evade. Tilting his body he would let the punch hit on an uneven surface as it would start to alter its trajectory. With his left hand he would strike with an open palmed strike against his wrist to fully deflect the rest of the attack making sure it only landed a partial hit. The next hit which was intended to strike his stomach would now be more aimed towards his kidney with how he shifted his body. Reaching to his holster he quickly grabbed onto a kunai he would hold it so its edge would face his opponents incoming hand. Using this defensively he would aim to have his opponent strike the blade instead of him. However this was only precautionary as he would push himself backwards through the air once more in order to clear the distance between the two of them. The result of their scuffle would cause Bruinetto to be disarmed and the lost kunai would fly past his leg cutting lightly into his skin.

Staring from afar his eyes widened slightly as he saw a fireball heading his way. To the vision of Kagai this fireball came and struck him dead on. Leaving an exploding fireball and a wide array of orange flame scattering over that part of the room. Looking at that area though there would be no signs but a slightly faded after image which had been left behind. In the wake of all this confusion Bruinetto had gotten a vantage point on the ceiling. "Pinpoint!" Two projectiles were sent flying at high speeds towards Kagai. They both were aimed at his legs looking to cripple as opposed to doing damage. By slowing down his main method of advancement he could keep him further away and stay on the offensive as opposed to the defensive.

It was remarkable, even to someone that was seasoned like Kagai, how a mere few seconds could feel like an eternity to a shinobi's eye. Kagai felt his attacks had hit, though Bruinetto was able to deflect his blows and alter their course. One thing Kagai didn't count on was his opponents speedy hands. He had managed to bring forth a Kunai from its holster and held it in such a way that Kagai's fist was heading for its blade. He ignored this yet again and plowed his fist into the blade, ignoring again the stinging pain.

The wound upon his hand was large and was bleeding rather profusely, but not for very long. It seemed to stop bleeding within a few seconds, and Kagai was still able to use his hand. It was when he seen his fireball jutsu completely miss its mark on top of feeling the pain of two needles piercing into his legs, when he had just witnessed Bruinetto throwing the projectiles after dodging his fireball, that Kagai realized that somehow he had either used the same Genjutsu on him, or somehow reversed its effects. Whatever the case may be, Kagai made sure to make a mental note to never use Genjutsu upon this guy again. With a quick single-handed seal and the word "Kai!" the Genjutsu would be dispelled and his vision would sync back in to real-time once more. By now, the wound upon his hand had healed, and gripping the two needles that had hit his legs, Kagai would quickly rip them out with a painful grunt. It was going to take a great deal more to cripple the Harbinger of Kojin, especially now.

Kagai would go on the offensive once again, running towards his opponent with an outstretched hand. The flames around his palm would seem to swirl about like a tempest. Kagai was channeling his Wind Chakra and using a technique known as the Pressure Burst. It wasn't meant to cause much physical harm, but to slow down the opponent and perhaps provide an opening for attack. Kagai would leap up towards his opponent and thrust his hand forward, hoping to connect his palm with Bruinetto's chest. The burning from the strike, plus the sudden outburst would allow Kagai a brief window to use yet another jutsu, the Ring of Fire Ninjutsu, which would cause a ring of flames to form up and around Bruinetto.

While it was true that he had managed to deflect some of the earlier attacks of Kagai and managed to offer counters through defensive techniques he did not come out entirely unscathed. Through the touching of the immolation armor with his left hand the heat had seared the leather covering his hand. Some of the leather had gotten so hot that it literally melted off as most of the palm of his hand could now be viewed as a result. The liquid leather had left small burns all over his had. They were mere first degree burns but it would limit the movement of his hand slightly. His hands were by far one of his strongest weapons as it was what facilitated his projectile attacks along with utilizing his jutsu. He would have to be sure to not let his hands get mauled as a result of this fight. This was not a situation where he wished to rely heavy on his ocular techniques but if he were pushed that far he was not against using them. Those techniques were top tier and he would only utilize them on "deserving" opponents.

Kagai was now slightly altering his techniques in order to deal with his ever increasing resourcefulness. The formation of wind began to circulate about his opponents palm while he proceeded to close the gap between them once more. Noticing the wind style technique for a moment he felt he could utilize one of his own fire style techniques to counter. However upon closer inspection this may not have been a sound idea. Fire type techniques can be fed by wind techniques and the presence of a weaker wind jutsu within his palm while surrounded by the immolation armor this surely was going to amplify the power of the attack. A rather craft trick actually, one that he wasn't entirely expecting out of this calibur of opponent. Perhaps just because he was a pamphlet passing religious zealot there was actually a working brain in that thick ignorant skull of his. Just how was he going to deal with this though? Pressing his hands together he started to go off with a few hand seals. While his hand seal speed was impressive he was barely able to finish off the deals just as Kagai got into his personal space.

The pressure palm landing a direct hit against his chest he would be uplifted from the force of the attack as he would be sent flying backwards across the room. As he was flying backwards though a strange effect began to take place. It seemed as if his body was slowing down as a result of some unseen force. All the momentum he had gained from being hit seemingly dispersed as if that force disappeared. Visually all that Kagai could see was the fabric of Bruinetto's clothing being pulled in a weird way. Instead of being pulled away from his body like how gravity usually would act upon it, it was as if it was being pulled towards him. Landing on his feet the ground beneath him seemed to buckle under a strange weight as cracks started to fissure up from his feet briefly. "Your hits are gonna have to hit harder than that if you expect to do real damage to me." His hands reaching to the projectile holsters on both sides would seemingly toss up a volley of projectiles into the air. As they went up into the air it seemed that they simply stopped and floated in mid-air. "But do keep up the valiant efforts. This is started to get intriguing." With no movement from him to give off any signal a portion of these projectiles would be hurled across the room towards Kagai.

It seemed he did take his opponent by surprise with his attack, though he claimed that Kagai would have to hit harder to do any damage. There was some decent distance between the two of them now, and it seemed Bruinetto was using a jutsu that he was quite familiar with, or at least that is what it looked like to him. He had threw up a good number of projectiles in the air and they were hovering, so it could only be one of three things, Magnetism, Gravity or Kinesis. Either way, it wasn't going to be that much of a problem.

An evil smirk would come across Kagai's face as he watched the projectiles coming at him. He had the perfect counter to such a thing, and it would probably use his opponents own methods against him if it worked the way he thought it would. With a few quick handseals, Kagai would stretch both of his arms outwards. Than, in one motion, swing them both forward as hard as he could. Added with his chakra, this would create a disturbance within the air that would spark up two decent sized whirlwinds. Being composed of wind chakra, they had the added effect of slashing up whatever they came across, but this would only be increased as the whirlwinds would intercept the on-coming projectiles on their way to their target, that being Bruinetto.

The dojo they were in was taking quite a beating from everything that was going on. Kagai, taking his mind off the battle for a brief moment, wondered how the Toroano's would react to such a thing should they walk in on his and Bruinetto's fight, or come in later after it was all said and done. This thought didn't last long as he knew that even a moment's distraction could be the difference between winning and losing, and he had no intention on losing this day.

Regardless of the efficiency of his kinesis jutsu it wasn't going to be fast enough to strike the target like he intended. Normally this is where the second volley would have come into play. His opponent here did not opt just to dodge the attack and instead offered a counter instead. Since the start of the battle Bruinetto has continued to watch closely and attempt to gauge Kagai. One of the perks of being a long range fighter was keeping your distance ad being able to put further emphasis on analyze the opponent. Noting the combination of fire and wind type affinities it was quite amusing that the two of them shared these characteristics. Despite how different they were they actually had something in common between them. Bruinetto couldn't wander off too far into his thoughts, otherwise he could find himself on the receiving end of something nasty. The whirlwinds had rendered his projectiles ineffective and the second round would be used in vain. Releasing the technique his body reacted as if the sudden up flow of the winds unsettled him as he took a more defensive posture. His eyes closing due to the upraising of dust and burning embers that had been drawn up from the floor boards due to the results of Kagai's fire jutsu. The two whirlwinds came crashing into his frail form and scored a direct hit against him. As the body began to tumble backwards it flailed around like a rag doll being bullied by the forces ravishing it. The body began to rip apart as if the skin was made of paper when it forcibly would explode outwards. These projectiles appeared to be smoke bombs that when met with physical force would explode with concussive force. The whirling winds losing their form releasing a spiraling current to blast outwards. Whatever remaining projectiles survived the initial blast scatter over the room causing loud noises all around. Individually these small smoke bombs didn't have that much power but when used in larger numbers they proved quite effective.

Using the feint of his body flicker shuriken technique he managed to perform a body switch before being struck by the attack. What happened afterwards was merely intended to be a distraction to draw attention away from his hiding place. Standing upside down on the ceiling he stared down at his opponent while performing a select few hand seals. After the chaos of his substitution technique wore off it would just be a question to Kagai of where Bruinetto had managed to escape too? It had seemed the dispersal of the whirlwind technique acted as a fuel for the raging fires and the scattered embers. A thick plume of smoke was building up quickly as vision would go hazy at first but while it continued to fill the volume of the room this condition would worsen. It wouldn't be long before the room filled with smoke and you couldn't see even an inch in front of your face. You could contest that it rivaled the night of the darkest skies devoid of nearly all light. The sound of coughing could be heard down on the floor several feet in front of Kagai. It roughly sounded like the voice of his opponent as the sound of foot steps fainted could be heard amongst the crackling of embers. "How will you react to what you can't see?"

Kagai would smirk a bit as he closed his eyes, the smoke making them hurt and water up a bit, and would begin to send his chakra out in small pulses from his feet. These pulses would act similar to SONAR, feeding back information on the basic outline of the area, all though the smoke was making it feel as if his lungs were on fire right now. Either they would need to end this quick, or take the matter outside by blowing a hole through one of these walls. Kagai opted for the latter, seeing as he did not wish to end this just yet.

With a few quick handseals, Kagai would mold together his Fire and Wind chakras, thrusting his hands forward in a wave of invisible energy aimed at Bruinetto. The idea was that, if it hit him, he had hoped it would have enough force to send him flying back into and through the wall and outside. If he dodged it, he hoped that just the blast itself would have enough force to do what he wanted to happen regardless, so it was a win-win situation for him as it stood right now.

Watching carefully from up on the ceiling he was awaiting to see how Kagai handled this situation. There was no panicking it seemed but regardless of the strange noises heard before him there was no distracting him. Instead his opponent seemed to have a rough idea of his location and was going for an attack in that general direction. Looking to how his muscles tensed up he anticipated the direction of where this attack would be coming from as he merely released the chakra being used to hold him on the ceiling and let gravity do the rest of the work. "Regardless of whether his eye sight has been taken away he has a general idea of where I am. It cannot be an ocular techique as he really didn't take long to search for me. Must be some sort of chakra sensory ability. So you opt for a new sense when another one fails you? Not a bad strategy, however those senses can be fooled just as easily."

Falling swiftly from the ceiling he brushed his head along a scroll at the side of his belt. This revealed a particular large projectile. It simply looked like a large throwing star but looks could be deceiving. Along the edges of this projectile the blades had not been sharped but instead had been serrated. Making this type of weapon easier to stick into an opponent and causing much more pain when removed later. Concentrating all of his strength into this blow he slung it fiercly through the air towards Kagai. Straightening himself in mid-air by controlling the gravitational pull around him with his Anti-gravity chakra armor he lands softly as he reaches into his shuriken holsters and fluidly releases several projectiles up into the air where they will stick into the ceiling. Prime with chakra they were prepared to strike his opponent at a moments notice as the attack would be delayed for later. "You have a lot of raw power I will give you that. Perhaps with a little more focus your haymaker-esque attacks could be threatening." Looking around the room he would notice that some of the embers were beginning to die down and the smell of smoke was becoming less pronounced. What he was using as an aid to the illusion of smoke was starting to waiver. Soon enough Kagai may start to realize that what was surrounding him was merely all in his head as opposed to being reality.

With a hole blown through the roof of the dojo, Kagai could take in a deep breath and feel the "fresh air" filling his lungs. The odd part about all of this was that it wasn't helping his vision much, and that could only mean one thing...."Verse of Black Darkness.." Kagai thought. While he wasn't very good in the use of Genjutsu, he had heard of it. It was a very clever tactic to use the smoke bombs as a mask to hide his true intentions, but now that Kagai was aware of what was happening to him, he would take measures to fix it.

He did not believe that the simple use of Kai would allow him freedom from this Genjutsu, so he would have to take it a step further. Pain was known to work well against dispelling stronger Genjutsu like this. It seemed he was going to have to invoke the use of a technique that he hadn't used for quite some time, as he never really had the need. Bruinetto had commented on Kagai's raw power, but he truly had no idea. This was Kagai keeping his power under control, to the best of his abilities anyways. By releasing those mental restrictions, Kagai would be given access to his true power.

The drumming within his mind had increased to the point where it was just one, steady beat within his mind, pushing his sanity to its limits until it was released. His eyes would shoot open, and his body would become engulfed in flames. It was a shielding technique that he had developed that utilized nothing but his pure, uncontrolled chakra [Flow of Fire]. The problem behind using it was that it damaged him quite a bit as well, but now that was the least of his concerns. He just wanted to see it all burn now. Turning his gaze over towards Bruinetto, his head would be tilted to the side, and a large smile formed upon his face as his red-orange eyes just seemed to be ablaze. The projectile that had been thrown at him had been knocked away from the sudden outburst of fire.

He had never allowed himself to go this far, but as previously stated, he had no intention on stopping now. It would seem, for a moment, that his body was quickly becoming actual flames. His eyes and mouth remained, but the rest of his body took on the appearance of what seemed to be a fire elemental [Mantle of Fire], and now Kagai would go on the offensive once more. Kicking off of the ground, which had been set ablaze by him just standing there, and his hands went into a quick few seals. With his unstable chakra now circulating through him without hindrance, his jutsu, especially his fire jutsu, would be that much more potent, albeit a lot more dangerous for him to use as well, but again, he did not care. From his lips, there would spew out a golden torrent of flames. This would normally be the Dragon Fire Jutsu, a fire ninjutsu of decent power and strength, but being used by Kagai in his current state, it was a lot larger and powered up to the point of bursting right in Kagai's face as he seemed to be overflowing it with more Chakra than was safely recommended.

It was becoming ever clearer that this opponent before him was incredibly reckless. While being reckless could be frowned upon there was a danger when it came to reckless behavior. As you stare down a calm and calculated opponent you expect them to act in specific ways. The battle itself becomes that of wits attempting to discern the opponents thought pattern and attacking using the nature of this pattern before they do the same against you. However against a reckless opponent they will react in much more unpredictable patterns. The patterns of behavior are still there but further hidden under a layer of mystique that while looking like madness to one but is order to another. While he could analyze the kind of skills and tactics Kagai may be using in the end he was no closer to reading his actions. At this point he wasn't even sure if not attempting to dodge his large projectile attack was part of this reckless behavior or if his genjutsu had sunk in enough to get the drop on him. Regardless of what happened Bruinetto stood back and waited.

Still no words back to counter what was said. It did not even seem that Bruinetto could get a rise out of Kagai and instead he was just lost in the moment of battle. Such passion could surely be admirable however in the context of a shinobi battle it wasn't going to be what would win him this battle. Preparations were being made by his opponent after taking the brunt of his attack. From its initial visual appearance it looked to be a form of chakra armor. Using a coating chakra technique the body had been surrounded by flame. It was essentially the same armor as before but perhaps it was a stronger version? Earlier when he had touched that chakra coating it managed to do some damage to his hands. If it were stronger he'd have to be even more cautious about getting into a close ranged scuffle with this primarily unarmed fighter. What happened next, would start to make things more interesting.

These fueled flames and the transformation that came with it were quite the theatrical spectacle. In the form that it took it certainly was designed by the user itself. It was one of his tools of fear more than likely and to the weak of heart it may certainly lower their morale. This transformation seemed to not phase Bruinetto at all as the assault would begin. While his opponent charged towards him a simple flick of his fingers would summon down the attack he had already primed. Spike like projectiles crashed down from the ceiling into the rampaging Kagai. This definitely was not enough to stop the opponent but it would continue to wear him down. A golden flame shined brightly as it became a torrent of flame heading fast for him. Quick to react his foot would smash against the ground creating a small seal. The seal writing flowed several feet in front of him and would explode into a burst of smoke. As the smoke cleared it revealed a net-like contraption. While you would wonder what good a net would do as the net was hit by the flames a surprise function emerged. At various centers of the knots in this rope those small projectiles used within his substitution skill could be found. This net exploding with a kinetic force would disperse a portion of the attack but the remnants of the attack pressed onward.

Impressed by the power of his ninjutsu he had anticipated his Spread Counter would not hold back the entire attack. All he needed was just a way for to make the ninjutsu weaker and he achieved just that. A sudden shift in the winds began to manifest around him as they picked up drastically as the attack approached him. Attempting to out maneuver the attack some of it would be swayed away by the presence of the flames but it was not enough to avoid being partially hit by the attack. The heat of the flames searing into his black tattered shirt as a surge of pain went through him accompanied by the smell of burning flesh. Had he not been holding back that attack may not have hit. Now that his opponent was growing closer to going all out it was about time that he did the same.

The eyes that Kagai saw him use before would reveal themselves finally. The red hue overpowered his natural eye color as a ring surrounded his pupil with three spiraling commas. Drawing the attention of his eyes he would focus their gaze on Kagai, now granted with the visual prowess and calculated information of his ocular jutsu. “Seems like you proved strong enough to warrant the use of these eyes. You won't want me to go one hundred percent. You better defeat me before that happens.” Reaching to a scroll that is situated on the other side of his belt he quickly swings his arm through the air forcing it unravel open and reveal the kanji characters written on the inside. A large burst of smoke explodes from the scroll revealing a tall and looming figure in the room. This strange creation out of the projectiles stored in that scroll resembled that of a mythological dragon. Bellowing out a powerful roar it took a defense posture almost wrapping itself around Bruinetto facilitating itself as a shield. As time went on the battle continued to grow in scale. Soon enough this battle was going to be bigger than this room.

It almost seemed as if he was at peace in his madness, if that made any sense. It seemed his opponent did love to use his projectiles, and was mustering up some strange methods in how to use them. One method was these strange spike projectiles that were falling down from the ceiling. Almost instinctively, a fiery shield would arise around his body to deflect the projectiles away rather easily.

Despite his opponents best attempts, he was still able to hit him with his overpowered Dragon Fire jutsu. This was made especially apparent when he went down onto the ground and the area where his jutsu had hit him had scorched both shirt and skin. His opponents eyes had also changed, revealing his true nature, that of Uchiha ancestry. With his smirk still plastered upon his face, Kagai would finally speak..."Having fun talking to yourself?" He would say, his tone appearing to be calm and collected despite the obvious madness...."I do not fear any Uchiha. The power behind those eyes is extremely exaggerated, as far as I'm concerned. A ruse developed, much like my current appearance, to try and demoralize your opponent and thus gain an upper-hand. Your boasting and pompous attitude will not work on me, heathen. I fear no man." Kagai would add, watching as his opponent seemed to summon forth a dragon made of the very projectiles he had been making extensive use of in this fight so far.

The battle was now quite unfair, seeing as his opponent had created something like this to obviously aid him in battle. Kagai needed to answer the call, and he knew just what to do. With a few handseals, he would slam his hands down onto the ground. A grand, flaming circle would appear and from out its center would raise a large, horned creature. It was a fire elemental spawned from Kagai's chakra, he believed it resembled those of which wandered within the realm of Lord Kojin. It had large, downward pointing rams horns upon its fiery head, a large row of fanged teeth, and what appeared to be a purely skeletal body that was all ablaze. It would let out a loud roar towards Kagai and his dragon. And now the waiting game would be played.

To his surprise he was amused by what Kagai finally had to offer as a rebuttal. On their last encounter it was he who did most of the talking and now he would make fun of his preaching. “You misunderstand the meaning of my words. While the mystique of the Sharingan invokes superstitious nonsense on its own right there is more to it. It's better to defeat an opponent as quickly as possible before they get the chance to show their true strength. A sound tactic is it not? That is my problem though. I'd rather learn through strife as opposed to a flawless victory.” Speaking of tactics during his lecturing the opponent went through the process of manifesting his own minion. The zealot put on quite a show as the frenzied flames illuminated the room feeding the embers left during the previous scuffles. A quick scan around the room would show this battle was becoming bigger than this room. A hole had been blasted in the ceiling earlier and it was time to make use of that.

Jumping onto the steel dragon he hopped up along its body and leaping off of its head from and leaping out of the room to the roof of the building. This would leave the steel dragon to fend off Kagai and his creation. How much time it would actually last against such a force was questionable. What it could do however was attempt to alter the odds by taking out one of them. Raising up into the air and pulling back its head in a serpentine motion it would slither through the air launching itself in a diagonal towards the creature. In its flight the dragon straightened out taking resemblance to a flying spear. The open mouth of the dragon came to a close and morphed blunt point resembling the end of a hammer. Would it meet with the result of taking out this beast or did the preacher have bigger plans for his manifested beast?

Meanwhile on the roof Bruinetto was not going to waste any time setting up for an eventual pursuit. He knew this opponent wasn't going to let him go so easily. Reaching into his belt pouch he pulled out several blank sealing tags. The sealing tag in each hand attached to a kunai would be tossed in front of him going far past the hole which lead to the roof. Taking another sealing tag he would hop backwards even further from the entry hole and place a tag right in front of him. With these three seals in place he would be prepared for whatever came up to greet him.

Bruinetto would seem to escape out from the hole in the roof Kagai had created earlier, though whether it was an escape or if he was just becoming claustrophobic because of the current setting of the battle would remain to be seen. Kagai was about to run after him when the metallic dragon lunged forward like a spear towards both him and his fiery creation. His creation would roar loudly, spewing out a bit of fire from its mouth as it charged towards the on-coming dragon. The fiery beast would extend its arms in an attempt to counter the beasts attack by pushing back with its own strength and stop it.

Should this prove to be successful, the fiery beast would then slam the dragon down onto the ground and proceed to whale on it with its flaming arms. Kagai, on the other hand, seeing as his creation would stand up against Bruinetto's, would take this chance to run up and out the same hole in the ceiling Bruinetto had, seeing that his opponent had indeed not ran away, only just wanted more space it seemed, which was understandable. The two large creatures that were duking it out back inside the dojo were definitely taking up quite a lot of space..."Don't worry, I know what you meant." Kagai would say with his smirk still big on his face. The roars of their two beasts could be heard now throughout the area, and Kagai just stood there now, controlling the chaos his body currently was in...."Your move, sweetheart." Kagai would say, going over a few scenarios within his mind as the drumming continued to beat at a rapid pace. It was almost as if he needed the drumming to focus on the battle now, or at the very least it was helping him to focus.

It wasn't much of a surprise as while almost time went by the flaming priest burst out from the hole in the ceiling and followed him to the rooftop. Bruinetto could still feel the power his creation down below. While he never expected that technique to come back as viable reinforcements it had much greater odds against that creation alone. If he were to lose connection to the skill it would only be assumed that Kagai's minion would follow. Always plan for the worst outcomes while planning for everything else along the way. Once again Kagai was letting him be the lead. For such a raging beast it was somewhat of a surprise he could show any kind of restraint. Even just standing there long enough to urge him to advance. “I already made my move. I was actually waiting for you to catch up.”

Grabbing at another scroll from his belt pouch he flung it open quickly having the parchment unravel around him as he spun. Being flung from the parchment dozens of projectiles burst out in puffs of smoke launching up through the air. These bursts would start to group together forming two large packs. While in flight the projectiles ignited being coating in flames. While rather plain looking when only using one when grouped together in such a cluster they resembled small meteors. When they come crashing down they would diffuse spreading out and covering a much wider area. Carefully through spinning eyes these events flowed in nearly slow motion. “It may already be too late for you though.”

Meanwhile down below a separate battle was still being waged by powerful beast left to fight their own battle. The hammer end of the steel dragon would be taken entirely by the fiery demon. The force behind the attack was great but it was losing momentum due to the force pushing back against it. While the demon was strong even bracing to catch the attack would cause some damage. Sliding over the floor of the two it was a deadlock between these beasts. Finally losing all speed the demon would take it down to the ground causing the dragon to crash into the floor. As expected the demon would continue with it's results. Smashing against the body of steel body of the dragon it's body seemed to rattle with the continued strikes as it was losing its normal form taking the appearance of, those strange projectiles Bruinetto was using earlier. Exploding with a powerful concussive force the demon would be torn into by this violent eruption. As the results of the explosion began to fade away several of the projectiles that did not explode began to roll towards one another. Falling together into a single pile they conformed together to recreate the dragon. One thing evident from this recreation was it was much smaller than the original, about a third of it's size. After taking damage and using considerable chakra in that stunt it was running on fumes. It awaited to see the results of the attack.

Kagai would take notice of all the projectiles that had now turned into fiery clumps of sharp metal. This technique seemed oddly familiar, and was he joking with adding the fire to them? Kagai was born of this! Once again, as if by instinct, a flaming shield [Flow of Fire] would raise up around him and shield him from the incoming projectiles. Some would fly past him, hitting the clay-tiled roof as a sound of shattering could be heard. The projectiles that had his his shield were deflected and fell harmless to the ground. He could hear the screams of battle below, on top of what sounded like an explosion of some sort.

He sensed that his harbinger had been defeated, but that wasn't that big of a deal, for Kagai no longer needed the beast. A smirk would fall upon his face as he took notice of his opponents shadow, and then formed a few quick seals. From out of his opponents shadow, four figures would silently begin to arise. They resembled the shinobis of old, wearing all black clothing, black face masks, and all of that. They were a jutsu known to most ANBU to allow those whom lurk in the shadows to create friends of the shadows in need be. One of these shadowy figures would quickly reach underneath Bruinetto's arms and lift up, placing the palms of his hands upon the back of Bruinettos head, attempting to lock his arms in place. A second figure would grab his legs and try to prevent him from moving, and the others would stand on either side and send punches directly into Bruinetto's kidneys.

Kagai would then take this time to try out a jutsu he hadn't had the opportunity to test in battle just yet. Without a single handseal, Kagai would open his palm and attempt to control his chakra. The problem with this jutsu was that it required precise chakra control in order to use, and Kagai's chakra wasn't in the most stable of conditions right now, but he did not care. First, what appeared to be a glowing orb would appear within the palm of his hand. From Bruinettos distance he might not of been able to see it, with normal eyes anyways, but within the sphere there seemed to be a spinning vortex. Tightly condensed chakra, added with spinning, and now with the addition of Fire, which caused the orb to become red and the inner vortex to resemble a disk of fire. The vortex would seem to be sucking in smaller bits of debris and smoke into it as the orb just spun within the palm of Kagai's hand. With an even crazier look in his eyes, and with his shadowy minions hopefully keeping Bruinetto in place, Kagai would pull his arm back and thrust the spirally orb of flame towards Bruinetto. Having been overcharged with unstable chakra, the orb was much large and the spherical shape wasn't perfect by any means. In its wake, it tore the clay tiles beneath up and shattered them in the air as it homed in on its target.
