Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"So this is where they teach the others huh?"

Pulling himself onto the wall Kaz perched on it for a moment, pondering who was inside. He hadn't been assigned a team yet, and due to his inexperience in the life the likelihood would be it would be with some of the people finishing their studies here. He jumped into the complex, dark blue eyes seeming to shine with enthusiasm.

"Now where to start? I guess the classrooms..."

He ran over to the Academy and began looking through the empty corridors.

"Hmm, is no one here? Does anyone take their education seriously?"

"More importantly; do you always wander around talking to yourself? Damn, I hope not at least; seems reaaalllyy lonely."
A hand clutching a sake bottle draped roughly round Kasure's shoulders as a tanned academy student stumbled into his back. The new arrival was wrapped in a slightly stained white outer robe that was slipping off one shoulder. He didn't wiegh enough to jolt the genin, but his breath wasn't exactly best appreciated at that sort of range.
"Don' suhppose you know where class is do ya? I lost track of time last night... Drink?" The boy offered. "I'm Kaito by the way!"

For a brief moment Kaz was worried someone had used some kind of poison jutsu, then he realised it was a mixture of cheap sake and perhaps a hint of lime. The fact that the drunken student had managed to sneak up on him almost surprised Kaz as much as his ability to stand up straight.

"Not lonely, more like, errr... I'm Kaz. I don't even know where the classrooms are. I guess somewhere that way?" Kaz gestured further into the structure.

"Are you new to this place then or just very far gone?"

At least it was someone to talk to, until he passed out at least.

Kaito chuckled loudly, slapping Kaz on the back and spilling a bit of sake on his clothes in the process.

"Let's just say I'm not the best student, yeah?" he half bellowed, clearly too tipsy to really control his volume at all. His eyes focused in on Kaz's face and he smirked, almost cruelly. "Atshuly, not seen you around at all; you new? Wanna get in a first spar? I know where the besht place is.." A strange look crept into his eyes, a sort of cold, detached excitement. He began tugging insistently on Kaz's sleeve, trying to lead him round the back of the Academy to the sparring grounds and out of sight of any superiors on the lookout for students playing hookie. Kaito was very familiar with a dozen or so good places to hide out on the grounds; after all outside of the Grand Palais people tended to take a dim view of a thirteen year old lush.

"I dunno, I'm not that good at it, I don't really know that many techniques yet." The change in the boys demeanour was subtle and sudden. The drunk suddenly seemed, a little more, with it and keen at the prospect of a fight. Kaz guessed it would be fine though, that didn't stop his nerves getting to him a little.

"I guess if you know a place, I could use some practice." The genin would follow wherever the student led. At least that way he might get a better idea of the layout of this place.

“Excellent! Follow me!” Kaito cheered, pulling his companion along behind him as he all but charged out the building and around the back of the academy.
'Hmm, he doesn't look so tough.. It'll be finnnee! I'm sure he can't be that bad right?'

Reaching the back of the academy, Kaito headed straight for an area of large rocky outcrops. It had been there as long as Kaito had been attending the academy, he never could tell if it was the result of an over enthusiastic Earth jutsu or an intended design feature. It was however one of his favourite sparring grounds for two reasons; the first is that it was tall and dense enough to easily obscure sight from most of the academy and provide plenty of safekeeping places for his drinks. The other is that if you knew what you were doing it was easy to force an opponent into close quarters and keep them there. He knew there were stories of Akimichi clan members who struggled to even swing a full blow in the rocks.
'Exactly my kind of fight' Kaito mused, as he quickly climbed one of the rocky walls and wedged his bottle in a natural shelf that shielded it from any stray attacks from ground level.

“Ugh, so you want to haav' any terms on th' fight?” he grunted as he dropped back down, trying to shake his head clear of the fuzzy after effect of the sake as the anticipation of a fight built up in him. He bounced lightly on the balls of his feet and smirked as he waited for a signal to go. Kaito's smirk was full of teeth and the shade of the rocks seemed to fall strangely on his face giving it a sinister shark-like aspect.

As soon as they arrived in the 'sparring ground' Kaz began taking in the terrain memorizing as much as possible, to try to minimize the home ground advantage. Apparently knowing your surroundings was one of the most important components in many fights.

"Terms? Hmmmm." Kaz's heart began to race, a mixture of fear and anticipation, the feeling seemed oddly familiar as though his body was used to this preparation, the prelude to an adrenaline rush. Unbeknownst to him a smile began to touch his lips.

"Well I haven't tried to do a pure taijutsu fight, and I guess we should add the caveat that we don't kill or maim each other. You can start when you want." Copying the students stance to an extent he poised himself on the balls of his feet, making his body as limber as possible. Now lets hope I can copy punching as quickly as I copy standing.

“Oooo! Sounds good Kasure, glad to hear you ain't the type to cripple a comrade yeah?” Kaito said, beginning to circle the other boy. It couldn't be much of a circle really, with the battle ground he'd chosen, but it should be enough to start cutting down Kasure's dodging angles. Seeing as it was only a spar after all, Kaito hesitated a couple fractions of a second longer than he would usually to give time for the rush he could see building in his new friend to overcome Kas's reluctance before flicking a quick kick out at the other 'students' leg. He wanted to negate his own height disadvantage as fast as possible by cutting Kasure's movement and he wasn't picky how; either a solid blow to the knee or a dodge leading him to be crowded out by the rockface would keep the initiative in Kaito's favour.

Kaz dodged nimbly back, apparently he was now going to learn about fighting with your back to a wall, literally. He brought his arms up to defend his face and hunched up bringing himself down to the students level. Hmm, he seems to have had a lot more practice at this than me. Maybe I should throw him off his game.
"Wow for a drunkard you can fight pretty well, though it seems to be more like a bar fight than a SERIOUS battle."

"If you think bar fights aren't serious you need to find a better bar Kaz!" Kaito laughed loudly "Maybe I'll take you to one while you're healing up.." Kaito dropped into a crouch, swinging one hand in hammerfist at his friends knee and swinging the other up with a handful of grit at Kasure's face.

As the boys began fighting a grin stretched across Kumomi's face. The young girl was just wandering around the campus of the training facilities when she heard the sound of combat. A swarm of varying insects and spiders started to appear near the arena. As they all began to accumulate together a dark and rich complected girl appeared sitting on a stone off to the side. She sat there in a dark dress and a beautiful black hijab. Her piercing emerald eyes watched as the boys threw punches at each other. A chuckle escaped from her rich plum lips as she brought a gloved hand to cover her mouth. A small wooden spider quickly ran across her face and back under the hijab. Crossing her legs she shifted her hand to shout out to the boys.

"...cute..."

Movement caught the corner of his eye. We have a spectator. As for the fight itself, Kaz was expecting a low blow but not so soon. He turned his body from the sand, raising to his full height as he did so. He lifted his leg to avoid the blow, instinctively using the turn to lash out with his elbow at the students face with sudden speed and ferocity. That might be considered unorthodox.

"Enjoying the view?"

Kaito knew enough about taijutsu to tell when a blow was pulled and Kaz was clearly pulling his, which is why he was even more surprised when he found himself lifted off his feet and spinning away towards the other rockface. Catching himself on all fours just before he slid into the wall, he rocked to his feet clutching his ribs 'Oof! Okay then, might have bitten off more than I can chew here?' he realised, peering up at the boy now suddenly looming over him.

Trying to subtly lean against the wall, he took advantage of the newcomers entrance to rub some feeling back into his shoulder and, trusting his feeling that Kaz probably wouldn't attack him in the back, shot a grin up at the newcomer "Well hello there; I'm Kaito and this is Kaz," He waved a nonchalantly hand at Kasure "Can we help at all? I for one would be delighted to.."

For some reason, none actually, Sora found himself sitting at an odd jumble of rocks hidden a bit off from view. the rigors of being social - that what society required of him, had tired him out.
He had found this spot. with large enough surface room, for him to just fit snugly in. reminiscent of the innumerable times he had found shelter from the sandstorms in the desert. he fell asleep.
only to be waked by the sound of overly exaggerated talking and... was that fighting he heard... no doubt about it.

sora stood up, now towering above the small cluster of rocks that had hidden him from view. he found himself in eye height of two boys fighting and a girl sitting atop a rock looking down at them. none seemed to have noticed him yet.

"...Cute..."

"Well hello there; I'm Kaito and this is Kaz," - Well at least he now knew the name of the boys.

"Can we help at all? I for one would be delighted to..".

Maybe this was where he made his presence known.
for starters.. let me first get out of this hole I'm in.
one giant hand grabbed at one of the rock spikes, and Sora pulled himself up. almost soundlessly. but the weight of his enormous bulk, hitting the ground was kinda hard to mask by his trained movement.
a small tremor went through the ground at the thump of his feet hit the ground.
*Thump*
This guy was big. With a capital B. nothing about him seemed of normal size being 2.06 meters tall, and nothing but muscle.
He was wearing a tailored suit, with his jacket folded under one of his arms. His white shirt partly open in the neck and a few buttons down. revealing a few deep scars across his chest. his hair was in an unorderly ponytail,
witnessing of him sleeping just seconds before.

"you guys having fun without me?" Sora said with a predator grin and a Rumbling deep voice that seemed to vibrate with the stone, he's sleepy voice was out.

being the new guy on campus could always go several ways. might as well take the hard tone from the beginning. one could always make friends afterwards.

A smile crept across her face as the older of the two boys addressed her. She grinned before dropping down off of the rock allowing her dress to flow freely. As she landed a few nano-puppets scattered out from her dress before flying back up to crawl under any gap in her garments. Taking a step towards the two boys she lifted a hand up near her shoulders allowing thousands of chakra strings to be seen being emitted from her fingertips.

"Actually, yes. I am."<i></i>

She let out a chuckle.

"Taijutsu is such a primitive style of combat after all."<i></i>

She turned her gaze to the younger of the two boys.

"Hello child, it's a pleasure to meet you Kaito. And yes, you too Kaz."<i></i>

She said as she glanced over to the older boy. Hundreds of nano-puppets began to crawl from under her dress. Spiders, beetles, mosquitos, and wasps all began to become visible. She raised a hand towards the younger boy as a swarm of wasps began to circle her hand.

"What would you like to do exactly?"<i></i>

She smiled, but quickly raised an eyebrow as she felt a slight tremor in the ground. A huge brought of a man appeared out of seemingly no where. She turned to him as thousands of nano-puppets began to come out from hiding under her dress.

"Fun? Would you care to join?"<i></i>

Hearing the other man Kaz casually glanced at him, then he did a slightly less casual double take. Did an ancient one just rise up from the earth to pick a fight? That is, unusual. Kaz bounced slightly as the Titan hit the ground.

"You're quite tall." He turned back to address the puppeteer

"Primitive is an interesting term. Rock tools are primitive, but you can still beat someone to death with them. As a soldier I choose to have as many honed weapons as I can, I would hate to be thwarted by something as simple as a bug swatter after all."

Oops, I hope that wasn't too far. I really need to learn to stop sometimes. Turning back to the student Kaz would see the nursing of wounds. Oops, I need to learn restraint.

"So Sparring then? Or do you guys want to do something else?"

'Okay Kai, that guy is almost two feet taller than you and Kaz nearly broke your collar bone a second ago… Think it through.' Kaito clapped his hands together a couple of times to shake the dust off them then spread them shoulder wide, smiling.

“That's enough for me thanks, I'll relegate myself to being a spectator for now if you don't mind.” he announced, before hopping up the wall. He grabbed the rest of his sake then sat himself along the edge of the rock and gestured with the bottle for them to continue.

The girl was the first to address him directly

"Fun? Would you care to join?"

Somehow Sora had a hard time deciding what to do with her, first of.. how old was she?..
He squinted his eyes - Oh.. she had paint on her face. oh well.. the wonders of getting to the city, makes it completely impossible to guess a girl's age.
But then again, it was not ugly, and somewhat pleasing to the eye. Sora just wasn't used to it.

Something was off about her, he could not put his finger on it. but something definitely was different.

Depends on how you want to roll it Sora Rumbled back.

He put down his blazer on one of the higher rocks, dusted off some imaginary sand on one of the sleeves.
breaking off a piece of the rock his hand was resting on beside the blazer
infusing it with a bit of chakra, crumbling it and molding it around his hand making a glove from it
OOC: no jutsu, just random rp effect
he hardened his fist and released the chakra, crushing the gravel inside his hand to sand, and the parts around the hand flew off as the hand expanded from the strength applied to it.

"You're quite tall."

not first time Sora heard that, all he did was nod in approval of his erhm... observation

"So Sparring then? Or do you guys want to do something else?"

Sora's entrance might have had an effect on the Kai boy. or maybe not. either way he would not participate in a spar.

“That's enough for me thanks, I'll relegate myself to being a spectator for now if you don't mind.”

He did however have the agility to jump one of the rock wall faces putting him around eye height of Sora.

Sora continued after the Kaito boy had proposed a spar.

"well for a decent 3 way spar"
Sora noded towards Kas to acknowledge his withdrawal
"we should set up some rules, since we have no seniors present, we really can't go all out else someone would end up like this"
He raised his hand in front of him and let the sand slide from his clutched fist

[col]The girl let out a slight laugh as the young student decided to back out of the spar. The kunoichi shifted her body as the swarms of Micro-Puppets began to float through the air in different swarms. A cluster of wasps and mosquitos floated above her shoulders and a swarm of beetles around her feet. Crawling across her skin were thousands of Nano-Spiders that emit a chakra signal similar to the Aburame Clan's Kikai. Secret Art of the Micro-Puppet: Clockwork Jutsu The Kunoichi pressed her hands together in the Tori Handseal.

"Well, define seniors for I am a genin, and unless I am mistaken I do believe that our friend Kaz is as well. I am also equiped with varying medical ninjutsu so you need not worry about being too harmed. I hope you two are ready."

She pulled her hands apart and held her palms towards the other two. As she did this Nano-Spiders began to appear behind her foes transforming themselves into replicas of Kumomi with identical swarms of Micro-Puppets. (Aburame Bug Clone Rank 2)

"I am Kugutsu Kumomi. Founder of the Secret art of Micro-Puppetry, and I formally challenge you to a dual amongst peers."

She snapped her fingers and a flutter of Nano-Beetles crawled up her and merged and created a suit of black armor (Puppet Armor, D-Rank Defensive Puppet Jutsu). With a smile under her helmet she and her clones clapped their wrists together summoning a mixed swarm of Mosquitos and Wasps around her hands. Each clone shot forth a tornado of bladed puppets towards her opponents. One towards the student and two towards the fellow Genin (Swift Spin, E-Rank Offensive Puppet Jutsu & Strike Aid, E-Rank Support Defensive Puppet Jutsu).|

Just before Kumomi began casting jutsu Kaz's eyes locked with hers. Kaz sensed the build up of tension in her frame fractionally ahead of others, call it an instinct about knowing people. And all I wanted was a nice friendly spar. The blow against Kaz seemed for a moment to be fully effective, however the one against Kai would seem to stop short, with a minor explosion. A second later the now pulverised log would drop to the floor where Kaz stood.

"Not bad, though attacking someone who stepped out is a little unsporting." Kaz discarded the tattered ruins of his shirt, revealing that he had taken the hit for the drunk student. He was stood to his full height now, and his athletic frame was framed with slight cuts. "Sorry big guy, wasn't quick enough to take all the hits." The genin stepped forward forming handseals. A spiralling tendril of water shot forth from either hand at the two clones, before he even checked to see if they hand landed more handseals were already in the works, his hands moving at a blur that he wasn't even conscious of. A pair of blades formed from the water and he prepared himself for another onslaught.

(No Bmod.)
