Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kaito had reacted by throwing himself to the floor, curled into a ball, knowing he wouldn't truly escape harm 'Might save the drink at least...' At first he was convinced she'd been all talk and she'd missed, until Kaz spoke up.

"Not bad, though attacking someone who stepped out is a little unsporting."

Sitting up, he leaned round the taller boy's legs to look over at Sora, covertly checking how he'd taken the attack “You see how genin behave these days, man? Do you know if we've got a bullying policy or something?” Rolling to his feet, he pointed sharply at Kumomi with his bottle trying to hold a furious expression before he broke into a cocky smirk.

“To be honest I'd be more mad at you if I hadn't been planning to jump on the first opening I saw.. Looks like we've gone with Ladies Choice for the rules; all on all, try not to kill each other good for you guys? Not that Kumomi's leaving you with a choie either way.”

He threw the bottle he was holding at Kumomi's face, hoping for a weak distraction as he jump over Sora's head. Kaito sprinted off through the rocks, hoping to disappear and come back when the other's had weakened each other.

'No way I'm gonna stick around like a bloody samurai..'

If that is what you're into. Sora's smile widened. as she made her challenge, he had already planned to take the first punch. privilege of the challenger.
but he would not make it easy for her, as she sent her volley he instantaneously released his chakra across his body, solidifying, the attack hit solid rock.
"sorry big guy, wasn't quick enough to take all the hits."
as Sora barely noticed the chip that was blown off his armor, he just nodded And rumbled back "was this not a full skirmish spar?"
he followed up with sending up 2 chunks of rock, one for Kumomi, one for kaz, as he had not yet acknowledged that Kaito had entered the fight again.
although he did notice the bottle, and the heels sprinting off. 'ah.. so it's a 3v3 he thought.
and he prepared the next attack as kaito left the battlefield with a stomp more powerful than most men ever could, he sent a shudder through the stones, several tumbled over, and everyone not in the air at that particular moment would find it hard to even find footing. he did however do this movement slightly slower than he had casually moved earlier. and the stomp left a ring of dust expanding from the point of impact, where his foot now had sunk down and made an imprint of his sole into the solid rock.

Jutsus used:
Tetsukawa - Stone Armor Jutsu
Earthen Fists- Earth Ninjutsu
Footsteps of the Giant - Terrain Effect Jutsu

As the water tendril shot towards the clones the were ripped back into the hundreds of puppets that created them. Kumomi smiled as she watched the battle commence. She looks over at the large student who easily took her attack as if it were nothing, completely ignoring the bottle as her micro-puppets instinctively dart from around her and stop it in its track. She was going to enjoy this brutish man-child. With a chuckle seeping from her armor she twitched her fingers a wall of energy pulsated from her and shattered the chunk of rock that was sent at her (Barrier, C-Rank Non-Elemental Jutsu, Special Action - Energy Wall Earth). As the earth began to shake and she saw the blades appear on Kaz, Kumomi realized she may have underestimated the boys. With a click of her fingers the swarm of Mosquitos shift into a hoard of beetles that quickly darted towards their master to add more protection (Tool Shift, E-Rank Player Puppet Jutsu & Layer Multiplication , E-Rank Defensive Puppet Jutsu).

"Let's see how this goes, shall we."<i></i>

With a clasp of her hands thousands of Micro-Wasps began to fill the room.

"Secret Art of the Micro-Puppet: Projectile Launcher"<i></i>

The stingers of the wasps began to spray thousands of small senbons at her foes. The plus side of being a puppeteer is that she was able to control her Micro-Puppets even if her body was preoccupied with varying attacks, even this attack that is making it hard for her to stand. As if acting to try and catch her balance the young girl fell to her knee and placed both hands on the ground. Earth Style: Sinkhole Fist!<i></i> As she fell a surge of chakra rippled through the ground sending pillars of earth up from underneath her targets hopefully catching them off guard due to the senbon spray from above.

Kaz took the rock from the giant in a blind spot, knocking him on to his back. He inwardly cursed, he had focused too much on one opponent. Suddenly he was sent flying face first into a senbon spray, as the ground catapulted him upwards. So this is what puppeteers fight like He used the replacement technique to place himself where he had been originally. His swords had dispersed in the confusion. Maybe I could deal with the big guy, but every opening would be exploited by both. I don't have enough knowledge of technique to deal with both. I'll be defensive while I get a read. Switching to lower level abilities to conserve chakra Kaz darted backward, just about getting clear of the big mans range. He pulled off the same technique repeatedly, focussing on the puppeteer. At least there was only one big guy.

"Water style, Water gun: Semi auto." Three condensed balls of water were fired at the barrier in quick succession.

Apparently one opponent was used to fighting several opponents, or her abilities just have perks that helped her out, the other not so much, he did however look like one who could handle himself in a one versus one, Sora was not sure that Kumomi would be just as powerful in faceoff. He would not know, as she brushed off his attack as easy as he did hers.
Kaz did take a good few hits, both from Sora and from Kumomi. off to a bad start... Sora moved his attention a bit to spray.. hmm annoying but not really a problem for his stone skin. his short attention shift was made good use of by kaz. as he suddenly was bouncing around him with small bursts of water. actually softening Sora's armor a bit. argh.. this was getting tiresome, Water was the most annoying opponent when he used the defencive stance.
Wonder if they could withstand him going on the offensive, better not. would not accidentally kill anyone if he could help it.
And then out of nowhere pillars of stone shot up from the ground, good thing Sora was of stone at the moment, otherwise this would have been a peculiar situation, Now he was just stuck there
Aawh bollocks.. Sora had to switch to the offensive now, He just had to be careful not to aim for vital spots.
Zaiken - Style - activated.
and he just punched himself out of the predicament, sending chunks of rock flying all over the place, in this particular moment, one not knowing him, would probably think that he has lost his mind, as he unwillingly let out a deep rumbling growl as he made short work of the pillars.
One good thing about those annoying attacks, he had no time for the counter attack. the trials of not going all out it seemed.

Sorry was waiting for kaito to post, since my earlier stomp would have sent him in a sprawl too, he said to just pass him and he would jump back in later.

This battle was seeming too easy, especially due to the size of both of these guys. Kumomi shifted herself to try and get a better view of the environment in which she was sparring. The black armor, and it's extra coatings, prohibited some movement but her natural defenses weren't that great, especially being a puppeteer. She had to make sure her defensive jutsus were able to withstand anything her peer and the students were able to pull out during the spar. As she tried to reconfigure herself and the thousands of micro-puppets her barrier jutsu was destroyed. Being an earth focused barrier the water blast from Kaz was enough to break through, but was she couldn't see were the other two coming in for her. Kumomi quickly pulled up her arms to guard her body as she took two, almost direct, hits from the Ninjutsu user. She took a breath as shards and flakes peeled off of her armor. Her layer multiplication was gone. It, in itself, wasn't very great at defense but it could help in many situations. She was about to go on the onslaught again when she felt something off. Turning her focus over to the students she could sense a huge chakra surge in him, his power level was probably over nine thousand at this point. She braced her body down into the horse position and clapped her hands together, pointing her finger tips at the boy.

"Art of the Micro-Puppet: Clockwork Jutsu: Barrel Trap!!!"<i></i>

In an instant the young puppeteer sent a condensed chakra into more of her puppets that were stored under her dress. More mosquitos began to swarm up and around Kumomi before launching themselves at the bulky student. As the small puppets approached they began to fuse together. A large shell appeared overhead as a strong sheet aimed at his ankles. If successful the flat collection of puppets would cause Sora to trip allowing the shell to clasp down to trap him inside of Kumomi's Snail Formation. Regardless she twisted her body, connecting her chakra system to the heel of her foot before kicking through the air. causing a ripple to appear through the air. Wind Style: Wind Slash! With her kick she would send a blade of air rushing towards Kaz. The attack may not be as strong as she would like but it would still help keep him at bay as most of her chakra was focused on her Snail Barrel Trap.

As he turned the corner, Kaito heard something in the voice of the giant student and the ground felt like it gave way beneath him. He slipped into an uncontrolled roll, ending up some twenty feet or so from the beginning of the fight. 'The hell was that? Maybe one of them's an earth jutsu specialist?' He scrambled back to his feet, bruised and battered, continuing to circle round the area of the fight, trying to find a good angle to surprise the others. Echoing through the standing stones he could hear the rattle of what sounded like hundreds of projectiles striking the rock, it was almost like rain on a tin roof. 'Glad I got out of there, no way I'd have dodged any sort of area attack in that space..' He could also hear the shattering of rocks and what sounded like the distinctive popping of a replacement technique. 'They're really going all out! Or I'm even further away from being a bashar than I thought...'

He finally reached a good vantage point behind Kumomi just as she fell to her knees, forming some sort of earth technique. Kaito crouched low and waited, hoping for an opportunity to engage the female genin with taijutsu. From what he knew of puppetry techniques that should be her weak point. Barely seconds later the girl was struck by several large water jutsu. She reacted almost instantly, launching some sort of swarm of bugs; between how fast it was moving and how far away Kaito was he couldn't make out exactly what had happened, but the bade of air he did understand. By launching a high kick she'd weakened her footing, it was probably the best chance Katio would get. 'Tch! Of all days to leave my sword at home, it would be when I've finally found a spar worth having! Kito threw himself into a sprint at his hijab clad opponent, calling on his charka to coat his own leg in lightning energy which he swung in a classic Low Sweep; aiming to dump her onto the floor so he could follow up with another strike.

“Lightning Style: Thunderfist!”

[Sorry about missing my turn there, should be more around now.]

Let's just try instinct. Kaz closed his eyes and let his hearing guide is dodges of the flying rubble. Then he heard a whistling, like a strong wind. His body took over and a hand raised as though trying to stop it. It didn't seem to do whatever he had intended as the genin took the full brunt of the technique and was sent bouncing away. On second thoughts, instincts might be a terrible idea. Owwwwwwwww He bounced up, and began stretching himself and limbering up, this fight be a longer fight and it wouldn't do to be unprepared.

"Well that was awkward. Need to learn how to use that I guess." Kaz smiled.

Sora had just smashed all the rock holding him in place, when he Got his legs swept from under him, *ROAR* was the only sound coming from him although it was followed by the sound of two large rocks hitting each other as he smashed head first into the ground. *Boom*
for a few seconds there everything was dark. then Sora opened his eyes. and what do you know.. it was still dark, "what the..." and he then remembered, probably a seal of some kind, puppet masters loves to use them.
"gotta make good use of this."
he waited a few seconds until he could hear the fight again outside, he used the timeout as a breather, he had let out a bit too much power there. not on purpose, but when he got really into a fight, it sometimes happened.
he welcomed the timeout. following every movement outside with is tremor sense, every movement outside, although blurred, was clear enough for him to make it out, although he did not catch the thunder attack, until he actually make his strike, maybe he was too far away when he made his jump, or the composition of the rock limited his "vision", for once he actually wished for a better ability than this, this was no deadly fight, but he hated to lose, and hearing who got hit and who moved where was key to victory when one was called out of the game. Sora made a small effort, limiting the chacra channels to his skin, thereby stopping the continuous petrification of his skin.
and then he did something not usually his metié, he waited for his opportunity to get back into the fight

The trap worked. The young kunoichi let out a sigh as the brute of a man seemed to be contained. Snapping off the syphoning effect of manipulating the snail the trap would be self sustaining from this point on due to her Clockwork Jutsu. All seemed to calm slightly as the other genin took on the puny attempt of an attack and began stretching to stay limber for the long haul. All seemed calm until she felt a disturbance with her puppets. Thousands of Micro-Spider rushed from her and towards the direction of the voice of the child.

She grinned and turned around to see that her puppets had created a wall behind her and caught the blow from the child's kick, but the electricity charging from it did land some sort of damage. Tiny zaps hit the back of the kunoichi's leg. Pulling her leg up she decided to play with this kid. She took a deep breath, infusing it with chakra. Wind Style: Pressure Burst She reached down, forcing her palm towards the boy's stomach. A sphere of air appeared which would quickly explode upon contact with the young shinobi. She liked this kid. He had courage to face a stronger target knuckle to knuckle.

((OoC: Hey Kaito. with the Aburame's Kikai Control passive, at most your Thunderfist+Low Sweep combo could do 95 damage... so... not trying to be all god-moddy so...))

Kaito blinked in shock as a mass of the unnatural spiders burst out of nowhere to catch his leg before the blow could land home. The lightning energy he'd gathered lashed out towards the girl, grazing her leg. 'Well, at least it worked… Not bad for a first try.' Kaito reflected, feeling a small burst of satisfaction. He tried to yank his leg out of the swarm, anticipating a retaliation but it held fast and he looked on mournfully; knowing he couldn't react in time.

The wall of creepy crawlies fell away as the girl's hand shot out in a palm thrust, blowing away Kaito's guard. As it hit home Kaito felt the strange pressure associated with wind style attacks and gasped as the breathe was driven completely out of his body; he skidded a few steps back before stumbling to his hands and knees panting for breath.
'Come on Kai, pull it together you're wide open!' He raged at himself, trying to force his body back under control as it shook under the effects of the jutsu.

Looking up he could see Kaz and Sora preparing to jump back in the fight. Neither of them seemed like they were really hurt; though Kaz was limbering up like he'd been smacked around. 'Doesn't mean much, that guy's always playing weak… Guess my only hope is that they take on each other again?'

“Ah well; wouldn't be much of a Suna ninja if I hadn't at least tried..” he smirked to himself, racking his brain for a way out.

((OoC: Sorry to have to do this but I really need to clear up some of my RP threads. @Kaito I will be opening a class for a friend so if you would want to join that you may. You too Sora!))

Kumomi smiled at the boy as he spoke about what it took to become a shinobi for sand. It warmed her heart to see such determination in such a young mind. She nodded at the boy and lowered her defenses. She made her way to the door rather quickly and stopped for a second before looking back to Sora, Kaz, and Kaito. She felt like she would be seeing them around more than she would probabaly like. She nodded to them as to say "Good Game" before leaving the room, leaving only a few destroyed puppets behind.

Kaz suddenly felt dizzy, he just had enough time to nod to Kumomi before she left. Oh crap when did I eat last? The blood on his hands had triggered something in the back of his mind. I think I'm going to throw up.

“Sorry I'm gonna have to go I think I left the..”

Before even finishing the sentence he was over the wall. If there was one thing he didn't want people to see it was him throwing up. Especially considering he wasn't the drunk one...

As sora was getting ready to continue the fight, suddenly 2 of the participants elected to retreat, what was this?. they did not even finish.. oh well... another time perhaps.. Sora broke the shell containing him, as he had recovered what he had lost, it was not a problem anymore. He stood up.. raised his clenched fist in a straight arm to the height of his head, as a a salute to the fight and the participants.
"another time" he rumbled with his uneven yung voice. he looked back at the last participant, strode towards him and helped him up.
"i think this fight is no longer viable to continue" Sora sad to Kaito.

Kaito, rolled on to his back, panting. He stared up at Sora from the floor. 'Huh, well I guess this is another way it could end without me getting the hell beat out of me… I'll take it I guess.'

"i think this fight is no longer viable to continue"

Kaito dangled in the air for a few moments as his towering fellow student pulled him all the way off the floor and into the air “Yeah, I'd say you're right. Not much fight left in me any way. Guess it's a win for the Academy, huh? We'll be graduating in no time at this rate. You up for a rematch sometime?” Katio shot Sora a confident grin, brushing himself off as he was set back on his feet. “Not anytime soon though, you'd wipe the floor with me! For now at least.." The friendly giant seemed like the best sort of ally; a damn lot more powerful than Kaito without the condescension to go with it. 'No idea how he's still in the academy, but this place might just be worth going to for a while at least!'

With a start Katio remembered the reason he'd been cutting class in the first place and shot a remorse filled glance over his shoulder at the wasted, broken bottle of sake he'd thrown earlier. Sighing, he gave it up for a bad job and turned back to his companion.
“By the way, did you ever take Roku-sensei up in his offer? I haven't seen him since that class...” he asked, turning to walk back to the school, expecting that the other man would follow.

“Any idea which class we should be I anyway?”

Well at least the little fella did know his limits, it was fun, but not all out, far from, maybe that was a good thing, as it turned out only one of the participants actually managed to be on par with Sora, but then again, they could also be holding back, or trying new stuff.

"well I would not know until we would do an all out battle" sora said and as if on a second thought he said "but I don't think the officials would like that"
As Kaito walked on Sora picked up his Blazer and donned it, buttoning it this time, as he was not supposed to fight, the movement restriction the blazer of the suit gave him would do fine to limit him from accidentally breaking stuff from too large movements. he then followed suit.

“By the way, did you ever take Roku-sensei up in his offer? I haven't seen him since that class...”
“Any idea which class we should be I anyway?”
Kaito said as Sora caught up with him.
"No.. Not as of yet. I have just arrived at Suna, so I would not know where to start enrolled earlier today, was taking a break from all this paperwork before going to find my class"

[ooc: your mixing up the timing.. (Rokus class was after this) but its okay.. I'll play along.. :p placing this as before Kumomi's class]

“Well I would not know until we would do an all out battle, but I don't think the officials would like that.”
Kaito scoffed, consciously lengthening his stride to keep up with the bigger... man. 'Yeah, can't go thinking of a guy who can split rock with his walk as anything but a man really..'

“You're a liar and a flatterer man. I don't have enough in the tanks yet to be holding stuff back and I bet you're good enough to know that,” He threw a joking elbow nudge that only just reached Sora's side “Wouldn't be admitting it if I didn't think you already knew, I like to think I run this place y'know?” He gestured off-hand at the academy as they rounded the building, then stared at the rocky ceiling that is Sunagakure's unchanging sky.

“And you only just got here, it's a big old world when we get out for under this rock… Hey, maybe you can tell me about it some day? Any sort of edge is better than a blunt blade and all that. Think I read that somewhere, library's a great place; they never look under the lower shelves for students out of class.” He sighed melodramatically.

He realised he was quick-fire prattling away and frowned, it was always a sure sign the chakra and adrenaline had burnt the alcohol out of his system. Kaito started bouncing from foot to foot as they walked, trying in vain to keep himself functioning in a polite way so the big guy could talk.

“Hey! You been to the Grand Palais yet? Best booze and dancing in Suna! Any kind of dancing too, y'know?” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively at Sora “If neither of us know our class anyway, I highly recommend we grab your paperwork and finish it while we take a little tour, I bet we'd hardly even spill anything on it, whaddaya say?
