General Description: Pale skin and soft features inform Kiseki’s gentle countenance, every movement a slow, carefully calculated method by necessity. Hair like snowfall frames a bird-like bone structure, initial impressions citing a worry that so much as a touch could shatter him; as if glass, mayhaps, but glass stained by the bright, unwavering blue of eyes beneath the winter cover of white eyelashes. His breathing, while not labored, is quiet, confirmed only by the slight movement of his chest on inspection, imparting often the image of a picturesque corpse.
Intuition belies nothing: Kiseki is, for all intents-and-purposes, a fragile, near sickly thing. His physical prowess is unremarkable especially among shinobi - while not lethargic, he has no inherent additional ability to movement or power, often trailing slightly behind groups in anything that requires more than a quick burst of speed. While born sickly, he ultimately contracted no long-term medical conditions, but the combination of a slow start and fretting parents kept him from overcoming the starter-line weakness in his muscles.
While not pampered, this sheltered life led to his physical gentleness reflecting in the personality of a soft-spoken, kind-hearted little boy. He’s not so naive as to not recognize the world they live in; the opposite, yet, having a keen perspective for the horrors and anguish of a life so military that he could only but watch while growing up - but hopes only to overcome these obstacles, both physical and emotional, as a group, strengthening each individual’s weaknesses to form a greater power. Kiseki, while not always the best at vocalizing his wants, cares so deeply and wishes so strongly for a kinder world. A world he could keep up in.
History: Kiseki Akane, born premature, was unexpected to last and kept for observation two weeks following his birth.
This was agonizing for his parents, who had lived a homey, standard country life and spent their late years wanting nothing more than to have a child together. They were both already on in these years themselves - past middle-age - and had met after previous relationships in a surprise romance, cultivating a worry that they might have missed their shot to start a family in their prime. They, however, as they put it, were gifted a “little miracle” (Kiseki) in their son, only to face another deep concern with his condition.
He pulled through, of course, but the impact of this worry never left the senior Akanes, and Kiseki spent the entirety of his childhood fretted over and sheltered from any notable exertion: leading to both his modern day atrophy and a desire to create a world he could be stronger in. Not for his own insecurity or glory, but a world that wouldn’t scare his parents or their ilk. A world where, perhaps, someone could be born weak, but weak didn’t mean fear.
The Academy is the first step, each new terror one more for Kiseki to overcome, but every one more practice for his ultimate, lofty goal.
