Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A door in a cave normally would arise suspicion and caution, however Rirakkusu was in a rush. His irritation with the worried slugs caused him to burst open the door. That in itself was a mistake, made worse when he turned to speak to Shin. Ri had no time to react as a large palm the size of the boy's face clamped onto his head as he faced forward again. It lifted him with little effort and slammed the back of Ri's head into the wall beside the door. Fukidasu flew off from Ri, falling a distance away.

Meanwhile, Shin was able to see a group of lowlifes, numbering thirteen total. They were well equipped for both the weather and for battle. Dangling over a spiky pit from a rope was a small, buck-toothed boy. On his hat was the symbol of Kumo. He kicked his legs frantically. "Halp!" Due to the reckless entrance of Rirakkusu, all of the bandits had their eyes on Shin and pulled their weapons to them. All of them had shields that they held up defensively and swords prepared to swing as they rushed to fight the intruders. Six ran to face Shin, while five approached the giant man that was squeezing Ri's skull. The last criminal stayed back, watching the fight unfold.

Just... Freaking... Great... The day was already bad enough since he got paired with someone he wasn't too fond of, walked around in a snow storm in the mountains, and had to babysit a couple of slime balls. But now, even more people decided they'd come along and ruin his day! Some group of ass holes blindsided him and one slammed the back of his head into the wall. Thankfully, his hat was saved from destruction, which was just lucky for the bastard who did that. He might live today. Maybe. Just.. Maybe. Only reason they were all able to do their own thing after their little surprise attack, was the fact that Ri was too busy thinking about how pissed off he was now. He'd done so many things today to try and avoid blowing up, and then these little shits come along and try to act all tough, while some annoying little kid had a panic attack over a pit of spikes. Unacceptable.

"You're dead bitch..." He mumbled loud enough for the group to hear, or so he hoped. The boy flew through some hand seals and formed a molten cloak around his body, which he hoped would get the large man's dirty hand off of his head and push them all back. If this worked, he would look towards the group and whatever they were doing. Look wouldn't be the words to describe it actually.. The boy would glare at the group, and slowly draw his sword. He no longer cared about their safety, nor did he care about whatever answers they could get out of them, he thought too much about how pissed he was now so there was no going back.

The shinobi's first target was obvious, at least to him it was. The bastard who slammed his head into a wall. Once he was done drawing his sword, he gripped it with both hands and launched himself forward. Once he was within striking distance, he swung his sword and went straight for the man's neck. It just wouldn't be satisfying if it wasn't the quickest death he could provide, or the slowest one he could manage. Any of the guy's cronies, or what he assumed to be his cronies, would just have to wait until he settled this.

Though he remain silent as the giant hand had grabbed his partner, his mental signed as it situation. Charging into a situation blind…typical. Shin noticed Fukidasu flying off somewhere, causing his to speak quickly to his own slug. With the bandits having their sights on him now, he didn't want to have to worry about his slug being knocked off into this cave.

“Hang on tightly Fukideru.”

He looked at the bandits and staring at him, before drifting towards the small boy hanging from the rope. To take a member of his village…was something that made the demon blood in him rage. If they wished to be treated like threats, then he would give them the deaths the deserved. Making sure his slug was secured, he narrowed his eyes at them men coming at him before stepping backwards, not in fear, but for preparation for his attack. He hands blurred through a few signs before a rift in the air appeared behind him. The distortion was shifted for a moment, before ten bright balls of energy flew at ten of the men. If the men got hit, they would have noticed a thin line of dark energy covering the glowing orbs, giving off a vibe of evil. Preparing for the chance that his blow missed, he made sure follow up by opening his mouth and releasing a stream of water, intent on impaling whoever was in his path. While he did this, he made sure to pay attention to his partner, not in case the teenager need help, rather he didn't want to be blindside by the man that grabbed Ri. Last thing I need is a future corpse blocking my aim.

The man holding Rirakkusu's head screamed in pain as the flesh on his hand began to melt. He pulled away, staggering a bit as he hunched over. His left hand gripped at his wrist, as if he could stop the pain if he squeezed hard enough. Due to his odd posture, the large man was able to see Ri's intent as he lunged forward. The man drew his shield, blocking the swing from Rirakkusu. He continued to block each swing, but his rhythm began to falter due to the pain in his hand and the fierceness of Ri's assault. Finally, as three men approached the sword-wielding shinobi, Ri finally sliced the large man's head clean off. A whimper came from the boy suspended over the pit, his experience with death obviously lacking.

Meanwhile, Shin shot a blast of chakra balls, spreading the jutsu out amongst as many attackers as possible. Four of the men rushing at him blocked with their shields, one was hit, causing him to stumble in his dash to Shin, while the last was knocked out cold. On Ri's side, two blocked the attack as well, with the other two taking the hit. However, the distance was enough to lessen the blow, and they remained conscious as they were hit into the wall to the side, landing near Fukidasu. As the remaining four neared Shin, the dark-skinned shinobi shot condensed water from his mouth. Though the man it was aimed at blocked, the shot pierced through his shield, drilling straight through his skull. Only three remained to face Shin, though one was lagging behind the other two. Since his head clearer, Shin could see the woman in the back with a menacing smile on her face. She drew a dagger and looked up at the boy suspended in the air.
This next round, you guys get only 3 actions. Hitting/killing an enemy equals 1 action. If you use an attack that would hit three enemies at once, it still counts as your 3 actions despite it only being "one move". You may also do other things as an action besides attacking as well. Pm me if you want to know if you can fit everything you want to do in your post.

Shin eyes narrowed at the woman's threat, his chakra flaring up as he started at the remaining lackeys approaching him. Glancing at Ri, he wondered which of the two would be fast enough to reach the boy. Even with their shield, Shin hardly felt threaten by the men approaching him. If anything, the constant struggle was an irritation that he would need to snip in the bud, quickly and effectively. Though wasting time with the peons, mean more problems for the captured boy; also without an knowledge on where the other slug had fallen, he could be sending the corpses crashing down onto the small animal. Too much caution and I'll make a mistake. Too little and I could end up causing the situation worst. Shin released a small breath as he departed his plan of attack, his mind calculating both the negative and positive position of his potential approach. As he opened his mouth, he began going through handsigns, his blue eyes looking at the approaching threats will malice.

"I'll leave them to you Ri!"

As his hands stopped, his body seemed to fade from view as his active cameo began to kick in. Everything from his movements, to the sound of his footsteps would be shrouded by the chakra as it covered his body, effectively blending him in with the cave's walls. Using this element of surprise, the trainee would began moving by the bandits, hopefully getting back them, and getting towards the woman leader. If he had managed to make it past them, he would slowly use place his hands forward, effectively using his control over Gravity to rebel the woman away from the boy. Hopefully Raiden's luck was with him, or this hostage was going to be getting a more in depth brush with death. One probably more intimate than he would have wanted.

So now that the big guy was out of the way, it was time to take care of the little cowards that believed they would back up their friend and not get hurt. "I count four.. Which of you wants to die first?" He assumed that they would at least have a fearful look on their face at this point, not that it mattered. They would all be dead soon enough. Ri noticed one of the slugs, who had flown into harm's way recently, but remembered that he still had his molten cloak activated. Approaching one of them now would be foolish. Turning his attention back to the men, he smiled, it was time to have some fun.

The boy rushed into the middle of the four men and grabbed one by the face, watching his facial expression change as his skin melted under the intense heat. After enjoying the sight for a moment, he threw the man into one of his comrades hoping it would be enough to incapacitate them both. Drawing his sword again, he quickly slashed at one of the remaining mens' chest. After all of that, he became a bit tired and deactivated his cloak. Maintaining that damn thing was tiring, and it certainly didn't help how he decided to throw a full grown man across the cave. Sheathing his sword once again, he looked to the last man left standing, the intent to kill visible in his eyes.

"That was quite the display, boy! Keep up with that and you might even become a demon one day!" A voice rang inside his head, but he couldn't tell where the hell it had come from. It echoed a bit as it slowly faded away.

"Who the hell was that!?" He shouted, but there was no reply. It would be best to figure all of this out later when he wouldn't make a fool of himself in front of his enemies and comrade.
Molten cloak deactivated, and introducing: mysterious voice in Ri's head!

The man with a now melted face screamed in agony, causing the burly men in the cave to flinch. His body was thrown at one of his comrades, who was prepared for the human projectile thanks to his painful howl. Instead, the bandit made contact with one of the two men near Fukidasu, their weapons held up as they were prepared to end the slug's life. The creature let out a loud yelp as the mace sliced its side, narrowly missing crushing it completely. In response, Fukidasu spit goo on the pile of conscious men. The smell was strong enough to reach Rirakkusu's nostrils, and it reminded him of the gunk Fukideru had spit up earlier that day. The slug inched its way towards Ri, hoping it might be able to assist him further. However, the wound slowed the creature further, and it wasn't going to get far before two of the men lifted themselves up and followed after. Ri still had two guys to deal with though, and there was something different about them. Now looking closer, the one who had dodged Rirakkusu's throw had a single red eye with black circles within it. Any shinobi worth his headband knew it was the Sharingan. The other bandit, who started to circle around Ri, dropped his weapons and pulled up his fists. From the corner of his eye, the black-haired shinobi could see the man's skin turn a brownish tint as his steps grew heavier.

Meanwhile, the three remaining bandits on Shin's side looked around baffled as their target disappeared. Regular humans could not comprehend the antics of the shinobi, and their way to drop into stealth seemingly out of nowhere. Shin successfully stepped through them, heading towards the female in the back. Drawing closer to her, Shin could see her orange hair and brownish-red eyes. Still focused on the boy, she threw the dagger at the rope, only to have it knocked down by Shin's gravity jutsu. The woman growled before turned towards the location the tanned shinobi had been. She was shocked at first not to see him there, but soon her eyes locked onto Shin's location. It was uncanny how she knew exactly where he was. Drawing closer still, Shin could now see a ring of bright red around the woman's already burgundy irises. She gave a smirk. "So that letter was right. Capture a pup and the dogs come barkin'. Hopefully yas got one of them fancy bloodlines. Thems the easiest to extract." The woman took her thumb and scrapped it against the rocky wall. Blood seeped from the wound, more so than one would expect, before forming into a short sword. "We ain't yas average cutthroats kiddies." Upon Shin's shoulder, Fukideru shuddered. "B-be careful."

The first few foes had been simple to take care of, but Ri quickly realized that he forgot to try and save Fukideru. By the time he turned to see what condition the slug was in, it was too late, and one of the bandits were already smashing the poor thing. Or so he thought, but the same awful smell from earlier reminded him of the slime, and he knew what Fukideru intended for him to do with it. The boy flew threw a set of hand seals, and ignited the slime, along with the still conscious men. He doubted any of them would be tough enough to sit in such a blaze without screaming, and knew that such a sound would be the perfect back round noise for the fight about to happen. Two more men approached him, each with their own fancy abilities. One was obviously an Uchiha, or at the very least had a sharingan, and the other had a familiar ability. He was sure he learned about it somewhere, but he wasn't about to bother trying to remember the name for it. "So, we've got someone with an incomplete Sharingan, and a guy who can make himself heavier... Shouldn't be too hard." The small tremors caused by one of the man's footsteps were becoming annoying for the boy, so he knew that would be the first thing he would take care of.

"You seem so proud of your weight.." He said as he finished a few hand seals, and not long after the man should begin to feel the effects of his gravity jutsu making him lighter. Ri hoped that the man would just accept his fate and float into the air like a good little bandit, but if he didn't, he would make sure he plows through him with the attack meant for his friend. The change in skin tone reminded Ri of one of his older jutsu, one that might come in handy if he was facing an Uchiha, and one that would make it even more fun to just beat the two senseless instead of using a sword. Another set of hand seals were made, and Ri crouched down to touch the rocky surface beneath him. His skin seemingly absorbed the ground, and it wasn't long before he went through a bit of a transformation himself, covering his body in the same gray surface that surrounded them. First removing his hat, Ri cracked his knuckles and knelt down again like he was about to charge at his opponent with his sword. But instead of using the sword like he usually would, he was going to hit the one with the Sharingan as hard as he possibly could with his stony fist.

If his opponents were close enough to any normal humans or sub-par shinobi, then he would seem like nothing more than a blur once he dashed forward. Fist already raised, Ri slammed into his opponent -- hoping to knock him back -- and launched his fist forward in the hopes that he might break a few bones or knock out some teeth. This really was the way a battle should be, nice and up close. Really, losing some of his eyesight was worth it for the amount of fun he's had since that time.

An Uchiha? Well this rescue mission just got a bit more complicated. What troubled the shinobi as he looked at leader was her response. Someone had been expecting people to come find the boy, but if it weren’t for the slugs, the student would be dead. But if this was true, then were was the supposed backup? Even with the skills of the sharrigan, were these bandits so arrogant that they believe they could take down a party of trained shinobi? Even with the hostage situation, had Ri or Shin not been from the same village, the could have writing off the student as a necessary causality. But they were, and these woman would face punishment for her mistake.

The trainee said nothing as he looked at the woman, his fist clenched as he began drawing in yellow chakra, causing his fist to glow. Second latter, he release the chakra into the air, filling it blinding flash of light that would hopefully impair the woman’s vision for a few moments. I need to take her alive. Shifting his weight, Shin brought both his palms forward, causing the gravity around him and the woman to be distorted and perhaps gaining him a few more minutes as he focus as he began tossing photon energy into the sky above him. The cave sparkled with the energy, causing the chakra to appear like stars in the night sky. That was until said starts began shooting down upon the woman, planning to explode upon impact with her. As he cast this, he felt his body tense as he prepare for this attacks to fail. He doubted he would end this conflict without gaining a few cuts, but he still had quite a few aces up his sleeves.

The smell of burning flesh filled the air as Rirakkusu set the men ablaze. From behind, the hardened man did not take the gravity shift sitting down, though it did take him by surprise. As his feet lifted off the ground, he reached down to grab the earth with his hand, pulling himself down. He slammed his free fist into the earth twice, causing two tremors that shoot Rirakkusu's bones. But it wasn't enough to stop the boy of course. Shinobi were trained to not falter. With his body covered in stone, Ri lunged towards the man behind him, punching viciously in a fit of annoyance and pleasure. However, while each hit did connect, the man seemed unfazed. Small chunks of earth flew from the contact points, but Ri couldn't break through. In response, the man gave a punch of his own, slamming his rock solid fist into Ri's torso. The force was so great it was able to break the earthen coating on Ri's body. Rock shards from the man's fist penetrate the shinobi's chest. The sharingan-wielding bandit watched carefully, his red eye following the motions of battle. Seeing an opening, he sprang forward and prepared to slash with his sword. However, he screamed loudly as acid was shot into his eye by Fudidasu. He continued forward with his attack, but it was by no means going to be a surprise now. Fukidasu wiggled her tentacles. "These guys aren't shinobi! If you use advanced techniques, they shouldn't be able to handle it!"

On his end, Shin was going all out with is Ninjutsu. The burst of light he shot at the woman just barely missed as she sidestepped. But the flash was enough to cause her to pause. This was enough time for Shin to shift the gravity of the area, slamming the woman against the stone wall. She pushed against it, before dragging herself towards her opponent. Stars sprang to life above them, only to crash down on the redhead with mighty explosions. Smoke filled the area, and the bandits took this opportunity to rush Shin from behind. "I-I've got this good buddy!" A small weight lifted off Shin's shoulder as Fukideru jumped into the air. He curled into a ball and smacked one of the bandits in the face. When he landed, the slug began rolling around on the ground, distracting the bandits so Shin could focus on the woman. The air cleared around the bandit leader, revealing a bloody mess of a woman. Red liquid dripped off her body from every pore. Her gaze lifted to meet Shin's, revealing her now completely red eyes. She held up a hand, and Shin's body froze. His blood began to shift, and it began to be ripped out of his veins. The woman slowly approached Shin, her breathing heavy as the blood she pulled from Shin was absorbed into her. "Ya think yas hot stuff huh? I was created to handle yas kind. But the way yas are flingin' thems kinda shit around, ya boys ain't worth our time. There's nothin' redeemin' about ya at all. Our blood's superior to yas." She pulled her bloody knife up to Shin's throat and gave a smirk. "Pun intended. Now night night ya worthless shit." A distant memory surfaced in Shin's mind, and a vaguely familiar voice spoke in choppy sentences. Those with...blood are cursed...have power no mortal should ...feel it? ...was able to make stand still, motionless against assault ...To trust ...playing with fate... finish the job...Remove from society.

Shin simply nodded Fukideru, before looking at the smoke clearing and the bloody leader starting back at the shinobi. As their eyes met, he felt his body lock him, his control of his motions frozen by the gaze of red. Genjutsu? Shi- He felt the twisting of his body as his blood was ripped from flesh, before joining with the woman. He ignored the pain as he listened to her drone on about the superiority of his blood or whatever crazyed bandits spoke of. He looked down at the blood knife, fighting to regarding control of his body so that he could end this woman.

As the knife touched his throat, Shin felt a familiar pain burning onto his chest as a sudden flood of broken memories ran through his mind. He felt sadness…and a rage unfamiliar to him. This was an oddity to the trainee, he hadn’t remembered encountering the Uchiha clan. Yet these memories of events he hadn’t remembered. All these thoughts he pondered even with the threat of death inches from his neck. In this moment a single name seemed to appear in his mind as he felt his power flaring up. Shinku. The fallen uchiha, the curse eyes of that bloodline. I had forgotten. No mercy, only death awaits for them.

Shin was turning his head, dodging the blow as he felt his flesh burn as sinister chakra began to surround it. No word spared, not false promises made. The blood of his ancestory began to make themselves apparent as he felt darkness and lighting coverage onto his palms, a tempest of energy forming as he prepared his assault.

Even if he missed, the woman had awaken a sleeping demon, one who would not be satiated until he every bandit in the cave was dead. Uchiha or not, he would not be sparing anyone that was a threat. Saving people wasn’t in his line of work. Shin was a killer, and it was time to begin the slaughter.

Of course something as silly as that wouldn't stop these men from getting what they wanted.. The two tremors caused by the man's fist were shrugged off as quickly as they came, but his assault ended up doing nothing in the end. The man with red eyes seemed unfazed by the shinobi's attacks, and when he unleashed an attack of his own the earthen coating chipped from Ri's skin, causing the jutsu to completely release and the boy to fall backwards. Being the agile bastard he is, the boy used the momentum from the fall to immediately roll back onto his feet and jump back a bit to think of another plan. Just as he landed however, he heard a scream and noticed one of the bandits, acid in his eyes and sword drawn, rushing toward him. The attack was easy to dodge after Fukidasu had assisted him, and she also brought up some good points. "Guess there's no choice now..." He sighed, black smoke now billowing from his mouth. Inhaling, the boy crouched down and released all of the black smoke he had created, all of it searing hot and able to leave at least third degree burns on any who touch it.

The smoke seemingly solidified into two separate tendrils, the first aimed toward the man still suspended in the air and the second at the man who was still writhing in pain. If each of these tendrils connected, Ri would wait just long enough to enjoy their pain before forming another set of seals, causing a light to appear beneath each of them. From this light, a geyser of lava would erupt from the ground and hopefully melt even the men's flesh from their bones. They couldn't fight if they couldn't live after all, and even if they wanted to continue afterwards, they probably wouldn't be much of a challenge. Not that they are currently.

Using the chance he hoped to create, Ri would alter gravity around Fukidasu, causing he to launch toward him. As she flew through the air, he would catch her and place her back on his hat. With that, all immediate dangers should've been taken care of. Except the kid of course, but hopefully Shin was taking care of that. The flash of light that came from that general direction could be seen as a good sign. Maybe. There was still whimpering echoing through the cave, kid's supposed to be a shinobi too...

Shin struggled against the blood in his veins, urging it to obey him or risk spilling from his body. But the slice of the knife could not be avoided. However, as the woman pressed harder still into his throat, she found her blade resisted. She staggered back as Shin's demonic chakra encased him, and the sheer pressure of it almost made her vomit. But she held it in, and lunged at the dark-skinned man, swinging her blood dagger wildly. He dodged out of the way before charging chakra to his hand. It pulsed with dark, electrical energy, and as he released it upon his victim, a mini tempest formed around the woman. Blood coated her body to protect her, but the darkness seemed to seep through. She was able to resist enough to remain standing. She breathed heavily as her eyes glared at Shin. She screamed loudly, causing the blood on her body to spurt out. It covered the area, as well as Shin, and she began heating the red liquid to a boil. "Burn in hell demon!"

Rirakkusu's fight continued with an eruption of smoky tentacles and lava plumes. The faux Uchiha thrash about in the grip of the tendril, screaming in fear and pain as the lava encased his body. This shriek caught the attention of the bandits who were distracted by Fukideru. They decided it wasn't worth their lives and ran for the exit of the cavern. Ri gravitated Fukidasu, pulling it onto his hat. He turned to face Shin, who was still in battle. "Behind you Rirakkusu!" The stone-skinned man remained, running towards Ri. The earth on his body was magma itself, and patches of melted flesh could be seen where the rock armor had failed. His arm was pulled back, prepped for a final punch with the last of his strength.

Shin felt himself laughing at the Uchiha, so quickly did her confidence turn into fear when her advantage was taken away. He let the pain from the chakra armor provide him focus, he hands blurring as he drew in more power for his assault. Even the pain from the boiling blood beneath him, only fueled the demon turned shinobi. Grasping his hands, he allowed the weight of gravity to wash over his body as he began pulling the ground beneath her together. Expect few of his attacks to hit, but more damage to the woman, then the easier it would be to end the straggles.

“Chibaku Tensei ”

The earth would begin to form away the woman and hopefully trap her. Even if it didn’t he was already going through his next set of hand signs before electrical energy surge with him, mixing with his tainted chakra before the trainee thrusted his hands forwards, releasing the burst of energy. He wasn’t leaving anything to chance with this woman, he need to make sure would out a doubt that nothing would remain. If all went according to plan, he could finish rescuing the stupid boy and leave this mountain. Hopefully Fukideru alive, having a sentinel creature for an ally could have it advantages.

Ri was quick to look behind him at Fukideru's cry, but not as quick to react to the attack. The only thing he managed to do was get one arm up before the molten man's fist slammed into his arm, and his arm into his head, causing him to tumble to the floor and Fukideru to fly off along with his hat. Despite his slamming against the floor, Ri quickly rolled back over onto his feet and tried to stomp on the man's head, who he assumed would've fallen along with him due to the exhaustion and pain he must be feeling at the time. If it turned out the man was still standing, the giant boy would try to kick him over so that he could properly stomp on his head until he was satisfied.

The whole time he was doing this, he didn't once stop to think about the kid that was chained to the roof of the cave, and the likely disgustingly scarring sights before him. Sure, he heard the screams from before, but that would be nothing compared to seeing a man's head being stomped in. Ri could only hope the boy would look away if he was successful... If he got his way, Ri would walk back to his hat and Fukideru, pick both up to place them back on his head, then sit down to watch how Shin's fight was going down. The same aura he had felt before was present, and more prominent than ever. It seemed that it really was intimidating to other people, must really suck for cowards like the woman he was facing now... But it should be entertaining for him, give him time to cal- He has to rescue the damn kid...

"Fuck.." The boy sighed as he stood back up and grabbed his sword. he would try to slip by the woman without drawing her attention, so that he could jump over the pit, cut the boy down to catch him, and land on the other side with the kid in his arms. Upon reaching the ground, he would place the boy down and continue to watch Shin's fight.

Each shinobi's respective battle came to an intense, swift end. Rirakkusu's foot came down on the molten bandit's head a few times, and after a few hardy cracks, it became obvious he would no longer stand up again. Shin's opponent convulsed violently as she was hit with high voltage electricity which was amplified by the red liquid encasing her. The burning sensation on Shin's body let up as the woman felt face first into her own pool of blood. Silence filled the cave as Ri cut down the small child and lowered him to the ground.

The slugs came together and slid up to the boy now clutching his head and shaking. "Are you okay Nazukego?" The child sniffed loudly. "Y-Yeah." The slugs looked to the two bloody shinobi and wiggled their tentacles. "Let's get out of here. I think we all could use some fresh air." "Even if it is cold air." They slinked slowly out of the cave, making small chat to help calm the small boy. When they reached the entrance, the slugs made small squishing noises that seemed to represent their relief. "That was quite the ordeal." "For real." Fukidasu addressed the older shinobi. "Thank you for helping our dear Nazukego. I would hate to think what would have happened had you not intervened." Fukideru jumped as it appeared he had an idea. "We should form a contract, don't you think?" Fukidasu nodded vigorously. "Yes yes! They indeed showed some fine qualities...underneath those rough exteriors. Please wait a moment. We'll be right back." The two slugs poofed away in a cloud of smoke, and all three lads were left standing in the nippy air.

Five minutes later, a loud rumble resonated in the mountain as a large slug landed upon its side. Its large figure curled around and its head blotted out the sun as it positioned itself before the shinobi. Fukidasu and Fukideru returned along with the large beast. A booming, yet gentle voice spoke. "I have been told of your deeds brave shinobi. Please hold for a moment and I will cure your wounds." The loud squishing sound echoed before a goo was spit on the humans. Surprisingly, it was light, and seemed to dissolved over their bodies. Bruises and cut disappeared, and even their chakra felt like it returned. The large slug spoke again. "I am Za Kuroi. I lead my kin and teach them the ways of kindness and compassion. Though you both have a ways to go, I see a glimmer of such traits within you. I come to offer you a pact with my brethren. We will come to your aid should your need it, and in return I hope that you will allow us to nurture that spark within you. What say you? Will you take the Oath of Sakuna and agree to protect all whom need you?"
