Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The group had made their decision... they were going right.

As they began, young Kei would take the forward position of the group and begin to press onward with weapon in hand. Shenlong, if he was still reading the images on the wall, would notice that they would start to change. They were crudely carved into the walls but did not seem to be necessarily rushed. They also seemed to copy a lot of the imagery from the main passageway the group had just exited from. Yet, even so, and even if the crude work seemed to perfectly mimic many of the previous drawings they had seen, it would still be clear that these were forgeries at the hand of a different artist. At this time there wouldn't be any new drawings or images that would be too drastically different, still depicting Primus, humanity, and the Ancients, but there would be one small noticeable change. Next to Primus would be a human who would be drawn slightly bigger than other imagery used for humans. Primus was always depicted as large in the drawings, growing large as the story progressed, but the rest of humanity stayed at a similar smaller scale. Was this to show the difference in the presence of Primus standing at the top of humanity or was he just legitimately huge in proportions? Either way, the commonality was that humanity was always small, similar in height, and lacking features, to further accentuate Primus. Yet, there was now another figure standing next to the image of Primus, who seemed to be growing bigger throughout the tell of Primus and gain additional features. Who was this? Did it really matter?

Venturing down the path, with the light of the flare fading the further they ventured into it, they would start to hear a sound coming from up ahead. It would be hard to fully discern what the noise was, but best guesses would fall along with the following; groans in anguish, growls in anguish, or some trick that occurred in underground passageways with sound reflecting off the walls. That said, there was still a noise coming from up ahead.

Before the group would reach whatever the source of the noise was, they would encounter another fork in the path. This time the path would either continue forward or would begin to dip down further into the ground. The path ahead, if the group used sources of light, would be more of the same of what they had been seeing in this new path. Aiming a source of light into the lower path, they would see a spiral set of stairs carved out but nothing would be on the walls. If they listened in, the sounds they were hearing would be clearly coming from the lower path. If the group remained silent and still and waited for one of the long pauses between the noise coming from the lower path, they would hear a different sound coming from the path ahead. This sound would not sound human or animal, but instead would be more of a consistent ambient noise.

Once more the group would find themselves tasked with making a choice. Continue forward in this new unknown or dip down lower into the depths of the underground?

Uzi continued on with the group, the Searchlight continuing to keep the path before them lit. It now seemed that echos of different sounds flooded the tunnels of the cave as they continued to venture deeper and deeper. The group hasn't run into any danger yet, but judging from the different groans, and inhuman sounds that began to fill Uzi's ears, he doubted that their peace would last much longer.

The drawings on the wall were no longer of Uzi's interest as he pondered on the safety of the team. He would stay close, and although they were leading the way, Uzi kept a mental note of the different passages of this underground cave. "This place seems worse than the old ruins of Suna." The underground of the old village was horrible, but seemed like a walk in the park, alongside a nice picnic compared to this place. Getting lost was the least of his worries as he listened to the sounds coming from each new path presented before them.

"Well guys, it's your decision again. If you listen closely, you can already hear what we will face depending on the path you choose." Uzi shined the light down either path, inspecting what they could see from their vintage point. He was a bit concerned about the path with the stairs. There was clearly something wrong with this path. The other path that would lead the group forward seemed to continue on with almost the same scene as the hall that they just traveled.

Decisions, decisions.

Once again, letting the team decide on what path to take.

Yuno's eyes were well adjusted to darkness, the most comfortable time for him to be awake was the dead of night while the sun was gone. So while the searchlight provided by Uziuke helped the team, Yuno attempted to peer past the light to see what awaited them further into the unknown. Unfortunately the glare made it difficult, and though he wanted to ask to remove it, he knew the rest of the group would be too blind to function without it. He could have tried moving further from the group, scout ahead, but he was too afraid to split from the party.

He slid his hand across walls, the crude carvings telling a story he did not understand. He assumed the big guy was Primus that was on the previous walls, but this new figure seemed to rival the legend in size. Did Primus have a partner? Someone wiped from history? Or a rival? A former friend? Yuno wished he had friends, even former ones that become rivals.

Yuno was pulled from his internal pity party by the strange sound of groaning. Moaning? Growling? Something was down there with them. Did it carve these figures in the wall? Is it the second large figure, or what it sees itself as? Whatever it was, it was dangerous, and can't be left alone here. When they came to the fork in the road Uziuke left the decision to the group again. This time, Yuno wanted to be a better leader, even though he expressed his desire last time it was Kei that actually lead the group down. While the path ahead seemed more the same, and still had some strange noises, the major sound was coming from the strange staircase.

"We'll go down the stairs, whatever is down there sounds too dangerous to be left alone. Or its in pain and could be friendly." He began to make his way down the flight of stairs. As he lead the group closer to the bottom, he looked back up at the searchlight. He looked back down toward the dangerous sound, and figured it would be best to take a more ninja-like stealthy approach. "I can see pretty well in pitch black darkness. I'll move on ahead a bit, the light might alert whatever it is to our presence. If I'm seen I'll run back... or scream... or both."

He moved quicker down the stairs to get away from the light. His eyes bulged out behind his mask. Maybe it was the darkness, but whatever this creature was didn't seem... right.

Sorry for the Major long wait.

"You fear to go into those mines. The Dwarves delved too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Khazad-dûm: shadow and flame."

Sunans were a far cry from mountain-dwelling dwarves, a picture that instead entered Kei's mind when he'd first learned of Kumogakure and their shinobi ranks. Yet the further this little team marched into the depths of the underground passage, and the cruder the images on the wall became that he did his uneducated best to follow, the more he began to get the sense that he was out of his depth. Uziuke-san's light from the rear provided some reassurance, but the shadows it cast before them before blending into the growing darkness caused his knuckles to go white 'round the grip of his kunai. The sound of the unknown ahead and even the echoing of their footsteps was drowned out by the quickening rhythm of his heartbeat in his ears, and the eery familiarity he was beginning to feel to the atmosphere of the Craemotaris sent beads of sweat down his neck despite the cool of the cavern. 'Am I afraid of the dark?' Kei wondered, fully in tune with his state of mind yet unable to change it.

The thing about being scared of the dark is that those who experience it aren't truly afraid of the darkness itself, but rather the possibilities it contains - what might lie within it. Unknown enemies were more fearsome than event the ugliest Jurei or foulest Unbent because they weren't bound by the shackles of reality, only those of the victim's imagination. Such as it was, the discovery that there were two distinct sources of ominous sounds left the Mugen boy uneasy. He nodded as Uziuke once more gave them the freedom of decision-making, inwardly wishing the senior member would lead how he thought best. Images of Jintou's deformed shoulder, the result of his own inaction in his first and last encounter with a do-or-die situation, flashed before him. This time though, Yuno would take the lead, volunteering his skills to descend the staircase first before they followed.

Still, the drums in the deep would fill the room of Kei's mind with a mist of anxiety. He had just pointed out moments ago that their mission was to unearth the Unbent, and Yuno's course of action seemed most likely to accomplish that goal, and Kei had no desire to undermine his authority as their Second. And yet...

"Sounds good. I'll send a clone a bit down the other way, to watch our backs... just in case. Don't want to get caught off guard from two directions."

...he couldn't not know. With a quick hand sign, a single clone of the student would appear next to him before setting off down the straight path. Without Uziuke's light source, it'd be left with the flickering shine of Kei's pocket lighter, hopefully serving to draw less attention to itself if anything lies in wait ahead. While the real Kei remained with his team, he trailed behind Yuno, not wanting to get in his way while also not wanting to let the teen go alone lest he fail him the way he'd failed Jintou; the greedy desire of a fearful teen.

-Kei creates a Basic Clone to check out the ambient noise on the straight path, while the real Kei backs Yuno up on the stairs.
-Kunai equipped (unnarmed with handseals) in a
defensive stance, prepared to Block if attacked.

The group was decisive as they would choose to meet the sounds of anguish, and in turn hopefully not find themselves in those same throes. Kei, rather resourcefully, would send a clone on its way down the other path. Turns out in some sense, you could have your cake and eat it to the further they ventured into the darkened underground. But what would each party find?

Into the Depths:
Leading the charge thanks to his affinity to the darkness, Yuno would lead the group downward. Was it bravery? Was it an obligation? Was it curiosity? Did it fully matter what led the bird mask-wearing young one to lead the charge down the stairs? Maybe. Regardless, the group would continue onward, or downward. Kei would trail behind Yuno, Shenlong would remain caught his own thoughts while traveling in the middle of the group, while Uziuke trailed them all with a watchful eye and the primary source of light. As Yuno continued to race ahead to avoid the light and remain in the darkness, he would be the first to come upon the strange scene before him.

The stairs would open up into a large open room that would have three torches lit and hanging upon the walls. This would not provide the best lighting, as large portions of the room would still be buried in darkness, it would provide images of the following: at the furthest end of the room away from the Sunan's there would be three doors, to the left side there would be an opening that looked like it had been forcefully made into the wall, on the right side there was a rather large image displayed upon the wall that was hard to make out in the poor lighting, in the center of the room would be a strange creature, and atop that strange creature would be another strange-looking creature seemingly pinning the first thing upon the ground.

Pinned to the ground would be something that some of the youth, those who had encountered creatures in the Ruins back in their village, might recognize as similar to the Unbent who had attacked them. The creature pinning the Unbent to the ground would be a strange metal-clad being, whose eyes seemed to glow and its metallic claw-like right arm was clutching the throat of the Unbent tightly. Potentially harder to see at the moment, again due to the poor lighting, would be what appeared to be mounds of strange dust, clumped and scattered, or ash that seemed to surround the two entities locked in what appeared to be combat.

"Hello..." the metallic-looking thing would say to the first Sunan to arrive on the scene. Then, without any further words, the metallic being would plunge its free hand into the chest of the Unbent, causing the creature to groan out in pain, the sound that most likely had heard earlier.

"I will be just a second..."

Is this new thing before them a friend or foe? What will our adventurers choose to do now?

To the Ambiance:

Kei's clone would continue down the long path, not encountering anything of true note. Some debris or discarded items, items that varied in age, but nothing truly worthwhile. Yet, the further they moved ahead, the louder the ambiance noise would get. Finally, the clone would reach the source of the noise; a large opening into a room that seemed to have a lowered floor. There would be no light in the room, but the sound of a chattering, shaking, moving, was happening right in front of the clone. Whatever was on the ground was moving and was large; either large in size or large in number. Again, without more light, it would be hard to tell exactly what was happening in front of the clone. Would it hop down into the room and get a closer look?

Upon making it to the room with the three torches lit, Uzi felt a bit relieved. There was likely someone down here. Possibly someone that could help. He stayed on guard, knowing that the one hidden down here wasn't necessarily an ally. Upon further inspection Uzi noticed two creatures seemingly wrestling one another near the torches. He shined his Searchlight to the middle of the room, inspecting the creatures with his eyes peeled. One of them had the upper hand, putting his hand through the chest of the other. The screech coming from the losing creature echoed, giving Uzi a slight chill.

He told the group of shinobi he would be just a sec. Uzi looked to Yuno, the one in charge of their current situation. It excited him to see the decision of a young one facing something so deadly. Whatever the case, Uzi would follow suit to Yuno's orders. "Well, it's up to you Yuno. Do we fry these guys, or try to hear them out?" Uzi glanced back to the fight between the two creatures, keeping his guard up and his focus on the group's safety.

"The choice is yours." Uzi commented, letting his Clan's famed Dojutsu study the movements of each creature. If push came to shove, he had a technique that could slow the enemy down. His eyes stayed on the two creatures. Yuno would be tested here on his decision making abilities. Uzi expected Yuno to be nervous, but Uzi saw how quickly he learned while out in the face of danger. He was sure that whatever the decision, the group would come out successful.

Yuno couldn't form words as the events unfolded before him. His body cringed when the metallic creature plunged its hand into what appeared to be an unbent. His legs couldn't move, he could barely breath. The plan to run and scream was out of the question, there's no telling how fast this creature could move. He could only nod his head as the creature stated he will be just a second. Does that mean just a second until its ready to talk, or ready to kill him? He needed to get out, but any movement could prove fatal.

He noticed the light from Uziuke's searchlight beginning to fill the room, and he could finally feel his body relax. If something were to happen, at least a stronger, more experienced shinobi was here. Yuno attempted to gain insight into the creature's speech, from what little he heard, and it sounded polite enough. However, the creature seemed to easily kill the unbent, and while Uziuke was definitely the strongest in the group, would he be enough. On top of that, seeing as the group overall is weaker than him, Uziuke would certainly be too occupied protecting them.

When given the option, Yuno decided to take a more civil approach, until he could determine a way to kill the creature, or secure and escape route. He waited a bit, to make sure the creature was done with their kill before he approached. "H-hello. I'm Y-yuno. This is my group. Well not really my group, but the group I'm travelling with. Not that I wouldn't make a group with them, I just don't know them well enough. I'd like to get to know them if they'd want but they aren't obligated to do so. Just like how you're not obligated to talk to me, not that I don't want you to talk to me, you seem nice enough. Except for the killing part, but I'm sure you had your reasons, I hear the unbent are dangerous and-" He caught himself rambling from nervousness again.

He took a deep breath and looked behind him to his group, hoping he didn't mess that up. "A-anyway. Its nice to meet you... are you from here? Whats your name?" He attempted to seem peaceful, but in his fear he reached behind his back, preparing to bend the shadows into a weapon if need be. However, his body was obviously reacting to the nerves, trembling as he attempted to communicate with the otherworldly creature.

To anyone else, the carvings and murals that were present upon the walls of the tunnel that they traversed might have just appeared as amusing artifacts left over from another age but to someone who had already spent many years of his young life studying the history of Wind Country this was a fascinating walk through history itself. Distracted to the point of complete silence as he subconsciously shut out the others in the group, Shenlong's eyes drifted from carving to carving as they recounted much of the story of humanity's independence from the rule of the Ancients. He recognized much of what was trying to be told through them but the figure beside Primus that was depicted with a similar level of importance stood out as remarkably interesting to the boy.

In no historical texts were there ever mentioned a figure of mythological importance that ventured close to that of the One King. A great deal of words were spent recanting the deeds and the histories of the First Men, the men and women which made up the earliest recorded generation of the clans of shinobi which could trace their lineage back to the fall of the Old World, but even among such important names as Sunahoshi, Ryuzaki, Masashi and Takahashi there were no men or women that rivaled the reverence that Primus was given. Not even the first Kazekage.

Lost in thought as he was, Shenlong didn't notice when the group had stopped which caused him to bump gently into the backside of their leader Uziuke and that brought him back to the present moment.

Leaning around the side of their leader, Shenlong got the best look that he could of the metallic creature and the beast that it was grappled with. He recognized the unbent creature for what it was-- descriptions of the corrupted monsters known colloquially as unbent were rampant throughout Wind Country's history. They had been a perennial threat to those living on the fringes of Wind Country's frontier but never more so than in the last few years as Shenlong had come to understand through his guardian Tenza. An involuntary chill ran down Shenlong's spine at that realization for the unbent were not known for being solitary creatures. Where there was one abomination, there were always many, many more. Pulling roughly on Uziuke's arm to attempt to acquire his attention, Shenlong would gesture at the creature which had seemingly been apprehended and destroyed by the metallic one.

"We are in considerable danger. That is an unbent and such beasts are never without more of their ilk in tow." He explained in a quiet voice that he could not seem to entirely control. There was a shakiness to his speed cadence that refused to yield to his will even though he recognized it for what it was.

He was very afraid. Any sense of wonderment or excitement at their discovery was buried under a deluge of uncontrollable adrenaline and fear that he struggled to explain or keep control of. It was as though his body were acting on it's own-- a human instinct of fight or flight that was triggered by the mournful sound of the creature's dying moments and the knowledge of what it was... or rather what it meant.

To the Ambiance...

After several minutes of travel, Kei might have been tempted to release the clone technique for lack of any interesting findings were it not for the noise that had prompted this course of action in the first place. As the ambient noise grew, so too did his nerve. Finally he'd found it, though likely aided by the protection being a clone provided to his own health. His pace quickened until coming to the place where the sound was originating, prompting his steps to a quick halt. The flicker of his lighter, warm now on his thumb, revealed relatively little; but the way the amber light danced across the living platform of the floor was enough to know he was under prepared for such a ballad.

What was left to do, then? This copy-cat Kei had been created for this purpose, after all. And you know what they say about curiosity and the cat. Carefully down into the room it would climb, holding the pitiful excuse for a light source in front of him far as it would go to see what it might reveal this chattering to be.

Into the Depths...

Doors. Rubble. Paintings. Dust.

Though his young eyes had keenly taken them all in upon arrival, the images served as little more than static noise echoing the ambience his clone was gathering - flagposts that would be recalled quickly after regaining reasoning, sorted into viable exits and unviable. This fight or flight trigger and the sole focus of his attention was the same that held Shenlong's, the other teenager's voice muffled in Kei's disoriented ears. Amber eyes darted about, from one pile of ash to another and then back to the creatures' theatrical display.

Unbent?

Jurei?

It had not escaped his imagination that it could be both; one of each. He had limited knowledge outside of street gossip and classroom remarks, and though it seemed assumed that all of the above were unintelligent, Ōmiya had spoken to them hadn't she? What was to assure him that this thing wasn't any different-

-or, perhaps, worse?

Uziuke's confidence ought to have calmed him down, but the glint of torchlight off the metallic creature's body and the way the Unbent-creature's scream bounced off the walls of the chamber were too reminscent of the pearl of her piercing howl in the dark. It was too much like it had been then. In fact, finding only a pack of Unbent likely would have left him in lighter spirits. It was the uncertainty of its attacker that held his faculties ransom. His grip on his kunai tightened until his knuckles threatened to pop through the skin. A glance at the ANBU curiously fostered anger; how could he be so calm, while Shenlong sat trembling at his right and Yuno practically offering himself up as a sacrifice? Naivety led him to wonder how he could have a healthier fear of the enemy after only a single encounter with the shinobi experience, not registering that it was likely exactly Uziuke-san's lengthier track record that allowed him such peace of mind.

Nor that this was -literally- what he'd signed up for.

Swirling emotions built into a crescendo before finally the womb broke open to give birth to action. A few heavy steps forward to bring himself beside Yuno, just behind him. He cringed at the last shriek of the Unbent, and couldn't help but look at the distorted creature almost... sympathetically. "And what exactly are you?" He shakily added onto their Second's remarks, trying to appear steadier than he was.

Doors. Rubble. Teammates. Ashes.

They'd do their best not to become the latter.

Kei's clone would slowly begin to make its way down into the pit, and would finally get a much better look at the chattering. Huddled together in a big sprawling mass that seemed to be a living singularity itself, Kei would find the quite literal swarm of The Swarm. The chattering noise would if the clone had the bravery to remain to look with their dim light cast upon the creatures, be coming from their maws restlessly snapping in their sleep. Even at rest, these things still seemed to be attempting to consume something. While the clone couldn't tell from their now disadvantageous vantage spot, they easily got the impression that this resting pit seemed to stretch much further than they could have originally imagined. Could this pit be holding all of The Swarm? If that was the case... just maybe...

Before any more thought could be taken into consideration by the clone, a screech would fill the room followed by an echoing chorus of hundreds, maybe thousands, more. Kei's clone would disperse shortly after seeing a sight that no one should have to see or remember.

"Ah! Civility... much appreciated..." the degrading abomination of organic and mechanical would say as it would slowly remove a strange glowing rock-like organ from the Unbent creature in its grasp.

"Yuno... my name was once Muto Atsushi... but that name isn't worth much anymore."

Atsushi would notice more Sunans entering the location. What appeared to be a twisted smirk would etch across its degraded face. With the rock-like organ in hand, Atsushi would slowly raise the item up to its mouth. Suddenly it would apply pressure and snap the item into crumbling pieces. A strange aura released from the combustion would quickly be inhaled by the abomination of life and science. Atsushi's body would begin to make a whirling sound as lights within his body that were dim would brighten, lights that were out would now shine once more, and his body would raise up to a standing position.

The Unbent upon the ground would no longer be subdued but its body would begin to discolor, turning grey and lifeless, as it would wither and writhe upon the ground, no longer a threat to the group.

"Their physiology truly is... odd" the thing with considerable strange physiology would say to the group.

At this time, the growing chorus of screeches would begin to start up as Kei's clone was discovered by The Swarm nest.

"Damn... we don't have time! I'm not asking you to trust me, but if you follow me we can get out of here!"

With that, Atsushi would begin to race down one of the side corridors until coming to a stairwell that would be leading up. He would press on a strange carving that would unlock a pressure-triggered lock, causing the mechanism to begin to whirl and clack.

"Sorry, one moment. Unfortunately, we are about to come upon their feed a testing ground...I've tried to escape this route before and got overwhelmed. Over time, my energy began to deplete to a level I could no longer sustain such a battle against a horde... so I decided to bide my time until a moment arose. Your group seems like a good time."

The door above them would finally open, dumping a rushing wave of sand into the stairwell momentarily. The metallic man would gesture upward.

"Hurry up, Sunans. I can stall the rushing wave if need be..."

But the Sunans would dismiss the notion as the various members of the group had their own means of defending themselves and setting up traps for any pursuers. Some would use shadows, some had a wealth of attacks at their disposal, while others would merely make their way up the steps and prepare for what lay ahead. And what did they find? Raizo and the remaining group of Sunans... along with a graveyard of bones and strange creatures.

After all the Sunans and Atsushi had exited the underground labyrinth, the bio-mechanical man would turn towards the stairwell and would create a glowing orb of chakra within his palm.

"Seems I got my ticket out, rest in hell, brothers and sisters" he would mutter before tossing the orb down the stairs. The growing sound of the approaching underground Swarm would intensify before an explosion, slightly muffled due to being underground, would ring forth. The ground would rattle and shake as the stairs would be engulfed in the sand once more.

The location they were standing on would begin to fracture and cracks and divides would appear all around them. It would seem they were no longer standing on the most solid of grounds.

"Apologies..." his tone and voice would crack and lower as the once bright shining lights strewn about his body would start to dim and fade out once more. Whatever energy he had gained previously seemed to now be depleted. "I believe it would be best if we left this area. That will only delay and piss them off... and you don't want to see the things worse than The Swarm to come out of their hiding places. We can't hold them off should they choose to pursue us."

And with that the group would start, along with the Kazekage's group, to make their way back to Suna to debrief. Uziuke would take note of the location while Kei would express having something important to tell them.

"Oh, I didn't have time to say it at the time, but I wanted to congratulate you Sunans... and please let it be officially stated that I am turning myself over to..." Atsushi would scan around before finding the shy Yuno and pointing at him, "to this one, the brave Yuno. So he should receive the reward for my capture."

The group, confused, especially Yuno, would inquire what Atsushi meant.

"Heh, I know it's hard to tell now that I am literally a shell of myself... but while my name Muto Atsushi is dead, my other name is more widely regarded amongst you, I assume. I used to go by Roku... but maybe that is confusing since you all have one of those... so instead you could call me Number 6 of the Sovereign, Daimyo Ishii's special forces for the eradication of Suna."

As Uzi was bumped into, he only gave a signal to halt with his free hand. Uzi watched as Yuno addressed the creature. It seemed they would chances with the creature for now. Uzi backed his decision 100%, pressing on his own breaks, and rather attacking, he continued to stay on the defensive to protect the group. As Shenlong pulled on Uzi's arm, his gaze shifted to the boy. He listened to his concern, but assured Shenlong that Yuno had the situation handled. "Don't worry. With Yuno leading us, we have nothing to great." The ANBU stopped his whispers and gave smirk before turning back to Yuno and the creature. Kei sounded a bit shaky as well as he added his own remark.

Uzi made sure to snapshot the creature as it fought and spoke. It was very interesting to watch to say the least. What took place next seemed to being in a science lab. Uzi made a grueling face, showing his interest, yet distaste of the scene. 'Did he just take that things essence?" Loud screeches began to echo quite loud as the action of the fight now died down. It seemed they weren't alone. "I don't like the sound of this." Uzi muttered to himself, listening as the one introduced as Atushi commented on the strange noise.

Telling the group to follow him, Atushi mentioned that he had a way out. "Keep close." Uzi said to the group. They were to act quickly. A gut feeling told Uzi that he could trust this machine to find the way out. It was either that, or deal with the things that let out that swarm sounding infection that continued to grow and echo throughout tunnels.

Making sure his unit stayed close, Uzi followed behind the machine. He made sure to watch out for traps along the way. Keeping his light in front in him, made sure the squad see their surroundings. As Atushi unlocked a hidden corridor, Uzi made sure to come back and explore the tunnels more thoroughly. Though it wasn't a trap, it sounded as if he led the group through a nesting ground.

Uzi prepared himself, alerting the group to do the same. As the hidden corridor opened, Uzi noticed the sands rush in and begin to overwhelm the opening corridor. Acting quickly, Uzi gave a huge clap, splitting the sands apart, creating a safe passageway for his group to safely enter the corridor to safety. "Hurry fellas, while you have time." He hoped he and Atushi's efforts to keep the kids safe from the sands that rushed in would be enough.

Before they rushed through, he gave a few words. More so to keep the feeling of safety and assurance upon them. "I'm going to give each of you a recommendation for a promotion. Thanks for being so cool in the face of danger," Giving a wink and a shining smile, Uzi snapped his fingers and pointed to the group, "That's what it takes to be a real shinobi. I believe you guys earned it." Uzi went to back to working on the sands. "Oi!" The white haired guardian turned back to the group. "And if you any of you are interested in the ANBU corps, ask for me personally. I'll make a fine operative out of you." Uzi now continued to aid with defending the group from the rushing sands.

After each of them way through the corridor, Uzi would move through last, taking a last look at the tunnels before moving on. The Uchiha took a breather as he made each of his group's members were accounted for. Noticing Raizo's group, he knew that they were out of the worst of the tunnels. He would give a sigh of relief as he caught a glimpse of Atushi starting an explosion with an orb. As the ground shook, Uzi stood firm, keeping his footing as the ground shook. If any of his team had stumbled, he'd grasp them, holding them up and not letting them fall.

He looked back to Atushi after making sure everyone was ok after the explosion and earthquake. The machine apologized as he lost his glow. Recommending that they make their way out of the area, Uzi nodded, beckoning his group to stay close.

Atushi relinquished himself over to Yuno. Uzi smiled, he was sure Yuno would receive a giant reward for his efforts. Atushi reintroduced himself as Roku, or, number 6 to keep it brief. 'Number 6 huh?' Uzi would need some time to relish over what Atushi said, but he was glad they didn't have to fight the beast. With that, Uzi considered the entire group's efforts successful... Or successful enough for now.

(( Great event, I look forward to the next! Congrats everyone! ))
