Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Hmmm." grunted the overly tall councilor. "It's a bit... larger than expected. Hohohoho." he said chuckling to himself.

"Are you saying we came out here for nothing?" whined Tama.

"Hohohoho. Don't be ridiculous. Never underestimate the power of the Old Mother." he replied in a rather upbeat tone. His expression did seem rather positive for discovering that the job just became that much harder. To some it might seem unsettling, to others a good sign. Really, was dependent if you were a glass half full kind of person or not. "Well come on, best not to stand around doing nothing."

The group set off from their position on the hill overlooking the valley. They had been making relatively good speed, and thankfully the dark skies didn't feel like unleashing their deluge and making the road even harder to travel on. It had been a good trek to the south of lightning, though the sun was still high in the sky on the second day of travel. At this point, it was the best case scenario so far. They had been traveling the land of the corporation for some time and were flanking the crater than rather coming from the usual more direct direction.

There grew closer and closer, and now could see the undercarriage of Kami no Yama, far into the sky. Kioku paused for a moment and took a deep breath before then looking to the crater ahead. Pain was drawn across his face. "My poor child..." he sighed, reaching down to place his hand on the ground.

The group kept their eyes peeled for any approaching dangers, and when none were surveyed, they approached the crater's edge with Kioku. Each had their own thoughts no doubt. It was larger than life, perhaps large enough to house the whole village of Kumogakure. But now was when he was going to need protecting. "Please keep me safe while I commune with the earth." he said in a humble tone before sitting his backside on the rocky terrain. His legs twisted into a complex form and his eyes closed in meditation. Hours came and went while Kioku remained motionless and noiseless, he appeared to be frozen aside from the large intakes of air that filled his chest.

As the sun waned in the sky, nothing seemed to be happening. Perhaps this was a lost cause, possibly even a waste of time. Why no patrols had even come close to where they were was a mystery, soon to be solved.

From above, a high pitched screaming could be heard by those below. While it started out very faint it grew slowly louder and louder. "Wahooooo!!!"

If any one of them had some kind of decent hearing on them, they might look up to see a lithe woman falling through the air with a big grin on her face. Following behind her was a smoke trail of some kind that appeared to be coming from a man with flaming cylinders on his back. He quickly surpassed her with speed and approached the group rapidly, diverting at the last second to land behind them and cut off a quick escape. "Hey! No fair! Why don't I get a cool entrance!?" Fuun shouted as she pulled the cord to her parachute. What followed was probably the longest and most boring entrance of them all. Her arms remained cross across her chest and her lips pouted like a childs who didn't get their way. Eventually she found her way to the ground and rejoined Ichiro with a fancy pose to make up for her lack of flare.

"Prepare for trouble!"
"And make that double..."
"To protect the world from devestation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nations..."
"To denounce the evils of truth and---!"

"Shhhh! He's meditating..." hissed Tama. Fuun looked at her maniacally. (see the picture to the right)

"You'll regret that, girly..."

Ichiro decided to avoid any other shenanigans by his partner and to cut to the chase. "Desist. You are trespassing, vacate the premises immediately. Violators will be forcibly removed."

"Any survivors will be shot dead!" she giggled.

Ichiro shot a side ways 'are you serious' glance towards her. "Why must humans be so strange."

"Will you comply?"
he asked. Something didn't seem right about him. The way his body moved, or rather, didn't move in the slightest was off putting.

Tomo looked behind him at Kioku who appeared to be off in his own world. The mission was clear. "We will not comply." he responded, his body shifting into a ready stance regarding a fight. The others took their cues and would hopefully get ready for a fight as well.

"Very well." He looked up into the sky for a moment, and then back down at the area where he was standing. "Deploy all units."

A rather anticlimactic statement after declaring violence, but that was quickly remedied by Fuun making the first act and dashing backwards, bringing out a scroll and summoning whatever was within. In this case it was three large cannons, primed for action. "Do you feel lucky, punk? Well do ya?" she said in a western accent that doesn't exist in this world. She quickly formed handseals and blew a trailed of fire out of her mouth to light the cannons short fuses.

Ichiro triggered his chakra jets to dash to the side and raised his arm. A compartment opened up and out came a canister that held a barrage of needles that are next to impossible to dodge. It soared through the air until above the enemy before finally detonating. Coming at the six were a hail of senbon from above, and three explosive cannonballs from in front of them.

"Thirty eight seconds until arrival."

I once thought I could save the world. Maybe even change it for the better. How wrong I was. The bitterness ate me alive and all that remained was a rotting corpse.

~

Do you hafta go?” A voice smaller than a feeble chick peeped. Her innocence unable to disperse the daunting stench of death and choking smoke that enveloped them. The lone wanderer refused to face the child. Her eyes set on the sight of destruction blazing before them. The corpses strewn across the horizon. Homes crumpled to ash as thick fire devoured remains of life.

What if they come back? We need you.” The stranger walked on to those words, unable to admit she was the reason the child’s village had come to see this sight. Such a heavy burden she beared. The burden that was unfounded was the heaviest. She couldn’t let go of her guilt. Even with all the solitude she granted herself, the warrior was unable to find home again. The world was better off without her. Do not pity her. It was not a sad thought, but one she had come to accept as fact. She was far too dangerous for this delicate world.

The crunch of a desolated village underneath her foot echoed across the reaches of her mind. Another sound to add to the symphony that haunted her. Just as a person would keep photos for memories, she kept the sounds. The haunting sounds that reminded her just how far she rose and fell. The creak of a rope rubbing against wood as his body swung ever so slowly, like a pendulum of a clock ticking away time. The old man’s merciless chuckle as he softly grazed her cheek on that quiet afternoon. The distinct snicker of her cold ice piercing the Raikage’s body as she took his last breath. The deafening crash of her so called lover’s body after her betrayal. The sounds that fought for control. The ones she would get lost in if she let herself listen. For the most part she ignored them, but in the quiet of the night they grew louder. Louder until they won, taking her sleep as their prize.

She hid under a dark hood, hiding her dark circles. The thundering growl of a village ablaze intermingled with the quiet chattering of her memories as she headed towards the wildland once more. The wanderer stepped into the outer perimeter of the village when she felt the tug at her back. “Please, don’t go out there. Don’t be alone again. Isn’t that why you came here in the first place?” Persistent, the fallen jounin noted as she grunted lowly. Unable to face her, she listened to the little girl’s words.

Big Sis, you were always quiet and don’t like people very much, I know. But, I watched you for the longest time because you were strong. You were someone I wanted to be when I grew up. I know, you said ‘I’m not someone you wanna be’. When you say that, you mean I don’t wanna be someone who is alone. Right? I finally get that.

So, don’t be alone either, Sis. I don’t know what you did in the past, but does that really matter? You are good. Even if you’ve done some things that aren’t. I can tell because no stranger would risk their life like you had. You protected us from the raiders for as long as possible. You never gave up. Even though we lost, it shouldn’t discourage you from trying to become someone you want to be again.

Kid,” She finally spoke, a quiet uttering. Like a voice speaking for the first time in ages, she spoke lowly and unsure of her words. “You don’t know the first thing about people. You certainly don’t know about me. Forget about me, because I’m not the person you want to look up to. You still fail to understand why I say that, and that’s why I have to leave.” She forcefully pulled away from the girl’s pleading grasp. Her frame disappeared into the cloak of smoke, leaving in her wake the destruction of a town and one less believer in her.

You can’t change a person.

~

Time rolled on in an uncountable measure. She had lost track of time since she left. What was the point of counting when you lived in a dying world? Everything she knew, everyone she loved, was gone. Be it by force or by choice, it all was gone. The things she gave up, and the things taken from her were only a distant echo of time. One she didn’t think about any longer. She had given up on her old reasons to live. So, she drifted aimless. A lone wanderer with no purpose.

As a human being, hope was important ideology. It kept everyone going. Once she lost her hope, she had lost the little of humanity she had left. She no longer believed in such things. Hope was a mistake. If you can’t fix what’s broken, you’ll go insane. Although, the warrior wasn’t sure anymore who was crazier. She once searched for a righteous cause, but as her world fell she became broken. Now it was hard to decipher who had been more insane. Those who dared to hope or humans like herself without it.

She was reduced to little else than a feared nightmare by her past self. She was the one that ran both from the living and the dead. Hunted by bandits, haunted by those she could not protect. So she existed in this hell, reduced to one instinct: survive.

One fine night, however, hope tapped on her shoulder. She was supposed to pass through the trade post just as any other time. The two men spoke in a low tone to each other, drawing no one’s attention but Haruka’s as she paid the trader for her supplies. She heard the story of the giant crater. The knowledge of her past resurfaced as she remembered the reports. Titan had claimed the land for themselves, creating a base of operations in the sky. What she had never heard before though, was the story of a man who professed he would heal the world’s scar and bring life once more to that part of Lightning country.

She need not hear another word. She knew the man. Perhaps the only man she knew in this new life. The only one who dared speak to her, despite her many attempts to shake him. He was the last person to believe in her. He had, dare she say it, hope for her. He still believed that the forgotten version of herself, the one that loved and fought for her people, existed underneath that cold shield. Time and again, the man called for her return. Time and again, she ignored his plea.

The last time he had contacted her, he spoke of such a plan to reclaim the valley. He wanted her to believe in something once again. Asked her to come see with her very eyes what hope could do for the world. What believing might do to save this land. She never replied. It was nonsense. Chattering in her ear not worth noting. Still, something inside her, as small as it may be, wanted desperately to believe in hope again.

Maybe that was why she stood at the mouth of the valley. The land of ruin stretching for miles. She walked across it. The silence sung as testament to the devastation Titan had caused the land. It was a dead land, barren in every way. Not a sight to be seen or a sound to be heard. In the silence, she heard the voices of her past. They called her name from the wasteland, urging her every way but the way she walked.

Out on the horizon, the woman saw shadows of life. At first she dismissed it as mere hallucinations, but slowly came to realize they were in fact other human beings out there. She knew exactly then who they were. Her heart skipped in mild panic. Cloud ninja, so very near after she had vowed to stay so very far from them. She held her position, merely stalking them for the time being.

She thought to turn and leave, that is, until the sky began to rain threat. Titan watch-dogs were quickly deployed before Kioku and company had spent ample time in the basin. The old man wouldn’t be much help to the ninja, most who seemed like fresh recruits, as he entered a strange trance. The loner held her ground, wondering if a sudden flee from the scene would draw attention to herself.

It was then that she heard her memories grow louder. They called with growing demand. It was an incoherent babble of every conversation she had ever held. Impossible to decipher the message, she stood immobile by the pain the voices brought. What did they want? Why now? She secured her hood over her face as it became blatantly clear what they wanted.

Don’t even think about it. No way. Not a chance. Just get the fuck outta here. She argued, shaking her head furiously as she turned away from the commotion. She saw the woman drawing her cannons to ready. Don’t get involved. Don’t get involved- But it was too late, and she was already turning back around.

Shit.” She muttered nothing else before charging forward with a flashing dash. She need not think as her muscles responded. Fighting seemed like first nature to her ever since she had sold her soul to the Aeon.

In a flourish, the hooded figure managed to run in front of the group and summon a barrier of thick ice. Its reflective surface mirrored the group and masked stranger as she braced for the impact of Fuun’s cannons. She knew she couldn’t stop both the cannons and senbon, but it would be enough to keep the group alive. She grunted, bearing against the weight of Fuun’s ammo as it slammed against the surface of her ice. It threatened to break, but held together just barely to keep them alive.

Her ice withered away, revealing the mad stranger who was crazy enough to join a fight she needn’t and the group of shinobi. A cold aura embraced the wanderer, off putting to both friend and foe. She just prayed they were ready for whatever waited at the end of their thirty eight seconds.

Everything happened so suddenly, but Ri still managed to follow the situation at hand. A couple of weirdos fell from the sky with the intent to kill, both launched an attack that should prevent them from avoiding said attack, and some stranger just stopped one of these attacks. Now, all that was left was to stop the senbon from hitting the group, and he had just the thing. Hastily making a few hand signs, Ri created a rock golem that arched over him, it would be able to block the senbon without anyone under it being harmed. The problem was, however, he miscalculated how large the group was and only made one large enough to fit about 3 people under it.

f7140.gif

"Well shit..." He muttered to himself as he viewed the size of the golem he created, "Anyone without cover of their own climb under here!" He yelled to the group as he moved the golem over to their client who had no way of guarding himself currently. This left himself wide open, but he still had a plan. Going through another set of handseals, he caused an eruption of lava to come from the ground that would hopefully melt the senbon before reaching the group. Another hope was that none of the lava would hit the group as it fell back to the ground, so he just needed them to find cover or stop the lava with something. Being in a team was a pain in the ass, Ri's leaving himself completely open to protect people he hardly even knows, and if this senbon make him bleed, he knows that Osu is in the group and last time he bled things didn't go to well..

The group made it to a large crater, one that spanned farther than even Tomo's Hawkeye view. Of course his sister complained, and Tomo nudged her with his elbow and shook his head. Now wasn't the time to whine. They were obviously here for some reason, and that reason would reveal itself soon enough. After a period of time, they were able to see land floating in the sky. Tomo couldn't stop himself from pausing to gawk. For something so large to be up there...how could it be possible? It had to be breaking some kind of rule of the world. Hearing Kioku speak, Tomo lowered his gaze back to the man. The elder gentleman took a seat on the ground, and was soon lost in meditation. Tomo gave a nod to himself. "Everyone pick a direction. The good thing about numbers is we'll have all our directions covered."

Tomo chose to look back the way the group had come. There was no particular reason, he just naturally turned in that direction. Time passed slowly, but Tomo stayed focused. Something his twin was having trouble doing. However, a sound caught Tomo's attention. At first it was quiet, and Tomo looked around to find its origin. It became apparent after a few seconds that the shout came from the sky, and the dual-haired man looked up in surprise. Two figures descended towards the Kumo ninja, one with a burning pack on his back, and a woman who was recklessly freefalling. Tomo covered his head as the wind whipped around the group due to the rocket man's landing. The female eventually used a parachute, and Tomo couldn't shake the feeling that this baby blue-haired woman reminded him of someone...

The two stood together and began to recite an opening poem. Tomo's eye twitched as it sounded awfully familiar. Oooohoohoohoo! This entrance is simply delightful! Wouldn't you say Tomo-boy? Now Tomo knew why he hated it so much. Luckily Tama interrupted, though this looked to perturb the opposing woman. The man, who seemed a bit off, ordered the group to leave. Tomo stepped forward, knowing full well they could not run from their mission. "We will not comply." Tomo reached into his hip pouch, his hand grasping his scroll. He bent his knees slightly, preparing to spring into action at a moment's notice. He had hoped not to fight, but it seemed there would be no compromising.

First the woman placed three cannons aimed straight for the group. Tomo instantly responded by producing his scroll and releasing creation of his own. A black creature the size of a small child with a purple sheep mask and huge shield came forth, and Tomo narrowed his eyes in preparation to protect from the cannons. As he did this, the blonde man shot something into the sky. "Crap." If Tomo moved his shield, the cannons would take them out. If he didn't, whatever was going to come at them from above would get him instead.

Luckily Tomo didn't have to make a choice as the air grew cold. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, and a woman rush past him. She created an ice barrier before the group. Whoever this stranger was, she was protecting them, so Tomo decided to return the favor. He jumped ahead, his shield-wielding ink creation jumping onto his shoulders. The young man held his arms up in the air like his ink companion, as if they were holding the giant shield up together. This feat might seem impressive to those that knew Tomo's lack of strength. However, he was cheating, as the shield was made of ink, and therefore was being easily held up by the Mochizuki's chakra instead. He positioned himself behind the mystery woman, and the end of his shield hovered over her head. Behind him, he'd have enough room for one more, maybe two if it was the small academy student. Tomo's shield wasn't made to protect so many.

The senbon plinked off Tomo's shield, and looking at the woman's difficulty with the cannon fire, he was glad to not be in her shoes. A sudden weight on his shield caused Tomo to buckle, but only slightly. "Senbon shouldn't be that heavy....Tama..." The young man growled his twin's name as he realized the girl had treated him like a springboard. This is why we can't do missions together. She treats me like a tool. With the senbon threat gone, Kunashi, who had taken up a position behind Tomo, jumped into action to fight the cannon woman. Tomo hopped back in response, taking a spot in the middle of the battle field. He wanted to keep his distance, but stay in a position to help intercept should either enemy attempt to make a run for Kioku. The sheep placed the shield in front of it, guarding Tomo from the front, as well as anyone between him and Kioku. With Kunashi and Tama focused on the girl, Tomo decided to focus on the other opponent. He glanced first to his remaining comrades, Rirakkusu and Osuteno, to see what their plans were. They appeared to be staying defensive for the time being, which was smart. Tomo's gaze shot to his male adversary, and he muttered to himself. "An area attack from the sky, eh? Well, two can play that game." With the sheep holding up the shield, Tomo was free to use his hands. Motioning through a set of seals, Tomo held his eyes on the man. Paper jutsu, don't fail me now! A folded piece of paper appeared over the blonde foe. It unfolded rapidly, revealing a cloud. As soon as the cloud was visible, raindrop-like spiraled paper rained down upon Tomo's target. With luck, it would do some damage.

The crater was massive. Scary massive. And it was all due to the floating rock hovering miles in the air. Kami no Yama, as he had been told, the throne of the Titan Corporation. Kunashi shook his head in disbelief. This Kioku must have been one powerful man if he were to repair this massive crater. As the man began meditating, he took up a position nearby, looking out into the crater. This gave him an opportunity to see if someone were to come from that direction, though unlikely. It also gave him a chance to take in the scenery. There was nothing else like it in the world.

After a short while, he heard a girl exclaim. But it wasn't from his direction. As it grew closer and closer Kunashi realized it was from above them, and caught the whole spectacle that unfolded. It seemed they had company. Cracking his knuckles, he prepared for the worst. When Tomo turned down their offer, as he rightfully should have, a barrage from both came flying at them, three giant cannonballs and a rain of senbon. Kunashi was preparing a gravity jutsu to stop one of the balls when a hooded figure jumped in front of them and constructed an ice wall. It appeared that they had an unknown friend. Kunashi saw Tomo form the shield and ducked in behind him. When the rain had ended, Kunashi knew it was time to strike back. As Tama took off for the girl with the cannons, he would follow directly behind her. When the gap was close enough he would emit white energy from his body and step through reality itself in a flash.
"Too slow!" The words would escape from his mouth as he took action. Now behind the girl, he grabbed ahold of her arms, placing the girl in a headlock to open her up to Tama's onslaught. He hoped she would make the most of this opportunity and finish this opponent off quickly. While holding her, Kunashi would form a handseal and begin his most powerful jutsu to date. He would use his reality-bending energies to tear apart his opponent at a microscopic level. By the end of the combination he and Tama did, she would not be very happy.

The journey had been exciting for Osuteno as he had never been outside the village walls before. The trip had been pleasant enough without any bad weather to slow them down. There were so many new sights, sounds and smells but nothing shocked him near as much as the crater did. How was such a thing even possible? Osu sat near the meditating man and stared out into the crater completely awed with it. His ears picked up on a new blood-flow a bit too late to react to as it dropped from the sky. While the woman surprised him significantly, the man bothered him a lot more, not because he was flying, but because he did not have veins carrying blood through his arms or legs or anywhere. They demanded that their group leave and Tomo turned them down, which was when Osu hopped back to protect the client. Everything quickly started becoming a blur as cannons and senbon came at them and lava, ice, a shield and a golem appeared to block. Osu slid under the golem where he began to assess the situation.

The cloaked figure appeared to be strong and it was useful to have another ally even if only for a moment. Kunashi had grappled the woman and it appeared he was setting up an attack for Tama. Osu's eyes shot towards the blond who was being bombarded by Tomo's paper storm. Osu glanced up at the sky briefly to see the reinforcements were not yet visible. Osu closed his eyes and nodded twice already forming his blood rifle in his hands as he opened his eyes and stared at the blonde. First thing first, Osu was going to see if that man had a heart. Osu gathered a droplet of blood in his palm and focused his henomantic abilities into it and shot it at the man. If it connected the droplet would seep in, seek the man's heart and have the blonde's own blood boil and corrode him from the inside... if he had a heart that is. Even if he did, it wouldn't kill him, but it would be pretty damn unpleasant to say the least. When he had given it enough time Osu whispered, "Blood Boil," and hoped to see some sort of effect, while keeping a lookout for incoming foes and guarding the client.

They were getting paid to simply watch an old man meditate over a crater. Not exactly Tama's desired mission activities. But the man called Kioku was not perturbed by either the daunting size of the task, nor Tama's incessant whining about it. Seriously, the man must have had the patience of an earthborn, or something. Tomo mentioned something about picking a direction to watch, and so she lazily stared alongside the edge of the crater. Floating island? Sounds like too much work, you could get the same amount of awe and wonder from building a mountain fortress. Cost-efficient spectacles that didn't run the risk of crashing into the ground and killing the audience were more Tama's style, but she had to admit it was impressive. She was no academic, but even Tama recognized that it was a feat few were capable of.

Suddenly, a shout came from above, Tama's eyes snapped upward and started tracking two individuals falling with style towards their location. One cool looking guy with rockets on his back, and a crazy looking girl, who floated down with a lame parachute. Just who did she think she was? Tama instantly thought of five ways her entrance could have been improved. When the oddly dressed one finally reached the ground she joined her partner and ran through an introduction shtick that reminded Tama of a certain pair of incestuous ghosts. Needless to say, she put a stop to that. It was annoying then, and annoying now. Her interruption didn't go over so well with the scantily clad one. Girly? The chuunin returned Fuun's maniacal expression with a feral grin of her own. The boy, whose movements seemed oddly stiff, demanded that the group stop what they were doing and leave the area. Tomo refused for the group. Good. Now some action! The chuunin's battle-lust began to seep out as she dropped into a fighting stance.

The blue-haired woman jumped back and started the festivities with a bang. Summoning three cannons and unleashing their payload at the group, even Tama was a little concerned about their chances. No to mention the stiff boy launched a canister that began raining countless needles from above. Tama knew she would only be able to block one or the other. The trouble was deciding which. But the choice was soon made for her. From nowhere, another individual jumped into the fray summoning a wall of ice to block the fiery explosion from Fuun's cannons. Tomo and Ri provided ample protection from the senbon, Tama ducked under the golem next to Osu, "Neat trick!" she said, watching the boy summon a weapon from blood, "Let me show you one of mine." Wind raced around the girl, shrouding her gloves and boots in a cutting gale, she gestured and a wind flowed around Ri, catching any stray senbon that may have made it past the lava, shield, and golem and deflecting them harmlessly away. After the rain of senbon had subsided, she leapt onto Tomo's shield, using it as a springboard to launch herself high into the air. "Hey girly," she called to Fuun in her own western accent that didn't exist in this universe, "if you're looking for trouble, I'll accommodate ya'," "I'm Mochizuki Tama, star performer of the Mochizuki Troupe! Get the hell off my stage!"

"DYNAMIC ENTRY! MOCHIZUKI STYLE!" Tama yelled as she rocketed downward towards the female assailant. Kunashi had slipped behind the Titan employee, locking the girl in place, He is great supporting cast! I need to recommend him to Tomo. "Hungry for more? Here's seconds!" She yelled as she chained into a flurry of kicks and punches, "And now for the grand finale!" finishing off with a charged spear-like thrust. Kunashi used a jutsu that reminded Tama of Kazuzu. So he's a teleporty space-ninja too, huh, who knew? Osu and Tomo were focusing the boy, so she concentrated on removing the girl from the equation as quickly as possible.

"Thirty eight seconds until arrival."

The camera panned out, time slowed for those behind the cinema screen watching these battle begin.

Tomo was the first to react, summoning his little ink minion wielding a sizable shield to use as defense. He had to aimed towards Fuun and her cannons, ready to block what was going to be barreling through the air at the team. Unfortunately, there were two people making an offense against the team and Ichiro sent a canister of senbon into the air to rain down upon them. "Crap." Tomo had a choice to make, senbon or cannons. Or did he?

The air soon grew cold. All of them would be able to feel it. A hooded figure blurred in front of the team and cast jutsu seemingly without the use of handseals. A thick wall of ice appeared as the cannons fuze lit the powder, fire and smoke following the bombshell being propelled out of the chamber. Each hit with great force, causing cracks deep within the ice. It seem the frontal assault had been stopped by this lone wanderer.

As Tomo moved forward with his shield to protect himself and the mysterious helper from the senbon threat, Rirakkusu took action and summoned a golem to protect Kioku and others. However, he left himself uncovered and looked to make a lava plume in attempts to melt the senbon before to ever reached the team. It wasn't soon enough... while it did melt some of the senbon, it was a half second to late and didn't prevent the first out of the canister from raining downward. He naturally rose and arm to defend himself, taking a few of them through chinks in his arm. Minor damage at best, but he was bleeding.

Tama and Osu had taken cover underneath the golem along with Kioku, who still hadn't moved from his meditation. Osu made his rifle from his own blood, to which Tama took notice and didn't find weird at all. "Neat trick!" she said. "Let me show you one of mine."

The senbon barrage was over, successfully defended aside from a few finding their way onto Rirakkusu's tender, nubile body. It was time for their counter attack.

Tama channeled the wind around herself and dashed forward, using Tomo's risen shield as a springboard to launch her attack. Kunashi could see what she had planned and used his unique abilities to warp over to Fuun and get a grapple upon her body. Unfortunately, Fuun wasn't going to have any part in getting attacked so quickly, and Tama had shown her hand. "Tch!" grunted the scantily clad women. Handseals were made, jutsu was cast, and the rest played out like it was supposed to.

Tomo had retreated to run defense of the VIP; his mind was on the mission. Osu had a plan of his own that didn't require any flashy moves or telling attacks. But both had their focus on the strange man who wasn't being attacked by the others. "An area attack from the sky, eh? Well, two can play that game." said Tomo. Meanwhile, Osu had his own plan. Unfortunately, there was no blood running through the body of Ichiro. He was a human puppet after all. But Osu would know this valuable information now.

The paper jutsu connected with it's target, but it wasn't as effective as it probably should have been. Some of the puppets clothing was shredding, and there were nicks on visible parts of his body, but no blood. Ichiro looked at Tomo with an apathetic glare. "Hull integrity at 94%. This is not a game. Your life is on the line. Fight for it." he said. It was obvious that this guy not only acting differently, but thought differently as well.

Meanwhile...

"Hey girly, if you're looking for trouble, I'll accommodate ya'," "I'm Mochizuki Tama, star performer of the Mochizuki Troupe! Get the hell off my stage!" she called. "DYNAMIC ENTRY! MOCHIZUKI STYLE!"

Tama drove through the air, Kunashi had her target locked in a grapple. Boot to the chest, Fuun grunting in pain. "Hungry for more? Here's seconds!" Tama combo-ed with another set of punches and kicks and Fuun took like a champ. Poof! A clone! Kunashi deftly dodged her final attack within mere milliseconds. Confused? Fuun had used the jutsu stunt double, replacing herself with a clone and took to the underground with IERL.

Moments later she resurfaced a couple yards with an angry look. "Why do you gotta be so goddamn anime! What idiot says their attack before doing it?" she retorted. She seemed irked, and looked up for a moment. "Oh good reinforcements have arrived!"

The sound of the metal slicing through the air produced a high pitched whistle, followed by crunched of rock and dirt as the metal beings landed with force. ProduceThere were ten of them. 4 of the tanks (Left), 4 of the Shock Troopers (Middle), and 2 of the Artillery gunners (Right).

They rose from their entry positions and looked to Ichiro for direction. The human puppet thought for a moment, replaying the scene that had occurred looking for details. "Troopers: target the one meditating. They seem to be protecting him. Tanks: provide support for the troopers. Gunners: provide fire support, with lethal force." he finished, using his chakra jets to jump backward towards the gunners. Fuun took the hint and also retreated. But then she noticed something. "Ichiro look!" she shouted, pointing towards the once mysterious stranger. The force of impact from the pawns hitting the ground produced a small force of wind that pushed the hood off of her head.

Ichiro's lenses focused on whom she was pointing at. The usually unemotional face turned worried. "Sir, we have ascertained the location of Shima Haruka, she happens to be with the trespassers."

"What!? You are telling me we have been looking for this bitch for a good year and she just shows up on our door step?"

"Yes."

"If the pawns can't handle this, you need to retreat. We aren't capable of kidnapping her if she has allies."

Ichiro and Fuun looked to each other and shrugged. They, along with the artillery models would provide long range attacks, while the shock troopers would attack within melee range.

The shock troopers blades began to circulate with chakra for extra damage. Each one paired with a tank and began to move forward at a slow pace. While Ichiro, Fuun and the other pawns would begin their assault from afar. But these were shinobi of Kumogakure. Surely this wouldn't be too much to handle.
Okay people, you know how people have said ninjas were basically god among men? This is your chance to be OP as heck and look cool doing it. Use this song while you are writing your next post.

Ri heard the whistling of metal in the wind and sighed, he better not need to go on the defensive again, he was done with that. Of course, their employer was still the one that needed to be protected, but why else would have summoned a golem? Ri gave the golem the order to curl into a ball around the VIP so that nothing could get to him, at least until the golem either disappears or dies, but that shouldn't happen. "It seems their back up finally arrived.." Ri said as he pulled whatever senbon stuck into his arm. Payback or taking away at their numbers? Sadly, it seemed the others had the two he actually wanted to fight under control, so it was up to Ri to take care of their pawns!

First things first, his own protection and looking cool. Blowing through a set of hand seals, Ri formed a molten cloak around himself, this would make sure that even if he got hit, he would still deal some damage to his opponent. Now for the actual fighting part, jumping into the air, Ri went through some more hand seals before a massive hunk of metal formed beneath him and was launched toward the shock troopers that were rushing his golem. The hunk of metal was meant to crush what shock troopers he could as he advanced into the horde of enemies that fell from the sky. As he looked back to the artillery that needed to be taken care of as well, the two leaders were assisting the gunners with their bombardment, good, it seemed luck was on his side.

Another set of hand seals were made to form a steel clone above him, which Ri grabbed by the ankles and threw toward the leaders. As it made it's way toward the ground, another geyser of lava began to form beneath the pawns which wouldn't fully erupt until after the clone was behind them. Ri quickly switched places with his clone, gaining the same speed it had as it flew toward his opponents, and drew his sword as soon as he saw how close he was to the two. His primary target was the bastard that stuck him with senbon, but he had to try and take care of both of them, so of course he'd try something. Immediately when the human puppet was within range, Ri swung his sword at his neck, hoping to decapitate him. And as he finished this swing, wether it was successful or not, he'd turn to face the woman and spit liquid metal at her.

The liquid metal would give her mercury poisoning if it hit any of her skin, and certainly wouldn't feel good if she allowed it to do so. All the attacks Ri pulled off in mid air gave him little time to readjust and land safely, so as he slammed his back into the ground, he rolled the direction he was moving and barely managed to get to his feet as he slid backwards. Sheathing his sword, he looked to all of his opponents that he attacked to see what worked and what didn't, and also at his allies to see what they were doing to assist. Hand was still on the hilt of his sword incase he had anything melee attacks that would need to be blocked, but hopefully there would be nothing that needed blocking after his onslaught.

The clone that he formed earlier now fell from the sky, slamming into one of the tanks as it disappeared. It was the first time he'd used metal jutsu since he's gotten it, but he was sure that getting hit by a solid metal clone didn't feel to great. If these guys were even human, there was only one enemy that he was almost certain was human..

Everything went according to plan. His grab on Fuun held, he channeled his chakra into her, and held her for Tama's onslaught. That is, until her spear hand. Just before Tama's hand jabbed into the girl, she dispersed into smoke. Kunashi's brain went wild.

'Shit! A clone! Oh shit!'

Kunashi immediately moved his left shoulder back and swung his left leg ninety degrees to his left. Narrowly dodging Tama's hand, Kunashi breathed a sigh of relief. That would have hurt. Maybe Tomo was right back in the hospital: Tama should not be trusted, not that this was her fault. But stabbing your hand through an opponent while your buddy has her held and announcing your attacks creates a hostile work environment for your teammates. However, this would turn out to be the least of Kunashi's worries. A sharp, metallic whistle followed by clanging resonated behind him. Kunashi turned to face the sounds, finding a total of ten more opponents had landed behind him. The senbon-raining man began barking orders, and when he was finished, Fuun called his attention to the group's hooded ally. Ichiro reported to his headset that they had found Shima Haruka. Kunashi's brow furrowed in confusion.

'Shima Haruka? Like the Raikage? What is she doing out here?'

Kunashi deemed this as a question best saved for later. They had bigger fish to fry, and if she were an ally, there is no sense in alienating a powerful friend. Kunashi dropped into a battle stance when he heard the gunfire begin. Fuun, Ichiro, and the two gunners let loose a stream of projectiles in their direction. This would not be fun to fight in. Thinking quickly, Kunashi formed a series of handseals and created a gravity well on one of the tanks' back. If it all worked as planned, some of the projectiles shot at his team would be redirected to his back. Next, Kunashi began his assault. He began running, bobbing and weaving while simultaneously overcharging his reality-warping energy. This would distort his image and create after-images around him. This, combined with the bobbing and weaving, would make him very difficult to discern, let alone hit. While running, he drew two kunai and enveloped them in kinetic chakra. By this time, he reached one of the tank-and-trooper pairs in the front. He quickly jumped, launching himself off the top of the big slow tank's head. He threw a kunai at each gunner, intentionally missing their heads. He then warped reality around him, disappearing into thin air. He reappeared behind the rightmost gunner, just as the kunai was flying by, he called it to his hand using his kinetic chakra that had it enveloped. Plunging the kunai toward the gunner's throat with his right hand. If it connected, he would let it stick out from the brute's bleeding throat and turn his attention to the other kunai that was still flying. He extended his left arm, commanding the kunai with his technique. He reversed it's direction and drove it directly at the gunner's spine from a distance with a hard movement from his arm. Using the momentum of his left arm being thrown downward, Kunashi jumped in the air, and began spinning counterclockwise. Utilizing his reality bending energies once more, he formed a mace-like weapon out of energy itself. Using the momentum of the spin combined with the force of gravity, Kunashi aimed the bludgeon at Ichiro's head. Maybe if stabbing him didn't work, crushing him would. At the end of his onslaught, Kunashi would jump backward from the enemies, placing them between his group and himself. If he were needed by his team, he could easily warp back to them in a moment's notice.

Osu looked nervously at the troops who were making it through the barrage. Nervous because of what he could not hear. He shouted to the others, "The woman is the only one who has blood! It will take pure force to bring the others down!" To be quite honest, this was the absolute worst match up for him with his set of abilities. The only one his most powerful techniques would work on was the woman but there were too many crowding around her. Aside from that there were two shock troopers heading straight for him and the golem-encased client behind him. They towered over him and as time seemed to slow he knew what he needed to do. He began thinking he was lucky these were not humans, because he would have felt guilty for doing this otherwise. He cast a genjutsu that convinced the one under it that they were bleeding, not on them, that would be useless, but on himself.

The eight-year-old dropped his rifle and ceased moving, simply looking down at the ground without showing his face. The troopers were seconds away. A noise started coming from Osu, one he had never really heard from himself either... he was laughing. They raised their blades in the last few steps and something sprung from Osu's back. Great crimson wings that greatly resembled a raven's had sprouted forth from Osu's back and he lifted his face showing an insane smile has he cackled with delight at these pathetic beings rushing to their doom, his solid crimson eyes bleeding down his face.. The wings were heavy, too heavy for flight, but these wings had another purpose.

The metal beings had shown no reaction and simply went in for the kill as Osu gave his wings a great flap towards them. Dozens of crimson feathers shot forward, made of blood that had been hardened and were sharp as steel, tearing through the decorations that had forgotten their place. He kept flapping his projectile covered wings as he formed handsigns.

"Blood Style: Sanguine Twin Fang!"

Great tendrils of blood poured forth from his body as if he had an unlimited store of it. They began rapidly spinning and formed drill like shapes that began piercing through the metal toys that dared to raise their hands against him. He pointed at the remaining enemies.

"Come! Rust and rot at my feet you bloodless toys! You are unfit to even stand as ornaments in the halls of the Chigokai!"

Osu's self inflicted genjutsu half out of time and likely so was this... eccentric side of his. Later on he was bound to be mortified by the embarrassing and haughty things he had yelled in front of the others, but for now he stood with a foot on his prey's head, waiting for a few moments to see if any of the creatures would come to his challenge before he rushed forward himself to take on those that remained from his companions' assault.

Tama laughed raucously as the Fuun she was pummeling poofed into a clone, Kunashi narrowly dodging the hand that thrust through the double.

Fuun irritably commented on the anime-ness of Tama's telegraphed taijutsu torrent. Tama responded with a derisive snort, "It's only natural for the heroine to shout her special moves! Besides, if you died too quickly this wouldn't be fun. Y'know, five-on-two and all...," Tama trailed off as the loud whump from the pawns hitting the ground was heard. "Oooookay then. Fair 'nuff, now I'll get serious too." As Tama spoke her braid unwound as her hair shifted colors from purple and black to a bright gold.

She heard Fuun mention something about finding a Shima Haruka, she glanced back to see the visage of their missing kage. Now Tama wasn't big on politics, but even she had heard about her sudden rise to power after Shin's untimely passing, and her just as sudden disappearance, leaving a void in Cloud's leadership. Not that she particularly cared one way or the other. And apparently, she was being hunted by these guys. What, so now there's two VIPs? Well, at least one of them isn't defenselessly meditating, so that makes this a little easier. Tama saw Ri dash forward, leaving lava in his wake, hoping to slow the advance of the metal monstrosities. The boy tried to single-handedly take on both Fuun and Ichiro, aiming a sword at the reinforced body of the human puppet and spitting metal at the rogue shinobi. Kunashi performed a neat trick with gravity to change the targets of Fuun and the gunner pawns' attacks. Tama again signaled for a steady gale to help guide the missiles towards Kunashi's gravity well.

Placing a hand on Kunashi's back, Tama replicated the Seikon's ability to freely blink about the battlefield and temporarily grafted it to herself before he began his assault. It wouldn't prevent him from using that particular ability, merely allowing Tama to blink around as well. "Imma borrow this for a bit, Blinky, 'kay thanks." Finished, she blinked over to her twin, "Hey Tomo! Hit me with your best shot! Fire away!" Her brother, understandably confused, complied and shot Tama with a few of his most powerful lightning attacks, after first coating her in ink to increase the conductivity of the energy. A small rune on Tama's left hand glowed and absorbed the lightning. "Charging complete!"

Osu then yelled that only Fuun seemed to have any sort of blood in her body. Tama realized that Ri and Kunashi might be in a bit of a pinch, if that was the case. Osuteno then went blood-zerk, which greatly amused the Mochizuki star performer. Feeling confident that OsuMan, Tomo, and Shima-sama could hold their own against the remaining pawns, Tama decided to back up Ri and Kunashi. The chuunin wrapped a barrier of wind around herself before vanishing, stepping through reality as Kunashi had done earlier, reappearing right in front of Fuun after Ri had spit molten metal at her and as Kunashi was attempting to strike . The chuunin locked eyes with her chaotic counterpart. "Stay put, and enjoy the show." Tama's eyes pulsed with chakra and if successful, a red symbol would shine upon the girl's brow and she would follow Tama's instructions. In the next moment, Tama ran through a few handseals, and winked at the woman. If Tama's second mind manipulation worked, Fuun would feel slightly off, as if her timing was being fiddled with, rendering reflexive actions useless. "And now dodge this," Tama made a handseal, and a violent updraft whirled around Fuun and two of the gunner pawns, threatening to draw them into the sky. And if any were pulled skyward, Tama planned to unleash the wrath of heaven upon them. Meteor-sized beams of photon chakra would shoot into the funnel, creating a momentary tornado of light before smashing those caught within it to the ground. "How'd you like Tama's Whirlwind of Heavenly Punishment?" She made a triumphant pose, keeping the blinking ability she had borrowed from Kunashi on hand in case she needed to dodge any counterattacks.

Tomo clicked his tongue at the response of Ichiro. This man's speech was just as peculiar as the rest of him. Tomo's gaze held on the blonde, and he could see the unnatural gleam of Ichiro's eyes. Whoever this foe was, he wasn't human. This belief was further supported by Osuteno's words, and Tomo's brows furrowed in concentration.

The reinforcements arrived, crashing to the ground with a great amount of force. It was enough to cause Tomo's body to shiver slightly. The armored platoon took positions and Tomo analyzed them from behind his shield. The young man had not seen such armor, and his eyes searched frantically for a weakness, but he was having trouble. Rirakkusu and Kunashi were the first to rush forward, spraying lava, warping, whipping metal and kunai around. Tomo sighed at their brash behavior, but he wasn't going to play nanny. Instead, he decided to strengthen their defenses. Ducking behind his shield to fully cover himself, he went through a group of hand seals. Three Ink Clones popped into existence. They, along with the real Tomo, sprang out from behind the shield, two on each side. They hopped around, switching with one another as if they were trying to confuse the enemy. However, they were truly only a front. Tomo was placing a line of ink seals, in preparation of any enemy who may draw too close. With a seal on each side of the shield, should any enemy attempt to pass the safeguard, it would trigger Tomo's Black Tsunami.

With the line literally drawn, Tomo returned to his shield, only for Tama to blink next to him. "Raiden's breath!" Tomo staggered away from his twin in surprise. He cocked an eyebrow at his sister's request, but did as she sing-songly asked. Something about getting to shoot his obnoxious sibling seemed oddly satisfying. Any clones that remained of Tomo were ordered to splatter themselves onto Tama, getting her body nice and ready for what was to come. With a few hand seals done, Tomo held his palms out at his sister. A large Gigavolt Cannon was shot at Tama, but instead of harming the girl, she was apparently absorbing it. Claiming her charge was complete, Tama blinked away as suddenly Osuteno entered some sort of blood rage. Tomo's face twitched as the child, along with the other youth of the group, were fighting on the front lines. "Raiden's fundoshi! All of you are crazy!!!" Tomo believed the metal squad was handled by the young ones, and that the blue-haired chick would get what was coming to her by Tama's hand. So the dual-haired man turned his eye on Ichiro. Though Rirakkusu and Kunashi put there all into attacking the blonde, Tomo feared it wouldn't be enough. His paper had done little to harm the thing, so Tomo needed a different plan.

His eyes scanned Ichiro, looking for a weakness to exploit. His eyelids lifted as he recalled the jet pack. The adversary's words sounded in Tomo's head. His life was on the line...fight for it. Tomo went through hand seal upon hand seal, prepping for what would probably be his most powerful jutsu to date. Once completed, a Lightning Beast was summoned forth. However, this was no ordinary one. The body was that of paper, its claws and fangs like Paper Blades. Electricity coursed throughout its body, amplified by the Ink Blots hovering over it. The creature bound into battle, Wind Releasing with every step. Tomo's hand sparked as he directed the beast towards his target, the blonde's back. The Mochizuki male was attempting to overcharge the jet pack with electricity, or at least damage it, and with any luck would cause it to blow up. It was a long shot, but it was the best option. Hopefully this wouldn't harm Kunashi and Rirakkusu in the process.

This was more fighting than she cared for today. It was too late though, she already interferred. Why did she always get into such messes? She groaned to herself as the rain of senbons were incoming. This was gonna hurt. She braced for impact but found that none stung her. When she looked back, Haruka saw her saviour and his giant shield gleaming in the wasteland sunlight. "Thanks." She grunted lowly to disguise her voice. Although it wouldn't be necessary soon...

"Don't worry about the old man, I'll protect him." She instructed the group, finding her way quickly towards Kioku to guard him with her ice shield if necessary. Under the hood, she grimaced. That crazy bitch's cannons packed a powerful damn punch. One she had felt in her gut when they crashed into the side of her ice wall. She guessed this was the draw back to immeasurable power. Her ice became stronger, but it also became a part of her. As if it was alive, sometimes she felt the screaming echo of its pain.

She took a glance back towards Kioku, muttering her discontent in a low whisper, "you picked the perfect time to zone out, old man. Hurry up and wake up, will you? I don't feel like baby sitting you and these kids forever." Although, she should have been paying more attention to the battle, it wasn't entirely necessary. She greatly outranked them all in power. However, it didn't excuse her from keeping watch. That was why her hood fell over in a gust of wind, revealing her true face to them all.

At first glance, it was hard to recognize her as Shima Haruka, Raikage of Cloud, but there was no mistaking it after further analyzes. She was worn down in the eyes. A sort of desperation and hopelessness glinting in the cold dark brown color. She never was one for smiling, but even this stoic face told much more about the hardship she had seen than her previous. But she cared not how she appeared to them, Haruka only seemed to care that the Titan goons were interested in her. She visibly flexed her body as if ready to participate in combat, should they be foolish enough to take her on.

The dust finally settled and the threat loomed before them. The pawns moved forward with goal in mind, to attack the man with at least 3 forms of defense surrounding him whilst the artillery unit began their assault. Kunashi was right; it wasn't going to be fun in the slightest. New projectiles of all kinds began to whiz past their heads and into the ground around them. While it might have seemed like chaos from outside of the battle, it was almost a thing of beauty how everything seemed to dance about each other. Haruka was the first to move and speak. "Don't worry about the old man, I'll protect him."

The group seemed to form into two different sub groups. One that focused on offense, and the other on the mission at hand: defending Kioku until he finished whatever he was doing. Perhaps some thought that protecting some guy meditating was a dumb mission, after all, their lives were on the line now. Those choosing the defend the asset made it clear they were doing so. While his comrades began to engage the enemy, he got busy setting up defense around his shield minion. Ink clones formed, he stepped out among them to prepare a line of traps for any of the shock/tank duos who got past the allies ahead of him. At that point, the 4 pairs were still lumbering towards him though at a cautious pace.

Meanwhile, Osuteno announced to his allies that these things weren't human at all, not even the man who did appear to be. A likely aide in the fight depending on what his partners might do depending on that information. But being so young didn't mean he wasn't going to be an effective fighter. No, Osuteno had plans. It just meant calling on a darker more sadistic power. He convinced himself that he was bleeding which arose from somewhere within him a power unlike before. His rifle fell to the ground as the troopers approached him. His laughter and near insane attitude caused no hesitation in the machinations. His eyes bled, and the dripping of his wings stained the ground red. "Blood Style: Sanguine Twin Fang!" With a beat of his wings, he sent out hard forms of the sanguine liquid which began to drill into the metal of the pawns. He kept up the assault and quickly nearly stopped two of the pairs in their tracks, unable to press forward to their target. "Come! Rust and rot at my feet you bloodless toys! You are unfit to even stand as ornaments in the halls of the Chigokai!" His words would be cause for concern, but they were in the middle of a fight and there was no time to criticize. What he did had worked in stopping the advance of the four metal beings, but not much else.

Elsewhere on the field of battle, Tama, Kunashi, and Rirakkusu also began their assault. Kunashi and Tama both focused on helping their allies against the rain of artillery fire with the use of gravity and wind. Tama quickly borrowed some power from Kunashi before quickly retreating behind her twins shield to prepare for some extravagant attack no doubt. But it was Kunashi and Rirakkusu who really got going and looked to take the fight to the enemy. Tomo couldn't help but exclaim: "Raiden's fundoshi! All of you are crazy!!!"

Rirakkusu formed a molten cloak around himself for protection before recklessly heading into a literally barrage of bullets and cannon fire. Thankfully, both Tama and Kunashi had taken care of most of that problem. With the forces of nature acting upon the projectiles heading towards the back of one of the tank, the pounds of metal and explosives found their way embedded into the central chamber of the pawn and subsequently cause quite a potent explosion, even setting it's trooper companion off balance for just a few crucial moments. This gave Rirakkusu's metal jutsu a chance to perform to expectation and practically buried the sword wielding enemy underneath a heavy chunk of metal. Unfortunately, the other pairs tank was fast enough to shield it's ally from the attack and they continued to move forward.

One pair down, three to go. "You picked the perfect time to zone out, old man. Hurry up and wake up, will you? I don't feel like baby sitting you and these kids forever."

Rirakkusu was now flying in the air, molten lava rumbling beneath the earth, the air growing hot above it. "Shift!" ordered Ichiro, looking towards the ground and then back up to his enemy flying towards him. He deftly dodged out of the way with the use of his chakra jets, however, it was now him and a pawn on one side of where the lava was erupting, and Fuun and the other on the opposite side. They had been separated. Whether this was good or bad was yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, Kunashi began warping around the field like broken ass Ekko from League of Legends®. He left several images of himself across the short span of earth they were fighting on to confuse the enemy before jumping into action. He disappeared from sight and reappeared behind one of the gunners, sinking one of the energy infused Kunai into the neck of being, cutting off vital ocular information and causing it's aim to go wide and fire across the field with abandon. Kunashi reached out for his other kunai to follow up the attack, but with the molten lava in the way from his comrades attack, it was made impossible. Instead he shifted focus towards Ichiro who had just barely dodged Shita-san's attack from just before. This guy wasn't just going to get away this time.

Strike 2, swing and a miss! Ichiro ducked his head out of the way of the energy mace. Luckily this action diverted the attention away from Tomo who had a plan of his own. One that was not so easy to dodge as simple melee attacks. As the lightning beast strode along the ground in it's unique papery form, Tama who was preparing her own super jutsu to attack with. "Stay put, and enjoy the show." Fuun's eyes met with the annoyance of a woman who had announced her hand last time. "And now dodge this," Would she make the same mistake again twice? No. Thanks to Rirakkusu's quick thinking to apply mercury poison, Fuun was left helpless to Tama's suggestions of the mind. She was helpless in front of the onslaught of a jutsu combination sent her way. Ichiro looked over to her with concern. There were reasons she wasn't Keima rank just yet.

"How'd you like Tama's Whirlwind of Heavenly Punishment?"

Fuun and her gunner companion were tossed into the air by the force of the wind. Only to be struck back down by the wave of light from the heavens above. Fuun fell to the ground, her face towards Tama with a grin on her face. "Now your learning..." she grunted, referring to how Tama announced her move AFTER using it. Unbeknownst to the group before her though, Fuun wasn't an ordinary soldier. She was a former shinobi herself, and such her body had been trained to withstand some amount of ninjutsu. She slowly crawled to her hands and knees. "But don't count me out just yet... I ain't as feeble as these tin cans." she sneered, kicking the disabled gunner once she got to her feet.

The spectacle had taken the attention of most on the field of battle. Tomo's Raikou bounded through the wreckage of an area and hone in on it's target. Ichirou took notice late and rose a hand to defend himself from whatever attack was about to be unleashed...

The human puppets body seemed scarred, and he seemed almost confused. "Power at 417% capacity." he commented. His body practically glowed with excess energy. "I believe thanks are customary in receiving a gift in human culture." he said, raising one of his arms. From out of his sleeve, his arm began to morph and change into what looked like some kind of cannon. He took steady aim towards Kioku who was meditating. This wasn't going to be any ordinary attack. Tomo, Haruka, and the Golem all shifted to defend him at any cost. That is until one of the tank pawns gave it's life to discharge the ink traps that had been placed, giving an open field for the shock trooper to charge. With chakra blade held higher it rushed toward Haruka and the Golem. The ice cold queen of the Haku side stepped and put herself in between the inhuman creation and the old man. Palisades of ice were summoned from thin air and impaled themselves into the assailant, one directly through the core in the middle. What appeared to be a soul escaped from the body and disappeared into thin air...

With defense in the way, Ichiro moved to plan B. He needed a new target, one that was defenseless. His eyes shifted to Rirakkusu who was no behind enemy lines. He was surely able to defend from a melee attack, but his reckless maneuvering left him open to a wide open shot. Ichiro took aim. Had they been too careless in protecting one man to forget to protect each other? Was this perhaps the purpose of a shinobi, to die on the battlefield?

"There will be no death today."

The earth began to quake beneath their feet. Ichirou lost his footing and with that a clear shot at his target; not only him but nearly all of them seemed to find some lack of balance. This was no minor quake. Fresh earth and water began to flow up from beneath the crater and began to fill in the massive depression left in the earth with great magnitude. It all seemed to mix together in a flurry of motions until it was filled to the brim. Sunlight, much like the like of Tama's jutsu, beamed down upon the land and instantly across hundreds of acres green leaves began to sprout, trees began to form, and nature began to reclaim what was taken from it.

In the midst of this act of wonder, it was apparent to Ichiro that they were severely outmatched by the shinobi of Kumogakure. He quickly dashed forward to retrieve Fuun and his thrusters ignited with all the extra power provided to him by Tama. With little but a smoke trail left behind him, Ichiro exploded upwards into the air. There was no way he would receive the necessary lift to reach the island, but he could make his way to a stronghold nearby.

Kioku finally opened his eyes and turned to look at what had happened while he was off in his merry land. To his surprise he found Haruka right beside him along with a golem of sorts. He reached his hand out to the golem with a smile and touched it's face. It crumbled into the earth that it was made from. "Haruka-sama! Fancy seeing you here! I had no idea that you were in the area." he said, an obviously lie.

Turning to look at the rest of what had happened, he was rather surprised. Osuteno was still consumed in his assault on the remaining pawns, in the stale mate that he was maintaining. Kioku's face turned to concern as he walked over to the young man. With a wave of his hand, Kioku practically willed the metal of the pawns to come apart at the seams and fall to the earth, the cores inside left intact. But his goal seemed different. The elder man who's own aura radiated peace approached Osuteno with worry. He placed a thumb on the boys forward, closed his eyes and said a prayer. In the mind of Osuteno appeared a lake of very turbulent water. From the sky above a single rain drop hit the waters below and the waves ceased. "Peace my son. This power does not consume you."

After his moment with Osu, he turned his attention to Tomo and Tama. "I hope I didn't miss too much. Communing with the Goddess is a time consuming ordeal. I apologize if I caused you any trouble." he said in a cheeky tone, following with a wide smile. "I believe I have done what she was willed. Unless any of you have something you want to do here, I believe we can leave the area before any more trouble arrives. I'm sure the higher ups will want some kind of debrief."

[Feel free to RP and exit post if that's what your character would do. If you would be the crazy foos who chase after Ichiro and Fuun then that's cool too. Play it ICly]

Osuteno was having a hell of a good time, pity that these creatures had no blood for him to claim. The academy student was rather violently fighting with the remaining troopers but for some reason they just sort of fell apart. It was rather confusing to be honest and in the brief moment he stared surprised at the cores he heard someone right behind him but had been too slow to react. Next thing he knew his genjutsu was broken. "What are you on... about... with this..." Osu had begun yelling at the man but his excited eyes shifted back to there normal empty look and his animated facial features became stoic. He suddenly remembered he had yelled some REALLY embarrassing things in front of... was that the missing Raikage?!? And that laugh he had been doing... Osuteno calmly took his scarf and completely wrapped it around his quickly reddening face, giving him a sort of mummified look. "I-i-if anyone got injured I can do some minor healing and first aid!" He said loudly to get through the muffling effect from his scarf.

It was obvious that while he had been holding off the metal beings the rest of the fighting had concluded. And everyone had probably had a chance to observe such an embarrassing display, enough so that the client seemed to be showing some concern for him. He pulled his scarf tighter. If anyone asked, Osu would perform basic healing jutsus. He would also answer any questions asked directly of him but otherwise he would likely spend the entire trip back muttering apologies for his behavior unless someone really pushed to speak with him. Even though they would not be able to see most of his face through the cloth it would be easy to tell he was mortified.

So their VIP wasn't as useless as Ri had thought he would be, seeing how he caused such a massive crater to disappear by creating an entire freakin forest to take it's place. And then the enemies that were so confident in their ability to take the squad down were now running away. Ri didn't actually feel like chasing them, but he also didn't feel like letting the pair get away. Pulling his bow out, he knocked an arrow and took careful aim at the robot. His aim was to take out the thing's thrusters and send them plummeting into the earth. Upon release, he turned around and joined the rest of the group to go home, without caring about whether the arrow hit it's mark or not.

Seeing that Osu was embarrassed at his impressive display, Ri quickly took action to release him from his shell. Though he didn't actually decide to "quickly" do it until they had been walking for a while and he started to pay attention. Running up behind him, he'd try to pick him up and remove the scarf. Even if it was more of a mean move than anything, it would be entertaining for him, and the walk was to boring to do nothing, so even an argument could help.

Besides Osu, Ri would try and avoid the rest of his squad. Not that he didn't like them, just that he'd find it to be a hassle to have to try and get to know others. The only one he knew well enough to talk to in the group was Osu, since he was the crazy grenade that just needed the pin pulled in order to go boom.

Tomo's focus remained on his target. His attack was a success, and Tomo couldn't stop himself from grinning with pride. However, it quickly morphed to concern as Ichiro began to glow. Though he seemed slightly damaged from the physical aspect of Tomo's assault, the electricity had somehow powered the man. Tomo scoffed. No, this wasn't a man. He was some sort of...mechanical thing. He made a mental note to mention this upon his return. Blonde non-human plus electricity equals bad. Tomo stood strong behind his ink shield, his mind and body ready to hold off whatever was going to shoot from that cannon.

The young man growled as a tank took out his trap. He had been expecting them all to come at one, not one at a time. He watched as a trooper passed by, heading for Haruka. He prayed to Raiden that the woman would be able to hold off the assault, as Tomo knew that Ichiro's attack had to be blocked, at all costs. The temperature cooled, and Tomo could hear sounds from behind. The crash of metal armor falling to the ground told the Mochizuki that the woman was triumphant.

Tomo's eyes widened as he observed the puppet man shift. Another grunt came from the dual-haired man. He couldn't stop the attack. If he moved, it would lower their charge's defenses. If he stayed, Rirakkusu would perish. Would Tomo blame himself for this death? Would he blame Rirakkusu for his careless actions? These thoughts floated through the Mochizuki's mind. However, the young man had no reason to worry. A voice from behind him stated that death would not be present today. An earthquake shook the land, and Tomo fell to one knee. Tomo-boy... Haruki's voice caused Tomo to turn around. The barren crater began to flourish. Tomo rubbed his eyes a moment before realizing that this was no Genjutsu. This was truly happening.

Remembering the enemy was still here, Tomo shot his gaze back to the blonde foe. The puppet had used the distraction to grab the blue-haired woman and fly off. The eldest Genin sighed in relief. He didn't much like fighting, so he was glad to see them go. He had no reason to believe any of them would benefit from following the two. In fact, it would be downright moronic, which is why Tomo glanced towards his sister. He could see the fire in her eyes and frowned. Pulling the ink from the tank Tomo had taken out, the male Mochizuki created an ink tendril connected to the palm of his hand. The other end shot at Tama from behind, wrapping around her body.

Seeing Kioku addressing him and his twin, Tomo gave a bow. "You certainly returned at a most favorable time, so it would be rude to hold it against you." The young man gave Kioku a faint smile, showing his appreciation. Tomo now had the time to gaze at the woman who'd helped rescue them. Tomo didn't actually know who she was. He had missed her name, and he had never laid eyes upon her when she had been the Raikage. So he simply gave her a respectful bow and a word of thanks, completely unaware of who he was truly addressing. With his twin still bound, Tomo dragged her along behind him, to ensure she didn't get in over her head and rush off to finish the battle. Tomo's bad habit of speaking his thoughts aloud surfaced as they strolled back to the village. "Not bad. But boy are kids these days reckless. Strong...but reckless." Tomo participated in small talk when it arose, but nothing more than that. It took most of his concentration to prevent his twin from being an idiot.

Tama crouched, wind curling 'round her feet as she prepared to leap out of the inevitable blast, but it never came. Instead the ground buckled beneath her, plants burst to life around her, and light cascaded down upon her. Surprised, Tama turned to look behind her and saw Kioku, now fully alert, and behind him an immense forest where a crater once stood.

"Now that's some miracle grow-th," the chuunin quipped before hearing Ichiro start to react. She whipped around only to find the pair of ne'er-do-wells blasting off again. "Hey!" she yelled, "Get back here! We're not finished yet!" Tama made to chase after them when an ink tendril slithered its way around her midsection. "Oh come on, Tomo! They're gettin' away!" She looked at Osuteno. Maybe he was still raring for battle. But Kioku had gotten to him first, calming the boy's blood-rage. "Tch," she glanced at Rirakkusu. The boy nocked an arrow as a parting shot, but Tama saw he quickly turned away, seemingly not interested in the result of his final attack. She sighed and relaxed, her hair re-braiding itself and returning to its usual dual-colored state. "Fine, fine. You can let go of me now, Tomo. They're already gone." The chuunin grumbled to herself as the group turned back to Kumogakure. But Tomo simply dragged her along, not trusting his twin and with good reason too.

Kioku seemed to be in good spirits, despite the stalemate that had ensued, "Sir, a bit of exercise is no trouble at all. What's more troublesome, is that some people don't want to finish what they start." Tama wished more things would drop in on them, she still had pent up energy from the brief skirmish with Titan's operatives, and wanted to punch something into oblivion. But she supposed that would come eventually, but it would come. And Tama couldn't wait to smash that stupid smile off Fuun's face the next time they met.

His assault was successful for the most part, though Ri's overly extravagant jutsu caused him to lose control of his second kunai. As he jumped backward, he saw Ichiro absorb a bolt of lightining from Tomo's creation and begin glowing. This could be bad. He took aim at Kioku, but with the ice queen and Tomo in the way, his shot would be pointless. He watched as the puppet acquired a new target: Rirakkusu. Kunashi was about to take action to try and defend his teammate when there was a tremor that shook the world. Kunashi looked at Kioku to see he was now standing, and in the place of the enormous crater was a newly forming forest. Fueled by divine will, the forest sprouted in the matter of minutes, creating a beautiful scene in the place of the scar that Titan had left behind.

Looking back toward the enemy, Kunashi watched as the pair took flight, using the energy he had absorbed to expedite his escape. It seemed as if the fight was over. Kunashi rejoined his team as Kioku cancelled whatever technique Osuteno was under. He walked with his team back, making necessary small talk and unwinding from his mission. He glanced at Kioku-dono numerous times on the way back. Kunashi was awestruck by the man's power, and made it a point to set up a meeting with him in the near future.
