Physical Description:
Neko has always been on the smaller side of things. She was quick to spout up, but has always had trouble keeping on any form of weight to her. She stands roughly at just shy of five feet with her weight being around sixty pounds. They are fairly pale for living in the sands, and are known to catch a sunburn from time to time due to this. They have many scars on their body for being their age, as they have often found themselves on the losing end of scraps. Notably a massive scar on her face from her Genin exam, one she wears with pride. Their eyes are a pale green that tends to pop out from behind the short curtain of silky black hair on their head. They can often be found to have some sort of dirt marks or dust on them.
Mental Description:
Neko is a kind hearted girl, with big ambitions. She is a quick learner, for better or worse. She tends to remain quiet in all social events, preferring to listen rather than speak. However, this changes drastically in any place that calls for either intelligence or if she believes there has been a misjustice. Being a dreamer, she tends to think of people as inherently good hearted and is known to stand up for those who have been wronged. While not physically proficient, she is not one to shy away from a fight either. Though if it is a conversation to be had she's as timid as can be, especially if it has to do with anything personal.
History:
Neko grew up having very little, and everything to gain. When she was around the age of five, her mother who had raised her up until that point passed away from a sickness. She bounced from orphanage to orphanage, as her dad was a mystery to her and could not be contacted. She tried her best to stay positive throughout all this, making friends and studying hard in general classes. However, around her tenth birthday she was kicked out of the most recent orphanage for another fight. While she swears it was only to defend her friend, the administrators would have none of it. She had been on the streets for a little while, still attending classes but seemingly less interested than before. That was when she decided that she wanted to make a change, a difference, and so she signed up for the academy. Now, she's looking to learn about how she can change the world around her for the better.
She spent her time at the academy learning under a variety of teachers. Most notably she took lessons in a more practical sense from Chikamatsu Shin in the classroom and a few life lessons from the missing ninja Kureji during his time in Suna. After the basic classes she had managed to leave for her exams only truly making one friend, Santaru Kazuma. Outside from that she was a pretty isolated child, still sleeping on the streets and getting into fights in the alley ways. She was desperate to prove herself, but after a course with Chikamatsu Kohana she learned she truly was no keeping up. This sat heavily on her for quite some time, even into her Genin Exams. Once left in the Diamond Ocean by Shin Sensei, Kazuma and Neko found themselves having a far more shortened trip than they had prepared for. The first evening of the exam, they were attack by a giant sand viper which focus on Neko given her stature. She survived the encounter only barely thanks to the help of her friend and their mentor. She is reminded of the event by the scars now present on her face.
Neko graduated and went straight to work, working quietly at the school for quite some time, where she met Sumire. She was a little older than Neko, and made an incredible first impression. After learning about Neko's living situation one day during some fun down time, she immediately spokt to her parents about it. Neko was quickly welcomed into the home, and eventually even adopted by the parents of her now best friend. The pair became sisters, and were inseparable for some time. However, as her older sister got more proficient in the ways of the shinobi, Neko fell behind once again. She was still far too in her own way to keep up and she watched as her sister became Jounin, while she was of course happy for her the idea she was leagues behind ate her up inside. Eventually she decided it was time to push herself and so she found her way to the gate...
Through a little luck on the part of timing Neko found her way into the Anbu, adopting the Codename Viper. She has not done much since starting, but this is only the beginning of this story..
