Journeyman → Sentinel
Michi moved from the main branch to the ANBU branch many years ago. It was during the war against the Sovereign Army, she had been accepted into the shinobi forces by the grace of the former Kazekage Takahashi Sousuke's mercy and the then leader of the ANBU branch, Roku's mercy. She would learn a great deal about a branch of the shinobi world that the Oracle had previously never been exposed to. The main branch was a sort of J
ack of all trades, master of none sort of position. The ANBU were a specialized force, their keen instinct hunting, capturing and gleaning truths from targets would prove to be a fascinating experience. She would develop in her role as a shinobi and as an Oracle greatly under his guidance. She was proud of the skills she had learned, but there was a problem within her. She had unresolved anger towards everyone - her family who she never felt looked for her when the Orders came crashing down, the Orders for forgetting her and for failing, the Daimyo for his cruelty, her son Shouki for existing and the systematic failure of every organization and system. She could never know peace, she would never allow it for herself.

Shinobi 101: Shadow ninjutsu with genjutsu accuracy → Non-elemental ninjutsu with genjutsu accuracy
Michi's ninjutsu skills would begin to slowly generalize in the quiet years that followed the war with the Daimyo. With the great final battle fought and won, while dangerous members of the Sovereign Army were still at large, they lacked a concentrated presence in Wind Country and they were forced to move underground. This gave Michi the freedom to leave Sunagakure. While she was never truly free, she was an asset that had come to Sunagakure under less than favorable circumstances. She understood that she would be pursued for the rest of her life, if not by shinobi forces then by the Sovereign. Of the two, she preferred Sunagakure even if she yearned for freedom from both. For the most part, she was able to delude herself with the fact that she was
free. The trailing shinobi would lessen, become sparse and after a time, she believed that she was entirely forgotten. Odd, that made her feel lonesome despite the fact that she wanted to be free. Freedom meant for her loneliness.
Far from Sennin Mikaboshi's influence, she the Glomming Court influence would fade but never leave her, her more generic abilities would start to shine. Michi might have a deep affinity with the darkness, the gloom and the shadow due to her hybridization at the hand of Mikaboshi, but she was someone with a clinical mind. Her skill was truly in the more general
non-elemental ninjutsu.

Stalker → Summoner
The sabbatical would take Michi into the badlands. The Oracle would spend the next two decades in the desert, far from civilization and therefore far from other people. She rarely found herself back at the gates of Sunagakure. It was not that she ran away. She had found her way back to the gates on rare occasion, but she was forgotten or so it felt. She would find it was less necessary to relegate herself to the shadows, with the exception of the cruel, violent prelidactions of her son, Ishii Shouki. She had developed a few new tricks to confuse him, mostly creations, a few clones, a basic henge... It was not that he was stupid, he was
her son after all so he was nothing less than brilliant, but he was also brash and just liked to smash.
In time, as her ability to hide faded from lack of use, other skills would flourish and take their place.
Most records still describe her as the way she truly is. She did not change much over the past 2 decades. Dark, short, cropped hair and sharp, hard, long features. She was small, her eyes like copper coins that glimmered with curiosity. She made herself appear smaller, simpler, even easier to not be seen.

Healing Factor → Contract Mastery
Outside of battle, no longer in the clutches of some monster, she would find that she was
hurt less. The evolutionary process of the human body required adaptation and a great deal of her energy was exerted on simply healing. Not mentally, but physically. Some scars could never be quite healed, but they could at least fade in time. However, no longer living in constant fear as long as she abided by three simple rules: [1] never say your name outside of Sunagakure. [2] Change your face often. [3] Never stand out. This gave her more time, time to live. Yes, she was alone with one exception: her contracts. Her relationship with her contracts, yes plural, would grow. She had made two contracts in this desert, one with the Bird Contract and the other with the Shark Contract. She had nobody else except those tethered to her, so they [the contract summons and her] kept one another company while they learned the secrets of wind country. Her understanding of creation, of contracts, their respective realms would grow over the years. They would all be inexorably changed. The dark and gloomy avian shadow in one ring, free from the terrible influence of Nao and infused with the the power of the Glomming Court. The playful landshark would represent perhaps a new chapter in her life, and theirs as she was more a grounding force.
She would find herself to primarily be a genjutsuist, someone capable of creating powerful illusions.

Enchanter: Genjutsu Style → Jutsu Expansion
There were not that many enemies in the desert. At least enemies that an illusion would be much of a genefit against. Sandworms are far too massive to find whatever illusionary barrier placed before it to be relevant. The same could be said of carasaurs or any other apex predator in the desert. She needed to find a way to defend herself, rather than trick her opponents when she was in the desert. She was physically weak, while strong for a human woman most certainly, when compared to her male contemporaries, she had noodle arms and her blunted height made what should have been a relatively short woman even in a conventional setting appear to be a midget. She would practice her ninjutsu, inanimate targets and game mostly. By perfecting her seals, snapping those fingers in the cleanest means possible between each of the seals in a proficient manner improved her ultimate output and she would see the result. This would translate to her illusions also and even her taijutsu even if that was her weakest subject. It was certainly one of those - practice makes perfect and if you do not use it, you will lose it that happened with Michi. It was not that she forgot, but as she fell out of practice she found that she had other skills.
