Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kitsune had most decidedly had enough at this point, and the smugness of the scumbag attendant set her off, so as if on cue, a metal gauntlet formed around Kitsunes right fist as she readied it to punch the smug attendant in the face with intent to break his nose, purely for calling her vermin. Chakra user or not, she was still Nobility, and a mere attendant shouldn't get too snooty, lest his nose be turned into a mess of broken bones and shattered cartilage. ”And let that be a lesson to not stick your peasant nose where it doesn’t belong.” she admonished the attendant who’d presumably be on the floor writhing in pain from having his nose broken in multiple places.

She looked at Umashi ”Well, as someone that worked with your father in the medical branch. And as someone who saved his life on two occasions. Keep in mind that he had secrets these scumbags didn’t know about. He didn’t put me in charge of two provinces of the country for nothing. But it would seem even that is attempted as being undone by forces against us.” she said, hoping Umashi would catch her hidden intent before turning her attention to the guard trying to usher her towards one of the exits ”I’m sure this isn’t even the worst to come. So please. Ensure his safety, as I’m sure we’ll hear news about the remaining lineage of the Shogun being snuffed out in the coming future.” she said, hoping to be proven wrong, but having an inkling that she wouldn’t be.

A short while later, she’d meet up with Ziren at the exit gate and as the two made their way away from the palace, Kitsune downed a vial of liquidized chakra so she could cast a sound dampening field around them by changing the wind currents. ”On a scale from 1 to Hell in a handbasket, we’re pretty screwed.” she said once the field was in place ”Umashi was taken inside for his protection due to the ruse he initiated, and there’s a nationwide coup going on at the moment. The other daimyo apparently got together now that they saw an opportunity to seize power. So we’re in quite a pickle on that front... What did you discover from the assassin?”

Finally, Kitsune had arrived and had told me of a political coup starting to happen. Always people wanting to grab that seat of power. In fire Country or in Lightning Country, power hungry people are always the same. I shake my head and when it was my turn to speak, I spoke of what Yoru has found. "My friend has found out that the palace is teeming with spies. None have really spoken to one another, so it is a possibility that they have other forms of communication, or that their plan needed no talking. Nevertheless, I have a feeling the two happenings are not coincidences. Seems too perfect for something of the like to happen like this. As for the assassin, he wasn't as forthcoming as he had feigned to be earlier. But there was one thing for certain. He is deathly afraid of the Tenouzans and whatever power they may wield. He has sprouted off that we might as well be dead right now."

I let out a sigh, "So we'll need to rescue Umashi, yeah? And figure out what other things Tenouza has planned. My apologies that I haven't really gotten anything out of the assassin than from what my friend had found out of spies everywhere."

Nervous couldn't begin to spell the feeling of dread that caused Umashi's stomach to churn. While expected and in some respects warranted, Kitsune's stunt of knocking the socks off of a court official had only added to the chaos of the palace. Thinking that he'd be forced to resolve the matter himself, he was instead escorted away to await his own trial of sorts, that of proving that he was indeed the late Shogun's son. Assuming that they were moving quickly to figure out who exactly he was due to the fact that there was a breakdown in the political structure of the country, Umashi went along with their request and soon found himself sitting on an ornate bench outside of an office just down the hall from a room where his fate was being decided. Not sure what to expect, Umashi raked his brain for just what sort of tricks he'd need to employ to get himself out of the current predicament that he was in.

"Your favorite dish is anything involving Hanu beef, you were known for spending more than enough to keep a sizeable herd of them them just outside of the palace grounds and regularly had imported studs from Bear sent over. Your favorite color is white, you were engaged but it was arranged, you hate snakes, both literally and metaphorically and you have no full siblings, only half siblings. Fortunately most of them are deceased due to recent events and most of the one's remaining have no actual right to the throne but I'd still watch my back if I were you. They'll do a blood test and pretend to send it off but they didn't keep DNA test on you early children so just act natural and you'll be fine. Besides, you do actually look like him." The girl that spoke matter of factly to Umashi seemingly appeared out of nowhere on the same bench but just beyond his arms reach. Startled that he hadn't noticed her, he tried to keep from showing such on his face but she seemed to pick up on it with a knowing look. "And you are?" He kept his voice in check but even as he did, he noticed the scepter in her hand and realized that he was well within range of being able to be hit by it. With whatever chakra dampening was going on in the Capital region, he'd have to rely on what he could muster but a drawn out fight wasn't something that he could manage.

Surprising Umashi though, the girl reached out a hand for him to take and shake.
"Jin Jae-Wol, but most folks call me Lord R . . . you're probably still not catching that nuanced part, are you? Just call me Jae-Wol. Either way, I'm your sister from another . . . ok, that saying only works if I were a guy." Laughing to herself, the girl saw that Umashi wasn't quick to extend his hand so she drew it back and continued talking. "Anyway, we've the same dad, different moms, yours from Bear and mine's from Marsh. We never really interacted with each other due to you disappearing shortly after I was born but obviously our father's brief fetish for chakra sensitive women of a certain variety is pretty obvious." At the saying of the last portion both Umashi and the woman looked at each other and nodded in knowing unison. "Or maybe I should say, my father. The Tenouzan spies know that you know that they know that you aren't who you pretend to be. Lord L is definitely dead-dead but there's more impressionable folks in the court who have a reasonable doubt. I just came back from a possible future and the spies are definitely going to have you thrown in prison if you screw this one up."

"Wait, you said that you did what, now?"
Getting up, the rather observant Lord R stretched her legs and took back up her scepter while she left Umashi to ponder what exactly she meant by returning from the future. Giving him a knowing wink, she playfully bopped him on the head before he could react. "Surely you didn't think that papa was a rolling stone for no reason did you? All of his children were strategically conceived for one reason and one reason only, to be his own private army of loyal chakra sensitive soldiers!" About to continue on, she stopped when the sound of a large creaking door opening echoed through the hallway. Lowering her voice and crouching down low, she gave Umashi one more helpful piece of information. "Look, some of us want to bring this whole house of cards down just as much as you do but we gotta do it the right way. I don't trust you Kumogakure types further than I can throw you but you're arguably better than the opposition." Umashi had to admit that she had a point there. "Jin Tae-Yang, oppa, you got this!" And just before the approaching court officials could spot her, she disappeared in just the same fashion as she had appeared. Exposition appreciated, Umashi got up to greet the officials and sure enough, it was easy to spot the Tenouzan spy smiling just a bit too hard at what they probably assumed would be a quick clean up job. Little did they know however, that their troubles were only just beginning.
