[fontsize="11"]Enduring the seemingly unending glide downstairs, Natsu impatiently wobbled on the balls of his feet. It had been rather hard to gain access to the elevator. After all, even with all the permission he possessed to enter the Library, the Kumo-Nin lacked the Chakra Mark Mist was so fond of. Thus, after a lot of arguing and reasoning and checking with superiors, he'd convinced a member of the Library Staff to accompany him into the elevator. And if the grumpy man's presence wasn't enough to punish him, then surely the neverending
elevator music would do the trick.
At the same time however, he was excited to come here. The language had been something which very much intrigued Natsu. He was considered a linguistic scholar, mostly by himself but whatever, back in Kumo. Speaking the Common tongue, both Vulgar and Classic Ancient Kumo and Hangul had often been an incredible edge in political debates. Being able to add Mizugo to that list soon would be wonderful. Besides, he had found a very well-kept secret back in Kumogakure. One of its previous inhabitants had made it his life's work to collect as much literature concerning the Shinobi Arts as possible. Both recent and some on the brink of crumbling to dust.
Not only did it provide detailed descriptions of Jutsu, both common and forbidden ones, but also of ancient bloodlines, powerful Shinobi revered as Gods in their time and the mythical Kinjutsu. While not all the work was accurate or up to date, they were a fantastic read. The only issue had been that not everything was in languages he spoke. Some of the scrolls had been completely incomprehensible to the Spymaster who so prided him on his knowledge of languages. Perhaps Mizugo would be one of them? Considering the Village only existed since recently, the language likely wouldn't be much older, but he had noticed the Kirigakurian symbol on a few of them. Perhaps it was the language of the Country and not the Village though.. Mist and Water, it was all too similar anyway!
With a ping, the elevator finally announced his arrival at the right floor. Nodding his thanks to the grumpy worker, he quickly took off in search of Rozan. At least, that was the plan. The massive amount of books easily distracted him. They were compilations of secrets and if he had been able, Natsu would've read each one of them. It was only with the greatest effort that he managed to make his way to Rozan in a somewhat straight line.. Okay, it wasn't a straight line, hush! At least he was there before he could be considered too late. That was one benefit of getting up early due to screaming infants in a house with two of them.
"Greetings, Rozan." Natsu spoke, announcing his presence to the man.
"How are you?" He asked, making the obligatory small talk. Quickly however, the Chunin noticed the three books, his interest immediately flaring up once more.
"I have to admit, I am quite eager to begin. But I shall await your instructions." He nodded with a smile. The Spymaster still had his doubts about the Setsumon couple, but the urge to learn Mizugo far outweighed his desire to find out the truth about them. Perhaps after he could speak more than the handful of words he'd picked up after the conversation between Rozan and the Medical Sennin at the docks? The talk would happen one way or another though. He had to know the truth. Such was his job.
