Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Physical Description:
Hikaru is an even young woman with dark hair that falls to her shoulders and regularly fades between black and brown; her eyes, defined by brief flecks of hazel around their edges, often mirror the shade of her hair. She has somewhat pale skin lightened from many mornings spent indoors, studying in the library or leafing through information available at the hospital. Her stature is very nearly average, though she has at last reached a height that allows her to just peer over the heads of others her age. She often wears robes colored the notable green of her mother's clan, sometimes swapped out for a white labcoat and Byoin uniform while she's working. She shares many of her physical aspects with her late mother, but she has her father Kaito’s unmistakable grin, rare as it may be to see her grin instead of a small smile.

Mental Description:
Hikaru is an agreeable, booksmart person who cares for everyone she calls a friend. She’s logical, but a little spacey sometimes, and thinks to herself much more often than she puts those thoughts to words. While she might be absent-minded at times, she always has a goal in mind and works towards it as best she can. Though she has attained her dream of becoming a ninja, she lives out her days working towards contributing to the Medical Branch that she has come to call home. Hikaru has strong ideals, however she chooses to show them, and dedicates herself to the well-being of others as well as the pursuit of understanding. She can be stubborn, however, and often takes it personally when her and close friends’ values are disputed, leaving her temper much shorter than it normally is. Above all, she enjoys spending time in peace with her father, her friends, or by herself.

History:
Hikaru was born early on a breezy mid-April morning to Miyazaki Kaito, a bookworm-turned-researcher with old dreams of becoming a ninja, and Miyazaki Mitsuo, a Leaf Kunoichi. The small family enjoyed their quaint life together, but Mitsuo died after only a few years, leaving Hikaru to be raised by her father. He took his now monumental role in his daughter’s development seriously and fed her every book and journal he could get his hands on. Striving to be anything but the boring, workaholic dad he believes he was, he took every opportunity to take his daughter to festivals and tell her her mother’s stories about the ninja world. These stories especially inspired Hikaru, and are the reason she strived become a ninja for as long as she can remember. Her father shaped who she has become as a person: she enjoys helping him out with his historical research, and followed his path as a scientist into the Medical Branch as a healer and Medical Chief.[/TD]

Hashigaki are often born blind, and those that are not will often willingly cast aside their vision to embrace their bloodlines full abilities. While a curse to many outside the clan, this trait has developed into a skill that allows them to sound in an entirely different way, in such a way that one's eyes would see people walking by, a Hashigaki sees sound as a living thing, which they claim allows them to "view the world in its true form". A most ironic twist of a fate, Hashigaki are known for having beautiful, almost crystalline, eyes which they will never see for themselves. While some came to become renowned artists in the art of music, there are those who walked down the path of the shinobi. Using their ability to manipulate sound as a tool of war, they become an invaluable asset in terms of reconnaissance and sentries to name a few.

Note: It is not required for the Hashigaki to be completely Blind upon choosing this Bloodline, although a proper explanation in your application would suffice as to why you are different from the classic Hashigaki.

Blindsight - Passive
An ancient technique developed by the first Hashigaki that has been passed down in which it allows them to see the world through sound. This allows the Hashigaki to perceive things that are not normally seen by normal eyes. In return, their ears become a fatal weakness as it deprives them of seeing things when disturbed.

Rank 1/2/3: The user gains +1 / +2 / +3 Awareness and is unaffected by Transformation, Blindness (such as Verse of Darkness), Smokebomb, Smokescreen, and Stealth%27s Visibility modifiers (when making Awareness checks against others). This also extends to effects which would attempt to copy their effects.

Note:
- Visual genjutsu still affect the user, and are assumed to affect their method of perceiving the world.

Performance - Passive
Blessed with the natural talent of art and music. A Hashigaki at first hones their ability to control sound either through an instrument of their choice or even their own body.

Effect: The user chooses between the Instrument OR Voice.
  • Instrument - The user designates a single weapon in their Dojo as an Instrument. While equipped with their Instrument, the user may channel Sound Jutsu through their weapon. Sound Jutsu deal +10% Damage.
  • Voice - The user may perform Sound jutsu without handseals. This is disabled if the user is affected by Called Shot: Neck [Fractured or Broken].
Rank 1: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound by paying an additional 20% Chakra Cost.
Rank 2: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound by paying an additional 10% Chakra Cost.
Rank 3: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound at no extra cost.

Note:
- The Hashigaki automatically has access to the Sound Element.
- All techniques used with this are treated as Sound Jutsu.

Battle Anthem - E-Rank Sound Ninjutsu
Playing their song of war, a Hashigaki plays their unique music to gain the immediate upper hand by rousing their allies or demoralizing their foes.

Rank 1: Choose either to grant the user's allies +1 Accuracy/+5% Damage or cause enemies to suffer -1 Accuracy/-5% Damage.
Rank 2: Choose either to grant the user's allies +2 Accuracy/+10% Damage or cause enemies to suffer -2 Accuracy/-10% Damage.
Rank 3: Grant the user's allies +1 Accuracy and +5% Damage and cause enemies to suffer -1 Accuracy and -5% Damage.

Rank 1/2/3 Cost: 1 AP and 250/400/550 CP to initiate, 125/200/275 CP per 10 seconds maintained.

Notes:
- If the user casts this action as their first action in combat, it gains Priority.
- Enemies only suffer from the effects of Battle Anthem if they are aware of the user.
- Lasts for 20 seconds.

Ghost Dancers - Chakra Style
While their eyes lacks the ability to perceive things other would normally do, they instead see sound as a being. Varying in shapes and sizes, and with practice - allows them to call upon these beings that they can onyl see to aid them in their living.

Rank 1/2/3: While in this stance, casting a Sound Jutsu calls upon a Ghost Dancer. In addition, whenever the user performs a Sound Jutsu, all Ghost Dancers currently active (excluding the one that was just recently summoned) will attempt to hit the same target, using the user's Ninjutsu Accuracy to deal illusionary damage equal to 1% of the target's maximum HP.

Note:
- They can only have a maximum of 2 / 3 / 4 Ghost Dancers active at a time.
- A target can only be hit successfully by a Ghost Dancer 6 times each round.
- If the Sound Jutsu can hit multiple target, you can assign your Ghost Dancers to which target they would attack.
- A Ghost Dancer does not have its own awareness (it uses the user's), but may target individuals in Stealth without requiring a Blindshot. A stealthed target hit by a Ghost Dancer in this way will not be removed from stealth, and the user will not gain awareness of the target.
- A Ghost Dancer has no secondary stats, is dispersed by any damage, and is dispersed by any action targeting them (they cannot dodge/resist, and even if it deals no damage).
- If the user is maintaining a Sound Jutsu(s), it summons a Ghost Dancer each time you pay for the maintenance cost for a Sound Jutsu.

Cadenza - Independent Special Move
Everything has a beginning and an end, even in music, but for a Hashigaki, the ending has to end in a performance no one will forget.

Rank 1/2/3: Choose a single target. For 5 / 7 / 10 seconds, if you successfully hit or apply a secondary effect with a Sound Jutsu 3 times, those 3 Sound Jutsus involved will have their secondary effects automatically inflicted on target you choose.

Cost: 1 AP

Notes:
- Cannot be used again while it is already active. Has a 10 second cooldown once it ends.
- The user must use 3 Sound Jutsus that successfully hits or has applied an effect to count towards the condition. (A Sound Jutsu hitting successfully or applying a secondary effect on 2 or more separate targets only counts as 1).
- If the user fails to reach the conditions for the duration, it goes on cooldown.

Echoing Discord - Passive
Hashigakis are more than capable of inflicting chaos at a much faster rate by means of spreading music, carrying the tunes of their destructive sound from one person to another, similar to a plague.

Rank 1/2/3: When a Ghost Dancer deals damage with their attack against a target affected by a secondary effect from a Sound Jutsu, the Ghost Dancer becomes charged, causing all of their succeeding attacks to have a chance to inflict the same secondary effect.

Note:
- A Ghost Dancer can only hold a single secondary effect from a Sound Jutsu. If they hit a target affected by the same secondary effect that they have, but from a Sound Jutsu with a higher chance of inflicting it, their chance of inflicting is replaced with it. (A Ghost Dancer with a 32% chance to inflict X Effect hits a player with X Effect but was inflicted to him at 50% chance, the Ghost Dancer's attacks now has 50% chance to inflict X Effect).

Disturbed Noise - Passive
A Hashigaki who focuses solely on destruction and pain can forcefully call upon what was once a benevolent being to their side, creating a rampaging spirit of noise as opposed to the usual.

Rank 1/2/3: Whenever the user summons a Ghost Dancer, they immediately attempt to attack the target you dealt damage with your Sound Jutsu. If you use a Sound Jutsu that does not deal any damage, the Ghost Dancer will attack a random target.

Painful Purge - C-Rank Sound Jutsu
While their music continues to inflict pain and chaos to their foes, a Hashigaki can willingly remove such effects in exchange of inflicting far greater pain.

Rank 1/2/3: Attempts to remove all secondary effects inflicting a target at +2 Accuracy. If successful, deals 1,000 damage and all secondary effects are removed, dealing an additional 300 / 350 / 400 damage for each secondary effect removed. If the user misses, all secondary effects affecting the target is removed and no damage is dealt.

Rank 1/2/3 Cost: 2 AP and 450/560/675 CP to initiate.

Notes:
- Only applies to secondary effects inflicted by Sound Jutsus.
- Secondary effects that stacks counts as 1 secondary effect per stack (a secondary effect that stacks up to 3 times counts as if having 3 secondary effects inflicted on the target).

Musical Agony - Dependent Special Action
There are records that music was once a form of torture and the results varied, but in the hands of a Hashigaki, their music takes the results to the next level. Gathering before sacrificing the living sound that accompanies them, the Hashigaki unleashes a deadly musical attack.

Rank 1/2/3: The user may choose any active Ghost Dancers and immediately disperses them, granting the Sound Jutsu a +5% damage for each Ghost Dancer and +1 Accuracy for every 2 Ghost Dancers. If all Ghost Dancers were sacrificed, the attack also gains +1 Critical.

Note:
- The Sound Jutsu used in conjunction to this Special Action will not summon a Ghost Dancer.

My Song - Dissonance Version - A-Rank Sound Jutsu
Perhaps the most dangerous and beautiful technique of a Hashigaki is their ability to compose their own music or song. While everyone can do it, a Hashigaki's composition is unique to the point it is imbued by chakra itself which leads to a wide variety of effects to those who hears it.

Rank 1/2/3: Allows up to 3 / 4 / 5 Musical Notes to be composed.

Effect: Sings a Song Jutsu of their own creation; all in battle other than the user are targeted by the effects equally. This jutsu targets Genjutsu Save rather than Ninjutsu Dodge. May be maintained up to 30 seconds.

Musical Notes and Effects: - The user may choose from the four different notes listed below to compose My Song:
  • High Note - +600 damage.
  • Low Note - +470 damage, +1 Accuracy
  • Filler Note - +400 damage, may exclude a single target from the effects of this jutsu.
  • Special Note- Applies an effect for the entire jutsu, depending on where it is placed - only a single Special Note can be placed on a composition::
    • 1st - Multiplies the damage dealt by all Notes by x1.4.
    • 2nd - If at least 3 or more targets are successfully hit by this jutsu, triggers Cadenza.
    • 3rd - Causes all of the user's currently active Ghost Dancers to withstand an attack or action that would otherwise disperse them twice.
    • 4th - The user may have My Song inflict the effects (other than damage) of a B-Rank or lower Genjutsu they own (at the rank they own) for the duration of the round they are affected by My Song. The effects of this Genjutsu overwrite any other Genjutsu of the same Sense while affected.
    • 5th - Reduces an affected target's Accuracy and Dodge by 1 for every 800 damage dealt for 10 seconds.

Costs: 3 AP; 500 Chakra per Note to initiate; 50% of the initial Chakra Cost per round maintained.

Notes:
- Once dropped, requires a 10 second cooldown before recast.
- My Song makes a Ninjutsu check each round active, and reapplies its effects at this time if hit.
- This jutsu is a single attack, dealing the combined effects of all notes.
- Special Note Effects does not extend to Creations and Clones currently active, but Contract Summons and Petsare affected by the effects.

Physical Description:
Teru bears a familial resemblance to her cousin Hikaru, although she's often been told that she looks much more like her late aunt instead. She keeps her brown hair grown out long and doesn't like to put it up very often- she's been known to stubbornly let it fly into her face during drawn-out training sessions. Her eyes are a deep blue uncharacteristic of the Amari clan, instead belonging to her father, Shuji. Most of the time, she dresses formally, enjoying the air of importance and precision it gives her, though she'll occasionally wear regular green Amari robes or an old blue labcoat.

Mental Description:
Teru is a prodigious, sociable individual who takes pride in representing the next generation of the Amari. She's easily comfortable around people she knows well, and almost always adopts a unique way of speaking to them, be it a nickname, secret language, or just a handful of well-meaning insults. She spends much of her time between the Amari compound and Konohagakure, reading or training or attending clan gatherings with her mother, but one of her favorite activities is travelling with her father, exploring forgotten villages and scenic environments. Despite her commitment to self-improvement and duty as a Leaf Shinobi, however, she has difficulty responding to tension or stress, often allowing them to get the better of her when under pressure. Because of this, she unconsciously seeks a more passive approach to her problems and leaves the direct confrontations to those she trusts.

History:
Amari Teru is the daughter of Hokama Shuji and Amari Mitsume, born into the aging but noble Amari Clan. As one of the very few members of the clan's youngest generation, Teru had been selected as its next heir since her aunt passed away, and embraced the position more or less enthusiastically. Though her father's bloodline bestowed considerable natural talent upon her, she was encouraged by her mother to take her training to lead the clan seriously, including the boring parts like meeting with the elders and maintaining the clan complex's grounds. She learned to hold the clan in very high esteem, and began to enjoy talking with others about their future plans and aspirations. She pieced together a dream of her own- she wanted to become head of the clan, of course, and work towards establishing her own village with close ties to the Hidden Leaf.

Always having been somewhat starved for peers her age, Teru grew close to Hikaru, secretly regretting their gradual drifting apart as they got older. Though she would only jokingly call it a rivalry, she took their competitions seriously as well- having some affinity for biological study and plenty of experience nursing battle wounds, she joined the Medical Branch, splitting her time between working at the Byoin and taking up clan duties at home.
